Happy Friday Junior my fellow Adventurers!! I visited this location while visiting Watkins Glen, and this place was great. I snagged a table outside on the patio while the sun was setting. The views were incredible and the beer was delicious. I think I ordered the chocolate stout and possibly the peanut butter stout--two of my favorite types of beer. I thoroughly enjoyed just relaxing and eating the margherita pizza while watching the sky turn several lovely colors. I recommend giving this place a try for both views and the stouts. read more

Fully deserving of 5 stars... the service was fantastic and food was bomb. We started off with their award winning meatball sliders on the advice of our server, and were not disappointed. They were huge, flavorful, and served on warm/soft slider bread. We also ordered the "works" personal pie, as well as the loaded veggie pie, both of which was delicious and packed with toppings. We ordered a flight of 4 of their beers and out if those, my boyfriend and I were almost in tears with their Peanut Butter stout. It was ridiculous. They are working on distributing it but it doesn't exist anywhere outside of this brewery at the moment... so we took home a good amount of it to share with friends and family. To top it all off, the ambience was relaxed, chill and the live music was a cherry on top of an already great experience.. We listened to covers of Bob Dylan, Phish and Jimmy Buffett while feasting on their pizza and beer, and watching the sun set over Seneca Lake. Highly, highly recommend. read more

My wife & I were visiting the Finger Lakes region by Lake Seneca. On one of trips to one of the many wonderful wineries, we an across Scale House. Such a great find. It is super clean. Great atmosphere. Plenty of seating. Plenty of parking outside. Jenn (our bartender) and her husband (the cook) are the owners. Jenn was a hoot! She will entertain you. If you are not sure about what craft beers to choose that they offer, she will pick them out for you. And she does a great job at it!!! I ended up taking home a four pack of their Peanut Butter Stout. Outstanding!! Not sweet. Just the right hint of peanut butter. The other beers in the flight I got were really good too. The pizza is awesome. My wife got the plain. I got the Pickle Rick. DELICIOUS!!! Wish they had this where I live! We even met some new friends from Canada while visiting here. Another great day in the finger lakes and the Scale House Brewery rocks. Family all went to this brewery tonight. Happy hour pizza and beer, what could be better. Family gave me lots of ice cookies. Came here after hiking at Watkins Glen and needed to refuel before hitting up some wineries and this was the perfect spot! The service was excellent, the pizza was AMAZING, and obviously the views are incredible. 2 of my friends and I split the large chicken bacon ranch which was more than enough for the 3 of us. We were all so happy with all of our food and drinks. Definitely recommend getting the beer flight! If I'm ever back in the area for a visit I would 100% come back here for another meal. read more

What a disappointment. Son and I stopped here for lunch on day of poking around the Finger Lakes. Intended to have lunch, drink a couple beers and hang out on deck overlooking the deck. Beer was ok, and the appetizer was so unremarkable that I don't even remember what is was. However, that was all eclipsed by an awful, overwhelming smell of raw sewage that was emanating from somewhere on the property. Not even the light breeze was a help. We mentioned it to our server who just said, yeah "we'll look into it." Now, I'm a farm boy, so this wasn't just manure or sewage that had been spread on a nearby field. This was pungent and coming from right there somewhere. Needless to say we quickly almost finished our beers, choked down a bit of appetizer x and got the hell out off that deck and outa there. My friends and I went on a hike and hit some wineries in the area when we stopped at Scale House for some lunch and beer. This place is AMAZING! I was born and raised on Long Island so I am very particular about my pizza. This pizza honestly gave a lot of my LI shops a run for their money. Two of my friends and I split the largest chicken bacon ranch pizza and it was unreal and was filling. My other 2 friends each got different personal pizzas and were equally pleased. The service was quick and great and our server (Lexi) was so kind. I also got a beer flight which was perfect because I was able to try a good amount of 4 different beers and for such an affordable price. You get to choose any of their beer for the flight! I highly recommend the Cannoli stout! It was my favorite on my flight and tasted delicious. I believe the alcohol content was 9.6%, but it didn't taste too strong at all. Great food from my trip to the Finger Lakes a little while back. However, I can't shake the service experience I had. I don't normally write reviews but I was so off put by the staff. The restaurant is portly managed despite the quality food. The manager was loud and obnoxious. She appeared to be quite rude to the staff. Additionally, she repeatedly swore very loudly in front of the whole restaurant including families and children. There were also customers who appeared to be local patrons going in and out of the kitchen. I don't know about you but I don't like the idea of other customers near my meal. Overall, as someone who has worked in the industry, I would not return solely because of my empathy for the servers, hostesses, bussers etc read more

My husband and I had visited mid August 2024. The food and the beer was very decent no complaints about that. The service on the other hand was horrible; we came in hoping to listen to some music and have pizza and a couple of beers. We were greeted by a teenage hostess who asked us if we wanted to get something to eat. She was pleasant enough but didn't asked a key question: if we wanted to stay or if the food was to go. We totally did not mind to be waited on and proceeded to get to the available table to wait for our food to be served Apparently there was a sign by the entrance about the procedure to be seated at the restaurant but as we all know people do not read the signs after the day of tasting wines at Seneca wineries. To make the long story short; our pizza was delivered at the table in a box and we were still not told that our food was actually to go only. Since the concert was held outside we went to the patio and sat down at the table where we were approached by a very aggressive waitress who told us that we ca not stay there and that there are other people who are waiting for this table. We could not understand what was happening but had decided to leave anyway I've decided to speak the owner, not to make any scene for sure but just to express our frustration. First of all, there was no word of apology whatsoever. After a day of wine tasting, we were HUNGRY! Scale House had been recommended by a few locals and beer was sounding like a nice change of pace so we gave it a try. They had a Tuesday special: a personal pizza with two beers for somewhere between $12-15 I think. My husband and I split that and it was plenty. Our server, Hannah, was super friendly and recommended mixing the peanut butter stout and chocolate stout, which was DELICIOUS. The pumpkin ale was also very good. Stopped there over Labor Day weekend and was quite pleased. The meat lovers pizza was delicious and my wife had a bowl of meatballs that were also very good. I had a glass of hazy IPA that I found to be excellent so I ordered a flight of four beers and none of them really stood out but were drinkable. We were seated right away and sat outside on the covered porch that was quite nice. The service was good and the food came out in a timely manner. Both dishes were hot on arrival. Pizza in the finger lakes ? Come on, I'm from downstate NY the pizza capital of the US. This pizza was so good. We came here first on a Friday night as it was the only thing open locally. The was a singer song writer playing, the place was busy and overall it was a great atmosphee. We opted for the meat pizza which came out and just totally rocked. Crisp crust, delicious meat, good sauce.. I want more now !! We came back on Sunday really for the same reason, being late on a Sunday, but this time with no reservations. My wife wanted the everything pizza. This place was much quieter but the staff is so good. I liked this pizza although it wasn't as good as the meat pie. The dough wasn't as crisp and the toppings not as good. We took the leftover pizza home and when I reheated it, I made sure to crisp up the crust and it was delicious.
