I placed an online order on Friday, march 6. The order was to be ready by 1:37 PM. I showed up about 130 and told them I was there. They were busy. There's a dance competition going on at Long Beach Beach convention center and there was a bunch of people in line. I was told they were working on my order. That was a lie. I watched the young lady that was processing orders and she kept moving my order to the back of the one line. It was an order for three sandwiches. They kept taking orders from people standing in line. After 20 minutes of watching this, I confronted them and they all looked at me and said they would get to my order and it would be next. I had to speak to a manager and told him that this was unacceptable as I was watching them constantly and they knew I was there. The only reason they got my order was because I made it very clear that I was upset. We come to this convention every year and I will never come back to this Jersey Mike's. Rude, Disrespectful ,Lack of customer service We came to this location on sat, April 20 approximately around 11:20 am I ordered a tuna sandwich and a short African American lady with braces asked me what i want in it? I said what are my choices? She gave me an unpleasant look and pointed at the bar said all these are your choices and rolled her eyes at me. I told her what i want and After that she starting to giggle and laughing with her partner. I asked her what are you laughing at? Is there anything wrong. Im here for the first time. I was confused by the odd texture of the bacon, I would describe it as bacon brittle. Looked like well made slices but oddly and uniformly crumbled into tiny pieces as it was eaten as though prechewed. I'd choose a different option next time. Ordered the Chipotle Chicken Cheese Steak, which in a stunningly rare turn of events I forgot to take a picture of. Trust me, it was good. Jersey Mike's has always lowkey been good at cheesesteaks. The East Village is full of great restaurants, but this is a quick and easy place to pop in and grab something to eat on my way home since it's attached to my parking garage. The address is a bit tricky because the address is Ocean Blvd but the restaurant location sits towards the back side on the corner of 1st Street and Long Beach Blvd across from both the Edison Apartments and the Blue Line Station. They were crazy busy today for lunch with the line snaking well out onto the sidewalk, but the employees held their own with speedy and friendly service. I'm already a fan of this JMS. JMS had a small soft open for some of the building employees (and our "company"), so I was able to get a tuna sub, chips and a drink for lunch. The bread was good (not too soft or hard), tuna was tasty and the the toppings fresh. Can't wait to come back and try their other subs. They do have validated parking at the garage next door so parking is no longer an issue with me for this location, but this store just seems a little slower than the other location I usually go to--the one on Ximeno. The last two times I've ordered from here I've had to wait a good 10-15 minutes beyond the time the app told me, which has been a bit frustrating. Maybe they have new staff members, maybe they're shorthanded, but whatever the reason, it's going to keep me going to the Ximeno location instead, even if it's a little farther. I have to agree with everyone here about the customer service at this location. I usually frequent the location near 2nd and PCH bc it's near my work. They are always so friendly and on top of it there. Here, you get glares and the employees act as though you are bothering them. They go out of their way to be slow (imo) and each time (ive been here about 2-3 times) the sandwiches were laughable. Sloppily put together, no care at all...idk if it's due to the downtown location and they probably see all kinds of craziness all day, but it's just not doin it for me. Please train your employees to care or get ones that do. read more
