    Customized cake
    Tiffany D.

They do customized cakes here and I've called so many neighboring bake shops, and they either don't do customized cakes or there were no response. I got a hold of the customized cake person here, Marcela and she is the owner as well as doing the designs for customized cakes! She goes above and beyond as I talked a lot of elements with her about the cake I want as well as cookies. Their cake is also delicious! Usually the customized cakes, look pretty but isn't delicious. This one was both to my delightful surprise. I opted for mixed fruit for my baby's first birthday party Harry Potter themed "The Chosen One" and everyone complimented on the cake's dragon, cake's flavor and overall design. They also went out of their way to help me pack the cake to my car since it was heavy and required care and handling as well as the batch of cookies I ordered. The shop offers other baked goods too, such as eclairs, themed holidays like Mother's Day cookies, Napoleon and etc. I will definitely be back to order more cakes and other baked items from her!

My birthday was earlier this month, but I still think about this cake :) My whole family loved it, and it was just as delicious as it was beautiful.

Ordered a specially designed St Honore cake 1 week in advance for my daughters 18th birthday. When I showed up on pick up day, there was no cake made. While they scrambled to make one and have it ready 2+ hours later, it didn't have time to set and separated in the car on the way home. No discount was provided for my troubles (drove 30 minutes twice), and so I still paid full price. While the cake was delicious!!!!, the experience was not and made my day stressful. Beware for future orders.

Marcela is such a kind, crafty baker / designer! We had a recent baby shower with a highland cow theme and she duplicated cupcakes we were coveting (from a photo) with ease! Look at these little stunners (we are in love with the design)! She also made our wedding cakes and many cakes throughout the years living here in Sonoma - it'd be hard to find a better baker: 5-stars and great service, too!

flourless chocolate cake surrounded by the famous mocha macaroons

I canNOT believe I have never left a review!!! We have been loving princess cakes, pastries, coffee, and lunch for 25+ YEARS. The princess cake is the best one we've ever had, (sometimes someone will go off book and get it from elsewhere and people turn up their noses!!) everyone in my family wants one for their birthday but one is gluten free so we ordered the flourless chocolate cake and a dozen macaroons. DELICIOUS!!!! Many thanks to Marcela and crew, it was a special order and I gave them less than 24 hours to do it, GORGEOUS, and so tasty, so light, not just a dense layer of chocolate like most of them but a light as a feather mousse covered with the most delectable ganache.

This was the perfect cake for my 3 year old nephew. Strawberry shortcake with whipped cream This was the first time ordering from them and it won't be my last. My nephew loved it and so did I Took one star off because the cake was supposed to be ready at 10am and they called me saying it would be 11am. I showed up at noon and it was t done.

Kids wanted an adventure so we chose to come over to Sonoma and found this bakery as one of the higher rated bakeries. The selection was high, even being later in the day. The various cookie choices gave plenty of options & my girls loved both the green dinosaur and pink/purple butterfly. They say the cookie tasted "good!" . We got three cake slices to try, Princess Cake- slight almond flavor with smooth filling & delicate cake, Raspberry Chocolate Ganache- thick ganache with perfect sweetness, subtle raspberry flavor that paired nicely with the soft chocolate cake, Fruit Basket - our favorite that matched the season well. Mixed fruit inside a deliciously delicate whip cream type filling, so much fruit each bite had a minimum of one bite sized piece of either strawberry or peach. We picked up a few of the pink butterflies for the kids, raspberry print cookies and the mocha macaroons for later. Some place we will definitely come for a larger sized cake for a birthday or another adventure with the kids. Our new go-to bakery with exceptional items

A beautiful 3-layer champagne cake with custard and strawberry jam filling.

The backyard seating is also lovely with all their plants and shaded spots. We had their Turkish eggs, duck breast sandwich and the Shrimp toast appetizer. Everything was amazing. I'd only add that my son would have appreciated another poached egg or two (it comes with two) with the Greek yogurt and bread!

The service was pretty good, seated fast, pretty attentive with all the tables they had to serve. We ordered a traditional caramel macchiato (it is nothing like a Carmel macchiato that you are thinking of) and a matcha latte. They were pretty but lacking flavor. The Mach was very bitter, but I am sure that's the traditional version in a little bitty shot like glass -not my fave but I was trying to order stuff i wouldn't normally get. ‍ the matcha came in a giant mug, and it wasn't sweet at all and just kinda of plain. For food, we ordered the wagyu steak and eggs. It came with some interesting garlic herby potatoes, a piece of sourdough cut in half, scrambled eggs, 6 slim slices of beef and a little jam of some sort. We also asked for a side of their house made chili crunch. The steak was mediocre, the potatoes tasted a little weird. We enjoyed the bread and eggs the most. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things. I'd come back and try other items. It is a very cute location.

As an espresso…read moreaficionado, I was astounded at how poorly our lattes were made -- this is the first espresso I've ever thrown away. The grind and extraction weren't weighed or timed, resulting in a harsh, burnt shot. But wait. It gets worse. The barista poured the espresso into a plastic‑lined to‑go cup with the milk already inside and then attempted to "froth" the espresso‑milk combo directly in the cup. He jabbed the cup up and down on the steam wand with such ferocity you'd think he was operating a jackhammer to break up concrete. Needless to say, not only was there negative microfoam, but I can't imagine how many billions of nano‑plastics were released into the drink from steaming inside a disposable cup. James Hoffmann probably rolled over in his grave -- and he's not even dead. On the spectrum from cardinal sin to angelic coffee, this was a full‑blown crime against humanity. For a proper latte made by baristas with actual technical skill, head across the street to Equator Coffee.
