A few small issues were pointed out at the end of the inspection. There was zero pressure to get anything done. Alberto simply recommended correcting them at some point. I wish I had followed my gut feelings during the initial visit; now I am having to pay another company to re-do half of the work. I called to have a rain pan installed (that wasn't currently installed) and the termination cap replaced (old, rusted, looked bad). Their salesman comes out, we discuss my two needs, he flies a drone over my house to take a look, and gives me an exorbitant quote. We discuss more, and I begrudgingly accept to do the job for the price offered because I need it done. I provide the deposit for half the amount to get started. He emails me the invoice, and he only has the rain pan listed for the service. I ask him to correct it on the spot. He suddenly gets amnesia, claims we didn't just discuss the two items that we just agreed upon for this huge fee, and that we had only agreed upon the rain pan being installed. I told him to update the invoice with the agreed upon services/items or give me the deposit back. He refuses to give me the deposit back, gets upset, says he's "never going to find a termination cap that fits," says the current one is "just fine," but updates the invoice to reflect what we discussed (I SO WISH I HAD JUST INSISTED ON GETTING THE DEPOSIT BACK OR STOPPED PAYMENT ON THE CHECK, AND JUST PAID THE STUPID FEE FOR THEM TO COME OUT. Would have been money well spent to get rid of them.) He sends a guy out the following week to take measurements for the job. It then takes an eternity for them to return and actually do the job. They keep claiming they can't find a termination cap that will fit. About 1-2 months later, I get an email with one photo of the completed work taken from like 20 feet away (even though the guy is standing on the roof and could have provided close-up shots). I never hear from them again. The following years, every time it rains, I hear rain coming in the chimney (which I had never heard before). I hire another company to come out, clean the chimney, and give me some options on correcting Chimney "Pro" Cleaners work so the rain doesn't come into the chimney (the WHOLE point of a termination cap is stop the rain and other things from coming into the chimney! BIG FAT FAIL!). When the new company comes, they take close-up pictures to show me what's actually up there. Chimney "Pro" Cleaners had purchased a termination cap that was a completely different size, took metal shears and made cuts up the side, forced the cap around the top of the chimney, and drilled screws all the way around to try to make it fit to the shape. I have to pay to replace it again and repair the damage. Awesome. So if you want to waste your money and have to hire another company to repair the repairs, go with these guys.

Nowhere during his visit did he exhibit expertise that warranted a $399 visit "for his time" (his words). After calling and emailing multiple times with absolutely no response, I texted Lance who was, it turns out, the owner, although this had never been conveyed. When we got on the phone, he was in a bad mood, called it an "f-in" (but used the real word) Monday and then proceeded to talk about how awesome he is, how much his time is worth, how many awards he has won, etc. He also said, "You are one of those people who lives in a world where you think the customer is always right, and you have no clue about the real world." He was so rude and disrespectful. My entire call with him was to understand why the invoice was $399. You can tell I'm not the first person to ever question this based on his response. I would NEVER use this company again. His work is overpriced, I'm not convinced he understands fireplaces since he changed batteries in a remote that was clearly working, communication is terrible, and his fees are not clear at all. If you do get him on the phone, be prepared to hear about how awful his day is and then be prepared to be insulted. I'm hoping he takes my $399 and puts it towards anger management classes.

I called and scheduled a chimney sweep and inspection for $169. The arrived when they were to do the sweep and inspection, they were about 30 minutes late showing up but that was ok as the traffic in Buckhead really sucks sometimes. I wasn't at home during the sweep process so I left my girl in charge of making sure they did a good job. After they were finished sweeping and inspecting the chimney they told her that we needed a screen on the smoke stack that they would be happy to provide for an additional $125. We decided against that and I am glad I did. Come the next day after the sweep we are having a party at the house and wanted to fire up the fireplace before the guest arrived to create a nice atmosphere for our guests, so I put in a couple of logs and lit them up. To our dismay the entire house filled with smoke (yes I did have the damper open); the chimney was not drawing the smoke out. This pissed me off since I had given them $169 to make sure the chimney was clean and thought the inspection would have been good enough to make sure something like this didn't happen. The entire house smells awful, even 2 weeks later. I called the following Monday and asked if they could come back out. I later received a call from the guy who cleaned the chimney saying he would be out that day. I went home and waited for him to show up, he called again saying it would be the next day before he could get out there. I waited the next day and he called saying he would not be able to make it out again. He promised to call me the next day when he was on his way out, but the call never came. We will be calling them back out again. Depending on if they show up or if they fix the chimney to work this review might get updated. Until then, 2 stars is way more than fair for this company as you can always buy a groupon deal to have your chimney swept for $99 from another company.

I contacted TE Certified after discovering a concealed hot-water leak beneath the slab of my home. From the very first visit, Isaac stood out because of the thoroughness of his assessment, his knowledge, and the amount of time he took to help me understand what was happening and the different options available to address it. This was a major repair decision for me, and rather than rushing me toward a particular solution, Isaac carefully explained the advantages, disadvantages, uncertainties, and long-term considerations associated with each option. Over the days that followed, I had many questions--and I mean many! Isaac answered every one of them with an incredible amount of patience, professionalism, and detail. He never made me feel as though I was asking too much or taking up too much of his time. When I needed clarification about specific items on the estimates, how the proposed reroute would work, the existing plumbing, freeze concerns, accessibility, restoration, or the potential for future issues, he consistently responded with thoughtful and knowledgeable explanations that helped me make an informed decision. What impressed me just as much was his honesty. When there were things he could not know with absolute certainty until the walls were opened or the existing piping was further evaluated, he said so. I greatly appreciated that. I never felt pressured or given false assurances simply for the sake of making a sale. When I ultimately asked Isaac what he would recommend as the best long-term solution for my particular home, he gave me a clear professional recommendation and thoroughly explained his reasoning. As the routing plan developed, he initially proposed one solution, but when I expressed concern about how it would affect the appearance and countertop area of the kitchen, he listened to my concerns and was completely receptive to exploring an alternative route I suggested. He evaluated it carefully and determined that the new lines could instead be routed behind the refrigerator and stove and through the lower cabinetry to the sink. The result exceeded my expectations. Isaac, with the assistance of Reeves, completed the work with tremendous care and attention to detail. The new lines were insulated, neatly routed and securely installed, and the workmanship throughout was exceptionally clean and organized. They protected the surrounding areas while working, treated the home with care, and left the kitchen looking virtually unchanged despite the extent of the plumbing work that had been completed. You would never know from looking at the finished kitchen that such a significant reroute had taken place. Most importantly, after the new lines were installed and the water was restored, Isaac checked the water meter to verify the result. The meter was no longer moving. After dealing with the stress of a concealed leak and having to keep the hot water shut off, seeing that meter remain still--and knowing the leak had finally been resolved--was an enormous relief. Another thing I greatly respect is that the project remained at the best-case estimate I had authorized: $2,915. There were opportunities throughout this process for the scope or cost to increase, but Isaac remained transparent about the work that was actually necessary and completed the agreed-upon repair accordingly. There is a difference between someone who simply knows how to perform a trade and someone who combines technical expertise with integrity, communication, patience, problem-solving, respect for the homeowner, and genuine pride in his work. In my experience, Isaac demonstrated all of those qualities. I also want to recognize Reeves for his assistance in completing the work so carefully and efficiently. Together, they did an immaculate job. The price I was quoted was over 12k. I felt the electrician on my job, Jason S. was very high pressure in his tactics and told me I needed to decide that day, or lose potential discounts. I had also been without a kitchen for over 30 days, so I agreed to the work. The next day Jason and an apprentice come out to start the job. They take one whole day to remove and replace the new panel, no problem. Here is where it goes downhill. On the second day of work, Jason and another apprentice came out and instead of prioritizing the circuit I hired him for, they start installing the hardwired smoke detectors Dekalb county allegedly requires. This took all day! By about 4 pm, I asked if he was going to get the outlet done so I could use my dishwasher and he replied "I guess if I stay here all night". I said I guess thats what you got to do then, and they were here til nearly 8 pm. Then he made several other unprofessional comments about staying late. Jason never came back to my job. A new Electrician came out on Monday, Jason said he had an emergency job. The part where they earned this rating comes when I found out my pool motor circuit was not working on the new GFCI circuit. I explained to them it originally was on a two pole circuit and now they had it on two single poles. It was drawing 240v and they had the model number and should have researched the wiring on their own as professionals. Rather than listen to me, I had to wait all day for the new electrician (with Jason on the phone) come up with a new quote to fix which included trenching up and re-wiring my entire pool, ANOTHER 5 THOUSAND DOLLARS! I was livid. I started looking into this and it turns out I was right, it just needed a 2 pole GFCI. I talked to the second electrician the next day and told him I want to talk to a supervisor or manager. I got a call later in the day from Jeffrey who was going to look into it and get back to me the same day. He did not. He did call me the next morning and agreed to send one of his best guys out to install a 2 pole and see if that solves the problem. Well guess what, it did! And, I didn't have to pay another 5K. I expected to hear back from Jeffrey again to ensure the job was to my satisfaction as you should on a service recovery. I did not. I feel lied to, and that I was robbed and almost taken needlessly for thousands more, had I not done my research which should not be necessary as a layperson. I understand from TE employees the Electricians control the cost, and they get a commission from it. Unfortunately, I paid for an electricians summer vacation because I trusted him.
