My new favorite coffee breakfast spot in the bywater! Fantastic food at good prices always makes me happy. And the aesthetic is so cool. You'll love the cute courtyard in the back, and cool art work and murals inside. I had the 3 egg kale omelette, and the peanut butter cookie crumble pancake with caramel drizzle. Word in the street is you can get a slice of Dong Phuong king cake here for Mardi gras. The lunch sandwiches here look pretty awesome as well, I'll be back often!

We enjoyed a nice casual brunch here. You order and pay at the counter and thet bring you your food and drinks and you bus your own dishes when done. The green sandwich was tasty and comes on your choice of a bagel, croissant or toast. The lemon lavender pancakes were so delicious and they were veey generous with the lemon curd. We did not even need the pancake syrup since the curd was so tasty in itself. The cinammon brown sugar latte was pretty but not sweet enough for me. They do have a section with milk and sugar etc. if you need to doctor your drinks. Others in our group got the breakfast plate, thr breakfast burrito, and the cuban sandwich. All were satisfied with the food and portion sizes.

Cute and casual spot for a quick bite before starting my vacation day. Service was quick and the food tasted great. Not too heavy and the ambiance was quite relaxing.

Food was decent, but these cookies were very good! A great place to stop if wanting to eat outside the "city" area!

It had been a while since I last went to Satsuma, and I'm glad I did. This was my first time visiting the Dauphine St. location (I went to the Maple St. one a handful of times) and enjoyed the location. I ordered an iced dirty chai and the Mexican breakfast plate. For the most part, I enjoyed the breakfast. However, the tortillas were cold and stiff and there was hardly any salsa. If you are going to prominently list salsa as one of the ingredients, I would expect more than a teaspoon of it. Overall, I'd be happy going back and trying other things from the menu. I saw a few people eating pancakes that looked very very tasty.

Great food and coffee, especially like the pancakes with real maple syrup! Soothing music, local art beautifies the space. Staff is always welcoming and brings your food to the table.

Soggy spinach with half yes HALF an egg and a bite of avocado. That's how it arrived for $13.68

This was a total bummer. I came to New Orleans for the food. We were staying nearby and most eateries were closed as it was a weekday so we came here a few times. Breakfast was fine so we can by for lunch. I got the worst salad I've ever had. If you want to spend $13.68 for a bunch of soggy spinach and not even two bites of avocado you've come to the right place. The people working inside could have been kinder too. I went to use the bathroom and they demanded you stand in a certain spot. Don't mind doing that just could have asked kindly. I'd skip this spot.

Cute cafe in the bywater - friendly staff - adorable cafe cat that will come in. However, i feel everything is a bit overpriced for what it is. I believe i paid about 7.50 for a green eggs and ham on a bagel. to be fair, it was good (minus the ham), but it was lacking pesto in the egg. i wish there were more cheese too. overall it was an overpriced mediocre egg n cheese sandwhich at best. Theres plenty of juices to choose from, but they too are a bit overpriced.

I came here for breakfast this morning with a friend. We sat outside and it was nice and quiet. A cute cat came by and there were a few birds outside in the trees next to our table. My friend and I both ordered the avocado toast. It was small for $8, I was pretty surprised. Also, it didn't taste particularly good, the avocado mash was really bland. I also had a lemonade which was nice. Overall, it's a nice environment but would recommend trying something other than the avocado toast.

My husband and I both have Celiac Disease (gluten free) and we're vegetarians. We visited here on our trip to New Orleans for brunch. This is a small and charming cafe-style joint with a nice patio. It's not a dedicated kitchen but the staff happily prepared us an egg sandwich on housemade GF bread as well as an eggs & black beans breakfast with housemade tortillas. They cleaned off surfaces to prepare our meals. My husband and I are both very sensitive and felt fine after this meal. Amazing coffee here, too.

TGTG is a program for avoiding food waste (or an App for scoring cheap food, to take another perspective). In this case I bought discounted fruit, juice, and overnight oats from Sprouts at the end of their business day. This was a welcome treat for a hot April day in New Orleans, and a welcome detox! I also ordered food to-go - a vegan breakfast wrap ($10) which the young chap was happy to make even though it was less than 10 min before closing. I was impressed with this breakfast wrap (black beans, Just vegan egg, spinach, and veggies) and would come again for the food. And the fruit too, for sure, especially as it's more-or-less guilt free (organic fruit in returnable containers). I'm also rating Sprouts Organic Café 5 out of 5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, based on the following: * Everything is vegan, avoiding the food product that poses the biggest threats to our planet. * Uses organic ingredients and ethical vegan suppliers like Just egg. * Containers can be brought back to the store for re-use. This is a very neat arrangement - containers are labeled to return to the store after use. Or you can re-use it yourself if you don't make it back there. Simple as that! * Small, local, black-woman-owned business. You can read an article about the owner, D. Joan Rhodes (part of New Orelans history) in Kreol Magazine, online. * There's not a ton of fresh food to be had in the French Quarter / Tremé area. This is an important addition. Joan also stocks detox drinks and hangover tonics!
