The food was delicious as always. The service was on point! They have a new younger employee, I think his name is Charlie--he did an outstanding job. Stoped in here for a quick bite. Obviously there's nothing too special about Firehouse Subs. On their best day I'd still only give them 4 stars simply because they are a stock chain with nothing really stand out to offer. Hearty sandwiches made relatively quickly and some decent side options (chips and cookies). This location was average. My only criticism was that firehouse usually steams they bread and this bread was baked and toasted (a la Subway) for some reason. Not my favorite and not anywhere near as tasty as the previous option. Maybe this is something they are going to brand-wide. If so, I will be eating here even less. I love Firehouse Subs, but this location is awful. I've been 5 times now and each time has taken 15-20 minutes to make 1 sandwich when there was nobody in front of me. Today they had 4 employees "working" but one of them brought their kid to work and he was climbing on the counter and the others were hiding in the back on their phones. I want so much to like firehouse subs, I love the concept and the idea behind it, but the sandwiches are just subpar. The sandwiches at potbellys and Jersey Mike's both cost the same and are three times better. I got a hook and ladder today from firehouse and it literally just felt like I was eating lettuce and bread. The sandwich was 80% lettuce and looked like it had about three pieces of meat on it for an entire sub. The taste is not there, the proportions are not there, the subs are not there. read more

If you are looking for a really great sub sandwich, Firehouse Subs on Hwy121/Glade in Euless is the place. We have eaten at a lot of places but even my wife says "Best sub sandwich made." We eat Club on a Sub, Engineer Sub, Hook and Ladder and Turkey Bacon Ranch. All are fresh and delicious. Hard to try other sandwiches when we like the one's above. I have to withhold one star because of Covid protocol. They used to have about 30 bottles of hot sauces with numbers from 1-10 heat ratings. Ten being the hottest. Now they have about four options and they are prepackaged in single serve plastic containers. I understand why they can't have 30 and can't put bottles back on counter but we got spoiled. As I step through the door, I was greeted by all the emplyees. It would have been 10x better if they were all females, but that's life I supposed. Next thing I noticed was the huge fire house wallpaper followed by all the hot sauces with hotness number rankings on them. My saliva glands were pulsating like crazy at this point. A police officer entered right after me, which made it a bit interesting. I let the officer order first, so I could one up him by ordering whatever he ordered a size bigger or make it double if he was to order the largest size. As it turned out, he ordered a medium Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket sub, so I ordered a large version of that after him making sure he heard it as well. The sub was delicious as expected. The aroma was to die for. The brisket melted in my mouth gracefully. The BBQ sauce was sweet and comforting. The cheddar complimented the meat nicely, and the heat from the sauces made the sub 2x more yummy. Long story short, I sat in front of the po-po with my back turned against him, lined up all three number 10 hot sauces (got a bit of stares from other tables), and finished everything before him and left without a single tear from the sauce. The employees all thanked me on the way out. I'd highly recommend Vicious Viper sauce by the way. It had little to no impact to the food taste compare to the others. Today I watched the owner taking wrapped sandwiches and placing them into sandwich boxes (boxed lunch) and while she was carrying the sandwiches her hair was hanging down over them. The next trip with the sandwiches she dropped one on the floor and rolled across the floor, she proceeded to pick up and place into the box like nothing ever happened. At that point I was done. Firehouse Subs has some of the best sandwiches around right now. This was my wife's first time to a Firehouse Subs, so we were making another convert. I have many favorites here, but I decided to enjoy an Italian sub. This is one of my favorite combinations of flavors, even though the full sandwich comes in at over 900 calories, so I can not get it very often. My wife enjoyed a cheesesteak for her first visit. This location is right off the highway along the frontage road so it is easy to get too and there was plenty of parking. The staff was friendly, greeted you as you entered, and there was the normal short wait for your sandwich. I don't mind waiting just a few minutes to get a fresh, hot sandwich. read more

A breath of fresh air from the Subways and Quiznos all around. My wife and I showed up around 8:30 and were greeted when we entered. The place was very clean and there were only a few patrons finishing their meals when we arrived. I opted for the Italian and my wife decided on the turkey. I agree the Italian has a sweet taste to it, but I actually enjoyed the flavor. The quantity of meat on the sandwich will easily draw me back. A simple sandwich with a massive amount of meat is a thing of beauty. My wife ordered her sandwich "cold" and enjoyed every bite. The vegetables all tasted fresh and the soft drinks and chips really helped to hit the spot. Firehouse is my new sandwich shop of choice and I will return to try many other menu options. read more

Today I found a 3 inch hair in my sandwich. It wasn't just laying on the meat, IT WAS WOVEN INTO THE SHREDDED TURKEY, so as I would try to pull it out, it broke into two pieces. So I ended up gutting my sandwich and pulling it all out. I am VERY disappointed as this place is right by my apartment and I don't think me and my boyfriend will be coming back. I'm a fan. I've been a fan for quite a few years. I've turned many friends onto FHS over those years. I seem to have developed a rotating "favorite"- but it all began with the Hook & Ladder. Firehouse steams their meat and the bread is ultra fresh- this seems to be consistent everywhere I've eaten (Phoenix, Overland Park KS, Dallas, etc.) so that's a good thing. Each sub comes with a pickle and you can make it a meal for a couple extra bucks. It's a little more pricey than a Subway but you get what you pay for. Right now, I'm totally digging the #10- Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket. It's so damn good. Try it and you'll see. Firehouse Subs is also known for their collection of hot sauces. Each bottle is labeled (1-10) for its intensity. So if hot sauce is your thing you can order a sandwich and smother it with one of your favorites, or try something new. I prefer the house sweet pepper sauce- very delicious and compliments the Beef & Cheddar sandwich quite well. Great sub I had the Italian. Delicious hot and tasty. I love the coke vending machine that gives a huge huge variety of fountain drinks. Like mine was diet dr pepper with vanilla and Cherry. Staff was very friendly. Nice seating area a little cramped but clean and picked up. TV's at both end added a little background and viewing but quiet enough to talk. Bathroom very clean. First time at Firehouse Subs this afternoon, tried an Italian. The shop was 1/2 full, however no one else was in line. The assembly line (5 people behind the counter!) looked disorganized, and as it turned out they made just 2 sandwiches before mine and it still took over 10 minutes. A strike against, but something I'd overlook if the food were good. Unfortunately, the sandwich was a hot mess.
