You'll love the cute courtyard in the back, and cool art work and murals inside. I had the 3 egg kale omelette, and the peanut butter cookie crumble pancake with caramel drizzle. I ordered avocado toast with eggs, waited nearly fifty minutes, and it arrived without the eggs. When I pointed it out, the server got defensive and rude. We enjoyed a nice casual brunch here. You order and pay at the counter and thet bring you your food and drinks and you bus your own dishes when done. The green sandwich was tasty and comes on your choice of a bagel, croissant or toast. The lemon lavender pancakes were so delicious and they were veey generous with the lemon curd. We did not even need the pancake syrup since the curd was so tasty in itself. The cinammon brown sugar latte was pretty but not sweet enough for me. They do have a section with milk and sugar etc. if you need to doctor your drinks. Others in our group got the breakfast plate, thr breakfast burrito, and the cuban sandwich. Gosh this was a hard review to write or even number. The employees are nice and friendly and I love the ambience. It's got a great outdoors area with tables and is just such a fun place. However, the two things I tried did not make me a fan. And that's the problem. I started out with the mushroom sandwich and I'd have loved it (I think) except for the peppers. As in hot peppers, and the menu doesn't say that there are peppers. Excited for my mouth catching for I really like the sandwich. So when I returned it I had to come up with something I wanted to eat. That just was such a compromise that I didn't like it. And we had to adjust it because of my being pescatarian. So it was doomed to failure. They do have some cool breakfast items and I plan to come back and will revisit this review then. read more

This was my first time visiting the Dauphine St. location (I went to the Maple St. one a handful of times) and enjoyed the location. I ordered an iced dirty chai and the Mexican breakfast plate. For the most part, I enjoyed the breakfast. However, the tortillas were cold and stiff and there was hardly any salsa. If you are going to prominently list salsa as one of the ingredients, I would expect more than a teaspoon of it. Overall, I'd be happy going back and trying other things from the menu. This place is so cute and the food is good! It's only a short walk from my workplace, so I often come here to grab a midday snack or a cup of coffee. I'm a huge fan of the mocha and of the simple egg and cheese on a bagel. I typically grab the food to go (and their service is fast!) so I haven't actually sat down here yet. But if you are in the market for a sit down meal there's plenty of seating and a reasonably diverse menu. If you're a vegetarian like I am, you should be fine here. Another big plus: There's a great patio area outside as well! They also have decent WiFi and outlets so if you just need a spot to work this is definitely a space to consider. read more

Quiona & Eggs - my other friend, who took us to this place, got some of the specials this time. He is trying to go for healthier choices, and he didn't regret at all, he loved it. One of my favorite places to grab a nice, not too heavy lunch. The turkey pesto aioli sandwich is something I crave for months and have tried to replicate to no avail. It's new years and we decide that we want to do a little cute brunch before we set off on our adventure... we arrive at like 11:45am and place our order.. 3 egg dishes... plus a large coffee. Simple enough. We find our seat and the coffee comes within 5 minutes. We wait... we wait... we wait. (Somehow I feel satsuma means to wait) we change seats 3 times... and we wait. We wait. We wait.. we wait. 1 hour passes.. we wait... remember these are egg dishes... unless you are having freshly laid eggs where you have to coax the hens to lay eggs by singing some magical mystical song... then there is no fucking way that eggs should take over an hour to prepare. We inquired once about the length of time it takes for the egg dishes to be prepared and was greeted with "we are sorry for the delay but it's on its way". Nice rhyme right? We wait and we wait and we wait. We inquire once more about the length of time it takes for these very complicated egg dishes to be prepared... and we were given a refund without asking for it... then like magic... these magical egg dishes appear. Having waited 1+ hour for our dishes... the minimum expectation would be for the dishes to be hot... it could taste like shit... but since the eggs are fresh out of the hen and the we waited 1 hour for it to be cooked... it should be doubly hot. Nope... cold as ice.. i had cold eggs... cold beans cold tortillas... cold everything. If u dont value your time and like cold eggs. This is the place for you. I however do like hot food and and value my time... so I wont be going back and I'll encourage everyone to avoid this place. read more
