We have been ordering the margarita pizza for years and they never disappoint. It's always one of our favorites.

After reading the recent reviews I thought we would give them another shot. Maybe I'm wrong but I just don't see that the dough is "made fresh daily". Toppings were okay but for a place that says "it's all about the sauce" seemed like we didn't get that much of it. For a pizza that is about the same quality as Pizza Hut but twice the price I guess it will be another two years before I try it again. I really do want them to make a great pizza. But tonight's was not it. read more

Still waiting on the Pizza, but the lady that took my order over the phone was nothing but rude. She took my VISA CC and told me that, that card is not supported by their system. I asked if we could try again and asked her to repeat the card number back as I read it to her and it went through just fine. Once it went through, she said, "that will be 45 minutes" and hung up! No thank you, have a nice day, or good bye. Hopefully their pizza is better than their service! Updating- Delivery guy was awesome. He literally apologized "for my generation" My kids said this was the best delivery pizza they've had. I would recommend giving them the benefit of the doubt. We moved nearby recently so we HAD to try out the local pizza joint. The pizza is nothing to write home about. The wings also tasted like the oil should have been about 50-100 degrees hotter (wings should be Crispy on the outside). The sauce was terrible and rather one dimensional. Probably Frank's Hot Sauce. We also got a small pizza for the kids and split a spinach and ricotta calzone. It was just ok. The crust was chewy and thick, which I don't like. I prefer more of the traditional NY style, or the Neapolitan/Chicago style so the medium crust just doesn't do it for me. The pepperoni was just ok and I was not overwhelmed with the sauce. If you're going to call yourself Saucy's, you better have great sauce. Again, just meh. I'll give it another shot, but my expectations are not high. At least the service was good and the manager discounted our meal (free small pizza if you spend $25). We spent under the amount but she still gave us the free pie. Also, the place is tiny. This restaurant used to be called Nicolos Chicago Pizza. Same employees work there now (or at least did after the transition). Much to my surprise one day when I ordered from them and they answered the phone differently. What's nice about this place is that it's NOT a chain like Dominoes or Pizza Hut. There's a real effort into the food and not a factory line feel to it. Plus they deliver which is nice when you're home watching two screaming kids. I usually order either the Chicken Parmigiana sandwhich, a Calzone, and/or Lasagna. Before I talk about each, I'll comment in saying that I feel the prices are just a tad too high for what you get. But then, isn't true at most places these days? The Chicken Parmigiana sandwhich I like though it feels very much like it was taken from a deep freezer and thawed with cheese on it. I've had it where there's been absolutely NO sauce on it at all. The bread often times is rough to chew through... but the taste is good. I'm sucker for it. The Calzones are decent. I usually do chicken and cheese and it's priced a bit high for the size. Nicolos used to do a large and regular sized Calzone so in getting the larger one you feel like you got what you paid for. Saucys regular size, not so much. I've also found that the sauce they give you on the side has been much too small for the order. A place like "Saucys" you'd think it would be pretty dominate. The Lasagna is rather tasty and my kids like it. The meatballs are good but I'd stay clear of the sausage. For some reason it has a very odd taste and texture. I think the pasta is priced good for what you get. In the past I've also ordered the Chicken Caesar salad and was thoroughly disappointed. The chicken has often times been uncooked (it's cooked at some point, but apparently not reheated or fresh), and flat out frozen before. The lettuce is wilted and in general bad shape. The caesar dressing was mild at best (not much to it). We've also gotten pizza from them before. Unfortunately it's thin, dull, and not very tasty. Again a significant lack of sauce here. Not sure why. The crust is dry and hard (takes some ripping when biting into it). Not exactly what I'd want or expect from a pizza. Bad when Dominoes across the street has better pizza than a "traditional Italian" place. The staff have been rather rude on the phone before, though the delivery people pleasant. So I guess that balances out. I've only had a few times where the order was messed up completely and they've quickly gone back and returned with what I ordered. All in all, I continue to order from here because it's convenient. I'm not entirely pleased with the food, but I accept it for what it is. I'm still trying to find that ultimate classic Italian pizza that I remember back in New York. read more

Got the barbecue chicken pizza it was okay but it's definitely not the standard barbecue practically no barbecue and and only has red peppers on it nothin else... as for the wings they were not good the Taste Is just bad read more

Not sure what's up with the mediocre reviews lately, because I genuinely thought Saucy's pizza was some of the best I've had! We got a Cheeseburger and a Philly Cheesesteak pizza delivered and they were both so amazing! Plenty of toppings and sauce, and delicious crust too. We will definitely order again! read more

First of all, pizza in a greasy paper bag? Come on... A little baffled that people like this pizza - very thick, undercooked crust, skimpy on the cheese, not "saucy" at all. Tasted like a frozen pizza from the grocery store. Pretty bad. We were also charged $1 more than advertised on the menu, which is sneaky and not appreciated. read more

The wings are great. Big and meaty with a really nice flavor. The Cobb and Greek salad were generous portions and very fresh. Mozzarella stick were just ok. Service was friendly and quick. read more

I wish I had taken heed to the bad reviews but as I am not picky when it comes to pizza I figured it was worth a shot and a friend recommended this place. After our pizza had been put in the oven the cook stood near the register drinking a beer and watching the game on tv. Perhaps if he wasn't so busy drinking and checking the score our pizza wouldn't have been so badly undercooked. The top of the crust looked brown and done but since it was a thick pizza the bottom was still doughy. We ordered the kitchen sink pizza and while the toppings were good and fresh the sauce was not impressive and the crust (the part that was cooked) had no taste, even dipping it in their bland marinara sauce did little to add flavor. I ended up just picking at one slice and I don't foresee eating the leftovers we brought home. read more

Had an absolutely terrible experience when I came in to get a chicken Parm sandwich the chicken literally tasted like they're taking it out of the freezer and heating it up lightly adding some sauce on top and calling it a day. I'm so upset I wasted my money when I could have cooked something way better at home for half the price. read more

We ordered 2 medium thin crusts, 1 pepperoni and 1 supreme ("kitchen sink"). The thin crust simply was not thin or crispy. On the supreme, the crust was actually doughy and undercooked. Underneath in the middle, it was actually kind of slimy. This isn't what you'd expect for thin crust. For some reason the pepperoni pizza's crust was more cooked, thankfully. My 5 year old enjoyed it. I personally didn't like how they put the pepperoni under the cheese. A nice surprise was we got delivery and they quoted us 45-60 minutes but it came in 15. The reason for my rating was for the undercooked crust on my supreme. Sorry Saucy's, I hate to give bad ratings but I was disappointed. Threw out the leftovers. read more

We ordered delivery and it was great! Quick delivery on a Sunday evening (and it was even Oscar night). Toppings were fresh, pizza was delicious. We liked the crust, but it as lacking a little bit of flavor (hence the 4 stars vs 5). Overall though great pizza, quick delivery and the gal who took the order was nice and took our order efficiently. We also liked that it was delivered in a bag, on a circular piece of cardboard and not a big pizza box that is just annoying and wasteful. We have our new local pizza place! read more

Excellent service and welcoming staff with a home town/local feel. We ordered the $5 lunch special and were very happy with the flavor and portions of our food. Three people ate lunch for $18.00 plus tip, which is phenomenal to us. Clean, friendly service, and tasty food...would absolutely recommend Saucy's and look forward to coming back! read more

This was a very odd pizza place. The pizza was like cardboard - it was clear it was just a frozen crust. The sauce was subpar and the sausage has no flavor at all. The fettuccini alfredo had almost no flavor and was watery. However, the service was good. We got our food quickly and they were efficient - probably because it was almost empty. The environment was also odd. There was no music playing in the background, just a single TV playing. In my opinion, it was extremely overpriced for what you got. read more

We come here or do take out a least once a month. We love their bucket of spaghetti and sausage to go, a with a large house salad and rolls. The spaghetti is perfectly al dente, the sauce is delicious, as is the sausage. This is a terrific locally owned small business, with great customer service. We feel fortunate that they are just 1/2 mile east of us. read more

Some of the best pizza I've ever had. The cheesesteak and 4 cheese is to die for. I find the pizza to be a bit greasy, but nonetheless still a great catch. They also deliver for free if you're within their area, delivery time is about average as well. read more

Coming from the east coast my expectations are already low. Saucys pizza reminded me of my childhood. This pizza is chuckid cheese pizza for adults. The crust seemed premade. There was hardly any sauce. The warning sign was the price and how fast the turn around time was. I won't be getting saucy as saucys any time soon. read more

This is the best pizza we have found in our area. Salads are big, but not a ton of "good veggies" aka mostly iceberg lettuce. That said, when we want pizza we skip ordering salad and get pizza here. There are usually Valpack coupons available, so mention the deal and you can get something extra like cheese pizza or something. read more

The pizza here is wonderful! It came out hot and you could tell that they use fresh ingredients. The service is great and kid friendly. I have also had their calzones. Horrible absolutely horrible. My wife and I went and ate at the restaurant right when we moved to the area and had the worst experience. It took 30 minutes just for someone to take our order. After that the food was cold and we had to send the wings back. Then we waited another 30 minutes for the fixed wings. Fast forward a few months we decided to try it out again this time with family in town. After waiting 1 and a half hours we called and they told us the pizza was delivered, turns out they delivered it to the wrong address and let the people accept the pizza. Then the pizza wasn't even very good. Needless to say this is the last time I will be ordering from here, and will also let my friends in the neighborhood know not to go here as well. read more

Gross. This pizza is like a weird pretzel texture. I didn't enjoy it at all. The kids loved it, but I'm a NY Pizza guy (yep, from the source) and can even appreciate the Chicago style (not a huge fan though) and this was neither. I think they're trying to invent their own type of crust/dough ... it ain't working. As for the staff, they were friendly and accommodating, but wholly cow there are a lot of them in there for such a small place. I didn't think I would find another pizza on their menu that topped the BBQ Chicken until I took the advice of another yelper and ordered the 4 Cheese and added the Italian home made sausage. I now typically order it once a week cuz it's so good!!! And the delivery service is very fast and free which you can't really find now with all of the online delivery services charging a surcharge. No. Just....no. This place is strange....it's caught between a counter style pizza joint and a sit down restaurant. We got a large pizza with green peppers and onions and it was just okay. It would have been nice if the peppers and onions were cooked a little before they were put on the pizza, they were still very crunchy. The pizza reminded us of cafeteria style food, or the kind of pizza you would get at the airport when you're hungry and there's nothing else. They say the dough is made fresh everyday....but I'm not too sure I believe that. The only good thing we had to say about this place was "well, at least we're not hungry anymore". Would not recommend this to anyone looking for some good pizza. read more

I dig this place. Moved into the neighborhood about 6 months ago and this place was close so tried it right away and loved it. Crust is awesome and they don't skimp on cheese. The flavor stands out. It's just good old fashioned pizza, nothing hipster or goofy but kind of the type of simple pizza with flavor that you remember from your childhood. read more

Great Pizza! The cheese was very gooey, which is what I look for in a pie. I also prefer a softer crust which they have perfected. I would definitely recommend Saucy's Pizza for any get together. We're visiting from out of town and were looking for a place that delivered. It was either Dominoes or Saucy's based on our location. I know what to expect from Dominoes, so I went with this place. Ordered two large pizzas (the Carnivore was particularly good) and received them without incident. The food is better than the current 3.5 star rating they have. Maybe a customer service issue? But the young lady who took my order over the phone was very polite despite it being obviously busy in the background. Would order again. An overall risk that more than paid off. read more

There are many good places to eat, but Saucy's takes the trophy. They have outstanding pizza and the restaurant is small. First the pizza at Saucy's. That is what they are mostly known for. The cheese stays in place not like other places where the cheese is soggy and falling off. Saucy's is not a big restaurant. Saucy's is pretty small, so there is no confusion, because there is not many people there. Saucy's is a awesome restaurant. read more
