Went there ago and had a good time for a family birthday. Food not great but okay, service was very good which made for a good time. With tip spent close to $400.00! Yes, pricy, but was a good time. Fast forward a year later, came in with same party of seven and was told they could only accommodate us by splitting over two separate tables. Questioned why they couldn't push tables together and was rudely no, they wouldn't do it. Took our business elsewhere. Bottom line is if you have less than five in your party, want expensive average food and rude service, then go for it. For me, I'll pass! read more

I went to the restaurant on Tuesday night and it was really busy. However, we got seated really quick. The restaurant is small but has cute decorations. I ordered the Del Sol ( Hot Stone) and Agedashi Tofu. The food came out really quick. However, the Del Sol was decent, the egg was overcooked and the Agedashi Tofu was really dry. Overall, I would not call this an authentic Japanese restaurant but it is definitely a good place to start getting to know the Japanese foods. read more

We used to be frequent customers of Say Sushi. I have like three punch cards filled. But lately, the quality of the food is not as it was. Service is always great, but the food is not as fresh and authentic as we remember. Probably will not be returning anytime soon. If you do go- one thing that is consistent is their Monkey Balls. Sushi in Maricopa? Since I moved here 4 years ago, this is my favorite place in town. The choices in town for grub are limited, but this place is as good as any sushi in the valley if not better than most. It's simple, fairly priced and tasty. Always consistent. My favorite is the Poke bowl. So much tuna in that thing. And if you like spicy? That dish, the spicy version, should get you sweating a little... Friendly service and good food at a good price. Stood in the middle of the restaurant where it says please wait to be seated all the while a worker sits there talking to someone about life and another worker literally walks around us to bring food to a table and never once got greeted or told how long the wait is or anything like that. Terrible food and terrible service. You could taste that the rice was old and the avocados in all of our rolls were brown or almost there. The calamari had little to no flavor and the roll it came with was just as bad. The servers didn't come to check on our table once. We waited over 10 minutes for them to bring our bill when there was only one other table in the restaurant. Most of the staff was just waiting around or talking to each other.
