Get together with a large group of friends for dinner. The vibe was bustling, loud and lively on a Wednesday evening. We started with drinks, margarita was premade and poured from a pitcher. The pina colada was better but not great. I finally settled on a beer. Paired well with my Cameroon, arroz y frijoles. The server was slow but steady, making rounds.
Food 8/10 lots of fried food on the menu. Still good food. We had like a seafood paella but it's called something else Table Service 8/10 the wait staff took too long to bring the check and we were pressed for time as we were attending a conference & had to get back to our sessions Ambiance 10/10 great! They have indoor & outdoor seating and we we given a choice Bar service 10/10 the bartender was very courteous and accommodating, especially because we don't drink. He was able to make a piña colada with out alcohol and divide the large order into 2 smaller drinks
Service was great. Got there before it got too busy so we were seated immediately. Saul was a good server attentive and kind. Ambiance is like a chill spot since it's in the tmobile district. Food was decent. The skirt steak was cooked well and tasty, however the mushroom sauce was a bit too salty for my liking. The mofongo was good and well seasoned.
Locals recommend this evening hot spot at TMobile District for a date night or a celebration. We were lucky enough to get a table for 2 on Saturday night within 30 minutes. The vibe is very trendy & the restaurant is open to the action in the mall which makes it very loud. Menu comes in Spanish and English. The Sweet Plantain Balls and Pork Belly Cracklings came recommended, but did not impress me. Creative cocktail menu is pricey.
I was a little perplexed on why this got such mixed reviews. I didn't get a chance to read them all, but the security guard here at the Distrito T-Mobile recommended this place. Maybe I'm an American and have limited taste buds compared to locals. I don't know but these are some of the best chicken wings I've ever had. They had exceptionally hot sauce with them. If you choose I also loved the Conch salad and I had a side of the Yuca Mofongo. And the drink! Call me Sandía. Excellent. See photos. Ivan was excellent! He took really good care of us. And he's handsome.
My wife and I are the annoying vegans and went through all the restaurants to see which had vegan options and this one has the most! We were greeted warmly and received excellent service from our server. The food was outstanding! We ordered the veggie empanadas, veggie mofongo & the vegan rice. All the food was delicious! Hot and flavorful, and with the hot sauce they offered, put it right over the top. 10/10 would recommend!
Great location, great food, great service and a pleasant atmosphere. Decided to venture away from the cruise port for dinner and arrived at Sazón inside the Ditrito T-Mobile. Located near the center with outside seating that keeps you in the middle of everything going on. Service was friandly and speedy, Guava and passion fruit are at the top of my list so Guavazaki was up my alley and it didnt dissapoint. Food was tasty, well seasoned and cravable...why the 4 star and not 5....2 of the 3 plantains that came with the dish felt a bit stale, small hiccup in an overall amazing experience, will definitely be back next time im in town.

This was our first time here and it was great! We made our reservation online and we were seated quickly. We ordered the fried whole snapper with bifongo. The fish was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating. The ambiance is festive with lots of families celebrating birthdays. I would definitely return again to try other items.
Our least favorite restaurant on the trip - honest review - it was too crowded, too loud and very commercialized feeling. This is located in the District T-Mobile. Food: 2/10 The menu is large, lots of options but the food was subpar, came out cold and it was a very long wait as we felt like our server chose to hang with the locals over us and ignored us most of the time. The Mini ALCAPURRIAS were dry without much flavor and served with a ketchup based sauce - if you add the guava hot sauce they aren't too terrible but definitely not great. Service: 3/10 (that may be generous) Our server was kind and friendly but had zero sense of urgency, and seemed to wait on the locals first. Our drinks took 20-30 minutes, I had to get up to get his attention and ask for them. Then, our food at least another 30 minutes after that for it to arrive on very hot plates but not hot food. We took a few bites and asked for our tab, it was not good... at all. The sandwich had way too much oil dressing and the mofongo was hard and dry, nothing like the Mofongo at our other more local stops. read more

We had the most amazing dish at Sazòn! The jibaro rice was delicious and one of the highlight meals of our trip! We also had an empanada (also delicious) and a brownie (decent) for dessert. The service was top notch. I'd definitely return. read more

This was absolutely amazing. Service was good. Was a little busy but service was quick. Love the rice and beans. Got a coffee for after my food was delicious. Have to pay to park but was cheap 4$ for first hour then 2$ read more

Such a grew at spot for authentic Puerto Rican food! the rice was flavorful and STUFFED with meat. The beans taste just like "moms". It would be a full 5 but the tostones were inedible. Service was great and attentive. If you want party vibes, sit outside want a quiet dinner...sit inside! read more

All the "karen" food reviewers that gave this place less than a 5 star need to go find a hobby. The vibe was good the food was as expected the servers worked hard to keep everything going. And the Coors lights were ice cold. Going through the negative reviews on this place I realized just how many people shouldn't have a voice online. read more

My party of 3 were seated quickly on a Saturday afternoon, no reservation. The restaurant has a very nice interior and the noise level was moderate, I ordered the passion fruit lemonade which was excellent. There are options for vegans and vegetarians. The vegan empanada was really good. It only comes with one so if you want more, be sure to specify when ordering: The vegetable monfongo was delicious! The vegetables were well season and the monfongo was just right. I ordered guava sauce with mine and only used a little as it was a bit sweet and didn't pair well overall but that is not fault of the restaurant: The waiter was attentive and very helpful. The only downside was that the food took a while to come so you should definitely order an appetizer or two. Despite the wait, the food was great and I definitely recommend visiting. read more
The service from the bartender was fantastic. The food was ok. Not great but certainly not bad. Just alright. The ambiance was pretty good until the concert started on stage and then the music from that was clashing with the music in the restaurant and it got a little crowded and loud for me. read more

Had a great time at Sazon it was my 1st time here and it was Christmas Day. All the Staff were friendly and attentive and in the festive spirit. I sat at an outdoor table which was great because there was a live performance at the soundstage and we were able to enjoy our food while also enjoying the music and atmosphere. The food is an easy 8/10 -- flavorful, well-prepared, and worth trying. However, the service was extremely disappointing on both visits. On our first night, we opted to sit at the bar to avoid the wait and were practically ignored despite multiple staff being present. We had to ask for everything... drinks, water, napkins, even placing our order. Still, we returned for a second try, hoping for a proper sit-down meal for my wife's birthday. We were told it'd be a 45-minute wait, got a confirmation text, and waited patiently only to be told an hour later that we weren't on the list at all. Despite showing them the message, no effort was made to accommodate us. We were told to start the wait over and they couldn't put us in front of other waiting customers to make them wait..... even though we had been already waiting an hour... With proof of a text stating we in fact were on the waiting list... Even when we sat at the bar again, no one approached us. We requested a supervisor, who never came -- then were told she had come, which simply wasn't true. We ended up leaving without eating. By the time we left restaurants were closing unfortunately and a lot of time was wasted on our end. We weren't asking for comps, just basic, fair service -- and we didn't even get that. I can't recommend this place, even with the good food, because poor customer service outweighs everything else. Our first stop to eat in San Juan was here. It's located in Districto T-Mobile serving more authentic cuisine. We were seated on the patio in a high top table to watch people coming & going, plus a view of the main stage/park area. It's a sight to see with zip lining, videos, lights and music going on. It took a while for our server to come by so I had to flag someone down. That sucked but the food & drinks made up for it. To start we had the conch fritters and plantain balls. Very tasty and they both came with a dipping sauce. To drink we had a Pina Colada and a Passion Fruit Margarita. Presentation was excellent and very good tasting. The Pina Colada could have used an extra shot of rum but it was good. For dinner we shared an order of seafood paella. It was sprinkled with white fish, shrimp, mussels, calamari and a clam shell (it was empty). Not the best but not the worst we've had. They have a meat option on the menu - I may try it before leaving PR. Overall, a good meal and service. We would come back & recommend! read more

Overall, my experience was pretty good. The vibes were nice, though we did have to wait about an hour for a table. The staff was really friendly, which made the wait more bearable. We were a group of six, and the prices were reasonable. I had the seafood rice. It was good. Also the Mahi fish and plaintains were good. I recommend. Plus, if you're driving, you can get your parking validated, so it's free! read more

The food was good! I had seafood rice with calamari, mussels, scallops, shrimp and pawns. It was well cooked with the service was nice very helpful and on point with the order. The ambiance is very nice you can hear the music outside but the place is not to big but not to small it is just right. The only negative is we had to wait a hour but it was worth it. My friend had the Maui Maui with garlic sauce. I had some of that it was the best thing on the table read more
Belated Review. I came for a quick bite after a long day of errands. This location seemed to be one of the busiest within the plaza and was a fun vibe on a Sunday evening. The food is tasty and gives a good glimpse of comida criolla if you're visiting and don't get an opportunity to check out local food stands. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This was hands down the most horrible service I've ever experienced, all thanks to our waitress, Angelissa. We ordered our drinks and food, and it took 20 minutes just to get our drinks. Then, we waited over an hour for our waitress to check on us--she was nowhere to be found. My mom had to hunt down another waitress just to find her. When she finally came back, she had an attitude and hit us with a "What is it?" like we were inconveniencing her. When we asked about our food, she rudely said it wasn't ready and disappeared before we could even order more drinks. After an hour and a half, we finally got our food--but instead of serving it like a professional, she slammed the plates on the table like she was throwing a tantrum. One of the orders was wrong, and when we pointed it out, she snapped at us with even more attitude. After we ate, the nightmare wasn't over. We had to track her down AGAIN just to get the check. The second we got it, she hovered over us, clearly hoping for a tip. Now, my family and I are HUGE tippers--always generous. But this girl? An absolute disaster. No manners, no class, no work ethic, no service skills. Just straight-up rude and unprofessional. And when she saw we didn't tip her? She started talking crap--aggressive, unprofessional, and completely out of line. The food was good, took too long, but tasted good. If Angelissa is your waitress, leave! read more

This is our first time tasting mofongo, so not too sure how it's supposed to taste. It was extremely cold from the inside, so just felt like I was eating a cold mashed potato. The empanadas were great. They were pretty busy so we didn't see much of the waiter, but when we did see him; he was very sweet and helpful. read more
This restaurant is super busy. This is our second time here since coming to Puerto Rico. It is located in the very lively District T Mobile. The food is good, but not over the top. My wife and I ordered the Mahi Mahi with sweet plantains. The fish was cooked perfectly, but the sauces that were served with it lacked any real depth of flavor. The plantains were very tasty. I ordered rice and beans with mine and had to send them back because they were cold. Our waitress Alahondra handled it with grace, and when they returned my expectations were exceeded. They were very good. The beef turnovers aka empanadas were the highlight of our meal. The crust and the filling was awesome. I loved the cod fritters, crispy and flavorful. Not too greasy. Deep fried snapper could have had a bit more flavor, nonetheless it was crispy, loved the picked onions on top. Service was awesome, loved that our waiter was informative about the menu. I wanna say his name was Francisco, but he was attentive and welcoming. Ambiance its in the heart of the T-mobile center so its lively, loud, and fun. Definitely a place to come to for some fun with family or friends. Such a good vibe. read more

Visited the T-Mobile district and after a scooter ride over decided we would try one of the locations. We noticed the low star review but decided to still give it a chance. My husband ordered the seafood mofongo, I ordered the appetizer alcapurrias and bacalaoitos. Unfortunately as a Puerto Rican, I unfortunately felt the flavor was lacking - the mofongo felt like it was missing seasoning and garlic, it was not made with chicaharrones. The seafood on top was good aside from one shrimp that was left uncleaned (definitely needed to be poop scooped ). I was surprised the alcapurrias were made with corned beef the masa was good I felt like the meat filling could've used some extra seasoning. The bacalaoitos did not taste like bacalao or have any textured bacalao pieces which felt unfortunate. The ambiance was modern, colorful and the staff were inviting answering all questions we had with patience. If the restaurant could add more spice, especially being named after seasoning I think that would help bring in higher reviews and better overall ratings. read more

Honestly I had a very disappointing experience at Sazon. Service was terrible, starting from the host who seated us 30 minutes after he told us it was a 2 minute wait and ending it with our waiter who barely checked on us. The tostones were very dry and almost impossible to cut. The mafongo was okay but did not live up to the hype surrounding it. I would not come back again. read more
OMG! The restaurant, the food and the staff are all amazing! We sat at the bar as they were already packed early in the afternoon. It was the best decision because it looks out to the center of the Distrito! The bartender was very helpful, explaining the menu and what went well with the entrees. I chose the Fried Snapper with a side of Mamposteao Rice - it was everything I imagined and more! Chris had the Mofongo Stuffed with Skirt Steak. Both meals were excellent! One of the bartenders offered to exchange my bottled water with a colder one as it was getting warm while we waited for our food. I declined so he brought me a glass of ice instead. The staff were all friendly and courteous. Very nice restaurant with a wine cellar in the middle. They also have quite a few tables outside. read more

This restaurant is located inside the Distrito T Mobil in San Juan. The area itself is very cool looking. It's an open air type food area and venue. The wait for us to get in was 40 minutes. We came here to get drinks and desserts. We had a very bubbly waitress that was very helpful. We had the passion fruit mojito and Carribean Colada, Nutella Creme brulee and regular Creme brulee. The Creme brulee was pretty small at $8 and it was okay not delicious. The mojitos were ok. I've had better ones in West side of the island. It seems like things in San Juan area are most definitely higher priced for no reason at all. I didn't try any food but table near us had a good looking spread but they waited for food even longer than us and were seated before us too. So service is slow. Overall I give it a 6 out of ten. read more

Todo Bien! My first night in Puerto Rico, I dinned at Sazon Cocina Criolla, The host seated us immediately and our server delightfully made suggestions. I had the classic Mofongo, made from mashed green plantains served with shrimp on top. Also, the ceviche here was delicious, along with the seafood rice. For dessert, I concluded my meal with with a delectable flan, which was very delicious. The ambiance of Sazon, was very vibrant! The initial sign outside of the restaurant captured my interest to dine here. They have seating's for both small and or large group. read more

This place is okay the drinks were balance with flavor and liquor. However the food was very disappointing. We started off with the wings as our appetizer . They were very flavorful but salty, for the main dishes we order the sandwiche de pescado and new york steak. Let me start of saying that the sandwiches look like a huge fish sandwiche which as I was eating into the sandwiche I noticed how much batter was on the fish . Keeping all that into consideration it was salty and super greasy. The other plate order was the new york steak it had no flavor and very dry . Definitely not worth coming here apart from all this issues they will charge you for water. As to the staff we cannot say enough they were friendly and welcoming. read more
