Schlotzsky's in general is good, but the service here has been below par the few times I have been there. This time, it took us 40 minutes to get one small original sandwich. When asked, they explained that there were "other orders before you" (looked like catering) + when we wondered why other customers that came in after us were being served first, we were told they "called in their orders". Even if this were true, 40 minutes is unacceptable. Every time we were about to leave, we were told it was coming right up. Right. Plus, they were only obligingly cordial here. Not quite a 1 star rating though, because they were not rude exactly. Closer to a 1.5. Aside from this time, other visits were more like a 10 minutes wait, which is still longer than other locations, but acceptable. Maybe I am spoiled by the excellent customer service at other Schlotzsky's locations, but I don't really feel welcome here; grudgingly attended to would be a better description.

    Thank you Maria!!

I don't know how else to describe my experience here at Schlotzskys on Nacogdoches but the epitome of Great food, Great Service, in a sparkling clean restaurant! Thank you Maria and Jennifer for making it an outstanding experience. I'll be coming back!

Update May 26 They have such a clean place! They are the most conscientious Schlotzskeys team I have encountered! This is not the closest location to me but yhis is the one I trust to do it right! Schlotzsky's celebrates 45 years this year. It's a Texas original and I have eaten here alot over the years. I have a hankering for them every two 7 weeks or so, might go more but none of the locations are very close to me. This location is unquestionably the best in service and quality of five locations in the city despite it's shady look in a shopping strip that has seen better days. The windows are tinted so you cannot see anything inside but once you go inside it's inviting and homey. Zuri who took my order tonight is really nice. There is a Don's & Ben's liquor store next door and it is fun watching all different types of people walk in, like a Vegas pawn shop, some accidently walked in to Schlotzskey's thinking it was the liquor store.

    Kale and chicken salad. Beautiful!

This was my 2nd time visiting this restaurant. The 1st time I realized I didn't care for the sandwiches because of the bread. This time I figured I would try a salad. I chose the kale and grilled chicken salad. DELICIOUS. I made a few slight changes by adding some different veggies but the dressing is great salad was great. This is a large salad so I couldn't eat all of it while at work. So I sealed it up and decided to finish it at home. I tied the bag and put it in the fridge. When I got home I opened the salad and saw something move. Then out jumps this bug! Not a dead bug a fully functioning bug! I cringe at the thought of eating his family while I was grubbin on the other half of my salad. This salad is 8.49 plus tax so if u get a salad from here please be sure to really check your food before digging in. You dont want your money in the trash

The turkey club with Jalapeno Chips! I love it!!

Great sandwiches. Even a medium is enough for a meal! The service is good and on time.

I was in San Antonio for a work conference and somehow ended up at Dough two nights in a row…read more Honestly, after the first meal there was no way I wasn't coming back. The first night I was greeted by a friendly host and sat at the bar, where Billy took great care of me. He recommended the Cotto e Salsiccia, and I'm so glad he did. It was easily one of the best pizzas I've had. While I was there, the cheesemaker let me try a bite of the fresh mozzarella they were making in-house. It was still warm and absolutely delicious. The next night I was feeling a little homesick after being away for work, and all I could think about was that pizza. I walked back in and the host greeted me by name. I sat at the bar again, where another bartender remembered me from the night before, and Billy came over just to say hi. It seems like such a small thing, but when you're traveling alone, being welcomed back like that can completely change your evening. What really impressed me was seeing that it wasn't just me. The guy next to me ordered two pizzas to go, and when the chef brought them out he smiled and said, "Oh, Jose! I thought this order looked familiar!" You can tell they actually know their regulars and genuinely enjoy what they do. The second night I ordered the Fontina e Salsiccia, and somehow it was just as good as the first pizza. Everything is cooked in the wood-fired oven--even the wings--and you can taste the difference. The crust has that perfect char, the ingredients are fresh, and it's the kind of authentic Neapolitan pizza that keeps you thinking about it long after you've left. I've eaten at a lot of good restaurants while traveling, but very few have made me feel as welcome as Dough did. Great food is one thing. Great people are what made me come back the very next day. I'll absolutely be back the next time I'm in San Antonio.

When I asked why they have a hot plate shelf next to the entrance and that I burned my arm on it, the manager and greeter state? There is a sign! They took no responsibility for the ill placement of the sign! As you walk in, we saw several People back into the shelf to allow others to get buy! I can see a child burning their hand terribly on this! What did the restaurant do? Nothing... several times we suggested something be done and not until the manager realized that yes, this is a problem did he do something remotely responsible. I couldn't enjoy the food! I was upset? Hurting and taken back by the terrible way they handled the situation. For reference, I'll show you the picture with the barrier.

I am not being dramatic when I say this is the best Italian restaurant I've ever experienced. Nonna…read moreOsteria is cozy and intentional just like their menu. Every dish feels thoughtfully curated with tried-and-true recipes rooted in Chef Luca and his family's Northern Italian traditions. This is the kind of place where quality takes priority over quantity. Our server, Gary, was fantastic. He was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and passionate about Italian food and wine. His recommendations were spot-on and his enthusiasm felt so genuine. We started with a bread basket accompanied by a little sampling of tapenade, which was savory, briny, and a perfect complement to the warm bread. Came in with a group of four, we kicked things off with the burrata starter--a surprisingly fun and shareable adventure of baked burrata, fresh crostini, roasted cauliflower, asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, and basil cream. There was a lot happening on the plate, but it all worked beautifully together. For our entrées, we ordered the Tartufo, Cinghiale, Bolognese, and Carbonara. And let me just say, the Tartufo was a full-on dinner performance. Gary brought out steaming hot tagliatelle pasta and tossed it tableside inside a giant wheel of Parmesan. He then topped it with crab meat in brown butter before finishing it with a generous shaving of truffle. Every bite was like a perfectly timed symphony of flavors--rich, savory, buttery, and earthy, with nothing outshining the other. I'd put this dish up against anyone's nonna. I sampled the other three entrées as well, and every one was delicious. The gnocchi in the Cinghiale is an absolute must-try--pillowy, texturally delightful, and packed with flavor. Thank you, Nonna Osteria, for such an epic culinary experience. And a special shoutout to Gary for guiding us through the menu and making an already great dinner even better.

It tasted like fish dumplings, to be quite honest, which I didn't mind, but it wasn't what was advertised. The caprese was very nice and flavorful. Our server was nice and attentive.
