Loved my experience here! I rented an E-bike for a day and the staff was SO kind and patient as I asked a million questions and took forever to pick out the exact bike I wanted to ride that day. The owner even assembled a new E-bike that I had expressed interest in buying and insisted I take it for a test spin. Of course I loved it, but it's just not in my budget right now. We did a walk in with a group and felt that the woman helping us was a little bit short..she could've been a little friendlier. We got overcharged for an extra bicycle, which Mike helped us with when we got back no biggie. Bikes worked great and they are in a perfect location for riding around savannah. Happened upon this place on walk through Forsyth and so happy we rented bikes from here! The staff are absolutely wonderful! Before leaving for the day, they made sure the bikes were set up properly, we knew how to operate the lock and gave us a map that had an optional route already mapped out. All the bikes were in great condition, trendy and were comfortable. They offered different styles for your type of biking (women's bikes, men's bikes and bikes where kids can ride too). Great place! I went to Savannah on Wheels this morning at 915a 05/07/2022 for a $50 dollar tune-up in which I told the the guy if anything else needed to notify me before doing it. He said ok. 4 hours later they said the bike was ready and I ask was there any extra. The caller said no just $50 for the tune-up. I go there to pick my bike up at 430p and another guy and female is their and they give this bullshit story about having to replace the high gear and that a part on my bike need to be replaced because it's outdated and the price is now $75 dollars. I didn't even argue with them because I figured they must need the money to blatantly lie and up charge me. The worst part is when I get home to test my bike out the gears are not even tuned correctly and I have to click the handlebar switches twice to get the chain to change to the next gear. Never again will i go there. Wasted $75 and my personal time on a Saturday, plus the money i am going to spend to get my bike correctly tuned by a professional bike shop‼ read more

I can't imagine better service from a bike rental shop. First off, the lady helping us was super nice. All of the bikes she showed us look brand new. There were bikes for all types of riders. We chose what she recommended and they were perfect for our styles-intermediate riders. Locks, helmets, bags, and baskets were all included in the reasonable price. She also sat down with us and highlighted a route on a map that we should take- including some sights we should look out for. This was a lifesaver. We literally toured the entire historic downtown in about 6 hours (including stops for meals, ice cream, random photo ops, etc) and we didn't feel like we missed anything. I can't overstate how vital that map was to our experience of downtown. If we ever head back to Savannah, we will be coming back here. BTW, first time touring a city on a bike, and I must say, it's the best way to explore. Compared to walking, its still great exercise, the wind keeps you much cooler, easy on your joints/feet, and you can check out so much more. read more

This place was great we had a 6 person party and I called ahead to see if they had plenty of bikes. When I told the guy 6 people he told me he could give us the 6th bike for free. When we got there two (a man and woman) greeted us and showed us the selection. My friend and I showed interest in the electric bikes and they gave us a few bucks off to upgrade to them. (Best money ever spent) although my buddies bike went dead 3/4 the way through the tour. No worries. They were great easy to deal with, they split up payments multiple different ways and gave us any discounts they could. The bike shop closed at 6 but we didn't get the bikes until 230 so they told us it would be OK to be late just have them back by 7ish. Now that's service. Highly recommend this place. read more

We weren't sure if we wanted to bike since it was first week of college and saw how busy the streets were. But we are so happy that we did. They might seem a little pricey but let me tell you the bikes are worth it and they provide you with helmet and locks. We did half a day tour and we couldn't be happier with the decision. The staff was really helpful as well. We followed the trail they gave us and we saw all the squares!! Thank you guys for the wonderful riding tips and great customer service. We loved the bikes! Husband and I both had beach cruisers and we both got a lot of compliments on how awesome our bikes were. The employees gave us a map of downtown Savannah and places they liked to go for coffee and lunch. We rented the bikes for 8 hours and that was the perfect amount of time to bike around to all of the squares and go shopping at city market and the river walk. It was the perfect way to see Savannah! They offer delivery, but we drove in from South Carolina so we parked at their shop which is the perfect starting point, right next to Forsyth Park. They even put on cup holders for us and gave us a lock and bungee cord to attach to the back of our bike. Highly recommend!! read more

The historical bike tour was great and the cruiser I rented was perfect. I am giving 2 stars solely based on customer service during the reservation process. This location is only open 11-4 on Sunday's and Mondays and we had to pay the full day rate of $15/bike to use the bikes after our guided tour ended at 2pm and costed $25/person. My card was also charged without my approval of having to pay the full day price. I was disappointed with the level of service by the employees. read more

A bike tour plus rental for the entire day was only $40/person, which I highly recommend. Coming from a tourist town, when a bike rental business tells me riding a bike through the city is the way to go I'm usually skeptical, but they weren't wrong. My wife and I started with the bike tour through Savannah and finished the day riding around the city ourselves. Our tour guide, Keith, was a wealth of knowledge when it came to the history of Savannah and the architecture. If you decide to rent bikes for the day take note of the places you might want to return to once your tour is over. We found ourselves stopping in a few places we passed along the tour for extra pictures, beverages, and a bite to eat. All in all was a great tour and great way to spend the day site seeing. read more

Just took the tour with Dalton. It was tremendous. He explained an incredible amount of history and shared stories. There were five of us and the pace was just right. Most of the discussion was while stopped, but even when Dalton was speaking while riding, we could hear him clearly. Wanted to ride a bike through Savannah and this place was close by. Great service. Got an electric bike for 4 hours for great price. He put a basket on for me, provided a helmet and a bike lock. Savannah On Wheels had a great selection of rental bikes that appeared to be very well taken care of. I did not reserve anything in advance. We walked in, were promptly greeted, and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. She asked us each a few questions and based on our answers, she quickly readied three different bikes with varying accessories to meet our needs. She even stayed with us and made sure that each of us felt comfortable and safe on our bikes which I really appreciated. She also provided us with the infamous "Savannah On Wheels" customized map for optimal biking in the area. I put her on the spot and asked her to recommend some local NON-"touristy" places to eat, one of which we tried, and her suggestion was genuine and spot on; hands down, the best dining experience and meal of the trip. Seriously, thank you so much for the services that you provide. I have been to Savannah many times, but this last trip just felt particularly special. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, the biking was effortless (mine had gears), and I didn't have to worry about parking or ubering or traffic. We spent the week in Savannah on our honeymoon. Savannah on Wheels was super nice and helpful! They are very knowledgeable about what type and size of bike works best for you. Lots of variety and our bikes were safe and new. I was wearing a sun dress and she suggested a cruiser that was easier to get off and on like a lady with my dress. I rented 1 regular bike earlier this summer for about 5 hours. It was a quick, easy process and customer service was super friendly. They have some cool motorized bikes that will scoot you around minus the effort. That might be a good option if you're really out of shape, have a broken foot, or just want to zip around for fun. Otherwise, I'd bet most people would be perfectly satisfied with a regular bike, which was the case for me. Your bike rental comes with helmet, lock, and basket. I recall that the rental price at this place is slightly higher than its nearby competitor, but only by a few dollars. Overall, it was a good value and I would definitely recommend it. read more

I was having problems with the rear tire on my bike going flat all the time. I took my bike to the competitor on Chippewa Square 3 times in as many months, Each time, the tire was flat again before I even pedaled home. That--combined with their crappy attitude--made me give this place a try. Not only was my tire fixed properly the first time, but he found the reason for it going flat and fixed that. He even fixed my brake--and all this was cheaper than the guy down the street. I work in a hotel and I now send anyone looking for a bike rental to this place. Im not sure where to start. Savannah on Wheels has a great selection of bikes to choose from. I ended up getting a folding bike for easy storing(I live in NYC) and I love it. Bike was shipped, arrived in excellent condition(well packaged), and rides like a charm. I will most definitely purchase again when the time comes. Dave was very friendly and accommodating. If you're looking for a set of wheels, make no mistake and go here and get amazing service, with a variety of bikes to choose from. FYI: I purchased a Paratrooper from this location. 5 stars is an understatement.
