Jamal explained everything that we needed to know about the new machine, and checked to make sure that all the connections were secure and that it was cycling correctly. Overall, this was one of - if not THE best - appliance purchase and delivery experiences I've ever had. Back then, I could not get ahold of MGR for over a month and eventually Choice reassigned my claim to another company. What I learned this week is that MGR had no idea the ticket had been reassigned. From their perspective, the claim simply disappeared. Fast forward to this Sunday. I submitted a new claim around 6 p.m. and was scheduled for Monday between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Unfortunately, it looked like history was repeating itself because I waited all day and nobody showed. I was beyond frustrated, especially since I had been calling since early that morning. I finally got ahold of AH Ashot, and he was incredibly helpful. He squeezed me in for Tuesday morning at 7 a.m. and took the time to explain what happened. It turns out they had been calling the phone number on file through a phone service that my phone automatically blocks. I had provided an alternate number to Choice, but that information never made it to MGR. Not their fault. AH Ashot and DG David arrived Tuesday morning and got right to work. My refrigerator had completely stopped cooling. The freezer had defrosted, meat juice was everywhere, the ice cream was soup, and all of my dairy products had spoiled. It was a huge mess and an expensive loss. The best part? They had the part with them and fixed it during the visit. No waiting weeks. No ordering parts and hoping for the best. They were professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely pleasant to work with. After talking with Ashot, I realized the situation back in 2025 wasn't what I thought it was. Sometimes things get lost between the warranty company and the service company. What I can say is that when I finally connected with MGR, they showed up, got the job done, and treated me well. Our experience with MGR Appliance Repair has been an absolute nightmare from beginning to end, and…read moreafter multiple visits, missed appointments, contradictory diagnoses, and technicians actually leaving our refrigerator in WORSE condition than when this started, our refrigerator is STILL not fixed. We are now having to switch to an entirely different third-party repair company. This started on a Friday when the freezer drawers on our refrigerator stopped working. The refrigerator/cooling portion itself was still functioning. The first MGR technician arrived, took one look at the refrigerator, said it was too heavy, and refused to work on it. He left without diagnosing or repairing anything. When I called MGR, I was told the issue was apparently our flooring and that they would only send someone back after WE moved the refrigerator ourselves. Fine. My husband moved the refrigerator exactly as requested. We called them back--and suddenly they still wouldn't send anyone. We were told we'd have to wait until the next day. Saturday came. We were never given a proper appointment window. A technician showed up around 9:30 a.m. while we were out. We were told they would return within 1-2 hours. We waited. At approximately 4 p.m., we received a text saying they weren't coming. Then Monday arrived and two technicians finally came out. My husband moved the refrigerator again so they could access it. They found what they believed was a leak, but instead of simply addressing the original freezer issue, they decompressed the system and shut down our refrigerator. Let me emphasize this: BEFORE MGR's technicians worked on it, the refrigerator portion was cooling properly. Our problem was with the freezer and convertible drawer. AFTER their visit, we were left without a functioning refrigerator at all. And somehow, it gets worse. MGR later sent out a THIRD technician. That technician told us that the SECOND technician's diagnosis had been WRONG. So after MGR's second technician diagnosed the problem, decompressed the system, and left us without a functioning refrigerator, their own subsequent technician came out and contradicted that diagnosis. At that point, what confidence are we supposed to have in this company? And after ALL of this, the refrigerator is STILL NOT FIXED. We are now changing third-party repair companies because we have completely lost confidence in MGR's ability to properly diagnose or repair our refrigerator. The lack of communication alone would have warranted a bad review. The missed appointments alone would have warranted a bad review. A technician refusing to even attempt a diagnosis because the refrigerator was "too heavy" would have warranted a bad review. But somehow MGR managed to combine ALL of that with contradictory diagnoses from their own technicians and leaving our appliance in worse condition than it was when they started. For anyone being assigned MGR through a manufacturer, warranty company, or service plan: document EVERYTHING. Take photos and videos of your appliance before they touch it. Keep screenshots of appointment confirmations and cancellations. Write down exactly what each technician tells you--because in our case, MGR's own technicians couldn't even agree on what was wrong with the refrigerator. I wish we had never allowed MGR to touch our refrigerator. After everything we've dealt with, we're back at square one--except now our refrigerator is in worse condition, we've lost an enormous amount of time dealing with this company, and another repair company has to come in and figure out what actually went wrong. Avoid MGR Appliance Repair.
