Since we're still new to the area, we have been scouring Phoenix, Chandler, and Maricopa for a reasonably priced sushi joint that also has quality rolls. Mind you, these aren't going to be high class sushi rolls with the best caviar, ginger, and wasabi. What you CAN expect from Say Sushi though is friendly staff/service, stellar rolls for the price you pay, and a ton of food. We honestly have never seen prices this low for all day sushi happy hour on Tuesdays, Thursday and Sunday!! We ended up ordering so much food we weren't able to eat it all but I loved all of it. Constantly take their phone off the hook so it rings busy rather than answering to tell you they are busy. Horrible service.

They never answer their phone and/or disconnect it so the call never goes through. The times the phone is answered they take my order and never call back as promised to confirm when the food is ready. (Even ordering in person) Multiple times I have had to go and pick it up only to find it had been sitting there for over 30 minutes after told it would be an hour wait. Food quality has gone downhill. Not to mention the recent health inspections! read more

Tiny and crowded. It's worth the wait. I like everything I have tried there. The girls meet there and we order different items so we can try each other's food. You have to try the Firecrackers my favorite! Monkey Balls are terrific too. Be patient, they are working as fast as they can! Takeout has been good and hot. Service - the service is prompt and courteous -- they are looking to help and clear tables as soon as you finish to give the next customer the same satisfaction of eating here. We love this sushi place so much. Delicious every time! Their hours can be finicky, they close for lunch from 3-4 and are closed on Sundays. But if you can get in while they are open it's 100% worth it! We've been coming here for months and it's some of our favorite sushi ever! The food was great & the price was good. We have a party of 4 & the bill came out with tips was $135. They extended their Happy Hour when we arrived. We ordered sashimi which the size of the meat was good & of the sushi rolls were delicious. They cut our ice cream mochi into 4 topped with whip cream when they serve us. I rarely give 5 star... 4 star is my excellent, but this place consistently is way above average and deserves 5 stars. Their cuts are generous and their fish is always fresh and firm. Hello All, I have a food allergy to ahrip and the staff were nit at all helpful nor able to accommodate with not being prepared with shrimp. I asked a few different of the waitresses and they definitely were not clear or helpful what so ever. It's as I'd they were lost as if this was a question never heard of. I will not be back please advise Management to this matter as foos allergies are real and common. Update your staff as they were truly lost. I will not recommend. read more

If I could give a 0 star review I would. Called ahead to find out if they would be able to sit a group of 8 adults and 2 kids on a separate table and separate checks. During the phone interaction we were advised that yes the restaurant would be able to accommodate. Once arrived we were told they will not be able to seat us. We explained it was different tables and even then they refused to provide us service. We then informed them of our phone interaction, we were told "the manager advised it was not possible." Cute little local sushi bar not far from home. I've been going here for several years and it been consistent, perhaps even gotten slightly better. It's the only sushi place in town so I'm glad it's pretty good. The sushi selection is very basic with selections such as tuna, salmon, yellowtail, eel and various rolls. On occasion they have yellowtail collar (fried) which is really delicious and one of my favorites. Bento lunches and dinners are wonderful- lots of delicious food at a reasonable price, and it's large enough to share for me and my husband. They also have a nice selection of hot food and miso soup is always free. Since they are always busy the service sometimes is slow so when coming to eat here try to avoid busy times (weekday lunch, Friday night dinner). read more

They only accept one phone call at a time so good luck placing an order. Then they tell you 45 min when really it's 15 so when you get there your food has been sitting out. The staff is always standing around & talking rather than working & I have to check to make sure I have basics like wasabi & ginger. Never had anything bad here. Salmon is probably their best option sushi-wise and the monkey-balls (lol) are a go-to appetizer. Not a high-end sushi spot, but the only one Maricopa has unless you count the Fry's grocery store (which is exceptional if you get it fresh!) Everything tastes as it should. Downside is the small cramped location, add the blasts of hot air flooding in every time someone enters during the hot months and I would say to steer clear of dining in. Better to get it to-go! They are usually slammed and I have on several occasions been unable to call ahead for orders. Don't get me wrong, food is good... just want to set the proper expectations for newcomers hoping for a night out in a town that doesn't have much to do. read more

This sushi place is right by where we live, we figure we wanted to be somewhere closer to home and support local businesses as well. The food server warmly welcomed us and seated us to a table, the establishment is small however the set-up is cozy and decent. We peruse the menu and selections where good, just hoping they have all you can eat sushi bar. Nevertheless, my hubby and I were starving so we'll settle for a la carte, maybe it's a good thing since we had been eating less and less lately. My hubby ordered their 'Udon Soup Combo with spicy tuna roll and I wanted to give their 'Dragon' long roll version, I have added their Sunshine which was spicy crab, asparagus on the center top with awesome fresh salmon and some white and mustard sauce. Our server recommended for us their monkey ball an appetizer rolled In a ball of spicy crab, mushroom and cream cheese all enclosed on a deep fried batter. Just moved to Maricopa and needed some Sushi. With not many sushi options in Maricopa this place for sure helps with the sushi craving.

Food is great, service has gone downhill over the years and after several bad experiences in a row have quit going all together.

The shrimp tempura roll is amazing. Edamame could use some seasoning. Overall I recommend but I do hope the service improves.

We sat for 25min without any service while people who were seated after us already had food. Finally ordered their 12 piece sushi, I would never order sushi here again the maguro tasted like the fish had gone bad just copper fishy taste when I bit into it, it was awful I've never had bad sushi even at fry's!
