Wilted leaves I picked out and there were more

So upset with the salad I was given at this location. I drove 30mins to this location since the location closest to me (FM1960) never have the good cookies like other locations. I ordered Turkey Bacon Club w/ avocado $7.79 which was good no issues there. I also ordered the Turkey Avocado Cobb Salad added ham for later which was $10.79. I just opened my salad and was immediately confused about the boiled eggs, hell for a minute I thought it was crab meat. The eggs didn't look or taste right. I ended up having to pick out all the egg, tomatoes, and the avocado I paid extra for. As I was making my plate, I'm picking out brown/black wilted leaves thinking how messed up this is. This salad also comes with goat cheese right and here is where I drew the line of disgust the cheese had black/brown stuff on it like it was burnt. Now I'm no cheese expert, but I've never seen it like that before. Dude even gave me the wrong receipt lol. Decided last minute to take pictures and toss this up as a loss... because I refuse to get food poisoning.

My husband had the special with beef tips and linguine. I chose the fettuccine carbonara. What I liked most is that they had a normal and a small portion. Trust me the small portion was plenty. I just had to try one of those desserts. The coconut cake with pineapple sauce was on point and I took a few biscotti's that Roberta the owner suggested would go perfect with my coffee in the morning, They have a full bar and a nice wine list. Jayden was our server and was so pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed that the acoustics allowed me to actually have a conversation. If you are looking for a wonderful meal at a reasonable price don't miss Gianna's

They have a full bar. They have a wide menu. I got the special, which was beef tips in a marsala (Red wine) sauce, fresh mushrooms, barely cooked onions. It was delightful. My wife had Alfredo carbanara chicken, which also had a good flavor, they have a wide variety of desserts, all made in-house. Expect to oay around 20 for an entee -- lowest 10 highest 29. I think it's the water in NY that makes the pizza there so good. I found that even acceptable pizza in NY is head and shoulders better than the pizza here in Houston. But then I found Tony's on Louetta, by far, the best pizza in Texas. My search is over, and I'm now happy.

Now full transparency, my husband is a New Yorker, and by his standards it was average for NY pizza. But judging by my Houston palate I thought it was good. The calzone was my favorite. Adding the optional ricotta made all the difference. It took it from a 4 to a 7. The only downside was the pepperoni. I could literally count the slices and wished there were more. That said, the bread texture was wonderful, and that same great texture carried over to the garlic knots, which I really enjoyed. I think trying meatball, or a supreme (heavier on the meat) version would be fantastic. When I go back I'll that and be sure to update. We also tried the chicken parm sub. It was okay, though my husband thought it was subpar. Personally, I think the tomato sauce did a lot of the heavy lifting flavor-wise. Surprisingly, I really liked the cannoli filling, which says a lot because I usually don't care for cannolis. They often don't taste like much to me, but this one did. The inside of the place is very quaint and mom-and-pop, which I loved. Service was great. I ordered to go, was told 20-25 minutes, and the food was ready in about half that time. All in all, this is a solid pizza place for locals, and I'd absolutely come back to try more items on the menu. I want to try the original place and see if it's better. I mean, it should taste the same right? (Will update when I find this out).
