This is our go-to for making donations in the area. For some reason, Goodwill which is more well known, has really weird hours for donation drop-offs that's not the same as their store hours. We went to Goodwill the other day to drop off a bunch of new clothes and was told by the front staff to drop it around the back. We unloaded in the back and was waiting for the staff to come around, when after a while, a voice from inside the back door said they are closed. Super annoying. Savers seems to have much better customer service and accept donations during the hours they are open. Appreciate the friendly staff and good hours. read more

I read the review of the student who asked nicely for her text book back- and yes I agree with her- FUCK Savers I won't donate to them anymore either. Seriously, she made a mistake dropping off a text book with her name in it. I've been a student - being asked for $59 to get her book back when she did something nice and donated is just unacceptable. read more

I shop at alotta different savers stores at least 4-5 of them I live near the Arcadia store and like to rake drive to the Lomita store. 10-14 years of like Savers store for sure. Wanted tonsay Lomita store in last 2 years especially, even though store is organized and lots to shop for in every department and clean and fun to look for stuff. I am noticing front register employees most of them have a agitated attitute and not very patient, mainly the girlsand women. Its not all of them but its most of them. The guys seem to be more patient. Ive been there diffeeent days and different times of the day and its been the same. I know its hard to work with the public as customers like to give staff hard times sometimes but overall there could be some better patience and help for the ladies. Huge store with a variety of items! Sections: furniture, books, toys, shoes, clothes (men, women, and children), kitchen, bed and bath, and an area with little trinkets. I was a little overwhelmed but I'm glad there's a great selection. I bought this stylish pink jacket for $20 and a lot of men's oversized shirts ($4-$6) to use as pajamas. The quality was excellent (looked like it wasn't even used) at an affordable price. You can donate items at the side of the store outside. You pull up and place them in large bins and the workers are in charge of the rest. Also, plenty of free parking. Will be going back. Can't wait to see what I find next. read more

I can't believe that I've never been inside of this store. It is so organized, air conditioned, clean, and filled with so many great items. The staff is constantly stocking the shelves, and the items are fairly priced. I love getting the children's books from here. They're $1.29 each and when you buy 5, you get the 5th one free. The staff really hand-picks items to sell that are in great condition. You are sure to find a variety of items. I am so impressed, that I might shop here forever, instead of Target. This used to be a store I'd visit with my family when younger and with my small allowance, it seemed a bit too expensive for me, now with my "big kid" job it's still a bit too pricey for my taste in thrift stores. I really want to support this store and continue donating my unwanted belongings however, this place has gotten out of hand. Its prices are ridiculous! They have the same prices you find at the mall, actually sale mall prices would get you a better deal. The name just doesn't fit anymore since you're not actually saving...The reason I gave it a star is due to their cleanliness that they still manage but this store's prices keep convincing me to not return whenever I go. I use to love shopping here. Its down the street and prices were reasonable and the environment was inviting..... I don't know what happened..... prices have been overpriced on clothing and electronics. items should be better matched. People come to thrift stores because they're on a budget, broke, or some come for the collectibles, either way , shirts should not be priced as if they are being sold as new only on sale. These are donated items, Free items. I understand they need to make a profit to pay for the employees but charging 10-13$ on a shirt is how they'll loose customers. Bring back the prices from before COVID. If something doesn't have a tag, don't over price it just because you need to guess what's the worth. That is all. read more

So every time I come to this area, I stop by . They are usually close, what is up with the 11 am. I think your losing customers. Please reconsider opening up at 9 am or their schools in the area and many moms go for a walk and I'm sure they would love to come by and spend some money after they drop off their kids from school. 11 o'clock is way too late to open up. Other than that the staff is very helpful and it's as tidy as a thrift store can be. Lots of great selections. And a great place to donate. Whomever has been recently put in charge of pricing recently needs to find a different job. I could DEFINITELY find stuff for cheaper on ebay. Video games should be all same price just like EVERY other thrift store. You are out of your mind for being a thrift store and not knowing how to charge. For example, Elder Scrolls Anthology for PC a couple of weeks ago was priced at Savers for $99.99. Just do a quick search on eBay and you can get it for roughly $60. A 90's Furby still in box (sure its a rare item), was priced at $99.99 as well when again on eBay you can get one for about $30. If you plan on coming here to flip items, save yourself the time and go somewhere else. If you truly want to buy items for yourself, do a quick search online and I am almost certain you can get it cheaper somewhere else. If you only want to go there for clothing there sure I guess I would say go for it. Otherwise, I wont recommend it. All of the tech items or collectibles, the workers have no clue what it is and price way incorrectly. Like I said, just do a little bit of research before throwing your money away to this place. I used to love coming here, but recently the people in charge of pricing have been seriously out of their minds. P.S. This does not pertain to Willy. That guy is cool. They were able to take all my donations and helped me unload my car. Goodwill has become very choosy in terms of what they accept and will definitely not help you unpack your car. Associates were very polite and helpful even on a sweltering day. read more

Well organized, clean and friendly. They have a good amount of stuff to peruse. Nothing crazy good or bad. Consistently checking it out will likely pay off. I am disappointed that they no longer have a dressing room to try thing on AND they don't do any kind of returns. Just exchange at time of. They wont even let you get store credit. This makes me not want to buy any clothing from them. Their prices are pretty good. I found some lace Toms shoes for $6.99 and a nice thermal water bottle for $5.99. They have a lot of baseball caps but no fun hats. Their selection of jewelry is small and a little over priced IMO. The staff are very nice and they have taken COVID seriously. read more

Visited this store on 6-13-24 and upon walking into the store I decided to use the restroom before I started to shop. I noticed they had a sign still up from over 2 months ago from when I was there. My husband asks the manager to let me use the restroom due to a disability and she said no. She came up with a story that the bathrooms are not working due to old clogged up pipes they need repairs. My husband asked what do you guys do if you have to go to the restroom? She said they go to McDonalds or the cleaners next door. Clearly that was a lie because the restroom door said employees only. She did not even apologize for the inconvenience. My thing is she must have forgot what the door says and not only that why would you not have a working restroom for such a long time. When I got to the front, I asked her again and she said I would have to go elsewhere. I told her you should call corporate because this can become a problem for someone that is really sick or needs to go to the restroom. I'm sure these employees are using that restroom just think if they have to leave the store in and out all day throughout their shift you know that is no way happening after 2 months. I love this place for their book selections. They have many very good condition books of all categories. I really wish their prices were better, though. If all the books were $1-$2 like at some thrift stores, I would buy so many more at one time, but some of the books are $3.99 or $4.99, so I find myself limiting how many books I buy. I drove by and saw this store while on my way elsewhere, so I drove back after I was done there. I love all the banners overhead in the parking lot, kind of like what you'd see at a Car Dealership, lol! Anyways, they do draw attention! The donation area is on the side of the building, right off the Lomita Blvd side. I haven't made a donation, but it is clearly marked! According to the Savers website, you get up to a 30% discount every time you donate. The store is pretty large with lots of room for their goods. They sell a varied assortment of items. You can find books, videos, toys, kitchen items (even old Tupperware), clothing, etc. If you're willing to search, you'll probably be able to find something suitable... or close to it. And, if not today, maybe next time. They bring out newly donated items out frequently. I was there maybe 30 minutes and they announced twice that they were bringing out things. Unlike Goodwill, it seemed that the prices varied depending on brands & condition. There weren't very many people shopping when I was there today. However, when I went to the line to pay, the cashier was wandering around. He saw me and came to ring me up. I told the cashier that I wasn't sure of the size I needed, and he said I could return the item(s) withing 7 days if I had the receipt and the original tags were attached. Good to know. There is a Super Savers Club Card. I went to the website, but it doesn't seem to be working right now. You are supposed to sign up online, print out the confirmation email, bring it to the store to receive your card. I really like the fact that this company will pass on their donations to other causes, if they aren't sold in the stores. This is from their website... "AROUND THE GLOBE ... The majority of items that don't sell are shipped to developing nations through both wholesale and philanthropic efforts. Individuals in developing countries can then create their own marketplaces that service citizens who rely on affordable, quality merchandise." I like the values of this store. I'm not so sure if I feel the same about Goodwill & Salvation Army, but I will still shop at them and make donations. If you are looking for yet another Thrift Store, try this one out! read more

Another great thrift store! It almost has everything your looking for, although there were times I wouldn't find what I was looking for and while I lived closer to the La Mirada location, find most of it there. Again, can be hit and miss at times, but still worth coming to browse. I've found some cute tops here, good pairs of workout pants (Gap/Reebok), a LA Kings tee (woo hoo!!) and endless shoes that saturate my closet & piss off my husband ("More shoes?, @#%!!!"), but they are so dang cute! They also have decent home stuff, all kinds of items wrapped up in baggies, labeled, knick knacks and large area of books/etc. Clean restrooms and decent dressing rooms which are never a madhouse like the La Mirada location. Donation is on the side of it and has quite a few marked parking for those donating as well. Customer service has always been good and they are so organized, they have a line just like Ross does and there's no cutzies here. Same as the dressing room situation, very organized and you get in and out. Parking is in a huge parking lot and access getting to it and out of it aren't a problem, considering the busy intersection that it's located in. Prices do vary, some overpriced stuff, others a deal and there are times it gets ransacked because everybody knows when to hit the sales and get there early to jump on those items we all want. Although I do miss the items I would normally find an abundance of at the La Mirada location, it wont' stop me from coming here to browse because I can't help it damn it, I'm a woman :) read more

I was on the hunt for low cost baby clothes, because why pay full price? I compared kid consignment shops with Savers and decided to take a trip out to Lomita to check it out. The local Long Beach goodwill has a disappointing kids section with mostly garbage. With the vast size, there was bound to be a decent selection right? I was not disappointed. Wow. This thrift store is huge and immaculately organized. Girls newborn tops, bottoms, 3-6 month tops and bottoms, infant toys, bigger kid toys. The categories and sub categories throughout the store was endless. Not to mention, the book section was huge and only $1.29 a piece?? I picked up 3 t-shirts, 1 pair of shorts, and pajama bottoms for $11. I was super impressed with how clean and organized the store was. Wish I knew about the maternity wear section while I was pregnant. Frugal and eco-friendly. I'll definitely be back here again! read more

Here's a brief update to my debacle from the weekend. I'm kinda upset I have to drive down to Savers again today, but atleast the manager Melissa was helpful over the phone. I spoke to her for less than 5 minutes and she was understanding. She did let me know it's not their fault that they get dupes (which I understand), so it's pretty much shop at your own risk. I told her I simply wanted my $9.03 back and allow this to be done. She let me know she'd make an exception, but from here on out here are the policies. All in all, I think the outcome is fair. It's fair that I'm getting a refund, and the manager listened to me and understood why I was upset. What's not fair was how Danny couldn't help me in the first place. It was only $9. It's also not fair that I have to take the time out my work day to go get my chump change back. Definitely a lesson learned from this experience. As I said above, shop with caution. Don't get TOO excited over designer finds. Do your research! Authenticate, google the hell out of it, authenticate again, then buy ! read more

And another thing: their stuff is really overused and in bad shape... I know it's a thrift store but gosh some of those clothes/ houseware are way overused . It's been a while since I first reviewed this place and I can't believe I only gave it three stars. Savers has quickly become my go-to thrift store. It's honestly the only one I go to now because I've gotten so spoiled by all the clothing being organized by size and style (haha). I've found really nice Columbia jackets, designer shoes, brand new purses, and cute trinkets here. Big thanks to Angie for always being super sweet and greeting me whenever I come in. I mentioned one time that I was looking for Disney pins, watches, or buttons and she always keeps an eye out for those things for me. She's so helpful. A couple other reasons why I love Savers: - They now have a rewards program, so once you spend a certain amount, you get a reward! - If you sign up for their e-mails, they tell you about sale days that range from 15% - 50% off! - If you donate items here, they give you a stamp card for a discount off your next purchase! - They have a lot of dressing rooms so you don't have to wait forever to try things on Can't wait to come back and find some more treasures. read more

Great place to find nice antiques, nicknacks, decor, and household goods. I'm a pretty avid Thrifter and this place is pretty high on my list of favorite places. I always find way more cool things here then most places. Pricing is pretty good, although the "special stuff" in the glass cases are a little overpriced for what they are. I love how organized and well displayed the items are here. It makes treasure hunting so much easier especially when you're on the hunt for something specific! Large lot in front with plenty of parking. I love the bags of random knick knacks on the wall too, found some fun items in these. I appreciate they offer a rewards program, not many thrift stores do. Unfortunately their prices have gone up so much in just the last few months. I pulled a few men's t-shirts on my visit over the weekend and was shocked they were asking for $7.49/each. At that price I might as well buy new. I was also pretty taken aback by how much they were asking for electronics in the display case. Really off base and way overvalued. I understand they probably have a catch all price for some of these goods but I feel they could be do a bit more research on what these items should be priced at. Even on a sale day like Veteran's Day coming up, the pricing is super ambitious. I do really enjoy coming to Saver's, but I hope they take time to evaluate their pricing. read more

I donated items and decided to look around. I found 8 items each reasonably priced. I didn't like that there were no dressing rooms and only exchanges (no refund or store credit). You must exchange it for other items. I decided to take a chance and fortunately, all items fit me. I will return soon. read more

This place is ridiculous my daughter seen a bag there she really wanted when I looked at the price it was $150 for a damaged bag that they got for free that's insane. I given so much stuff to this place thinking someone who needs it will be able to afford it now I see all they care about is money. Don't waste your money in this store.
