I dropped off my Countryman today for an oil change. Brady was assisting me. He told me that since my warranty was up, I would have to pay for the services, no big deal. He said the oil change would be $59.99 then to reset the computer chip it would be $142.00, which I thought was absurd. I asked if they could take a look at the alignment and he said "sure. It'll be on the lift already" I asked how much it would be and he said "no extra charge." Seeing how I could tell Brady waa taking advantage of me due to my small amount of knowledge for cars, I had my boyfriend come back with me (who is mechanically inclined). When we came back to the dealership to pick up my car, a very nice guy by the name of Nick helped us out. We spoke with him about the $142 charge and he said he'd call Brady and see what it was about. He came back a few minutes later and said it was for the alignment check. I told him about my previous conversation with Brady. Nick was apologetic that Brady "was not clear " and gave me a 15% discount. One of the best parts was, they were bragging to me about their amazing "world class inspection", I get in my car and the light is still on for washer fluid (which I was charged for)! Go back into the dealership and they fill my washer fluid. If the light was on as soon as I started my car, did the mechanic pulling my car up to me and just not care? Maybe he thought I wouldn't notice. Did they really do their "world class inspection"? Didn't look like it. So all in all, I paid $209 for an oil change. Way to take advantage of someone who doesn't know a lot about cars. Will definitely not be going back there again. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because Nick was so nice. read more

I arrived on time for my service appointment w a loner vehicle and was told that I would need to wait for loaner, they were low on inventory. Fine. Fifteen minutes later I hadn't heard anything and inquired when a vehicle would be available. I was told 20 more minutes. I explained this wouldn't work as I needed to pick up one child waiting for me at practice and deliver a carpool to another practice. I was offered a shuttle ride, but given my schedule and time deadlines that wasn't acceptable. Instead of apologizing or trying to help, the woman at the counter said "you"re just going to have to wait" Ah, wrong. I didn't make am appointment to wait 40 minutes for a car. Had I known this was throwing to be the case, I would have rescheduled for another time. I requested to get my vehicle back as I needed to go get my daughter. I got my car back, but NOT ONE employes apologized or expressed regret with my circumstances. Unaccpetable Sadly, this is not my first bad experience with service at this location. We have two bmw's and on two previous occasions I have been treated rudely by indifferent employees. Not the gold standard of service one would expect from a luxury car dealership. Took my 2013 328xi in for a few issues which they handled. I asked for the to perform a headlights restoration. They did but did an absolute horrible job, luckily they didn't charge me the $149 but the job they did made the headlights worse. There are deep scratches I bet won't come out. If your thinking of doing your headlights to make them look new, don't take it to Ralph schomp!!! You would think a car dealer like RALPH SCHOMP BMW would of took a little more pride in there work!!!! I don't think Ralph schomp understands that people are very busy with work kids etc... I took it twice because they never addressed my issues the first time. I had a whistling sound coming from my air when i turned on my heater or AC, the first time they said they couldn't hear it but the second I picked it up and turned it on, it whistled. They finally got it fixed but had to take it a second time and insisted there was something wrong, funny they also found a bad thermostat on the second visit but not on the first visit, so now they want me to take it a third time to correct the headlights. NOT RECOMMEND. I purchased pre-owned Hyundai Sonata from their BMW dealership. I was provided the work order of repairs done on this car prior to offer for sale showing routine maintenance like tyre, oil/filter changes etc.. The car had around 90K+ miles run so I was concerned about shocks as they were never replaced. I took the car for third party inspection and they also recommended shocks replacement considering 90K+ miles run, worn and some damage. But, at Schomp, I was assured that the damage doesn't effect the driving performance and is safe to drive. So, I trusted them and purchased the car. After running the car for approx 900 miles in 3 months,I observed few issues.. majorly related to shocks.I then took the car for checkup to the nearest maintenance store. I was told that engine oil and cabin air filters were very dirty and need immediate replacement. I was also told that its not safe to drive with current front shocks.. mostly worn out with some damage and should be replaced. I told that as per Schomp's work order Oil and Filter were replaced just 1000 miles back. Service guy showed me the dirty oil and cabin air filter and said if these were put just 1000 miles back then no way they get so dirty with this much of run. Anyways, I had no choice other than to change oil and cabin air filter and was charged $75. Front shocks replacement costs $840. Now, checking with Hyundai Dealership to fix backup camera issue. I also went to the BMW dealership and waited for 45 minutes at the reception. I was repeatedly told that sales staff is busy and will come out soon..but no one showed up even though I was seeing them talking from glass window. I even requested if anyone from sales/service team can just have a look at the issues in car... but in vain. I even left my name and number for callback with gentleman at the reception but as expected no response from dealership. Its unethical and those repair charges could have been avoided if the needed work would have been done well in time before selling the car but I feel those repair works were intentionally left due to cost factor and I was mislead. No customer expects to spend this much of money in repairs after purchasing car from a well known dealership. So, better go to some other dealership who truly stand by their words and car. read more

After many email exchanges, I picked up my 650i convertible and had a conversation with the service manager Mr. Joe Link, he told me that since the battery was considered defective under the BMW class action settlement for the "N63" defective engine and it needed to be changed with a larger and more powerful battery they went ahead and made the exchange under warranty. Upon checking out I was handed a repair order that stated the "Defective 92 AH Battery" was replaced with a "105 AH larger battery". Shortly after I left the dealership, I started to have electrical problems with car, however I had to attend a meeting and couldn't return to the dealership. After my meeting which lasted about two hours I returned to the vehicle and upon starting the vehicle I got a notification that said, "some of the electrical equipment in the vehicle had been shut down due to excessive power usage" (Not Exact wording). I drove the car across the street to a service shop only to discover that Schomp BMW had installed the same size battery as the defective battery they removed even though the terms of the court order stated "the battery had to be replaced with an upgrade". Furthermore, they even committed fraud by giving me a repair order that shows the battery was replaced with an upgraded battery which was a complete lie. When I contacted them, they said this was a mistake by the mechanic which I find very hard to believe since the installed battery is a much smaller battery and doesn't even fill the space where the battery fits! Furthermore, because of fraudulent steps taken by Schomp BMW and BMW Of North America to hide material facts on the defective "N63" engine in order to save money, many owners are left with a vehicle that has a defective engine, it is not safe to drive and has diminished value. Their actions have not only put my life but the lives of my passengers in danger and has caused tremendous financial hardship for many. DO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP. THEY ARE CROOKS. THEY WILL PUT YOUR LIFE IN JEOPARDY TO GET YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY. read more

I previously went to Murray for many years for my X3, as it was more convenient for me. I took it there multiple times for the same recurring problem with no resolution. The problem interfered with driving and caused me to get stuck in multiple places out of town. I decided to get a second opinion and went to Schomp. They were incredible. They listened to every word as I described the history and my frustration. They identified the problem. And they found a way to get it covered under warranty. They were respectful and collaborated with me to find the problem and the solution. I will always make the drive now to go there- new loyal fan! read more

Before converting to the new "tiered" approach to service, I had always been very pleased with each service experience at Schomp. Today, it is virtually impossible to speak with anyone other than the call center agent and, each time I have requested a callback, either the message was not delivered or someone failed to return the call. All of the bells and whistles are nice to have, but the basics, such as completing repairs thoroughly, are much more important to me. This morning, I'm sitting here with a new key that was never programmed, searching for two hours in my schedule that also works with Schomp's schedule. And this will be the third time. I started getting my service done at this location about a year ago. I've been really happy with it generally. It is easy to set up an appointment and my car is always been completed when they said it would. I had my tires changed and aligned recently with them and I've got to take it back in because it still pulling to the right and now my steering wheel shakes. My second visit to the service department was the polar opposite of my first experience, Beginning in November, 2012, my clock and computer settings failed and the TPM light appeared indicating low pressure in all 4 tires. I decided to make an appointment after the Christmas holidays which was scheduled on January 2, 2013. During the servicing of my BMW, I was informed that my battery needed to be replaced which cost nearly $400 and was promised that this would solve the problem. They also claimed to remedy the TPM issue by rotating the tires and checking the pressure. During this service appointment a $5 (my cost) valve stem cap was lost which was discovered later that night, by me, when the TPM indicator identified the right front passenger tire needed air. I had dinner with friends in Cherry Creek and on my way home I noticed the TPM light was lit when I started the engine, indicating the right passenger tire was low. When I found an air pump on this bitterly cold night, I noticed that valve cap was missing and that tire needed quite bit of air. When I brought this to their attention, the senior service manager became involved and argued for a solid 15 minutes about whether or not this was their issue. He did finally take ownership and replaced the cap, after I contacted BMW USA headquarters in New Jersey, to complain. This left such a bitter taste in my mouth that I traded it for an Audi and could not be happier with my decision. read more

Bought a 2018 X3 the end of August that needed a new windshield. Due to supply chain issues it was out of stock and I (understandably) had to wait on availability. Had the service scheduled for 12/1 then received an email saying there was a further delay of 3-5 days. Then the fun began of trying to reach someone in the service department to reschedule the appointment. After emailing and a half dozen phone calls/messages I finally got service scheduled for today 12/8 but as has been par for the course I can't get a return call or text to advise if the vehicle will be ready today. This is the 3rd or 4th vehicle I have bougot from Schomp, it is also the LAST! I understand issues relating to parts and hiring help but this goes beyond that - it is total incompetence and horrible customer service for what is supposed to be a high end automobile dealership. If you want a BMW go to the Denver dealership or Loveland even if it isn't't as convenient. read more

My husband and I came into this dealership prepared to buy a vehicle in cash. We were outside looking at the cars on the lot for at least 15 minutes. Thinking we somehow misinterpreted the glances of the salesman who looked at us and decided to turn and walk the other way, we went inside to the showroom floor. We continued to look at the car of intended purchase for the next 10 minutes. There were 4 salesmen standing around speak with each other, noticing our presence yet failing to even acknowledge us with a simple "Hi." We are a normal, middle-aged couple who was dressed in business casual; nothing alarming, no ski masks, etc. Yet the message was sent loud and clear to us was that we are not worthy in the salespersons minds to own and drive the BMW brand. I Created a Yelp account while sitting in the dealership just for this. I've been here 2.5 hours now waiting on a tire change. When I purchased my new 2015 X5 I also purchased a set of of winter and a set of summer tires. The dealership has a for fee service to store and change the tires seasonally. This is my fourth time now, and the prior tire change all resulted in damage to all of my rims. They did repair and re-paint them, while I was out my car for several days, with multiple trips to the dealership and hours spent waiting. I don't know if my rims are damaged this time. When I arrived today for my previously scheduled appointment, I was informed that they would check to see if the tires were on site. I explained I made an appointment ahead of time for that, needed to know since I had another appointment after, and was told that they should have them abut would check and let me know. An hour and a half later I was told my car was up on the lift, tires off, and someone was heading to the offsite storage in rush hour to get my summer tires. It's now been an additional hour and 15 minutes and haven't heard anything. Sadly, this is typical of every single service experience Ive had here. So I'm just going to start off by saying car shopping is a huge deal, and very intimidating no doubt. Especially at a big name deslership. These guys have a 0 nagotiation term, which I thought was crazy. But then you think about it who wants to sit there and argue prices back and forth on what a used car is worth. Hmm not me. I want someone to show me the facts of what a car is worth and from more then 1 resource. That's exactly what Jeff Tucker did for my fiance and I yesterday as we looked at a very clean ford edge. I have been to so many dealerships where they push me for being a female, and underestimate my answer no... Jeff Tucker explained thourouly everything on the vehicle to me. I had some questions that were basic and some that should be written in the hand book "buying a car for dummies". Jeff wasn't pushy at all asked us our needs, what we needed to know ect. Then it came to the paperwork and he was great with all that too. Giving us the best options. I can and absolutely will recommend Jeff tucker, as an expert to help anyone find their car their looking for. I feel that I need to write this review, it's been a long time coming. I bought a 2013 BMW 335 xdrive, F30. I bet that the car has been in the service department 20+ times. Often it is there for days at a time. I think that if I would have realized it at the time I would have labelled it a lemon and tried to get my money back. The tail light was falling out, they had to replace the engine fan, the turbo doesn't work etc etc. I have spoken to other friends and this seems to be the trend with BMW. However, I must have one of the worst. Bummer about it is, the car lost its value so fast that I am quite upside down with it. So in stuck. These cars do drive great, when they are not in the shop!! i noticed there was damage to my bumper after they provided valet service. the valet will take pictures of your car when they pick-up and drop-off. i asked that they pull the pictures to see if they in-fact caused the damage. The service manager, Matt Mueller, said they somehow lost them and couldn't find. He said they would go ahead and fix out of courtesy. i take my car back in, and they get a cost estimate of repair. he then accuses me of trying to fraud them. i have to now speak to his boss Steve Constable, he said everything would be repaired and satisfaction/workmanship would be guaranteed. when they did the repairs, whoever did they job scratched paint off bumper and now they are saying they won't repair the additional damages due to the crappy workmanship. this placed used to be great but now their standards of excellence have fallen off big time. they now have extremely terrible service and whatever make or model you drive i would highly and i mean highly not recommend you take your vehicle to them. read more

I made an inquiry online and Ace responded very quickly and was very easy to talk to, gave me confidence in Schomp right off the bat. He was very consultative and asked great questions to discover what car was best for me. Ace was influential without being pushy and I was confident (for once) in a good buying experience as I came in to the showroom to meet Ace and look at BMW's. I was greeted quickly and impressed with the physical setup of the dealership, felt great to be back in a high end, service oriented dealership. Ace gave some great recommendations and actually steered me away from my original car due to limitations I wasn't aware of (no rails on the top of car for crossbars/rack). The ultimate savings deal got me from looking at cars to buying a car on the spot. Phil downstairs was great in orienting me to the car and the "unveiling" was a nice touch. BMW offers were a huge part of me pulling the trigger so thank you to the dealer / BMW for those great incentives. My only feedback was that after I said lets buy this thing it took up to 2 hours to still complete the purchase. I know you were busy and I didn't mind but overall it dragged on a bit as Ace ran around to pull resources and get the car ready for me. I wouldn't have purchased without Ace, he was integral to the sale. Big thanks and I'll proudly keep my Schomp plate holders and advertise your dealer around town. I bought a preowned vehicle from Schomp and it was the worst car-buying experience of my life. They lied to me about the service needed on the vehicle and refused to negotiate the price based on upcoming service. They apparently used a sharpie to fill in the paint chips on the vehicle because it looked immaculate when I picked it up, but after I washed it, all the chips became visible. They also reset the TPMS sensor system. It showed a TPMS malfunction light 30 miles after I took ownership and when I visited a trusted tire shop, I learned that 4 of 5 TPMS sensors were dead. Apparently they reset the code before the sale. Eventually they offered $200 for this even though it will cost me $350 to replace the sensors. Lastly, they agreed to fix a chip in the windshield and do an alignment. It took them a week to do this. When I got the car back, the alignment was good and the windshield chip was fixed, but........ the license plate mount was broken. I emailed the sales manager about this and never got a response. You be the judge for my rating! After emailing back and forth, my wife and I went to Schomp (50 miles from we live) to check out the X3 we were interested in. We test drove it and decided to buy it. They told us what the final price would be knowing fully that we are going with our own financing. Then they manipulated us by saying that they can give us even a better rate than our own bank. I asked do we still get all of the discounts including BMW loyalty credit and financing discount. They said YES, you will get everything. We believed them and after 3.5 hours going through tons of paper work and providing them with all the info that they asked for (SSN, credit rating, bank info, insurance, etc.), we signed all the papers and were told the car is being washed and will be ready in 10 min. While sitting in the office and excited were thinking of where to go to celebrate our new car. THEN, this guy comes in and says you have to pay us extra $1,500. I asked why? We have already signed all the papers, you provided us with insurance card, temporary license plates, one set of keys and told we get the second set when they bring the car, and we are just waiting to pick it up! I don't understand why all of the sudden you are bumping up the price? They told us that we are not qualified for BMW loyalty discount! That is funny, I have been driving BMW since I was 18 years old and we even provided them with our current X3 VIN number and more importantly I had asked this specific question before even sitting down and they told us YES we are qualified for all of the discounts. My review has some highs and some lows. My situation was a little out of the ordinary since I bought the car w/o ever seeing it. I had been searching nationally from Seattle for 6 months for a specific used BMW, with specific color, interior, packages and price. I burned out 2 auto-brokers having them look and then eventually found the car myself at Schomp via Autotrader. The rookie sales person was very helpful and provided extra videos, pictures, service (Certified) documentation and original in-service paperwork. He was very responsive, got my deposit and had managers generate the sales paperwork...I paid cash and obviously no trade-in. This is where the service just started going down hill. It seemed to me that the closer we got to closing the deal the worse the customer service became. The sales person became more and more uncommunicative to basic questions. When I did speak to him his answers became more and more vague. My questions were things like; "will you FedEx me the executed paperwork?" "Will you contact me when the car is loaded on the transporter?" Both of which never happened. I had to call a sales manager, explain my frustration and he answered the three unanswered questions in minutes, calling me back twice to follow through. Bad customer service pisses me off. The Sales Manager saved the day (THANK YOU DENNIS) After taking a HUGE risk buying the car sight unseen (the deal was just that good for a BMW Certified car)....the car rolled off the trailer, was washed to remove 3 days of winter road grime and the car was stunningly in great shape. I purchased a $24K used car for my Daughter on Jan 12, 2018 and received a "We Owe" slip for a Visor Clip and they also said they would get me a plastic bumper piece. After a month I followed up and received no response from my sales person Marlowe. A week later I caught him by phone and he assured me he would follow-up. It is April 15th and still have not heard a word from anyone at Schomp BMW. I was curious because these parts seemed pretty basic so I looked and I found them on Amazon and had them shipped to me in 2 days. Yes, I had to pay for them myself and certainly shouldn't have but sometimes it is worth not having to deal with the aggravation associated with poor service and low integrity. There are lots of places to buy cars from in Denver and there are even more car salesmen. Do yourself a favor and find another dealership and and another sales person. read more

WORST experience I have EVER had with a car dealer in my 61 years! I made an APPOINTMENT for 2:30 this Wednesday to see a used car, only to find that after driving all the way from Parker, they sold the car out from under me, 15 minutes before I got there! And they did NOT have an appointment! Schomp cares about ONE THING, and ONE THING ONLY, to make a buck. And they don't care how they do it! The assistant GM mumbled a lame apology, admitting they have a lousy system for "appointments" (that aren't worth the toilet paper they're printed on) and I walked out, never having been given the chance to even SEE the car. BEWARE of WARRANTY SCAM: I bought a used BMW hybrid electric car one year ago, 2020. I was a bit hesitant about buying a hybrid, I was concerned about the cost if a repair was needed. The salesman sold me a pre-owned warranty for the electrical system that he guaranteed would cover the hybrid system from "the plug to the batteries". You can imagine with that guarantee, I was not terribly concerned when about a month ago there was an "error" when I plugged my car in. In every other way the car was functioning without difficulty and I could have continued to drive it using gas indefinitely. I was quite surprised to get a call from the service department that the fix was NOT covered. Apparently it was a problem with a battery that communicated with the hybrid system, not the actual hybrid system. That was their excuse at least. In my mind, a battery that is needed to make the hybrid system work IS PART OF THE HYBRID SYSTEM. I was furious and argued my case to the service department who passed me to the sales department. I talked with the salesman, Jeff, as well as Jeff's supervisor. There was nothing they could do. I asked to get a refund on my warranty, but they could only give it back at a "prorated" refund. I agreed to this at least, and I am still waiting weeks later to complete the paperwork and get a solid answer on the amount of the "prorated" refund. They have not returned my repeated emails, texts, and phone calls. I partly blame my naivety for trusting a car salesman in the first place. However, it seems unfair they can sell people a service that does not actually live up to what was advertised without consequence. I will certainly never buy another car there again. It's a big purchase, and I think it is important to do business with people who are honest and trustworthy. read more
