As a local in the area I will always highly recommend this spot for the best local Thai food. My favorite dish is chicken pad Thai, they nail it every time. It's less westernized than some of the other local options and very close to the real deal! This is a family owned business and they are extremely busy all the time. So busy, I suspect they have to disconnect their phones because they cannot possibly take on more business and close the store on time every night. So please do understand that if you call for take out you might not be served, and that you may have to go in to order take out which is a bummer but SO WORTH IT! Food was good, yellow curry was tasty. Although, we asked for 4 stars on the heat, it was not hot at all. Why have choice if you only make it one way. Rice was OK, but just a small bowl for the 2 of us. Does it really matter if its jasmine? NO. The server was pleasant and it was busy, but not understanding we wanted some heat in our dish was lost in translation and concerning. Just smiling and saying yes, yes, is not good service. Prices are higher than expected for the amount of food on the dish. Decent Thai for the area and town, because of that we will likely come back. Was really looking forward to eating here because I was hungry and it had good reviews. Both my wife and I were not impressed with our dishes. I ordered a tofu Pad Thai (which curiously, is priced higher than the meat pad Thai) plus they take away just about all vegetables. The noodles were to tangy for my taste but it seems to be a Western thing rather than specific to this restaurant. Yelp has taken us to undiscovered hole in the walls that provides us with great experience and great flavors. This place is no exception. The Dungeness crab fried rice is definitely something that you should try. It made my day since I was wanting to go to another restaurant but it would have been the same restaurant we were at the night before. So glad that we went here as well because of that Dungeness Crab Fried Rice. We went here with another couple on a Tuesday night. The place was almost packed at 6PM. We sat at a booth and looked over the menu. The place is not fancy but is comfortable with both booths and table seating. We ordered the Thai Beef Salad, Yellow Curry with Chicken, Pad Thai with scallops, and Hot and Sour Soup with Tofu. All were excellent. We also ordered a bottle of wine for three of us with one ordering beer. Food is served all at once which is traditional but may not be popular with some. The wait was a bit long but all the food was delivered hot. The flavors were wonderful and the food was not over salted. We had decided on medium hot which was just perfect for us. Really disappointing experience. Admittedly we were there at the height of the dinner hour and they were busy but it took 1.25 hours to get our food and the entrees arrived in10+ minute increments vs all at once. When you wait an hour and fifteen minutes for your food it should all arrive at once. We got take-out here on a recent trip to Sequim. With no knowledge of the area we chose this place based on Yelp reviews. The reviews were right. The food was great! We had some dish with rice noodles, vegetables, and a peanut sauce (my wife ordered so I don't know the name). We also had some veggie spring rolls. All were delicious and the portions were large. Obviously they must have enough customers to keep them in business, but I have never been to a Thai restaurant that offered red curry and Panang curry without any rice included, even though the menu said that rice is included. The chef (maybe owner) said they would only give us a small portion of rice unless we paid extra (and the prices already were surprisingly higher than one would expect for a Thai place in Sequim) and said the menu didn't mean what the menu said. He seemed to be trying to be semi cordial but was clearly also being condescending. I left on principle because the menu said downturning different than what the waitress and chef/owner said. this is the second Thai restaurant I've eaten at in Sequim and it ranks the same as the first. This place is dirty. the walls and ceiling are covered with what appears to be soot. a the windows are filthy. the service was very poor. my wife's beef salad was serviced on ice berg lettuce. my soup was good, but didn't come with any rice. That's a first for me after 25 years of eating Thai. the mango on the bed of sticky rice was under ripe. this was just a bad experience and the price for all of this experience was way too high. read more

After reading several glowing reviews of this restaurant, I decided to give it a go for my birthday dinner. It was good, but not sensational & I would try other Asian restaurants before returning here. I had the Red Curry with chicken and my friend had the spicy fish. We also shared the Thom Kha soup and spring rolls. The spring rolls for were very forgettable (1 star). There was a measly bit of just cabbage inside and no seasoning. The soup was just ok (2 stars) - short on flavor and seemed diluted, but that may be how it's supposed to taste. My friend liked the fish dish, but noted that it was lacking in the amount of fish. He gives it 4 stars on flavor and 3 for content. My red curry was quite tasty - 4 stars, but I'd still want to try something different if we decide to return. The other downside was that we had to go to the restaurant to order because the phone was forever busy. And the we just had to hang out and wait for 30 minutes. What we had hoped would be a delicious celebratory dinner was just very mediocre. read more

I was eating here with my girlfriend when two other couples joined us. We had already ordered and they came and ordered too. We got separate checks. I looked at our check and gave my credit card to the server. I got the receipt which only had the total and a line for tip, not the detailed bill like before. I put a twenty percent tip and signed the receipt. After we left, my friends told me that a gratuity was already included because we became a table of six. In other restaurants, people always tell me this and when it's added, I don't get a bill with a line for a tip. The service and food were not anything special that deserved an extra tip. Pro tip: come here during lunch! The lunch specials run at $8 a dish which is a great deal. You would have to pay around $11-14 for the same thing at a non-lunch special rate. Food was great! The green curry was very tasty with the coconut milk, and spicy vegetables were a pretty standard dish of vegetables. The noodles were good as well. I would stay away from the pork dish with the red sauce though. I was not a big fan of the flavor/sauce and it was really not something I would want to eat again. Everything else tasted great though. I also ventured to try the dessert sticky rice and mango. I wasn't sure what I was expecting but it was sweet sticky rice with a half of a mango. Interesting but a bit pricy for what I got and probably would not get it again. Ambience was good, good décor. We were promptly seated and served. I am really surprised by this little hole in the wall, in Sequim. It is really good even by big city standard. Larb Gai Salad was a great appetizer. I think I could eat the whole thing. Fried crab rice wS unique and delicious. It was not greasy. I could taste the Dungeness crab in every bite. It is definitely my favorite. Yellow curry noodle totally exceed my expectation. It was yellow curry stir fried with with vegetable, beef and wide rice noodle. It is my new favorite. And their Tom Yum soup! It's made from crab or shrimp base like it is supposed to be. There was lots of lemongrass so be careful. Owners and staff are very friendly. They really took pride of what they do. I really wanted to try their dessert black rice with custard, but I was too stuffed. Wish I had ordered it and save it for later. All in all this is a very good Thai restaurant. This is wrapped in a kind of mu shu style paper that makes the whole dish kinda dry. Also, the syrupy "tamarind" sauce is a poor replacement for peanut sauce. Entree: jungle curry, good flavor nice veggie content. Pad Thai: nice combo of sweet and savory. The 3 Star has a generous amount of chili flake. Service is speedy and friendly as always.
