First time but definitely won't be my last! We ran in here for a quick treat but I'm eager to try their lunch menu next time I'm there! I was greeted by Flo she had a contagious smile, full of energy and conversation. Engaged with myself and made sure to make my son feel welcomed and included. I went with a Mango Dragon Fruit Chiller, honestly, I couldn't decide and all the drinks sounded good but the person ahead of me ordered this and so it was so pretty I had to give it a try. Very delicious!! Within Say So Sweets is also a new addition to her brand- a Gourmet Cookie Line CHUNKIEZ!! Delicious CHUNKY cookies!! Definitely don't skip trying these!! Very cute little cafe, you could have a quiet space to work or just catch up with a friend. The food was great but the service blew me away!

It took me far too long to pop into this marvelous shop! I stopped by last week and again today. The staff is kind, informative and happy to help you. The ingredients are fresh, and delivered daily! If you want delicious Filipino foods- Say So Sweets is your spot! Empanadas- I took my friend with me today, and she makes her empanadas from scratch and was impressed with these- she could tell they made their own shells! I had them last week and again today! Mango cookies- oh MY! The mango is sweet enough and these cookies are perfect, not too sweet at all Ube cookies- you guessed it, perfectly balanced, not too sweet! Hawaiian Macaroni Salad- one of the favorites among customers- I ate every bit over 2 days! Strawberry Calamansi Refresher- I know I enjoy this type of citrus drink (from another Filipino shop) and tried theirs- not sugar added and no need with the natural fruit to sweeten it! I loved it and could drink several of these easily! Lumpia- hmmmm, it's been months since I had lumpia that I didn't make myself, and these delivered! I split a small order with my friend and (not that I could eat more) I wanted more! Very few foods tempt me to overeat- and these... I could eat a dozen! I cannot wait to try their pancit, their cinnamon rolls and various other breakfast foods! I am thrilled they are a block away from FSCJ and I need to program their phone number into my phone so I can place orders and grab them to go! Highly recommend!

I finally made my way over to Say So Sweets last weekend for brunch. I was not prepared for the amount and variety of all the yummy treats that are available to purchase! I decided on the Longsilog platter- two pieces of longanisa (Filipino sweet pork sausage) served with garlic fried rice and a sunny side up egg. It was an absolutely delicious combination of flavors, enhanced even more by the suggested garlic vinegar sauce drizzled on top. I paired my meal with a iced Kona coffee which had a nice sweet flavor without any sweetener added.

I love this place due to affordable, tasty food, and variety. This is Philipino cuisine's with great selection. It is 4.5 stars, not 5 stars. We got the Tocsilog - sweet cured pork. Savory. This dish serves with sunny side up egg and garlic rice. The garlic rice is ver tasty. Love it. We also got the spam Masubi. Spam with seaweed and sticky rice. For desert, we have ube cinnamon roll. Food are very simple. They also got many types bakery. Appetizers. Under $20 you several dishes with good food.

Everyone knows that @saysosweets is one of the best places to go to fill that Hawaiian/Filipino-shaped sweet tooth in your mouth. But SaySoSweets is also home to some sensational SaySoSavory dishes too. We stopped by for lunch today and got the Lechon Belly Roll (which, coincidentally was my nickname in high school ). It's like a pork belly doing its best Noel de Busche impression. It's a pork belly rolled and deep fried. The result is tender juicy meat protected by glass-shatteringly crispy skin. It's served with delicious garlic fried rice with a side of obligatory Mang Tomas Lechon Sauce. Go to SaySoSweets for the Sweets, but stay for the Savory.

After the Yelp Soiree Elite event there was no place I was looking forward to visit more than Say So Sweets! I found their cupcakes to be awesome at the Event and wanted to give them a try once again. I found the shop sort of accidentally after church and was convinced to turn my car around to go take a look inside. Though Say So Sweets sells baked goods like its Filipino counterpart, The Baker's Son, it does something that Baker's Son doesn't do - that is, serve breakfast and brunch. Also, this is a small store on the interior like Baker's Son, but unlike Baker's Son, it has seating for those who buy the baked goods and other foodstuffs. I sat down for a few minutes and found the atmosphere cheerful and the customers were enjoying their meals nicely. Courtesy from the employees was outstanding. One of the workers who I met at the Soirée was there and helped us out kindly. I purchased an Aloha Sunrise chiller, chicken siopoa, a Kona Coffee cheesecake, and a mango chiller. Oh! And I cannot forget the red velvet cookie!! Oh my goodness the best one I've ever had! Say So Sweets has been in business at this location for three years and seems to have a pretty solid clientele. Well, they're good - very good! And rightfully earned it. I look forward to getting back there to try the breakfasts soon - and give an update to my review at that time! For now - It's five stars in my book! Take note: Be sure to check out store hours ahead of time before trying to visit. Some days they have shortened hours and on Tuesdays it's closed. Other than that, just visit! You won't be disappointed! Recommend: VERY HIGH

One of the best Filipino/Hawaiian bakeries in the area for sure! The staff are always nice and the shop is very clean, bright, lots of cute decorations, and they now have a small dining area. I personally like the new layout more as the layout before was bit cluttered and chaotic. When I first visited Say So Sweets, they didn't have breakfast/brunch items but now I'm so happy that they are doing well and expanding. I usually get their ube donuts as they are delicious, soft, flavorful, and very light. My husband even got my birthday cake, which was a mango cake here! I love their mango cake as it's like a chiffon cake texture and the filling is made of fresh mangoes with fresh cut mangoes inside and on the cake. I would suggest getting a custom made cake from here! Their cakes are outrageously good. My husband and I decided to stop by for some goodies the other day. We got the following: Coco de pan: It's basically a bun filled will caramelized coconut flakes. It's a 9/10 for me! I love how perfectly baked the buns are and the added sweetness that the coconut flakes brings it all together. I could eat the whole container in one setting. It comes with 4 buns. Hawaiian chicken mac salad: OMG!!! I've tried many mac salad places and this one wins for sure. Their mac salad is probably the best out of L & L and Pokemoto. I was trying so hard not to eat the whole container. The creaminess of the pasta mixed in with chicken is very pleasing on the palette. It reminded me of an excellent tuna salad but made with pasta and chicken instead. The flavors were just WOW!!! I couldn't believe how much I love this pasta. 10/10! Hotdog cheese bun: My husband got this and he enjoyed it very much. So much that he didn't even offer me a bite haha. It's essentially a smoked hotdog wrapped with a fluffy bun with cheese on top. They warm it up for you as requested too! Overall, we plan on coming to this bakery now and then. We live pretty far from it but whenever we are on this side of town, we plan to come for more goodies. We definitely want to try out their breakfast/brunch items like the tocino (marinated pork belly) breakfast dish and also their ube pancakes/waffles!

My friend brought me here to try some filipino food. She liked this place and wanted to introduce me to it. The place is very nice and clean. Service was amazing. Food was delicious and yummy. Halo-Halo was decent, not as sweet but still good. The longganisa was so good!! One of my favorite of the dishes!

Say So Sweets did an amazing job bringing my Denim and Diamonds theme cake to fruition The cake was the focal point of the entire evening. Florence is super sweet and amazing with just a few conversations and sharing ideas she made the cake so beautifully. When I went to pick up the cake she had it all packed and brought it out to the car. I LOVED it and so did everyone else that attended the party at @jax_spice party hall. My family and I had tried a few items from here when they were still at another local shop nearby. We were excited to see that they'd have their own shop and offer breakfast and lunch as well because.. balance aka all the sweets need balance lol We got 2 different breakfast plates which came with a pinoy protein meat, garlic rice, and an egg. Both were super flavor and filling. We also enjoyed the fresh calamansi juice - this came in big cup which was perfect to share. Now for what we really came for.. the halo halo! My kiddo has been obsessed with wanting to make halo halo at home and since we haven't had time this was such a great treat for us to all share together. The service was wonderful, friendly, and attentive. The ambiance & just how they cared made us feel "right at home". Can't wait to come back and try more of their sweet things

I. Needed. Breakfast. Delivered. All they typical breakfast places really didn't excite me until I came across the sister store of Mariana's Grinds. I had to get the Ube Waffles. These had a thicker consistency than flour waffles and in my opinion, much tastier. The Chicken Adobo? Magnifique. The rice was seasoned and the fact it's garlic rice makes it all the more better. This mixed with the fried egg and the chicken made for a really good brunch. I was full for most of the day. The Kona Coffee was so good. It was delivered in a to-go coffee cup heavily wrapped in cellophane! Much appreciated so none of the coffee goodness (or heat) escapes. That was a really good meal to start my late morning. The people working here are so sweet. After all, that is their business name. I came here to try their desserts, & bought some to bring home. I bought a chocolate coconut haupia pie, Ube cream whoopie pies, a slice of Ube cake, & a loaf of Ube bread. My favorite were the Ube cream whoopie pies. They came with two. They look like sandwiched cookies with blue cream in the middle. They were small but soft and tasty. The rest of the items were unfortunately bland. I wish they had more flavor. I love anything Ube and the chocolate coconut haupia pie I barely tasted coconut and it tasted like chocolate pudding. Their brunch looks really good in pics. I had come too late for it, so I didn't get to try it. They have different options dessert wise, bread, pie, cookies, cakes, Rice Krispies, desserts they package individually so they can be more portable and on the go.

Cute little Hawaiian/Filipino bakery shop. I'm always excited when I see pan de sal bakery shops open up because I feel like I'm back in the Philippines. Cute decorations and shelving to make it have a more modern look to the shop. They make everything fresh and I'm really impressed with how fast the items sell. The workers there are very friendly and they'll take time to get to know us. Although I'm not a fan of Halo-Halo myself, my family purchased one to share and they absolutely loved it! My best friend got the ensaymada and she thinks it tastes just as good as the Baker's Son on Kernan. I got some cheese balls that tastes similar to the ones that I had in Goyoden-Bolinao, Philippines. I will definitely return sooner than later! read more

It is great to see more Filipino establishments popping around our area! Say So Sweets is another new Filipino bakery in the JAX area. During our visit, it was their soft opening so it was limited offerings but we will definitely return for their Grand opening to see what else is being offered. During our visit, we tried the ube macadamia whoopie pie. We also tried their no sugar leche flan and pan de ube. I loved the ube macadamia whoopie pie. I wish I got more of those sweet goodies...they were bery good. The no sugar leche flan was a great an option for those looking for a dessert that isn't going to push your blood sugar overboard. The pan de ube was okay...I wish it was warm and fresh as we were told it was fresh out of the oven. But it wasn't. So, I had to drop it some stars for that. However, the staff was friendly and excited to see what is offered in the future. read more

One of my favorite bakeries in town! The owner is the sweetest ever, and is truly passionate about her business and her food. The ube sweets are perfection and we look forward to visiting always. The Halohalo is the worst ive ever had in this town.. no leche flan, no ice cream, the ingredients are tasteless , so disappointed. I travelled about 30 min just to try their version..save your money. Do not buy the halohalo to go either.. they dont have the right container and it will make a mess leaking allover your car, no carryout bag. read more

Easily 12/10... Overall!! The food, the owner, the UBE EVERYTHING! It's in a cute plaza so you def can't miss it. I'm filipino myself and it is kinda hard for me to like ube. This place is amazingly wonderful. the spam and mac salad combo too!! Gosh i'm forever grateful i found myself there and is obsessed with the place ever since. It's really a home cooked restaurant with a lot of love. No pictures because the food gets eaten before I realize i haven't taken any pictures... HAHA!! One of my favorite places in Jax! I have been here countless times, but I've never made a proper review. (: My SO and I stopped by after a Saturday gym session for a quick lunch bite. I LOVE the hawaiin Mac salad. Definitely tastes very authentic and very delicious! BEST in town, it tastes just like the one I had growing up. It's the thing I always stop by to get because I always crave it! We bought 2, and we tried so hard not to finish all of it waiting for our main entrees. Anyways, the place has recently gone through a renovation into a mini cafe. It's not just a bakery anymore, and there is dine in now. My SO and I ordered 2 different entrees to try. Lechon pork belly and longanisa platters. We came very hungry, and it was very delicious. The store owner is always kind and even gave us a free mahalo dessert on the house. There was also another family that was there before us, and she was very accommodating to them. I love that! Remember, don't sleep on the mac salad!! read more

I was expecting way better flavorful pastries. Awesome customer service and nice store set up. Very disappointed in the taste of the bakery products. Had the Maldonado's baked fresh and hot but missed the mark for me was stationed in Hawaii for 4 years so I know how they should taste and feel. read more

Amazing ube! I absolutely adore everything I've bought at SSS, and I visit as regularly as possible. They are not only awesome at making very yummy treats, I feel that I'm receiving amazing customer service every time. When I'm in town this is my go to brunch place. They make their own tapa and tocino. I always leave room for some ube waffles and/or pancakes. They also have a variety of super delicious freshly baked goods. I always get some to take home. I especially love their sans rival! Their halo-halo is perfect to end a meal or cool you down on a hot day. They're so helpful if I have any questions and the service is always 10 out of 10! read more

This place is AWESOME. I have to admit, my experience with Filipino food is limited. To the point of just being chicken skewers from a neighbor many years ago. A food truck came through recently, and I got to try something else. This morning, I was suggested, "let's go to Say So Sweet!" The Ube Belgian Waffles were amazing. Very light and super fluffy. The Ube Whip and Berry Compote was incredible. Ended up bringing home empanadas and Asiago hot dogs. Small, quiet store with several table for eating in. Loaded with desserts to go. Definitely stopping in again. read more

We tried the hot platters today and what can I say....FANTASTIC! Every time I visit, I try to taste a new sweet, but the ube whoopie pies and Pande coco have to be my favorites so far. I love speaking with the owner and employees each time and hearing their recommendations. Can't wait to try the mahalo-halo drink to cool me off one day! These are the best donuts ever! Flo and her family have done an amazing job getting creative with their treats. The quality is great and the flavors are so unique. I bought some ube cheese and Buko pandan bread and ube enseymada about 3 months ago. It was disappointing. It was very bland. There was no taste of ube or pandan. I told myself, oh well. I won't write a review and the search continues. Today my husband decided to buy some food there. He bought kalua pork, (what seemed to be) chicken adobo, and pancit. Here's the breakdown: Kalua pork: it wasn't bad and it wasn't good. I was able to tolerate it. Not gonna talk about the consistency ..they could have probably left out the green onions on top. It wasn't gonna make it taste better. It was definitely missing something. Chicken adobo: Very salty. It looked like the chicken cubes were just boiled in shoyu and threw green onions on top. (Again with the green onions) it didn't all of a sudden make it an authentic adobo. Pancit: Very Very salty with green onions on top! And came with what looks like chicken on a stick which was also salty. I remembered when I bought some bread 3 months ago the lady up front told me that Marianas Grinds and this business is the same owner. Which I actually tried beginning of 2020. I wasn't impressed with their food then. Again I didn't write a review because I said, oh well. I just won't be back. Then my husband wanted to try this place, thinking ok maybe they've improved since I've been there. SO WRONG. Went there for breakfast and we had the Hawaiian Sliders plate and the French Toast plate and it was very good. Lots of flavor and good portion size. When you walk in, they have several menu items to select from. From breakfast, to bakery and beverage items, it's pretty varied. Space is limited inside so if you are trying to dine in, you may have to wait. Also there isn't an easy access bathroom to get to so you will have to ask the staff to escort you to the restroom. Ambiance is good, staff are extremely friendly and atmosphere is inviting. If you don't pre-order your food you need to be patient because everything is made to order hot and fresh. The bakery items are made fresh daily, and if you like cookies, they have massive size cookies that you must purchase in boxes of 6 ($30). We really like this place and whenever we are back on the beach side of town, we will be back. read more

This place was great. I went here with my 3 kids. We ordered ube pancakes, ube waffles, halo halo and haupia pie. I'm a huge fan of ube, so I was in heaven. The haupia pie blew me away though. It was delicious. I had recently taken a trip to Hawaii and missed out on getting the famous Hawaiian dessert, so I was thrilled that Say So Sweets had it. It did not disappoint. It included a Hawaiian twist by adding coconut pineapple sorbet and fresh mango! they had a huge variety of breads available along with most of them being DAIRY FREE!!! Bought the pandan roll, Ube bread and cassava pie. Everything look good and I wanted to tried it all. Especially their halo halo. I Love to support new and local business just a little disappointed everything I bought was not fresh and had no taste to it. My husband said it tasted like nothing just plain old bread. I came on their opening day so I assumed that they put their best products out but I was wrong. I will tried it one more time because I'm hoping for the best. Will update if is any better the 2nd time around. Some prices and my thoughts. I got the pork siopao, 1 spam musubi, 2 empanadas, 1 ube rice krispy. The siopaos are a bit pricey $9.99 for 3. The filling was a bit bland too and didn't like how it has green peas and carrots inside. The spam musubi tasted old, the rice was a bit hard even when I reheated, it had an odd taste I don't if that was the sauce or what. The empanadas are okay but still like the siopao filling, it was bland. The rice krispy was my favorite although for a small square it costed $3.99. I spent around $30 in total. read more

It was a cute little shop with donuts, shakes, and ice cream. The donuts are not traditional donuts; more like deep fried donut holes that are covered with all kinds of yummy toppings. They're also served nice and hot and in 10 packs. They had lots of cool donut flavors like: Dark Delight, Maple Bacon, , White Tella, and Love U Matcha, The prices range from $8.75 to $9.50 per box. They all sounded yummy; but we decided on Twix Fix, drizzled with caramel, melted chocolate, and cookies, and Lotus Crunch, which was topped with melted Biscoff cookies. Our order was ready in about 5 minutes and the bag of donuts was nice and warm. We ate them when we got back home. They were more chewy and heavier than regular donut holes, but rich and delicious. You could really only eat a few; so a box of 10 is a decent sized dessert for 2 people to share. Lukumades is definitely a very unique donut experience and worth supporting because they're not a huge chain. You'll be glad you tried them....and its worth the drive.

Their fruit-topped Danishes also looked delicious, but weren't available any more at lunch time. They also offer milk shakes and loaded (sweet) croissants. There are only four stools here next to a bar, if you want to eat in. The bathroom was pretty good. I probably wouldn't come here again, but if I were in the area I might try some of their other pastries or sweet treats.

My wife didn't like that there was so little pineapple in it. Our Napoleon pastry was pretty good, and I might get it again ($5 for a small one). We both preferred it to the brownie ($4). I don't particularly like brownies, but this one looked particularly appetizing, and the order-taker said it was one of her favorites, so we tried it. That was a mistake. Perhaps I should have tried the mini cream puffs, which are a favorite of mine (3 for $5), instead. Among other things I usually like, they had carrot cake for $7 and a cup of cheesecake for $9 (which seems steep). Their fruit shaped pastries looked beautiful (and a couple next to us said they loved the mango one), but were $12 each. Their fruit-topped Danishes also looked delicious, but weren't available any more at lunch time. They also offer milk shakes and loaded (sweet) croissants. There are only four stools here next to a bar, if you want to eat in. The bathroom was pretty good. I probably wouldn't come here again, but if I were in the area I might try some of their other pastries or sweet treats.

Update to my previous submission. Today the manager Chris called me directly. Apologies about the…read moresituation and offered a reservation to make things right. My partner and I took him on it and visited today. What a difference. They certainly made things right this time. The service from our arrival to our services was OUTSTANDING. Very happy that Chris personally reach out to me and decidied to take advantage of a revisit. This was the best! The food was out of this world, and they took care of our party. Thank you Bicossti and staff for a great brunch, we will certainly be back with all our family and friends.

Took 2 bites and threw the rest away. Cheese was overmelted into the bread. The bread was hard as a rock. WTH. I thought biscottis had a reputation to uphold. Update-Talked w the manager who said it was a one off. He was super nice so I believe him. Just disappointed to spend that kind of money for food that ended up in the trash and left still hungry for lunch.
