I was really wanting to love this pizza. I just moved to WF, and from the other reviews it sounded like it was going to be authentic NY pizza. Well totally missed the mark tonight. The crust was so tough and absolutely no flavor. Like it was cooked and then heated up two or three times. The toppings and cheese were good, but the crust is what makes a pizza. Cost me $30 and threw all but 2 pieces in the trash. Won't order from here again. read more

I am a pizza snob, and having just moved back here from a place where pizza is awesome, I was bummed that I couldnt find a great pizza place. I found some decent ones, and I found some less-than-stellar ones. Then I found Schiano's in Wake Forest. It was fantastic. Great crust, lots of cheese, and a fresh tasting, mild red sauce. My pet peeve with most pizza places in NC is that 1.) they dont use good quality cheese. and 2.) the over spice their sauce. This pizza was perfect. I also tried the "white pizza" which is rich and delicate. this one was one of the best white pizzas I have ever had. I am so glad I live close to this place. But its gonna hurt my fitness goals. read more

This pizza is ok. The slices are oversized which is good, but the sauce is bland and the crust is a little too thick. I hear they're from NY but this is not a good example of NY pizza. I'll stop in again if it's convenient but I won't be going out of my way to order from here. Our first visit was a take out lunch; we order a large thin crust pizza with sausage (Italian), pepperoni,ham and green pepper. We also ordered a large garden salad with ranch on the side. Although we ordered a "garden salad" we received a chef salad. Honestly the Hostess did show us our order, she was so nice I honestly didn't care! Update! We did receive a reply from the owner/manager re this experience, apologizing for how the staff interacted We ordered food Saturday evening, the order was called in approx 9:20 for carryout. It was 9:45 when we were driving over to pick up the order. The staff person called us as we were on the way asking if we were still coming, we advised we we're..he remarked "yeah well we're trying to leave man" with an attitude in his voice. The posted hours say you are open till 10. It wasn't 10 yet. Once we arrived he commented that Johnny had left, and we shouldn't go by the posted times. If I could give them a half of a star I would. First, they charged me extra for the deliver because it was outside of the 4 mile delivery radius but, they advertise up to 5 miles. Next, I order a "philly" cheese steak sub that was horrible. It was made with something similar to steakums and taste nothing close to real steak. And last, I ordered a 2 litre soda and they brought a 20 oz. With all that being said, I will never order from this place again and define let would not recommend to anyone else. read more

Went back to give their round/NY style a chance. The person behind the counter was nice, and the service was prompt and courteous, but the product is sadly sub-par. The huge slices are an interesting novelty, but the round pizza suffers from the same sauce problem as their Sicilian. It tastes like mass-produced, over-seasoned spaghetti sauce from a jar. Ok I cheated and started with dessert and I must say the Cannoli was amazing. So as I enjoyed this delicious cannoli I was tormented with the wonderful aroma of pizza. Wow! So far my favorite pizza in Wake Forest. The lasagna pie sounds like it would be really heavy, but it was a perfect balance between the creamy ricotta, spicy sausage (which was crispy on the edges), and perfectly seasoned meatballs. Forget this place !! I arrived at 11:01am today and tried to open the door and the guy could see me through the window and did not make an effort to open the door. I was there with my daughter. I left and I called the place 10 minutes later when I got home and a guy answered and I said that the place was not open at 11:01 and he said it is open now sarcastically. If you advertise that you open at 11am and your doors are locked then forget you. My time is as valuable as your time. read more

I wanted to try a new pizza place and found this on facebook. Its a small place so large groups can't eat in. However perfect for small group or just couples to dine in. Ordered pizza slice, drink and salad. The salad tasted fresh (not like it was in a freezer for days). Got my drink and pizza slice. The slice is HUGE!! Glad that I only got one as honestly it could be shared between two people. As for the drink, they only provide bottle/cans. Might consider adding a soda fountain in this location. Service was good, friendly and helped take my trash once I was done. I will definitely try this place again! read more

Just received my 12" Sicilian Pepperoni Pizza and am happy to say it is pretty good. Paid just over $19, so not too horrible for pricing. The crust had a light crispiness. Could use a touch more sauce, but still pretty good. Reminds me of Rocky Rococo from years back. Not quite Chicago style crust as it was much lighter. Being able to get delivery is a big plus. I was told it would be an hour, but it was much closer to 30 mins (so don't plan on leaving your house if you think you may have time!) I recommend you at least try it. read more

I'm a glutton for punishment. I live by myself and can't consume a whole pizza so I go in and order two slices since they sell by the slice. The last few times I have bought two slices I got old dried out slices. The last time I brought it back and they gave me a whole pizza for the inconvenience which was nice and it was perfect. Now I order two slices with mushrooms wait a half hour and bring it home to find two old overlooked old slices with mushrooms scattered on top. This is not the way to do business and I'll be damned to bring it back again! I'm done. I grew up in New York on Long Island and this is not good pizza or business. This place is awful. It cost a friend and me 20 dollars for 2 slices of pizza, 2 drinks and a cannoli. Also it took 20 minutes for our pizza with only 1 other family and an additional 15 for the cannoli. Called numerous times at 8:38pm and no answer on a Sunday night. I physically arrived at 8:45pm and Sign outside says open till 9pm). All employees (2 that I could see) were standing inside at the register with the lights off and door closed talking. So you don't answer the phones and shut the lights off over 20 min before closing and sit inside and chat till 9 but not take any customers. If there were a "0 " stars, option, I would have given them that... horrible. (Ended up calling mellow mushroom in wake forest at 8:55 (they close at 9pm as well on Sunday's) We said "its probably too late to order but can we?" Thay said absolutely and were chipper on the phone with good customer service... hopefully everyone reads this review and goes to mellow mushroom to support them for having awesome service on the same night 5 min before closing!) read more

It's seriously as good as it gets. The price was too low for what you get. We got nearly a half a pie for less than $8 with drinks. My wife and I ate here a week ago and I'm still thinking about the fabulous pie! It's the perfect spot for a relaxed lunch. We ate in and felt like we were at someones home. No frills, no fake decor just great, honest pizza & wings. We've tried every place in Raleigh/Wake Forest and Schiano's is by FAR the best pizza we've found outside of New York. Great first impression of this place. I have a child with a food allergy, and Carla went out of her way to spend ten minutes discussing options for him with me. The slices are HUGE and very good. We've had both delivery and eat in and have been pleased each time. We like the crust - the texture, the thickness and also like the sauce. If I had a suggestion, I'd like more veggie toppings. Schiano's doesn't have a dine-in atmosphere but the food and prices are good. Delivery was very timely with a very nice and friendly driver. read more

Only ever order pizza here. anything else is either going to be under cooked or disgusting. Pizza is pretty good but the price is a little high but you get about 1/4 of a pie. Eating in the tables are sometimes not cleaned. Service is hit or miss, some of the employees are super nice and quick, while others are rude and slow. read more

We have ordered from this place twice and they would have gotten a five star rating had somethings been corrected. First I will say the pizza toppings are awesome and fresh and the pizza is loaded with them. We ordered a supreme and the toppings didn't disappoint. The part the killed what, both times, would have been a five star pizza is the one thing that makes a great pizza great, the sauce. I should actually say the lack there of sauce. Completely dry and it almost tasted like there was none at all placed on the pizza. So we tried again hoping that maybe it was a one time thing. We even asked the second time for extra sauce five times when ordering. Well unfortunately we get the pizza home and no sauce or extra sauce as we asked. We called back to tell the Restaurant what had happened and we got really no apology or even a hey 5.00 dollars off your next order. So we won't be trying a third time, there are plenty of other pizza places in wake forest and Raleigh where there is sauce on pizza and if there is a mistake made at least an applogy and a comp for the not so cheap pizza we paid for read more
