Amazing flavors, great bread! Honestly all in all some very good sandwiches! Service was quick and good. Just wish the prices were a bit better. I asked for a mango passion fruit tea and unfortunately they were not serving it/out. Definitely a nice place to try out

Ordered on Yelp for pickup on Sunday at 7:00pm. Hours say that they are open until 9pm everyday. Folks were inside. Door was locked. I sat outside in the 98 degree Texas heat while irresponsible people laughed and joked. No one would answer the phone. No one would come to the door. This place and it's employees need serious customer service training. I got a refund, and my precious $$ is going elsewhere.

Great meal and had entire place to myself to eat. Nice TVs and spacious. Thanks. I don't like it when this app makes me keep writing in order to post a review. But ok.

I do not know why but I haven't gone to Schlotzsky's in awhile. They are as good as I remember. The sandwich was perfect. The value is excellent. The service is awesome. I used drive thru. My new go to

The food isn't amazing, but it's good and the service is great! It felt decently clean inside while nobody else was there on a Monday night.

Normally, I don't consider people from St. Louis to be credible deli evaluators, but I was desperate and made the hour drive to Grapevine. We got there at 11:15 and the line was nearly to the door. Within 30 minutes, it was well out into the street. That was a promising sign. The sandwich menu covered the entire wall over the counter. Lots of non-New-York sandwiches like Cubans, gyros, etc, but over in the left corner were the classic Ruebens and pastramis. I went for the latter. A REAL NY deli usually has a few soups like split pea and chicken noodle and matzoh. No soups. Bummer. They had a half dozen sides - 3 kinds of potato salads and a few slaws. I went with the German potato salad. The drink option was spartan - they tossed a styrofoam cup at me and pointed to the soda fountain. The pastrami sandwich was OK for Texas. A SUPER pastrami sandwich on hard rye can get me moaning like Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally" -- only I don't have to fake it. The German potato salad was watery and bland - I should have gone with the mustard potato salad. Turnaround was on the slow side. Napkins = paper towel roll on table. Flimsy plasticware. The overall vibe was affordable utilitarian. I'll give the sandwich a 4, everything else a 3. Next time I'll drive the extra half hour to Cindi's.

I made a mobile order and swung by on my way to the airport. When I walked in, it wasn't in their mobile order stand and there was no one at the counter. I waited a short time for someone to come from the back, and my sandwich was ready, but sitting packed up, behind the counter. Why have a mobile order pickup area of you don't use it? I ordered the turkey bacon avocado. It is a bit cheaper from the other chain sub shop in Grapevine, and I was interested to see how they matched up. First off, they added my pickles. I like pickles and it can slip past people's attention, as it is not a standard topping. The bread was soft and the sandwich was a good size. The bacon was nice and crispy, but I found the filling a little skimpy. The turkey was completely lost. The strongest flavors were provelone and bacon, but it is essentially a turkey sandwich. There just wasn't much of it. Nor the veg. Lettuce and tomato were just barely present. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't GOOD. Long gone are the days of $5 foot longs, but I do expect more for an $11 seven and a half inch...

Aside from that aspect the actual taste of the Caesar salad was good. 3/5 My daughter had the same issue with the chicken sandwich, she wasn't a fan because of that. The fries are basic, some were crunchy with a soft inside and some were very hard. 2/5 I am not sure we will return as the food is basic for an expensive price. I would suggest they at least offer some type of combo option to include a side and drink.

My husband's coffee, the saddle, nice, mild, not too strong, not too sweet, proper iced latte. On the other hand i ordered a cappuccino, basic, easy, shot of espresso and shot of steamed milk. I ordered it wil almond milk which results in less foam, from experience i know is more a latte than a cappuccino but thats to be expected. I got drip coffee with splash of milk in it. I asked my husband to check to make sure i am not out of line. He agreed with me. It was 12oz coffee with a splash of milk. None of that would be an issue but when i asked the barista/employee to remake it I was met with so much unnecessary attitude, that it repelled me to ever come back. I was told "I told you it has less foam with almond milk, that is literally not a drip coffee, it's from the espresso machine". I was stunned, not by the words but by the tone. I just walked away, not worth the time and effort to explain (from the photo you can see the color of my "cappuccino"). Overall: good food, great bread, coffee 50/50. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to go back. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. We always get the [Jumbo] Hot dog, which is not as big as you'd expect, but it's tasty. We enjoyed eating the Jumbo Chili Cheese Dog, Char-Grilled Maxwell Street Polish Sausage, and the Char-Grilled Polish Sausage. These are all the hot dogs we typically order. We're not fans of the Italian Beef Sandwich nor the Big Beef Sandwich; they typically have a lot of gravy in them. The Char-Grilled Italian Sausage Sandwich wasn't worth it. If you side the gravy and don't add peppers (an extra charge), you'd literally just get the bread and the sausage. The fries and onion rings are usually mediocre, but it's good served as a meal. It was one of those places you just kept going back to because the food was consistently great and it felt like a true Chicago institution. So when Portillo's finally came to Texas, I was thrilled. Let's start with the star of the show...the Italian Beef with hot peppers. It's incredible. Order it dipped and you will be in food heaven. And if you really want the ultimate Chicago move, make it a combo by adding the Maxwell Street sausage. That combination is absolute perfection. Messy, bold, and ridiculously good. Of course, the Chicago-style hot dogs are outstanding too. Just make sure you order it the right way and "drag it through the garden." That means the full lineup of toppings, just like they do in Chicago. It's the real deal. The sides are fantastic as well. The crinkle-cut fries are always solid, and the onion rings are super crispy and addictive. If you're trying to behave a little, the chopped salad is my wife's favorite. It's fresh, loaded with flavor, and honestly one of the best salads you'll get anywhere. And here's the surprise for people who haven't tried it...the hamburger is fantastic. Big, meaty, juicy, and full of flavor. I'll say it plainly. It's better than just about any fast-food or fast-casual burger out there. Bottom line...Portillo's isn't just another restaurant. It's a Chicago legend that delivers every single time. I'm glad Texas finally got the memo.
