I had a flat tire and had them tow it from Bart Station to America's Tire. While going through the Bart garage we heard a thud. When we got to America's tire we found out that he hit the top of t my car against the garage opening. The driver was new and took responsibility (good kid). I gave him the estimate of the place he asked me to take it to. Even though I took it to his car shop (right next to his shop), the manager low balled an offer to fix my car and not report it to AAA and insurance, I said no I just want my car fixed. He raised his price a bit and wanted me to ensure I don't report it. It didn't sound ethical so I said no. He called me a couple of days later and said he spoke with the owner and they decided to send it to their insurance company. At the end my car was fixed along with rental fees. Unprofessional and unethical. Reported them to AAA. read more

The driver arrived well ahead of schedule. He was professional and courteous. He paid attention and used caution around my vehicle, being careful not to dent or scratch it. I was in a car accident, I needed to have my car towed. Save tow came and towed my car through AAA. Nobody mentioned any prices for a tow, I called a week later and they told me I was on the hook for 1200 dollars. I shouldn't have to pay for something after their driver lied to me and didn't disclose the fees. After a bit of back and forth I finally got them down to $220. I told him I don't have the money because I lost my job due to the coronavirus. I tried to resolve the issue but the regional manager was quite rude and basically told me he's loosing money and if I didn't pay the $220 that he would charge me the whole $1200. I had an incident with my BMW where the alternator failed at an intersection at Norris Canyon Road at Camino Ramon in San Ramon. Nice young woman from Daphne's Greek Restaurant saw me and parked her car to help me push my car into a nearby parking lot. WOW! This from a woman not knowing me from Adam. Thanks, you are an angel! I called AAA for a tow who then requested Save Tow aka San Ramon Tow to come out and tow my vehicle to a reputable shop. Meanwhile, waiting for the truck, I called a few local BMW shops to price out the cost of an alternator including installation. One said they could do it by Friday for good price and the other never called back with an estimate. I called San Ramon Tow to find out when the truck would show and ended up speaking to George. I explained the problem and he said the San Ramon Tow repair shop could procure the alternator and install it the same day also at a good price. So, car was towed back to the tow yard shop near my place of employment. Wow! Double blessed...well, if you can consider a vehicle breakdown a blessing. I do because the alternator could have failed elsewhere in a much less convenient location. George is a great guy and seemed knowledgeable about BMW's and some of the maladies that plague them. He even opted to upgrade the alternator to 140 amp from the 80 amp and said that I could return later with a new alternator belt and that his shop would install it at no additional cost. He showed me the new Bosch alternator box and the old one he threw into it and even told me the price he paid which if I'd purchased online and taken three days to deliver and cost the same. My car wouldn't start so I called AAA and they sent someone who came and jumped it for me without running any tests. He said I probably left my lights on, which I knew I didn't and the battery was only 6 months old. 2 Days later, the same thing happened. This time, AAA sent SaveTow and Byron arrived prompt and prepared. When I told him what had happened, he immediately took out all the tools and did a comprehensive battery test for me. He confirmed that the battery was in good shape but noticed that one of the clamps was loose. He tightened it for me and sure enough, 3 weeks later, my car is working just fine. AAA basically screwed me by cancelling my service call last night as they said only two trucks could carry my car and they were broken. This was after waiting over 5 hours. So, this morning I call around and Save Tow has the two but while one was broken I was told the second doesn't get dispatched after 5:30pm. Extremely upset with AAA and their bogus tales. I called Save Tow directly - Steve rocks, came out, got my car that is very low to the ground partially do to a blown air suspension strut, and loaded it quickly, efficiently, and towed it to my go to shop. They finally came out after 3 hours said I can't tow your car. I've been a member since 1992. When I got my bronco it had so many problems and save tow has been there every step of the way with the repairs! When I take my car in to them I know I will be leaving my car in good hands. They call you whenever something changes and let you know the steps they will take to get it fixed, so you never feel blindsided when go to pick your car up and have an unexpected bill. This time she told me that when they get a AAA call they cancel your tow appointment and go to that tow request. Called AAA to tow my classic car to Transmission shop they sent North Main who refused to tow because i did not have my tag on it as i had just replaced rear bumper and some body work and pushed it out of garage. My daughter put a call into AAA for roadside assistance and they had her waiting with her 3 month old baby for over 3 hours. Luckily Brian from Save Tow came to her rescue. Gus the tow truck driver is the nicest guy you could ever meet. He towed me down to the exit and put my new tire on. AA said they would come out in 55 mins. Gus was there in 10! Driver Gus was a great person and very apologetic for dragging me around town (55 mins wasted) on multiple tows because the dispatch lady sending him. My time is valuable and not something I like wasted. It was out of his control but he picked me up and dragged me to Livermore to get a car that wasn't even there. We waited 15 mins and then he cleared that call. Not even minutes later did he get another call trying to drag me out to another call. I was not happy. He made the decision to not take that call and take me to my destination instead. He was very kind and embarrassed by the way the dispatch was making his job difficult. Called AAA for a tow for my daughters car and Byron was great he was very friendly and took her car to the repair shop and all is well.

I created a Yelp just to give this worthless company a bad review and show how "on the fly businesses(Livermore)treat their customers" I give credit to the guy who actually towed my vehicle. He was very helpful with information regarding the tow. It was towed on New Years Day. I called the front office the day before I picked up on the first day to check pricing and it clearly was stated that my vehicle arrived around 4pm and that everyday after 4pm I would be charged a fee for each additional day. I wouldn't be able to get to the tow yard the first day for certain reasons. When I arrived to the office on the second day the ladies in the front office which honestly had no clue as to what was going on told me something completely different. The First Lady tried to tell me that they were charging 3 days. I asked her how when I clearly just talked to someone and it's only been 2 days in all actuality and she confirmed exactly what I would be charged. She tried but really couldn't explain. Then another lady comes into the conversation from a distance to say "After 4 hours of the vehicle being towed, we go by calendar days, After the first 24 hrs" I'm thinking to myself what in the actual fuck kind of random thing just came out the top of her head and you can see it in my face. Remind you, I'm rushing cause I just got off and I need to go pick my kid up from practice. So I asked her to explain or show me this in writing/policy. She gave me a whatever nod, rolled her eyes and got back with the next customer as if she was saying in her head you're going to pay this amount regardless. So to keep confusion and frustrations down, I told the first woman to go ahead and charge me, I took a card and told myself I will be contacting this office with a much needed answer as to why there is no clear policy and why the employees gave me one answer over phone and two different answers in person. read more

I had a dead battery and I called up AAA for getting my car towed to the service center. They provided an option for getting the battery installed by one of their technician. It took a little more time than what they estimated but the service was really good. He took a look at my car, tested the battery and confirmed that the battery is dead and will need to replaced. The quotes were competitive and not overcharged which I was really happy about. I also needed to get my horn fixed since it did not work. He tried to help out but there was some other issue which was out of his reach.
