I was thinking about visiting the Bonaventure Cemetery for its history and unique landscape, and when an employee at the Savannah Visitor Center and my tour guide from a candlelit history and ghosts walking tour both called out Dash Tours as the best, then I looked into how to squeeze it in my trip. Tim, the owner, prefers you text him versus call and leave messages, and I can attest that process was efficient and effective! He had an opening on a day that I could make work with my itinerary, so it worked out. He picks up the guests at their hotel or at a mutually agreed upon location that is still convenient. We started with a walking tour of the "old cemetery" and he gave us the history behind some of the notable graves and monuments, as well as the landscape. Afterward, he drove us through the "new cemetery" and pointed out some of those highlights. He answered our questions along the way and dropped us off where we wanted to go after the tour. Tim is great, and the Bonaventure tour was well worth my time and money!

I highly recommend this tour with Timothy. He picks you up and drops you back. Provides water. And the best thing is all the amazing history of Savannah this man has stored in his head and you can tell he truly enjoys sharing it with everyone. My daughter and I loved our day spent with him at Bonaventure listening to all the stories.

I purposely did not want to tell about all the pictures as Tim our tour guide is an amazing tour guide and everyone should have the ability to take his tours and enjoy his thought-provoking, in depth and well thought out description of history. We knew from previous friends who visited Savannah that we should visit he bought a Bonaventure cemetery. We did some research online and decided to choose Tim because he was a fourth generation Savannah. Tim picked us up in his van at our hotel. As Tim picked up the other parties he told us about the different history as we were driving through downtown historic Savannah. Upon arriving at Bonaventure cemetery Tim told us how the two would go and how he would drive us around a little bit then we would do a walking tour and then we would conclude with a final drive around the cemetery. The tour was about an hour and a half but total 2 hours with the pickup and drop off at our respective hotels or location that we wanted to be dropped off at. Tim is one of the few tour guides set First of all I was born and raised here and second of all told us the history and not embellishment of things. I would definitely recommend him if you want to see Bonaventure cemetery.

We enjoyed the included transportation and smaller tour group size offered by Bonaventure Dash Tours.

If you're ever in Savannah, take a Bonaventure Dash Tour with owner and tour guide Tim. The smaller group size enables conversations that explore history rather than straining to hear a guide over crowds of 20 or 30. Tim is a sixth-generation Savannah native who shares true history as opposed to folklore. He knows his stuff and makes the stories of Savannah's past come alive. We highly recommend this tour.

Thank you Timothy, Respectful , honest. Highly recommend his guide tour.

They run about every 15-20 minutes and if you stay on for the entire ride, it's about a 90 min tour. Joey was our first guide and he was so awesome that we decided to stay on 2/3 of the way through (we only got off for a "pit stop".) He was hilarious and had dad jokes for days. We really enjoyed him. They also gave us some good info...if you're interested in the squares, sit on the left, churches on the right. Every seat near the window was excellent for taking photos. I'm glad I brought an external battery, I was taking so many pictures! There is no AC but they did give us fans! And there are a lot of good coupons included in their handouts. At the last minute, we scheduled Sistah Patt's Tour, and honestly this is by far the BEST ONE, and we did several here and in Charleston, while visiting from California. I wish I had done a little research on her, as I did after leaving her tour...oh my, I probably would have asked so many more questions, I had no idea of the advocate she is. They incorporated material from guests on the bus and peppered laughs throughout the tour. It was irreverent, a little raunchy in just the right way to make you blush. A quick heads-up: the humor does get a little risqué at times, so it's definitely not for the faint of heart! The highlight (or should I say lowlight for my husband's dignity) was when he received an unforgettable "lap dance"--or more accurately, a face dance. I've never seen his face turn quite that shade of red or heard him laugh so hard. It was priceless. With that being said, upon researching the area, Dan's tour came up as almost unanimously the best thing to do in Savannah. To say we learnt a lot and had a great time would be an understatement, Dan gave us a broad overview of many elements of Savannah's rich and diverse history. We were visiting from Florida, so we knew it would be hot, but as it was a very shaded route with plenty of stops it was not an issue. As Dan advices on the website, pack water, and sunscreen. The walk itself is very dog friendly and at a leisurely pace suited to all levels of fitness. Finding dog friendly activities is always high on our list, and plus the wealth of knowledge and passion Dan has it was a no brainer! Due to the heat, some other guests had to reschedule their time, so we were lucky enough to have a private tour, which probably would be worth an additional star on its own! Dan as a host was witty, engaging and brought Savannah to life. We have already recommended Savannah Dan to multiple people and will continue to moving forward.
