Our family uses this location to donate toys, clothes, shoes, furniture and basically anything that one can buy and doesn't get used. There is a makeshift drive by station with large bins for the donation items and they always have attendants this way if you have heavy items you can get some help unloading. Attendants are friendly. I've never shopped inside the actual store but totally recommend this place for hassle free donations! read more

What an incredible place! Huge parking lot on site. Well organized! Clean! The staff are all very friendly. There was a "greeter" who asked us if we wanted a shopping cart ( these carts are all sanitized). Tons of housewares, art pieces. We didn't spend any time in the clothing area, but rather spent more time on housewares. Clean restrooms too! At the check out, one has the option to pay cash or Self Check Out with a credit card. On Friday May 3rd I donated approx 15-18 bags of clothing and toys. I had bought a storage unit and spent 4 days sorting the items. I put the items in strong plastic trash bags and a couple of suitcases. All the women's and kids clothes and toys I put in approx 15 of the bags and I used approx 3 bags for stuff I was going to sell. In the 3 bags was good stuff worth quite a bit of money. Unfortunately I mixed them up and donated the 3 bags along with the others. Realizing my mistake I went the next day and explained what happened. I filled out a form and the manager said he would inform me when they were found. 3 days later I went back and gave the manager a printed list of the items. He said they had not turned up. Today is Friday May 10, one week from my mistake and still no word. As a FOR PROFIT thrift store (they charge sales tax) they have to return mistaken donations. I need my stuff back too sell and pay bills with as I'm under extreme financial distress. But it doesn't look like it's going to happen. I guess they evaluated my good stuff and decided to sell and make the money for themselves. Even though they have lines of cars lined up everyday to give them free stuff. Always love donating, as well as thrifting here. We have been coming here for about 7 years and every time, thru the donation drive thru or in the store, we receive the best customer service and we appreciate that more than anything! I went to donate at goodwill on palos verdes drive because of the location being closer to home, and they were so incredibly rude! Making the drive from the beach to Savers is always worth the trip when you get to donate comfortably, get good deals & receive the best customer service! I have to admit I like Savers the most and here's why: 1. Easy drive-thru donation drop off area. -they will even help you grab stuff out of your car. -give you a receipt for your tax write off upon request. -give you a coupon for 10% to 30% off your next purchase, good for 30 days. 2. They donate part of their proceeds to several local foundations. This time it's the Epilepsy Foundation. 3. This place is hella organized and clean!! -they sell both used and new items. -easy to find your size. 4. Sign up your email addy for the latest on bigger deals & upcoming events. 5. The workers here are very friendly, upbeat, and always happy to assist you, unlike several other places. 6. Never an issue with parking. Big Plus for me is the easy drop off area w/assistance. Third time visiting this place, and I swear, this store is perfect for me when it comes to dresses! I am tiny, and I'm talking about 4'11, and these dresses and maxi skirts fits me perfectly! It's so cool, that's why I started loving this thrift store haha. Air-conditioned, well-organized, and have friendly workers, what else can you ask for in a thrift store? However, prices are like the same thing as Goodwill but this place will remind of Ross or Marshalls. Clothes are categorized by sizes which is pretty neat, in my opinion. I am not a fan of their aisles for clothing- kind of pricey for a thrift store. This store offers great finds when it comes to jewelries, bags, shoes, hats, belts and scarves! This is my favorite part only because there are tons of items to choose from! I found a wool fringe scarf, and lots of fedora hats. I even saw a Gucci ankle strap heels, only for $20 but too bad, it wasn't my size. The only store that has tons of shoes for a size 5/5.5 person haha. From boho bracelets and necklaces to chick and edgy jewels.Great items for men, also. From sweaters to blazers and even ties and lots of luggage. Have a big lot for parking, but it seemed packed to me everything I am here. This place has something for everyone. I will visit here often just for dresses and jewelries. (BTW tax on the store is included) You should sign up there to their website to get deals which only last for a month after it expires. This is my new favorite thrift store. The store was recommended to me my a coworker who goes mainly for the furniture section. My favorite part is that the clothes are organized by size rather than my color the way Goodwill does it. Because who wants to sift through an entire rack of shirts looking for sizes? I have already found several great things there like a brita for $4, a side table for $12 and a globe which hurt me to pay $25 for but I really liked it and they wouldn't reduce the price. Come here before you go anywhere else because you'll probably find a good substitute for what you are looking for. read more

This is a for profit thrift shop so I usually prefer to donate my clothes to goodwill/Salvation Army, but I always love shopping here and have found some amazing deals. There are a lot of junk you have to filter out, like h&m or F21 stuff, but if you are dedicated, you can find silks and cashmere's and great brands interspersed between. If you need a formal dress or even a wedding dress, I saw 6 current designs there the last time I went. They have such good prices on makeup bags/beach bags/totes and scarfs, and during Halloween you can get great deals on brand new costumes. I enjoy thrifting because not only do you help out the environment by reusing clothes, you also save a lot of money. They have a rewards program and usually post seasonal sales and seniors get discount days. Bring your own bag since they charge for plastic bags now with the new CA rules. Great place! read more

Their prices used to be okay, but lately they've gotten ridiculous. On my last visit I found a beat up pair of vans with no laces for $16.99. No thanks. I also can't recommend donating here either: Savers is a for-profit business. There are plenty of legitimate criticisms to be leveled against Goodwill or Salvation Army, but at least they're actually charities. read more

I go there weekly with my mother. One of us always find something if not, then both of us. The daily %50 off the color ticketed items for that day is nice!! This place is spacious, clean, and well-organized, but the prices are ridiculous. I browsed for 30 minutes and found nothing (clothes only) that was worth the price, condition, and brand. For example, I found a pretty cool leather/faux fur vintage coat that was NOT from a name-brand. It was well-worn, and it was marked $45. What the fresh hell? A quick search on my phone showed me that the original item wasn't even worth much to begin with, let alone decades later and in fair/poor condition. I kept browsing and found an unlabeled, unmarked jacket (no inside tags, no materials tags, nothing) and it was $8.99. There were tons of Forever 21 jackets and cardigans ranging from $9.99-$24.99. Are you kidding? Brand new Forever 21 stuff is often less than $24.99. I looked at the shoes for a minute, and a pair of synthetic cowboy boots from a chain store (Charlotte Russe) was marked $14.99. Dude, they're not even real leather. They're from manmade materials and they retail for BARELY above that price, plus these clearly looked "used." They have a lot of sales gimmicks here. For example, you get discounts if you donate clothes beforehand, and on certain days, certain colored tags are discounted, but who has time to sift through that entire store hunting for specialty-marked green-tag items only? Anyway, this place is an absolute rip-off and for just a couple dollars more, you can buy brand-new items at discount stores like TJ Maxx, Ross, or Marshall's. It doesn't sit well with me that their items are all donated but they're seeking profit like they're Donald freaking Trump. read more

Stuff here is either a hit or miss. It's either great or trash. If you're a member, you get exclusive discounts. Today (04/27) was 50% off jeans. I went in specifically purchase maternity jeans. I quickly made a selection and took them to the cashier (7 minutes tops). Waited 15 minutes at the register for a manager because the discount didn't automatically come up. The manager (Mark) spoke with the cashier on the phone. I told the cashier that the website and the email didn't say anything about excluding maternity jeans. I know it wasn't the cashiers fault, and I know it's a thrift store; but where is the customer service. I can only assume the manager figured if I waited too long I would just say ok, and pay full retail. read more

Theres no respect or morals with this company. I used to love it here but i strongly suggest everyone to donate local & directly to people that need it. These people are getting greedy by the second. Not only have they started over pricing everything you can catch brand new on a good sale promotion, but they also refused to return a book to me that i accidentally dropped in the box as i was donating other items. They tried to make me buy it even though my name was clearly printed on the inside page! Very good thrift shop to donate stuff! I dropped off bags of stuff and they took mostly everything. The guy was helpful in loading the stuff in bins. They don't accept helmets and ripped items. It is very fast and easy to drop off items to donate. They also give you a slip to write it off on your taxes. Will definitely be coming back! read more

The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because they do have quite a bit of things that I felt were really overpriced considering they are a thrift store and everything is donated. When I'm back home in riverside this is the #1 thrift store I was go to, I never leave empty handed. The many times I have been here it has been very clean and organized. It's still a thrift store though so there is a good amount of clothes on each rack. They also have great prices and you could sign up for their rewards and get emails when certain items are on sale. read more

What happened to the pricing? It used to be that I could count on low prices and a great selection of clothes but no longer. I saw a Tommy Bahama button up shirt for $29.99...all name brand stuff reflects the same kind of pricing. The truth is new, that shirt is probably $80.00 but it is not new and someone wore it, sweating and sitting and drinking away....then gave it up to Savers...maybe if it was NWT $29.99 would make sense but then again that price is something I'd expect from TJMaxx or Marshalls not a "thrift" store read more

Let me begin with this: I absolutely love Savers. I grew up right outside of Chicago and I remember many a weekend trekking to Madison to thrift and check out the awesome Savers on Towne way. Although those days are lost and gone I still hold onto the great memories of Savers. When I caught wind through the Yelpvine of a new Savers opening (somewhat) close to me I knew I'd need to stop by and check it out and for hopes that I could relive those wondrous times. Although many things have changed my delight and satisfaction for Savers has not. When I came in I knew I had entered a wonderland. Just like the Savers I grew up with, the Lomita Savers is Large, bright, air conditioned and clean. Each respective department of the store is clearly labeled and distinguishable from the other. There are two bathrooms ( very clean, peeked my head in) and a water fountain to wet my whistle. I'm trying to get into the habit of not embarrassing myself in public places but if I had chosen to forgo that on the Afternoon I visited I would kicked up my feet on one of the couches for sale and taken a little snorlax for zee afternoon. On to the jewels! This store was killer. After a casual saunter through the bric brac I acquired several vintage and wizardy items such as the little white kitty (http://bit.ly/163gpav) for about three bucks a piece. The store's selection was huge and although I didn't leave with much it was because I knew that the next time I returned there would be more items ( savers has a pretty quick turnover). Mugs and kitchen were a no more than a few dollars a piece and all were in very good condition ( and clean) for what they were. For those VHS enthusiasts there was also a pretty primo selection of VHS tapes and audiotapes as well. I also took a quick sweep over the electronics and there *relatively* newer tvs for good prices. The book selection was excellent as well. The books were organized by genre and I was easily able to maneuver through each respective section. Books that were originally up to 7.94 were 1.99 and all books originally priced above that were 2.99; if you purchased four you also received one book free. All of the books were in very good condition. The furniture selection was scant and I didn't actually look at the pricing because there was nothing that sprung from the floor to my eye but I am sure that may have been because the store had only opened a week before. I'll be returning Savers, Don't disappoint me. I almost gave this place five stars ( a coveted rating in which I don't believe I've ever given a thrift store) but there was one big element of the store that was a bit disappointing: the clothing. Now, clothing is not my go to at thrift stores but given how it does comprise the majority of most thrift stores I do have to consider it heavily. This Savers fell short in clothing. Although there was definitely a lot of clothing and is well organized and clean, I did not find any of it to be nice ( either in the " barely used" or "vintage steals" category) and the prices were not great. There didn't seem to be much logic to the pricing and more than once when I looked at an item I thought to myself, " no. This tee from 2003 is not worth four bucks". The good news is that like many big thrift stores, Savers does offered color tag sale days and when I came in the store was so new that not all of the items had been color coded so that had not begun doing the sales.Just like with the furniture, I am really hopeful that my next experience in this department will be a little better. The customer service here was unbeatable. It's rare that I'm ever actually asked if I need help with anything in thrift but I was asked more than once by associates if I could be helped finding anything. When I checked out the staff here struck up conversation and seemed kind of happy to be there. Some thrift stores can be incredibly depressing and I've never found Savers to be one of them. Good work Lomita crew! All in all this was awesome and If you love thrifting, you gotta check this place out. I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed. I am a sucker for deals and this is the place to go for a person like me! The store is clean, organized and has some of the best prices I've seen for gently used items! I personally prefer second-hand clothes, this is just me making a political statement (it's better for the environment: reduce, reuse, recycle!), and I find great prices for baby items. To say I love this place is an understatement! I don't consider myself a "thrifter" really but this place is seriously a one stop shop! It's HUGE and has everything from power tools to baby clothes. The things I love are as follows: -friendly employees! Every time I come they are genuinely friendly and smiley (love that!) One of the best thrift stores I have ever shopped at. It is so clean and organized it makes it easy to find things. I stop here first before hitting up the mall just in case they have what I'm looking for. They have really nice things most of the time. I have bought some name brand jeans here for a few dollars; Calvin Klein, Seven, old Navy and a few others. I also buy all of my scrubs here instead of paying the full price for them. As hard as they try here, I'd rather shop at Good Will or the Salvation Army. The only thing they have going here is the large parking lot (an old Ralph's). I know the expectation would be that it should smell since it's someone else's "junk" that is on display. But man, the smell factor is exponentially high here. The kitchen supplies and goods are decent, such as the selection of coffee mugs. There are plenty of books, but not many in the genre I was looking for which was sports. If you're looking for adequate furniture, look elsewhere. I can't believe the dilapidated pieces of crap they wheel out onto the store floor. Pure garbage. The toys are horribly overpriced where they are bundled in small bags. At least clean some of them. I saw snot stains still on a doll, which was quite disturbing. read more

One of my favorite thrift stores to shop at! I always like donating too since I like changing up my wardrobe often, I love that you get a discount when you do too.
