Got the chicken pineapple fried rice because it sounded good from people's reviews and the spring rolls because they just looked darn tasty besides an order has 5 rolls! They were very fast, felt like 5 minutes from order to leaving with my bag of food. Rice dish is huge! Lots of chicken & cashews, took me a while to find the pineapple. Very yummy. The spring rolls are tasty along with its dipping sauce. Which I don't normally use. The rolls could have been drained of grease better. Of course, this is why I wrap most of my deep fried food in paper towels. Got the order to go because the dining area is small & very basic. read more

Came with a party of 12 and they were able to feed us all and seat us in 15-25 mins. I ordered pad se ew w/ chicken, chicken larb, chicken satay and thai tea (obviously to share). The wok hei flavor was so good and throughout every single bite in my pad se ew! I absolutely loved it! Several people in my group ordered orange chicken which was crunchy and savory and pad thai with different spice levels. Im at level 1 spice so I didn't try any of the pad thai but it looked really good! Great thai option in the area, we visited twice during our stay in Port Townsend. Panang Curry was tasty, I don't recall if the heat was 1-5 or mild, medium or hot but we went with 3 (medium) and I would say it was just on the edge of right level of heat. Both times we did togo which seemed to be common given the line. Since we were splitting dish, owner made sure and gave us 2 containers of rice. read more

We drove from Port Angeles just to eat at 123 Thai. Not only is their food the best Thai on the Peninsula but they bent over backwards to assist us. One lady in our group is in a wheelchair and the had the front door open for us before we got to the door. Then when she needed to us the restroom they moved thanks around to make room for the wheelchair. Just a quick paragraph on how I assign a 5-star rating to any business, I because I assign a lot of them. These ratings, of course, are subjective based on my own preset criteria. To rate 5-stars a business must offer a great quality product or service, and the customer service they provide must be world-class, definitely above and beyond. It could be as simple as a server's personality and professionalism, and it can be food so impressive it rates high value no matter its price. And 5-stars are especially awarded to those who give added value to the service they provide. When it comes to restaurants, a place that primarily offers takeout can merit the same Yelp 5-stars awarded to a 2 or 3 star Michelin restaurant if that business checks all the boxes. I prefer to post reviews that recognize businesses that offer a great experience, or criticize a business that in my opinion just doesn't care about customers based on my horrible experience with them. And it takes a lot for me or assign a 1-star rating to any business. So, with that out of the way, 1-2-3 Thai Food is my latest 5-star recipient and why I went into that long paragraph. It's highly unassuming from the outside and inside With only a few tables for customers who choose eat in, it's focus is on takeout (with its huge open kitchen and it appears to do it exceptionally well. My wife and I chose to eat here because of the uniformly high Yelp ratings. We were greeted by a very friendly man who patiently waited to take our orders and also explained more about some of the dishes. Yelper tip: If you order Thai Iced Tea, make sure you specify THAI ICED TEA. We just asked for iced tea and that's what we got--iced tea with ice cubes in a glass. We just went with the flow, vowing to order more clearly next time. The food was served incredibly fast by the man at the counter as well as a second equally friendly --which meant that it was still hot on the plate. The Gyoza (pork pot stickers) was very good and came with yummy dipping sauce. My wife ordered the Pad See Iew with beef and it was also very good. Strangely it lacked the thinly sliced carrots that usually come with this dish although the menu stated they were included in the dish. But the flavors were there and it was abundantly served on a bed of steamed white rice. I ordered one of the specials, Thai BBQ Pork. Once again, 'abundance' is the operative word here with lots of tender, thinly sliced pork along with thinly sliced quartered cucumbers on a bed of steamed white rice. The pork was covered in the housemade red sauce (like a BBQ sauce which I guess gives the dish its name since the pork never came close to an actual BBQ grill). I primarily tasted five-spice in the seasoning blend but that's an easy one to get. This came with the same dipping sauce as the Gyoza. I set out to reverse engineer it. I swear that one of the main ingredients was liquid hickory smoke along with soy sauce, white vinegar and come kind of hot chile pepper (some ingredient gave it some nice heat. But the important thing is that all the food looked great and was nicely presented on porcelain plates, one red and one blue. We were each given a fork. Too late did I look behind me and see the area where extra utensils and chopsticks were offered. Had I seen it earlier, I would've gotten a knife to slice the BBQ pork into smaller, more manageable slices. But wouldn't you know? After I told my wife I'd spotted where the eating utensils were she told me she'd already seen it. I think she enjoyed that moment... What struck my wife and I was the friendliness of the staff, from the two men who served us to an older Asian lady who smiled and nodded at my wife to a young man working in the kitchen who nodded and smiled at me as I walked past. 1-2-3 Thai Food has genuinely earned all of its Best Of awards. And it certainly deserves a 5-star rating. read more

My wife and I recently visited 1-2-3 Thai upon this Saturday afternoon, 02/14/2026, for our take-out dinners. I was cheated on this visit. Not by much - but that's not the point. My wife ordered Entree #37 Basil Noodles with Beef as her meat selection and was charged $19.64 (the $18.00 price for an ordinary entree as posted on their refrigerator menu, plus sales tax). (Not that it matters, although I offered to pay for her dish, she chose to pay her own way.) Of note, she gave an extra $2.00 tip, which she informed me of later. Also of note, her charges were entered into the payment device by the woman counter person who initially greeted us upon entering the restaurant, and who then handed the device over to the male counter guy who merely completed the transaction and then would take care of my separate take-out purchase. I now stepped up to pay for my dinner, Entree #25 Orange Orange with Beef as my meat selection. This, just as my wife's, was an ordinary entree. The guy at the counter told me that I had to pay him $21.82. I immediately noticed the unexpected price discrepancy and politely challenged him, with my arguing that my dinner should be priced identically as my wife's: $19.64. He told me, however, that the price he quoted me was what I had to pay. When I asked him why, he informed me that beef dishes cost more and that was why my meal was more expensive than hers. This was a blatant lie, as my wife had just paid for her ordinary entree with no additional mark-up, even though she had ordered it with beef Just as I had. The fact of the matter is, it turns out that the restaurant only charges extra for shrimp, but not for beef or pork or chicken, and I am certain that he was well aware of that. So, not wanting to make a scene because I did not want to disturb my wife, especially because it was Valentine's Day, I paid the demanded price for my entree even though I was not happy about the transaction. Upon leaving the place on the way to our car, I surmised that the counter guy gave himself a 10% tip, which I never authorized or agreed to, and then lied to me about the higher cost of beef selection. I'm sure that he never expected to be challenged. The fact is, he had me swipe my card over his payment device, so that I was never even provided with the opportunity to see the optional tip screen. He must have assumed that I was not going to leave him a tip, and consequently decided to tip himself at my personal expense. In truth, I don't give a damn about those few dollars, but I do make a point of showing zero tolerance at being taken advantage of. I think the thief should be fired. I would not be surprised if this is a nasty trick that he plays on many of his customers who, unlike me, probably fail to pay attention to the details. Ironically, I customarily leave 20% tips, but only when it is my decision and of my own free will - rather than behind my back in a criminal way! Because of this low-grade financial deception I shall be advising all my friends and family and associates not to go to 1-2-3 Thai. For myself, I shall never visit or patronize this establishment ever again. The truth is, the local Port Townsend Safeway serves far far superior Asian food at less than half the price! So there you have it - my review of 1-2-3 Thai. read more

We found this gem because our normal go to lunch spot was closed. I had the mussaman curry with pork (spice level 4/5) and my wife had the basil noodles with beef (spice level 1/5). Both dishes were exceptional. It takes great culinary skill to honor each individual spice level while still honoring the flavor and texture of the dishes. The chef did both fabulously well. The owner, also, could not have been any kinder. He welcomed us like we were family (including our dog). The shop is small and utilitarian. Great, fresh, flavorful and generous portions accompanied the great service and kind hearts. What a great place to have lunch! We will be back soon for another culinary adventure. read more

We called to order item 23 Love Basil (vegetarian version) and Ka Pao Gai. Item 26 also seemed interesting but they couldn't make it vegetarian. The food was ready in 30 minutes. Solid Thai food. We got the massaman curry, the pineapple fried rice and the drunken noodles. They put a lot of veggies in all of their dishes, especially the drunken noodles, which allowed me to convince myself that I was being healthy we got medium spice level and it wasn't spicy at all. Everything there seems to be to go and it is ready pretty fast. Theres a few tables to sit at but it mostly seems to be people waiting for their food to take elsewhere. It's a big open kitchen and it was pretty toasty in there and kind of loud so not exactly the ambiance that most people are looking for. read more

I was trying to seek out somewhere to eat locally that did not cost a ton and my partner found this by a quick search of Thai food. We had just came from a Thai place downtown that wanted at least 18$ a dish so this seemed much more appealing and even had outdoor parking. I wasn't really expecting anything special as the place is not much to look at based on decor, but found the experience to be very pleasant. The menu is posted on the wall. A person who I can only assume was the owner was very helpful in helping us decide what to order. He made recommendations based on the specialties and then made suggestions for our food preferences. He was very helpful in conveying our dietary needs and making sure our orders were made correctly to the workers in the back area, even though he was not the person taking down our order himself. My partner loved his dish which was the one suggested by the owner, chicken and basil, with a fried egg. My Phad Thai was served fresh and hot, with what seemed like a whole package of fresh tofu. The servings were very large and we both had left overs. This definitely seems to be a local favorite and we watched many people come in for take out while we were there. It's a bit loud on the inside, so maybe a good option to pick up some food and eat at one of the breweries inside or while in line for the ferry. The bathrooms are a bit awkward to access since you walk thru the kitchen, but flavorful food and friendly service. read more
