    Bacon and pancakes
    Jasmyne M.

I am literally never ordering here again. I have ordered through door dash and the last 4 times I have ordered, food has been cold, incorrect, sloppy, takes so long to come and then prices are getting higher with the quality of food not changing but actually getting worse. Today I receive two cold pancakes that are super tiny. The last time I ordered pancakes they were just as big as the container it came in. I'm so tired of the lack of care these restaurants have today, just greed over everything and it shows!

    Classic Savory Burger!

Hiding in plain sight this throwback to a no frills diner joint (unless you want frills, they will accommodate--on the side of course (jk)..as to not dusuede from their delectable culinary creations) will take care of whatever savory fare, you're craving. If your lucky enough to have Alicia greeet you with that smile know, your in good hands with impeccable service and knowledge to assist and guide your venture into flavor town (population, soon to be you). Are youv In the mood for breakfast, all the time? Savory has you covered with classics from south of the border with breakfast burritos or chorizo y huevos--to the gringo side with French toast-pancakes-or bacon 'n eggs amongst many more to delight, and how! With burger in the name, they do it as expected: classic made to order old school with all the usual suspects to top it off, leaving you full and pleasantly satisfied...especially knowing you didn't waste $ one of the main drag, once upon a time "burger " places with over priced too small no flavor spot menus, if that'show you want yourvburger of Frenchtoast(you probably just got an ad for one while reading). From the basic to Western (and it puts the other western burgers out there to a new region called shame, fresh made and fresh ingredients can't be wrangled. Dinner time, munchies/ appetizer time, kids menu let alone the fries (and fries with Mas than the average fry ever dreamt of.. chili cheese-DUI fries, oh, and they have sandwiches and wings...), basically, if you want a place where you know you will get consistently amazing food? Check out Savory Burger. So worth and your stomach, hunger, nostalgic side will thank you. Great people who take pride in their craft are looking to great you with a smile and meal you'll be looking forward to having again. (And again and again). Wonderful authentic and genuine service only adds to the giant portions of burger joint" with a mission to serve your inner hunger. Wow, your senses into the it's over, nap time feels that I hope will be there for decades to come. Thank you to all the staff for doing what you do so beautifully and always with a smile. I'm hungry just thinking about it. Alicia is the take away however. In a time of algorithms and computers subverting an industry born of people serving people, she provides a respite from the giga byte madness. Welcoming you in with that smile and sincere attentive smile reminds you when this kind of stellar service and great food wasn't such a rarity.. Thank you, Savory, for being the example of simple done right while treating people right with great food and amazing service. -best, Derek F. Savory Burger, great food, even greater people! You know I'll see you soon!

A pretty good burger stand. I got the pastrami with fries, cheese and onion. Very very good and pastrami tasted fresh! I always passed by and had doubts but i'm glad i went inside to try it! All meals are cooked to order. I'm going back to try the asada fries and the burgers next. They have good parking outside. Also they have a couple of TV's, a side bar seating and booth seating. The wait was about 10-15 minutes to get food and good price! I will support this local business.

    All Meat Breakfast Burrito
    Julianne D.

First time here, and let me say, Savory Burger did not disappoint. Boyfriend and I were wanting a good breakfast burrito on this fine Friday morning, and we GOT them. I added avocado to mine, would definitely recommend. Came with a salsa verde on the side, also bomb. Took about 10 minutes to come out, which I was fine waiting because I knew it was being made FRESH! They don't play here, everything made to order. But let me tell you this, what took this burrito to the next level was the out the fridge ketchup bottle the manager handed us. It's 90 degrees here in LB, and that cold ketchup on the steaming hot burrito did it for me. Abdul, we'll see you again. 9/10

Atmosphere: dead quiet. We were on a walk and popped in to eat around 3. Super quiet, clean, it was really nice. Service: Quick, nice, no muss no fuss. Food: Holy fuck. I wasn't expecting much tbh, the last time I was here was months ago and before that it was different management I think. I just thought it was a quick bite nearby. But the pastrami absolutely slapped. I had the sandwich and bf had the dui fries. The pastrami was nearly melting. It was soft. It was savory. The sandwich had the RIGHT amount of pickle. I'm lowkey thinking about going back while bf is at work because it was that good. Also, personal side note but a whole thing I liked, the honey bun case. It's so silly. I love it.

The drive thru order took too long, I would definitely recommend you call before. I guess there went my whole lunch time waiting for my club sandwich which by the way is good but damm the price !!!

    Buffalo Wings
    Marybeth M.

I love Savory burger! I always order the Buffalo wings with sauce on the side. It's always sooo good! They don't cook it until you order it so it's ways fresh and hot! They cook the wings all the way through too so it might take a while for you to get it. I recommend calling in if you're getting the chicken, otherwise the wait is 15 minutes. Today I also ordered a smoothie because I saw a picture of it on yelp. It was delicious!! It was more like an icee. It wasn't too sweet either.

From the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm, cute, and incredibly welcoming -- the kind of spot that instantly feels like your place. The drinks are on point. I've tried the iced coffee and the matcha, and both were excellent -- not overly sweet, not watered down, just really well done. But what truly won me over? The breakfast sandwiches. I had a croissant sandwich with sausage, egg, and cheese, and it was chef's kiss -- fresh, high-quality ingredients, generous portions, and packed with flavor. Not a single corner cut. And the service? Amazing. The staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely makes you feel taken care of. That kind of hospitality is rare and it absolutely elevates the whole experience. This is officially my new coffee spot, hands down. Whether you're stopping in for a quick coffee or sitting down for a full breakfast, do yourself a favor and check this place out. You won't regret it!

CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE LEAVING Was looking for a breakfast…read morespot and came across this place. It was about a 20 minute drive from home so I was hoping it was worth it. Walking in the ambiance was regular typical cafe. The customer service was traditionally basic. I ordered for 4ppl and when I arrived home I noticed my order was partially wrong. I ordered 2 bacon avocado toast, 1 avocado toast and a grilled cheese. They forgot the bacon on one of the avocado toast. And 2 of the 4 drinks weren't full. As I mentioned it was about a 20 minute drive so I just took the loss. The taste of the food was ok for 2 of the ppl other 2 ppl one being myself was kind turned off with the missing bacon and half full drinks so I basically trashed my meal. I'm aware humans make mistakes but that alone doesn't make me want to rush back to this location. I do want to mention something good about this place I did like how they dressed up the avocado toast with the egg on the side.

It's located in Bixby Knolls, surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants, bars and breweries, yet it's the only true wine bar right there. Honestly, Long Beach has more wine bars than most surrounding areas, and since the South Bay is packed with breweries, if you're tired of beer this is your sign to switch it up. You will not regret it. The food menu has cheese boards, salads and sandwiches, and everything I've had here has been delicious. The cheese boards are better than sex. There is seating indoors and outdoors. It's minimal, but somehow we always manage to find a table. The service is consistently great and the owner is wonderful. She will be leaving soon and she will absolutely be missed, but what she has built here will definitely be cherished. The new owners fell in love with the place, so you can expect it to be well taken care of and to remain just as charming. Parking is street only, so read the signs carefully so you don't end up with a ticket. If you go on a Sunday there are no restrictions or time limits, which makes it even better.

First it's 7:30pm, planned on ordering a matcha and the person at the register informed me that there was "No coffee or tea after 4pm" so I choose to order a non alcoholic beverage and maybe something to eat and cashier or owner, whoever this person was tells me if I plan to work because it becomes a "laptop free zone" after 4pm. Odd behavior to tell someone what they can and can't do at an establishment considering it's called a coffee AND wine bar. Maybe this is something to advertise on your yelp and website but a "laptop free zone" after 4pm is pretty ridiculous for potential customers who were just looking to eat and work. I almost feel like he just told me that because I was going to order a salad and a non alcoholic beverage and wasn't planning on ordering much. As the other 1 star reviews mention "pretentious behavior" so it's either the cashier or whoever it was is plowing pretentious as others mentioned or RACIST... Kinda odd to dictate what I do on my own accord while I'm a patron at your establishment. If I ordered food and a drink but chose to open my laptop, are you going to ask me to leave? Doesn't really seem customer centric. I've worked at restaurants before. Considering this is not a club, there's no live music and there were only 3 people sitting in there, I think I would have been fine to sit there quietly in a corner with my laptop. 1 star for the experience and weird behavior like I said either pretentious or racist but weird behavior nonetheless.

Heard about Dilly's Sandwiches having the most unique rotating set of beers on tap in Long Beach,…read moreso had to come to try it. The taste portions were very reasonably priced, allowing to create your own flight (or two). Specifically scheduled an early afternoon to come to the Lakewood Village neighborhood of East Long Beach. My wife found an angled parking spot right in front. It wasn't too crowded inside and the four of us found easy, comfortable seating in the brightly decorated dining room. One places and pays for the order at the counter, with the proprietors being very friendly and engaged. They brought out our beers after the pour, and the sandwiches a bit after (since each is individually carefully made). Beers: - Northern Lager [Oxbow] - ($5 for 13oz pour) was clean, crisp and a hoppy aftertaste. - Infinite Hotel [The Wayfinder X Bierstadt] (marked as $3 but charged $4) is a rice lager and was the favorite of the group for its drinkability - Winteruption [JK's Farmhouse] ($3) is a cider with very strong maple syrup overtones: never tasted anything like it. - Hyper Paradise [Rare Barrel] ($4) - saison and ale with mango and passion fruit. I liked this beer very much. - A Place Like Home [Pure Project] ($3) - Nitro poured Extra Special Bitter. - Double Negative [Grimm] ($4) - Imperial Stout, which I really enjoyed. - Amongst Friends [Sante Adairius] ($4) - a cherry saison, unusual and was glad to sample. A lot of work was put into creating this flight, with the careful pours and markings to make sure I knew what was what. I really appreciated the opportunity to sample all of these on-tap. In terms of the food, the group as a whole really liked them, though I guess I wasn't as impressed with my two samples, mainly because it used non-descript deli meat in OK quantities, heating them up when necessary. Hot Beef ($18) was my wife's, and it had been griddled with cheese to form a crispy lattice. The Ham and Cheese ($16) was served cold and had potato chips inside which my mother-in-law liked (saving the other half for home). Our friend and I split the Hot Turkey ($16) and Pastrami No 19 style ($20). The pastrami meat was piled high and the cole slaw was crisp and good, but was served cold (should have read the description more closely) and mediocre rye bread broke apart quickly. The Hot Turkey ($16) was served on ciabatta that had been grill pressed for a long time, creating a wonderful crust as good as any sandwich I've had. But the filling was OK, using standard turkey breast slices from a loaf and an ok stuffing...using hand carved turkey would have made a big difference here, but understand it's hard to do. Strangely, even though it's a pickle adorned shop, each sandwich just came with an ordinary pickle spear, what one would expect from a diner, not a deli. And the prices are on the higher side, especially with no sides and most not being particularly ginormous. But I loved how each sandwich used different breads, and how some of them were toasted very well. And having the opportunity to try these unique beers made it a really good experience.

They had taken over the spot that used to be Waffle Love, and it was such a quick turnaround that on my first visit to Steelcraft Long Beach since the Waffle Love closure, I almost thought they seamlessly rebranded from waffles to bao buns lol. Signage was posted around the shipping container assigned to I Luv Ur Buns and even a signicade closer to Steelhead Coffee; the signs informed customers that they were closing and that the Sunday preceding Martin Luther King Jr Day would be their last day of business, which also happened to be the same day the LA Rams were playing in the NFC Divisional Round of the playoffs, so I almost thought Steelcraft would be jam-packed. Don't think these bao buns are large by any means; I tried a couple at Sosogu sometime last year, and they're not that big either. They would have been the perfect size for a snack, but I was also curious about the other Global Flavors section, titled "Global Flavors with Rice or Fries". That section only has two line items: Mini Bowls and Loaded Fries. I didn't want fries, but when I asked about a Mini Bowl, I was informed that it was a deconstructed version of a bao bun with a small mound of rice. Wanting a little more variety, I went with the Bao Mi Mini Bowl. The menu did get a little confusing for me because I had noticed the (V), which usually stands for either vegan or vegetarian. However, they had several non-vegetarian items with (V), and that had me confused at first; like how is a bao bun with grilled pork belly vegetarian?? That's when the cashier, sporting a black nose ring, let me know that it can be ordered with a plant-based option, namely tofu. However, the cashier also mentioned the use of a shared fryer between their plant-based options and their regular options, so if you were strictly vegan, I'd think twice first. I asked how long the wait would be, and they estimated 10 minutes, which was pretty much spot on. I was given a pager that buzzed when my order was ready, and since there was plenty of space for me to eat, I was given a red tray with an "I Luv Ur Buns" sticker in the middle. The mini bowl was presented on a small tray, like one you'd use when you're giving out samples at a special event. I was also given a fork, which was another reason why I ordered a Mini Bowl over two bao buns as I wanted to keep my hands clean. Besides the grilled pork belly, the Bao Mi also comes with hoisin sauce, cucumber, jalapeno, onion, and cilantro. All of what I just mentioned tasted pretty good, though not necessarily as good as what I had at Sosogu last year. Then again, the Bao Mi is Vietnamese-style whereas Sosogu is Japanese, but between the two, which are the two cheapest options at $10, the Bao Mi was the most popular alongside their Korean-style, called Seoul on Fire. I'm pretty sure I would have liked Seoul on Fire better as it comes with Bulgogi beef, but the grilled pork belly was pretty good too. Just not as fatty as I would have liked. However, I didn't like their use of a wrapping paper between the tray and the food. That's because several grains of rice got stuck on the wrapping paper, and it was hard to pluck them off with my fork. As a result, it got kind of messy eating the mini bowl, and I almost thought I'd drop a piece of pork belly in the process! Luckily, I didn't, but I don't think that would be a problem with the bao buns since the bao bun from my mini bowl didn't stick to the wrapping paper at all. One thing I observed that I thought was kind of cool was witnessing the cashier hand deliver a tray of bao buns to an employee from Elio's Wood Fire Pizza, directly across from I Luv Ur Buns. I wouldn't say I love I Luv Ur Buns, but it made for a nice quick snack albeit a little pricey for a small bowl. I'm glad I gave them a try before they closed for good, and I made sure to bid them a proper adieu by returning the tray to them. They also had a small tray of I Luv Ur Buns stickers by their order window, so I made sure to pick up a couple as souvenirs. Thank you I Luv Ur Buns for serving the LBC for the past couple years, and sorry to see you go! Best wishes to Sonya, Mandy, and the rest of the team on their future endeavors.
