We got a burger, quesadilla, and crab dip, and a beer. The quesadilla was very good. The burger was ok and the crab dip was not good. The dip was white with clumps of yellow cheese on top. We couldn't detect any crab in the dip. It ended up costing us $73. That seemed high for what we got. The staff was very friendly. We really wanted to like our meal. I've been here several times since this restaurant took over the Pickel Barrel (RIP) but what a nice replacement! I brought my wife to see what I have been raving about for the last two weeks. This time I tried the Baja Bacon Chicken Sandwich. My wife tried the wings and a side salad. Everything was excellent. We went for a quick dinner on Monday night. My husband reviewed the meal perfectly "it's worse than airport food". We started with the pork rinds. There was a distinct bad after taste. I don't know why but I stopped eating them. For a main course I had the avocado chicken wrap. It came with zero sauce (that it was supposed to have) tons of lettuce that was way past its prime and was bland. My side was collards and on first bite they were gritty. Clearly not cleaned well. Although if it's trivia night it is really loud and that's OK because if you like trivia go for it I have had so many dishes here the burgers are amazing the chicken pot pie that is seasonal that is available right now is a must have! The place was pretty packed for brunch, but the food and drinks came out really fast considering how busy they were. Our server was amazing, so attentive and very friendly. I got the chicken and waffles and it was very tasty. The chicken was well seasoned and cooked well and the waffles were cooked perfectly. My son got the pork belly sandwich and it was magnificent. We have really come to enjoy ITW and it has become part of our regular restaurant rotation. We tried them right after they opened and the experience left much to be desired. However, we like the original enough that we decided to stick with the new location and see if they'd up their game. They absolutely have and the food and service are quite good. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is casual. It looks like they're adding an outside dining area so we're excited for warmer weather to be able to come and enjoy a meal on their covered patio. Unfortunately the seasonal lobster roll I had was not my favorite. For me, lobster was salty and there was too much dill and mayo. I came on a weekday for lunch and the atmosphere was laid back. Loved that Industrial Taphouse came to Goochland County. The citizens of Goochland have shown up. Sadly, each time we have come here the service has gotten slower and slower. Almost to the point of no service!!! Came tonight at 7:20. Place was fairly full but we were the only ones waiting to order. Now 7:35 and not one person has even taken our drink order. The wings sauce selection was very limited and needs some work but hopefully they listen to customers and make the necessary improvements. The staff were nice and knowledgeable but they need more hospitality training and need to engage customers more. The bar tender was good, she was engaging and quick and very nice. They have a nice beer selection and full bar, so it's great to have some drinks after work. I noticed they had a big enjoy room used for big parties but I'm not sure about how to go about reserving it. All in al, to me it's more of a social watering hole than a family environment. The server was very nice. Great personality would give her a 10, but the food was, a letdown the chicken was very small. The waffles were cold almost seem like they were just microwaved. The gravy for the gravy and biscuits was completely cold. Bloody Mary had a good taste, but the bacon we asked to add was almost raw. I wish when a new place opens a manager would come around when the places isn't busy and asked how things were. The acoustics inside this restaurant are the worst I have experienced in decades. Ambient noise (conversation) is so painfully loud that having your own private conversation is exhausting. The food was good. Basic acoustic dampening would change everything. The appearance was great, staff was great, and it probably would have been fine if it just wasn't so loud. Don't go there if you want to enjoy conversation. If there was a band there you would want full hearing protection. You have been warned. Having been to Industrial Taphouse West once before and enjoying a pleasant dinner, I was floored by our recent experience. The waitress was barely courteous, and came across as truly annoyed throughout our visit. We ordered an appetizer of cheese curds to share, and had to flag her down to request plates. Water was not provided until well into the meal, and only after we asked for it. The entrees were fine, but the pecan pie... wow. That was the smallest slice of pie I've ever seen sold in a restaurant. No more than 2" wide, 4" long, and perhaps 3/8" thick. No caramel drizzle or whipped cream (as stated on the menu). I'm sorry to say that this experience kills Industrial Taphouse for me, and that's a shame because good restaurants in this area are few and far between. read more

My buddy Jim and I frequent your establishment very often so I am very familiar with your beer "rotations", I consider myself a beer connoisseur haha. You are not rotating beers, you're simply out. Maybe you are confused with the term rotation which means you put a beer of similar type which is not happening. Also you don't rotate a beer like miller lol so as I appreciate your response, I don't appreciate being lied to. The problem is quite clear, you have a bar manager with no experience or with zero care about this establishment. You are also out of liquor a lot of times as well, do you rotate that as well? It's very sad to see a new place like this struggling when this is truly what Goochland needs. This place could be awesome just have to iron out a few kinks. We went to the new Industrial Taphouse for dinner last night. Like our first visit, the staff was friendly and engaging, though harried. Food is about halfway to acceptable. For instance, my Reuben had plenty of meat on it, but they didn't rinse the sauerkraut, so it was super vinegary, and the bread is like that cheap rye bread you get at the supermarket and need a dental instrument to scrape off your teeth. Kim had a burger that seemed OK. She ate it all. They cook them smash style and only one temperature -- gray. It came with sweet potato tots that were pretty good when hot, but since we were seated directly beneath a ceiling fan, the wind blew the food cold within minutes. Stephen ordered a Hangover Sandwich that featured two of the gray hamburger patties, a fried egg, potatoes, and bacon, I think. He had a hard time keeping the filling between the bun. It looked like fun. While there were three in our party, it was a lonely dinner because we could not communicate with each other due to the explosive din in the place. We actually had to yell our orders into the waiter's ear. I'm not exaggerating. There were at least three women shrieking and howling at the top of their lungs, and the underlying roar was like standing on a railroad siding when a coal train goes by. I definitely expected more flavor & I could have made this better at home. The sweet potato tater tots were my favorite & those probably come frozen. My friend got the Baja bacon chicken sandwich & it came out cold. Wasn't very flavorful either. The fries were over seasoned, cold & not very good. Tasted like they had been sitting out.
