Came here midweek for an early dinner. Restaurant seemed busy, but not crowded. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and knowledgable about the menu. I was in town on business. I saw this when I was on the way to my hotel. The people were all very friendly. The service was fast and they checked on me very frequently. I had the steak and potatoes. One of my favorite places to eat in Lititz. I get the California turkey wrap with fries every single time - ingredients always seem so fresh! My husband and I were craving a burger & beer desperately after a long hot summer day of work. Headed to Scooters for the first time after moving to Lititz two years ago. Sunday 7.14.19 @ 2:30 pm sat at the bar BEST BURGER in a while, WORSE service EVER!!! In the hour time we were there on a not so busy afternoon the bartender hardly bothered with us. Four other people refilled our beverage, took our ordered and carried our food. The only time the bartender even partly acknowledge or half smiled was when handing us our check. Despite a dated atmosphere inside (but who am I to judge their choice in decor?), Scooter's offers delicious food. Our party of four was very pleased with our experience here. We made a reservation beforehand considering it was a Saturday night, and as expected, the place was crowded. We were able to sit outside on their covered patio which has a fireplace. Our server was attentive and speedy. I had the 6 oz filet mignon and crab cake dish; both were very good. My crab cake had actual crab meat in it, unlike most restaurants that try to pass off a lump of breading as a crab cake. Another in our group had the special that day which was a seafood bouillabaisse and it was said to be excellent. Next time we are in Lititz we will definitely be coming back! read more

I have eaten dinner here a couple of times in the last year or two. What's good? Classic Combo-Wednesday is steak night at Scooter's. The Combo includes NY strip steak with good hot and crispy fries and a Caesar salad. Southern fried chicken salad - Mixed greens,cheese,fried chicken pieces along with those good fries. The sweet vidalia dressing for the salad was so good !!! The prices were reasonable and the waitstaff have always been very nice. I will probably stop back again soon. read more

I am new to this site and was amazed that Scooter's wasn't rated 5 stars! We eat at Scooter's regularly and it is one of our favorite local restaurants. We have never experienced rude or unfriendly staff - the staff has always gone above and beyond the type of service that is typical in all too many restaurants. As far as the food, we have tried many many items on their menu and a lot of their specials (the specials are usually very intriguing) and have had nothing but EXCELLENT food. The only "negative" experience was an appetizer (spinach & artichoke dip) that wasn't very warm in the center. Server was extremely apologetic and accomodating and appetizer was returned in minutes piping hot. Menu includes typical items but also has some very unique items including Philly cheesesteak eggrolls, Philly crab pretzel, kettle chips, Chicken Crissfield (one of our all-time favorites), French Onion Steak. Have LOVED all these items and more. Don't be discouraged by the several negative reviews. We go out to lunch and dinner A LOT and have NEVER had bad food or service at Scooters! read more

I work close to this restaurant, but haven't had the best food experiences there. Yesterday was no exception. I ordered the sea scallops ... they came with what resembled a melted hockey puck of mozzarella cheese over them, which was almost impossible to cut through. I resorted to pealing it off, along with all the bacon which was melted into it. Cheese on scallops? Why? I followed up with a Salmon BLT on multigrain. It arrived and looked great, but as I went to pick it up, the entire bottom of the sandwich was lying in a pool of liquid - completely soggy. It was impossible to even pick it up ... this dish did not even come with anything of a liquid nature. I resorted to just eating the salmon/lettuce/tomato - the salmon was at least perfectly prepared and our waitress was very friendly. I will not be going here again. read more

Scooters is a long time favorite in the Lititz area. They serve American pub fare, from pasta dishes to steaks to personal pizzas made on the premises, to more traditional American fare. They have a little bit of everything to satisfy a wide range of tastes. I almost always get the Southwest Pasta there. A tasty concoction of blackened shrimp and chicken in a creamy southwest sauce over a bed of Penne Pasta. I loved that dish so much that when we moved to New England, my wife called the restaurant to get the recipe for my birthday. Someone at Scooters was more than happy to provide the list of ingredients for her to pass along to me as a gift. I've tried to recreate the recipe at home to limited success. Now that we're back in town, I've gone back for the real deal. Scooters also have a list of tasty mixed drinks and fun (but standard) desserts. I've had other menu items as well, and they've been just as tasty. The service has always been friendly and fast, the presentation is pretty darn good for a restaurant in this price range, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Scooters is a great choice for an informal meal in the Lititz area. I would recommend it to anyone. read more

What's with all the haters in here? Scooter's is as good a restaurant as any small town could hope for! I'm not much of a drinker, so I'll concentrate on the food and atmosphere. The food is terrific, and I think above average for tavern-style. There's quite a variety, from American to Mexican to Italian, and it's all made with special touches you won't find anywhere else. They've opened up a new section (The Patio), in a space outside and to the back. In the Fall it's heated with propane heaters and a huge fireplace, which is both interesting and unique. The wait staff are courteous and keep my tea topped off - that said - you will wait a bit for the food. Either they have the slowest microwave in existence, or they are actually making the stuff from scratch (I'd bet on the latter). I always expect to blow 45 minutes to an hour here - this is not fast food! Weekends and evenings are crowded - expect to wait outside for a bit on a Friday or Saturday night. Favorite menu items: - Southwest Chicken. Spicy cajun style - can be ordered without the shrimp. - Chicken Alfredo. Similar to the SW Chicken, but not spicy. - The soups - ANY of them - all are excellent! - Kettle Chips. Probably considered illegal by the Food Police - GREAT! read more

We were told we didn't have reservations when we went in at 5:00pm, and would have to wait to "put our order in" because the kitchen was swamped. We waited for 40 minutes just for appetizers. It's kind of ridiculous considering the restaurant was only half full. The food was okay (seafood was seriously over cooked), yet the service is seriously lacking. Bad management altogether. Scooters is one of those places in Lititz that has its own familiar patrons. We've gone in on Tuesday night for their build your own burger at the bar. Huge burger and at 5 bucks a great deal!! Add fries for I think a buck!! The beer selection is very typical for the miller light crowd. Maybe one craft brew tap? Bottle selection could also use some new additions to cater to the craft beer crowd. If you can, try the Buffy's chicken sandwich. It's awesome. Overall the food is pretty good, but the lack of good beers keeps us from going in more often. I want to give a fourth star, but I gotta have good beer!!! read more

I have eaten at this restaurant several times (other people seem to enjoy average service combined with sub-par food). Every time I have been here I left disappointed. The second time I ate here I got a burger ... Who can't do a good burger? Well, they can't. The food is slightly palatable and the atmosphere feels "sticky". Always wanted to try Scooters, finally did on FRIDAY night. Although busy the service was reasonably quick. Sat outside on the porch, warm out , but they had fans running, and I found it nicer out there, a lot less noise. Ordered "main meal salads", assured by the waitress that they were really big. Not really, average size salad. Both were good. In all food was good, giving a 3 for atmosphere that really needs updating, and an exaggerated idea what a big salad looks like. read more
