I popped into this cute, not-so-little shop after a trip to Goodwill. The exterior is super charming with flags from different Scandinavian countries. Inside, they carry a fun mix of Swedish candies, chocolates, kitchen tools, and other little knickknacks. There's also a pastry display by the register and drinks available to order. I grabbed a bunch of Bubs candies pre-wrapped in 1/4 lb bags, which makes it so easy to sample different flavors without breaking the bank. I also picked up a couple bags of other sweets. Prices are fair imo, and I'd definitely come back for a restock!

Store has free parking and large variety of Scandinavian goodies especially candy but overpriced! Bubs candy variety was complete DISAPPOINTMENT - overhyped on TikTok. Traveled from Oregon and was expecting at least 6-7 flavor options available. Only 4 available. No sour foam bubs skulls ; only 2 large bub flavors... The rest of the bubs was the packaged ones (skalle/goode) you can buy on Amazon for half the price they charged

Came here for Swedish candy and we were surprised with how large the candy selection was. All the candy was in bundles of $4-$4.50 so we picked a mix bag, sour skulls and watermelon slices. I was surprised to see they also have a cafe with pastries and tables which was very cute and clean!

I came to Scandinavian Specialties this morning, Wednesday 17 May 2023, as a form of observing Norwegian Constitution Day (17 May) this year. My Grandad Endre (full Norwegian - type full Old Norse and before, from the fjordlands and further north) died in March of this year, so I decided it was time to start figuring out a way of celebrating the holiday for me. Arriving a few minutes before opening, 10:00 a.m., I was the first customer to pull into the parking lot, though the car behind me on the street pulled in right after me and the person in the car entered the store before me. Just inside the door were a number of Norwegian items, to the left was clothing and food items, to the right was a sit-down dining area, dining-ware items, and books in a room. Directly in front of the door upon entry was a baked goods case and the cashier. The workers were friendly in greeting and helping me choose what baked good to go with. I asked if there was anything particularly Norwegian and the worker recommended a cake, which I decided to go with. I bought a Nidar julegris confectionary and a couple other Norwegian items as well. My bill came to $32.24, for which I paid cash. The cake was probably the best cake I have had, it was not overly sweet, and was super light and fluffy in texture. Happy with all my purchases and my overall experience.

My partner and I went to this place today for the first time. We loved it so much. They have a huge variety of products Sodas are so yummy . We also ordered the best cake In the world (that's the name of the cake) LOl And the fish cakes . Omg delicious! We are definitely coming back. The lady works there is a sweetheart

The arboretum-inspired interior creates a warm, inviting space that's perfect whether you're meeting friends, getting some work done, or simply taking a break from the day. The coffee was excellent, and one of the highlights of my visit was trying their Mocha Flight. It was a fun and creative way to sample several different mocha variations side by side. While I ultimately decided that I'm still a fan of the classic mocha, I'm glad I tried it--it made for a unique coffee experience. Another nice surprise is that Hagen also has a full bar, so it's a great place to return later in the day if you're in the mood for a cocktail instead of coffee. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions, making the experience even more enjoyable. Between the excellent coffee, creative drink offerings, beautiful interior, and relaxed atmosphere, Hagen Café is a place I'd happily recommend to anyone looking for a unique café experience in Seattle. I'll definitely be back.

It tasted very rich, creamy, sweet and just slightly tangy with a velvety smooth texture. The generous toppings balanced it out perfectly and it was served in a beautiful Fortessa bowl. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the selection of pastries, hot brunch items, and coffee drinks. The coffee tasting menu looked enticing. If I had more time to leisurely work or talk with company here, I would have opted to go this more adventurous route. However, I did end up trying one of their seasonal menu items - the Sakura Blossom Cloud Latte. I customized this drink with oat milk, even though the foam has to stay as dairy. The oat milk added a nutty creaminess that I particularly enjoyed. There were notes of the sweet Sakura syrup with a slight saltiness from the cream foam that gives the drink its perfect balance. It was a refreshing drink for a pick-me-up and they only had it for a limited time! My only thing is that I felt some coffee beans at the bottom that may not have been grinded as finely but other than that, the drink was amazing and I would recommend as a good backdrop for a spring walk!

Unfortunately, the service really took away from the experience. Our server, Jennifer Burnett, was noticeably warm and attentive to another group nearby, but with us, the service felt dismissive and disengaged. For example, my husband ordered an Aperol spritz, and when they were out, we substituted Campari--but what arrived resembled a raspberry sparkling water, not even close to what Campari tastes like. When we brought it up, the response felt very brushed off. It's disappointing because the setting and food have so much potential, but service matters. I'd recommend spending your money elsewhere in Poulsbo--there are plenty of great spots along the main strip that offer both good food and a better overall experience.

Whoever the Chief Lunch Officer (CLO) at IKEA is made the bright decision to only have 5 options for meals. They knew that their patrons would be suffering from decision fatigue by the time they made it to the mess hall. At this point in the day, IKEA has put you through enough mental gymnastics, and you don't want too much variety in which Scandinavian plate to order. So grab whichever meatball derivative product that speaks to you, and take a window seat so that you can vibe out to the sights and sounds of beautiful Renton. If you're coming from Seattle, you've most likely never been here! Why would you need to? It's a gem, folks. You're bound to see hilarious views of shoppers losing control of their carts from above while you rest up for your final push through the store. I was pleasantly surprised by both the traditional meatballs, and the veg balls, which are fairly similar in texture and taste to the standard issue (did they make a mistake?) the lingonberry jam (I'm pretty sure that's what I was eating) adds a nice balance to the balls that is necessary to cut through the fat. The mashed potatoes were just ok, but if you screw those up then you are just a lost cause. A nice gravy blanket then re-invigorates the body, bringing back the calories lost from the 15k steps that you just took through a warehouse that makes Costco look like a dollhouse. Let's be clear that I'm not rating ikea itself as a 3 star establishment here, it's higher. They are doing us all a service by supplying easy to build (well, maybe not easy) furniture at a decent cost. And the store itself is actually fun. But I can't in good faith rate the food higher than 3 stars. It did the job well, but there are certainly no frills. Also, make sure you get yourself a Varmblixt for some warm, ambient light in your household. It will change your life.
