    Singapore Salad

Finally starting to feel like spring, so sitting in the cover patio area was perfect. The hostess and server were very friendly and attentive. No complaints in the service department. I was rather disappointed with my salad - the size, the quality of lettuce and quality of tuna. I would have considered this more of a side salad instead of an entree. The description sounded lovely, but sadly amiss. It was a bowl of yellow chopped romaine, not a "large bowl of mixed greens." The tuna did not have the appearance or taste (very bland) of "premium sushi grade pepper tuna." It was seared rare, so that's a plus. I had a few chopped red peppers, sliced almonds, and mandarin oranges, but there was no shredded crunchy cabbage. I needed ordering a small side of fries because I was still hungry :(

Stopped here on a Friday evening and we were pleasantly surprised. The drinks were sooo good. We sat out on the patio and watched it rain. It was a perfect evening. Our service was so good! The stat of the show was the French onion soup for sure. The wrap was on special and it was very good and fresh! I'd recommend this place to anyone! We had a great experience!!

Great cozy atmosphere, with a fire burning on the enclosed porch. We sat at the bar, as we usually do. The service was great, drinks made very well and the food was delicious! I will definitely be back!

Past reviews stand. . . Good food, attentive service and fun atmosphere keep us coming back. Recent fish dishes have been amazing, like tonight's shrimp glazed with sweet chili Thai sauce.

Not sure if the restaurant area is open after 9pm so we sat at the bar. The kitchen closes at 10 the bartender informed us but then never turned around again to take our order 15 mins later... My coworker finally asked her if we could order, I was worried that we wouldn't get our food order in time but we made the cut While we waited for our food we order drinks, I had a bourbon & coke...it was made in a regular sized glass so all I had was pretty much soda with a splash of bourbon. Most places usually have it in smaller glasses to not dilute the alcohol. They had a new item on menu called firecracker shrimp.... Nah I didn't really enjoy it. I don't recall it being breaded shrimp on the menu & there was just too much sauce.

I could have made this food at home. Seriously. The salsa I ordered very obviously came from an UTZ salsa jar. Nothing mind blowing here.

Enjoyable cocktails too (themed around musical artists, for the most part). We mainly ordered individual pizzas at the table - spicy calabrese and truffle mushroom pizzas among them. I tried both and would recommend either. The truffle mushroom pizza wasn't overwhelmed by the truffle oil and was well balanced with herb ricotta and arugula. Comparatively, the hot honey, roasted red peppers, and red onions on the spicy calabrese pizza offered a balance in texture from the crunch of the onions - and just a hint of kick from the hot honey. Delicious. There's a walkway behind the dining area that includes photographs from some of the tours and shows that Rock Lititz has helped with the stage design for, which is also fun to see. I can assume this place can get pretty packed at times, but it was very chill during our visit and I only wish I had been able to go back again for bunch or dinner or something. Maybe on my next visit!

The setting is absolutely beautiful. Their outdoor terrace overlooks a scenic garden area that looks like it might even host weddings--it's that picturesque. The ambiance is peaceful, charming, and ideal for a relaxing weekend meal, whether you've just finished a bike ride or are simply looking for a quiet dining spot in Marietta. The menu had a lot of fresh, well-crafted options, and the cocktail list was fun and inventive. I tried the lavender lemon drop, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well the lavender complemented the classic citrusy flavor--an elegant twist on a traditional drink. For dinner, I went with the jalapeño cheddar burger, which was flavorful, juicy, and made with noticeably fresh ingredients. The fries were crisp and satisfying, while my mom and sister-in-law each opted for different sandwiches paired with house salads. They raved about the house-made vinaigrette, which had a fresh, tangy balance. We also started with the whipped feta dip and gouda mac and cheese--both were delicious. The feta was creamy and flavorful, and the mac had a rich, smoky bite to it. Our Entrees looked so delicious that I forgot to snap a photo beforehand. Service was excellent. Our waitress was knowledgeable about both the food and drink menus, and her suggestions were spot on. In terms of value, I was really impressed. With so many places these days serving tiny portions at high prices, Railroad House Inn stands out as a restaurant that delivers quality, fresh ingredients, and generous portions at a fair price. All in all, this was a five-star experience. Great food, beautiful location, warm service--I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area, especially after enjoying the nearby Northwest Lancaster County River Trail.

Thankfully Mad Chef was open later than most places so we got in before the kitchen closed. I enjoyed the low lighting with the brewery equipment shining in the background. Having the Phillies game on the tv's only added to our experience. Our drinks and food were excellent. I always like to enjoy a local craft beer, having it paired on site with fabulous eats is even better. I ordered Mr Dynamite Brown, their American brown ale which was fabulous. We ordered a small Pommes Frites (French fries) that were cooked in Canola oil. While light in color, these fries were cooked to perfection. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, salted just right. My wife ordered the pretzel and said it was her type, buttery, salty, and doughy. I ordered the Korean Pork Nachos, by far the best nachos I've ever had the pleasure to devour. I can't begin to describe how well the roasted corn poblano medley brought this plate together. Every bite had an explosion of flavor with the Korean glaze and Gochujang aioli. This dish blows Guy Fieri's trash can Brisket nachos out of the water. If ever in Lancaster don't pass up on the Mad Chef Craft Brewing gem.

This was a delicious sandwich that just screams Georgia! We also tried the Madfather Chicken Sandwich! Pesto, Vodka Sauce, Mozzarella, this thing was outstanding! The fries are always a highlight here! We got the bucket (had a bigger group) and it came with 3 sauces. 1 tiny little knock on the fry bucket....the entire bucket was not filled with fries. The bottom of the fry bucket had about an inch or 2 of crinkled up paper..... All of the food was outstanding. The beer was good. Tons of space and seating. Very easy ordering process. Came here on a Monday just after 10:30am and they honored our breakfast order. The lunch menu starts promptly at 11am so this was really nice of them. The place is so cute! It's got a country/hipster vibe. I was pleasantly surprised that they had a bar! :) My one issue with breakfast was that I asked for butter and was given butter packets. We came here thinking we were having fresh Amish butter, nope! - What a disappointment! Ugh. The reason why I'm giving this place 3 stars is because of the weird smell. Walking in I thought maybe we walked in right after a gassy person but as we walked through the restaurant to the back the smell was still consistent. We got to the table and the smell seemed to go away or at least we got used to it. At one point I had to use the bathroom and while walking around to find it, the smell hit me first. I was able to smell my way there. Once walking out I was sick. My husband also had to use the e bathroom but the smell was too strong for him so we went stopped elsewhere. The place has a smell that's a mixture of plug-ins and poop. It's the weirdest thing. I'm not sure if they were having sewer issues today or what happened. It seemed like they were definitely aware of the issue because the smell of several plug-ins or air fresheners was obvious. I'd like to give this place another try since the ambiance, food, and staff were all great but the odor is a dealbreaker for me. I guess I'd have to go back & see if this issue gets resolved, if not, I would not stay a second time.

As far as cocktails, I've tried the blackberry bramble, which is deep and flavorful; raspberry lemon drop that is bright and mildly sweet; and had the cherry cheesecake from the winter menu and enjoyed the fresh flavor with a rich finish. The beer list is also very good with offerings from Dewey Beach, Troeg's, and other craft breweries. I feel Brickerville House is consistenly a great value for your money. It's a comfortable place to meet friends and it's also good for kids.
