They were busy but the food was worth the wait. Chicken curry was excellent and for me a perfect 3 star heat level.

Definitely some of the best Thai food I've had in the PNW. The flavors are great and portions are too.

Ordered take out for spicy fish, and waited 45-50 min even tho we were told it'd be ready in 35 min. Food is okay.

The food was excellent. Had yellow curry with soft tofu over brown rice, Pad See Ewe with fried tofu and mango over sticky rice. All the dishes were done well, were very rich and flavorful and we're good sized portions. The staff was very attentive. I'd highly recommend them. read more

I eat here often. Great place to get delicious, healthy food. I usually get cashew stir fry and the yellow or panang curries. The basil fried rice is excellent too. The owner and workers are all wonderful and remember me by name. The vegetables and meat are always fresh and well prepared. Their food is not as spicy as many of the Thai places I have ordered from (I travel a lot for work), so if you want heat, ask for something above the "5 stars" spice level. This was our go-to Thai restaurant in Sequim for several years. I liked the staff and the service and food was pretty good, and fairly quick to serve. All that has changed, and tonight I walked out of the place. I come to Sequim for a meeting, driving 50 miles and have called in 15-20 minutes before I arrive, asking that they have my order (a simple, one-dish order) ready. Tonight I got there, waited another 15 minutes and gave up as I had to get to my meeting. Over the last few months service has degraded to the point where we don't ever plan to go back here. I really enjoy the food from here. I get a curry and my husband gets a pad Thai. Yummy! They offer brown and white rice which is nice. The staff is friendly. We've only done curbside since the pandemic, but under normal circumstances I would enjoy eating here. Reminds me of the Thai places in California. Haven't been here since Covid, so we figured we'd bring friends before attending a show in Sequim that we had tickets for. We arrived on a Saturday before 530. We ordered entrees only-no apps or drinks-and waited. We waited a d waited some more. Meanwhile, there was aLOT of banging and activity in the kitchen, but no cooking noises or smells. I had a view of one table that was there before us and they were finally served about 40 minutes after we arrived. Now we're getting nervous because we are not going to have time to eat our dinner, let alone enjoy it. We were finally served at 620. By this time we were starving and scarfed everything so we could make our show a few blocks away. I think it was still good? But I also think I'll give the other Thai place a try now. read more

First visit of many to come. Top notch service with a smile. Excellent menu selection. We ordered the specials and were extremely pleased that we did. Can't wait to bring my family here during our reunion in July. We ordered the dungeness crab fried rice...fried anything is something I would not normally order but this was locally sourced crab...and it was delightful. We are talking lumps of crab, light and flavorful, not buried in grease, salt or sauce. Also on special was rack of lamb with a deliciously mild curry marinade, I added a touch of smoked chili sauce but it did not need it. I just love chili's, so there. Had the lard nar salad, also nice but I would have used cabbage leaves over lettuce for a crisper bite and to hold up to the warm minty ground chicken. Or maybe a crisp romaine lettuce boat for a fun way to deliver the goodness, meh it's a personal preference. Ambiance fair for a strip mall place. I ordered takeout 30' before I walked there. My bill was $50 so I walked there and paid my bill plus $15 dollars tip, 30 mins later after paying and sitting at the booth I still didn't get my takeout. But people were just coming in and out ordering and left within 10-15 mins. I got up and asked when I could get my takeout order and this guy just waved his hand and said your order ready and put a package of cold food on the counter for me to pick up and the fucking fried rice is under cook. read more

I thought the food was good and it seemed like a steady group of customers came in while we were there. What I didn't like was....I order one of the specials ( crab fried rice). I always thought the special price would be different then the regular price...it wasn't! Also with crab fried rice I thought you always get chucks of crab....I didn't (maybe one chunk). First time here but we'll be back again. Friendly and fun staff and the food was so good. The basil noodles with lots of scallops - yum!!

My family of four came in for dinner on a Monday at 5:30/6 pm and it was packed however the waitress was able to seat us right away. She informed us that due to staffing our food will take longer. We did end up waiting for the food for about 20 mins. We got the yellow curry chicken, the pad see ew tofu and a basil fried rice. Overall the food was tasty. Definitely recommend if you're craving any type of Asian food. read more

This was our second time coming here after visiting Olympic National park on a Labor day weekend. They were open today on Labor day which was a bonus! We were quickly seated and offered the menu. We ordered Basil fried rice and Pineapple fried rice. For drinks, we ordered thai iced tea and coffee. Thai iced coffee was too strong for our taste and the server noticed our body language and offered us more cream. After that both iced tea and coffee were yummy !! The Pineapple fried rice was really good with just enough spice and tanginess. Basil fried rice was also good. Big portions and reasonable price. The servers were really good and the food came in really quickly! We left happy and contented. I am sure we will be back next time we are in the Sequim area. read more

It is an unassuming restaurant in a shopping plaza. As such, I was pleasantly surprised that it was one of the better Thai restaurants I have been to in my travels. First, the spring rolls were awesome as appetizers. They were crispy and came out sizzling hot. I specifically loved the vermicelli inside. Next, I ordered the Dungeness crab fried rice. Naturally, it was delicious. The fresh crab and fried egg really made the dish. Next, my friend ordered the spicy noodles with beef. The flat noodles [ho fun at Chinese restaurants] were great. They were very smooth. My friend asked for 4/5 on the spicy meter. Even though it was not the max, it was really spicy. Nevertheless, the dish was so good that I struggled through the pain to eat more and more of it. I also ordered a Thai iced tea. It was very sweet and creamy. I used it to offset the spiciness of the spicy noodles. Not surprisingly, I stopped eating the noodles when I ran out of iced tea. The best Thai restaurant in Sequim. The food is wonderful, the service the best . The Bangkok salad is my favorite . The pricing is fair.

Love this place! Very charming, quaint atmosphere. It stayed busy throughout the entire lunch hour we were there. We could tell it was a popular food place among locals. All lunches are served with a salad and side of rice. We tried the: - Peanut sauce over noodles, broccoli, and spinach - pretty much exactly what it sounds like. Pretty good. - Yellow curry with vegetables - As good/better than most yellow curries I have had - Mixed vegetables - Quite good too - Mango stick rice - It is very fragrant - much more so than any other mango sticky rice I have tried, but was still quite good. My guests seemed to really love the fragrance of the rice (presumably lavender) while I prefer a less fragrant rice. It was still very good though, and we all enjoyed it. The food was good, the portions were generous, and the service was friendly. We would return. read more

I've driven by the "Sawadee" freeway sign on Hwy 101 on our way to the beaches so many times and finally had time to go. Unfortunately not enough time to stay and eat in. I ordered a chicken pad Thai for the kids and a prawn and mango dish from a Yelp pic that I showed the waitress. Both were really on point. The decor was authentic Thai style and each table was filled with happy customers who made me jealous we couldn't stay and enjoy the ambiance. 20 minute wait for our takeout order and ate with chopsticks around our campfire at Sequim Bay. Total with tip was about $40. Worth it for my night off from cooking during camping! Once my in-laws move to Sequim I know where my husband and I are going for date night! read more

Really arrogant people - they are not professional when they take the order, and then they messed it up. Asked about the error, they just said 'we re doing the best we can - we cant do anything more'. This was an error where they clearly had a mild spice level and they made it very spicy! No offer to correct it, no offer for refund. There seems to be an biracial lady who was particularly rude, unprofessional and discourteous. We pretty much did not have that dish ( a pad thai ordered 1 star made probably 3 or 4 star), but the rest of the dishes were also poorly made - the curries had no meat in them, neither did the noodles, and all had no good taste I really wonder where they get their rating - either they must have changed staff, or, it must be their friends reviewing. So unless you wanted to waste your money and be ill treated with arrogance and taken for granted, I would suggest you go to port angeles and get much better food and service read more

Sawadee has delicious food but I have a hard time eating here because they are severely understaffed. They don't answer their phones and if you go in to eat be prepared to wait ~1 hour for any food. The staff is nice but seem to be overwhelmed when someone walks in the door. I would love to support their business much more often than I am able to. OK, so Thai food this far away from Thailand or a major city is always a risk. However, what we got in the plastic to go cups resembled more of a Chinese takeout mush of overcooked and over sauced mystery food. It was in one word, inedible. The fried tofu was overcooked as well and the oil it had been cooked in told stories of many other dishes made before it. For those who don't know what the majestic cuisine of Thailand should taste like, I suppose it would be a treat. For those who have toured Thailand and are used to at least some of the grand Seattle or Bay Area restaurants, Sawadee has a lot of work to do. read more

Tonight was Christmas Eve eve; perhaps not one of their stellar nights. The mee -krob was good, but it took way too long to arrive. The noodles with prawns and spinach and peanut sauce was just barely okay. I DID say not too spicy tonight, but I didn't expect it to need salt. Blah. On the other hand, the vegetarian green beans and mushrooms with Mama's Sauce was spectacular! Hard to believe so simple a dish could be sooo good. A minor quibble: tea costs extra. Their food prices are reasonable, but I don't expect to pay extra for tea. Or a second dish of rice. We'll try again another night. read more
