Scapezone and its owner Fredy were hired by the main contractor to perform certain work in what prior to their involvement had been a fairly unpleasant experience building a retaining wall. Fredy and his crew did great work, always in a timely manner, so we retained Scapezone to handle the full landscaping project that was needed once the retaining wall had been completed. Fredy helped design the project based on our desires and always provided both suggestions and different options at each phase of the project. The pricing was reasonable and always explained in advance----and except for agreed upon upgrades, Fredy stuck with the pricing, even if at times some extra unanticipated work was required. Fredy visited the project at least once a week and was available at other times by text----I rarely had to wait more than a few minutes for a response. Everything was completed when promised---except for brief delays if it rained and work had to be halted. The crew was always on time, worked hard and seemed to very much care about completing everything to our satisfaction. An A+++++ experience. read more

Fredy and his team are the best! They helped me with taking out a very old rotting wood deck/pergola and putting in a beautiful new Alumawood pergola on a concrete pad, rebuild outdoor BBQ and a resigned pathway. It looks so much better and really helped open up our backyard. From start to finish, they were easy to communicate with, patient with all my questions, detail oriented and very accommodating to my crazy work schedule. Their price was reasonable--not the cheapest but def not the most expensive either. As with any project, there were unexpected costs and adjustments to the original scope of work, but Fredy and Paul always explained these in a very clear and nonpressured way. They also were very mindful of walking me thru a few options to help me stay within our budget. These guys are also SUPER efficient--not just with the hard work itself but communication as well. They got the demo done in a day and a half and kept the work site super clean throughout. I really appreciated how Fredy would send me regular video updates with verbal explanations of everything. This helped me make decisions quickly so we could keep the project moving as quickly as possible. Paul was always accessible to help me and my husband when we were struggling to make decisions on things. He was even kind enough to go shopping with me when we need to go find some tile for an outdoor bbq they were helping us rebuild. I also get a sense Fredy truly cares about his workmanship and will uphold his labor warranty. A week after he finished up, there was an issue with one of the pergola lights shorting out. On final walkthru, everything had been working fine so it was a bit perplexing. He very patiently helped me troubleshoot to narrow down the potential cause of the problem. When we ultimately couldn't figure it out together on the phone, he promptly came back. I'm not sure how, but he found this tiny pinhole (barely visible) at one of the joints which was allowing moisture buildup where the wiring was run. After our walk thru, it just happen rainstorm and water leaked in. He quickly fixed it up and everything was back to smooth runnings. I really appreciated that I didn't have to argue, plead or try to convince him of anything. He really gave me the impression that he just wanted to get it fixed as quickly as possible. I can't say enough good things about this team. I hope they end up getting a full general contractors license so I can do ALL my projects with them. read more

I've been involved in numerous renovations and remodels over several decades, and I can confidently state that Scapezone is the BEST concrete/landscape company I've ever worked with. They are capable of all types of landscape work, and I can't wait until I can retain them to build a pergola for me on the new stamped concrete they just completed. They were extremely professional and knowledgeable - and really a pleasure to work with. There are so many aspects to good concrete work and you have to really be sure you are comparing apples with apples when you get estimates. They taught me the difference between color hardeners vs. integral color - and trust me, these are questions you need to ask a concrete company, or you might be disappointed in a few years when the concrete color begins to fade. Most of the companies I got estimates from, didn't even bring this up! Nor did they discuss sealing, etc. Scapezone was the most prepared when they came to give me an estimate. They brought color samples and much more. It was clear in our first meeting that they knew what they were doing, but also that they cared about my job and that customer satisfaction really meant something to them. They also gave me a lot of useful information, so that I could compare estimates properly. I ended choosing stamped concrete with a color hardener, with various shades of gray/charcoal, and it looks fabulous! They started the job the day/time they said they would (which was a quick turnaround due to my time schedule, which they accommodated). Once they started the job, they worked through to completion. It was nearly a 1,000 sq. ft. slab and they brought an ample crew (every person was a true professional and I could tell they have worked together for many years) to properly handle the moving of dirt, capping sprinklers, leveling of the area, forming, installing drains, pouring, stamping and more. Their communication throughout was outstanding. Their pricing is fair and competitive - in fact, I'd say a bargain for their attention to detail. And when I changed my mind on the type of stamping just before they started, they didn't flinch. One of the company owners spent his Saturday out and about to find the stamping pattern I would like (they really know stamping and patterns!) That was a lot of legwork/miles for them, and I was thrilled that they truly listed and understood what I wanted in terms of shape, color, stamp design and finish. I have heard from many friends over the years that their concrete job starts, then stops, and often has a long list of problems. We didn't have a single setback - they were flawless. The owners' combined experience is well into many decades. I can't wait to work with them again. I recommend them without any hesitation. With the drought continuing, we could no longer maintain a grass yard. We had Scapezone lay concrete in the backyard plus add artificial turf while putting down rocks in the flower bed. It turned out great! We also did a desert scape in the front yard with drought tolerant plants. They also complained a wall to separate our property. We went from having the worst yard to the best!
