The owner, mechanic and employees of Scootermax are THE BEST in Orlando! My friend bought a 150 cc Scooter on Craig's List and a week later it quit running and sat for a month before I came across the BEST team of professionals in all of Central Florida. They took Jeremy's scooter right in and gave it a full checkup from top to bottom. They ended up replacing the carburetor, intake, all the fuel lines and filter and about 10 other things he did not even know were wrong. I was bracing for the bill and a full day's work with pickup only came to about $200. I don't know how they were able to work their magic but they did and he is one happy kid! I love that they always have all the parts in stock, are friendly, courteous and NEVER let a repair leave their shop without a full safety check. If I ever need a brand new scooter or repairs this is my one stop shop! I am a customer for life and I strongly encourage you to drop by and check out their selection. BIG FAT ZERO! There are other places to buy a brand named scooter. Avoid this place like the plague or you'll be like many fighting to get your scooter fixed, keep it from coming apart while riding around and waiting for tags. I bought their "best" scooter. It ran great for the first 500 miles and then went to crap with lights shorting out, smoke coming from under the speedometer, main frame bolts coming loose and falling off. Many, many trips back begging for it to be fixed. I finally disputed it on American Express and, after months of battling, I WON and gave them back the scooter, took my money elsewhere and was never happier with a decision. read more

This place is nothing but a joke. 2 days in a row you show up there during business hours and it's locked up. No one is there. Today at 5:16 pm it's locked up with a sign that says he's at lunch. They close at 6pm. The guy there who claims to be a mechanic does not know what he is doing. Don't really know how he is still in business doing it this way. You have conversations with him about something and if you talk to him another day about it he basically calls you a liar and says that he never said that. I would not recommend this place to anyone. From now on I will be taking my business other places. I would of not bought the moped from Him when I did if I would have know how he was and the kind of business he does. If you want to do business with him then that's on you. I would advise going somewhere else first. If he tells you something talk to other dealers to see if they tell you the same thing. I am very disappointed in the type of service I have received at ScooterMax after my purchase. Two months after my purchasing of a scooter the scooter starts to give me problems and stops running. I contacted Alfredo and expressed my concern all he told me was to stop running the scooter at full speed. That wasnt the issue, the issue was it kept shutting off on me. Then I was unable to use it after only two months of having it and I had to let it sit until I was able to rent a U-Haul to bring the scooter to Alfredo because they wouldnt even come out to me to check it. Then I brought the scooter to ScooterMax paid $126 (just labor) for the scooter to be repaired and when I got it back it still was shutting off on me. Someone in my family looked at it and noticed I had bolts missing after it being "fixed". I called to express my concern and I just questioned as if I was the one who messed up the scooter and them trying to point finger at me. The customer service is not all that great and just to think that I was going to make another purchase and tell my friends to go here to purchase. I will never make another purchase from this guy. read more

I gave them the benefit of the doubt until the end...I admit...I was wrong. The first clue I should have got was when I went to Scooter Max to buy the scooter. I went during their advertised business hours only to get there to see a sign...'went to DMV..call xxx.xxx.xxxx.' I called the number on the sign and the owner said he was at the DMV but would be heading back in a few minutes. 45 minutes later...he finally showed. We went in and looked at the scooters in the showroom... we had a few questions, but he asked if we could wait a minute so he could help 2 guys that just walked in the door asking about parts. This ended up taking 30 minutes...so we just sat there waiting for them to be finished. Despite all this...we ended up buying an ADLY 50 that day. He was pretty nice about everything...visibly un-organized, but we ended up getting the scooter as a gift for my daughter that day. During the process he explained that we would have to come back to pick up the tag, he would call us when it came in...and we left satisfied. About 2 weeks later I called and told him we were having problems with the scooter. It would cut off at low speed or die if you gas-ed it too hard. He said it probably needed a quick carburetor adjustment, for us to drop by he would take care of it. Since I live 45 minutes away, we decided to wait until we went to pick up the tag...assuming he should have it within the week or at least the week after. Well the temporary 30 day tag was about to expire in 2 days so I called him...since he didn't call me. He told me that they just got broke into last night and they are cleaning up the pieces....for me to go ahead and come down and they will have the tag for me when I get there. I told him I would be there in 2 days. I show up 2 days after talking with him and tell him I am there to pick up the tag and have the scooter adjusted. He and ( I assume it was his wife) start looking for my paper work and tag. They find it sitting in a yellow folder...still on top his desk. He hadn't even taken the paperwork to the DMV to file for the tag and registration. I was pretty upset and he tried to explain to me that they got broken into...etc...and I was very clear... 'you got broke into 2 days ago...I bought the scooter 31 days ago.. and my paper work is still sitting on your desk.. plus you told me on the phone 2 days.. you would have my plate for me when I got here.' He apologized, and re-certified me with another 30 day temporary tag and said he would get it done this week and mail it to me. I asked him if I had to pay for that...(there is a sign on the wall that having the tag mailed is extra), he said not to worry about it...it would cover any of the cost since they didn't have it for me. He even verified the address was correct that he would be mailing it too. He then went to adjust the scooter. He ended up pulling off the seat and compartment from the scooter before he realized that the Adly 50 had an access cover right by the rider's foot. It was a little shocking to watch him work for 20 minutes taking parts off just to find out he could remove the quick access panel in 10 seconds. Again, despite all this I ended up buying a scooter cover and trunk...and again.. left satisfied. Here I am now...the second 30 day tag expired 2 weeks ago. I called Scooter Max remind him of all this...and he asks me to call back in an hour.. he was somewhere he couldn't hear very well. I ended up calling him about 2 hours later and he said I have the plate but you owe $19.50. I told him...I paid the tax, tag, and title fee when I bought the scooter. He said.. that fee is only and estimate... if they charge him more... he charges me more. I remind him of everything I wrote above... and it doesn't ring a bell with him. I end up paying over the phone to get the tag. Dang Scooter Max. Selling scooters isn't my business.. but I bought another scooter for my wife and I went to the DMV that day. They handed me the Plate at the counter and mailed me the registration a few days later... and I still don't have the plate from you. I could have avoided all this buy just listening to my gut either the first time or even the second time. This is my experience. read more

WARNING!! If I could leave -5 stars, that would be too good for this place. I bought a 150cc scooter from here in January 2017 and have had nothing but problems with it since. I bought it via American Express and put in dispute several times. Each time I removed it from dispute status, I regretted it and ended up bringing it back again. Finally, I returned it and I am done. Here's just some of the issues I have had with this scooter: lights turn off when you hit a bump, smoke coming from behind the speedometer, parts falling off, harness melted, some lights never work, and finally, two of the four main rear bolts fell off and the top speed is about 20mph. I bought this for my child and there is NO WAY I would let them drive it. It is a poorly assembled, dangerous piece of junk. There are many choices in scooter stores. Buy a name brand from someone else. Why take a chance?! read more
