May 13, 2023 Nestldown, Los Gatos…read more Ric & Rose are the perfect videographers for our Nestldown wedding!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Every piece of the video has the natural lighting we were looking for. We can't help but keep smiling as we re-live the beautiful day. From very first booking our Nestldown wedding in 2019, to looking through multiple videographer's styles, to choosing Grover Films, to postponing our wedding from 2021 to 2023, to all the emails back & forth, to the phone calls to make sure we have everything we need, to finally meeting in person & loving every minute of working with this couple.... they have been so professional, kind, & understanding through this entire journey. My husband & I truly appreciate their time & letting us move our May 2021 wedding to May 2023 because the Pandemic. Each of the precious moments they've captured at Nestldown will be cherished by so many people for all the years to come. It's amazing we got to work with them- they knew all the great spots- including the lighting! So easy to work with & let us know exactly what to do so we could get multiple shots to choose from later. You helped us throughout the whole process- giving us options, showing us where to go for the lighting & different backgrounds, having us be ourselves & get candid shots. From getting ready in the Guest House, to the First Look with my Dad & then my husband, to the ceremony site, to the Cocktail Hour, to the Reception, to the special dances & cake cutting, to the Grand Exit....our amazing wedding video reflects on how great of videographers they are. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. We value your photogenic eye in helping us capture so many special moments of our big day! You captured the essence of our love for each other & for the outdoors all in a single day. And we look forward to working with you again! Thank you so much. With love, The Goldsmiths

They made our wedding day at Beaulieu Garden feel like a total dream. They truly captured our wedding day in the most special way. They were the kindest and I really mean KINDEST vendors we worked with. The film we received from our wedding day left me speechless. The quality of video was also stunning. I have watched it countless times and am so excited to share it with our future family! I could not recommend them enough. I would give them 10 stars if I could!

Coco is awesome!!!!!!!!!!…read more When we were researching wedding photographers, they all fell into three basic groups: Expensive+Awesome, Expensive+Boring, and Cheap+Boring. All except for Martinography! There's a whole new category of one: SuperAffordable+SuperAwesome. I am so sick of standard wedding photos. Boring colors, boring lines of people, and HOURS of boring standing around getting paired up with different combinations of the wedding party. Boo! I wanted tons of color, creative poses, and candid shots. Coco brought it! I knew she was special as soon as I saw the pix on her website, but it was fantastic to meet with her in person and look through her fun portfolio. A previous reviewer wrote here that "When Coco and I met, I instantly like her--I think its hard not to be magnetized to her passion and zest for life". That captures her in a nutshell. I'm going to make the same joke here that I made the whole time we were engaged: if I hadn't married Annie, I'm pretty sure she would have married Coco! Everyone at our wedding who met her told us what a delight she was, which is important. Photographers can be invisible or fun or both, but you don't want people telling you how off-putting or bossy or unpleasant your wedding photographer was to them. No worries here! She even took some videos with her camera, which I forgot was a possibility. Or maybe I just wasn't paying that much attention when we met because I had already made my decision. It was an incredible blessing though, because we had the most awesome wedding dance ever - we rickrolled the entire wedding, live - and the people who were going to record it had to leave early. And then it appeared on our wedding photo cds, along with video footage of our opening and closing and vows. (Clearly not as important as the DANCE....) Coco should be charging three times what she charges. We paid (ok, my mom paid as her gift) something around $400 for what was supposed to be three hours if I remember correctly, and Coco even stayed longer out of the goodness of her heart to capture our dance. But I didn't want to tell her she should raise her rates till after we paid! She has a day job in Silicon Valley and does the photography because she loves it so much. Why not just do what you love, is what I say! (I suppose she must love her day job too, but it's hard to imagine her in an office.) Magnificent! I am so glad that I found her through Yelp forums and so glad that we chose her.

In our search for the right photographer for our wedding, we wanted to find someone who would be…read moreable to capture candid moments as well as posed shots, and someone who was familiar with our wedding venue. When we met the group at The Great Bridal Expo, we were impressed with their portfolio and with how many people were gathered around their booth. We mentioned where our wedding was, and Van grabbed one of their albums to show us exactly what we could look forward to since they had worked a wedding at our venue in the past. He quickly gained my trust with his knowledge of the area. Shortly after attending the Bridal Fair, I contacted Michael's Wedding Group to ask some more questions. Sue responded to my email within hours of sending it! She really is great at communicating with their clients. Although I do love to look at beautiful engagement photos, I didn't want our session to be by that one tree at that one park. I imagined something different and more fun. We originally chose to have our engagement session at The Color Factory, but we weren't able to get tickets to any of the slots. We did, however, manage to snag some tickets for the first week that The Museum of Ice Cream opened in San Francisco. Sue was very patient as we tried to coordinate all of our schedules while we tried to get the super coveted tickets to MOIC. Michael met us at the Museum of Ice Cream and we had the best engagement session I could imagine! It resulted in a lot of awesome pictures, delicious treats, and we felt really comfortable while having our pictures taken at a public place with lots of people watching. Van and Israel were our photographers on our wedding day. I sent them an extensive list of must-have photos before our big day, and they were able to capture everything and more! Van was very efficient and has a great eye. Israel was our second photographer and helped make sure the lighting was just right. My entire bridal party was comfortable with them as they captured special moments throughout the day. Something I really appreciate when it comes to vendors is how real they are. It's nice to talk to vendors who genuinely make a connection as someone who wants the best result for you, and not just someone you're hiring. All of our encounters with the group reflect this- both in person and online. You should be comfortable with everything regarding your wedding. Michael's Wedding Group is easy to talk to, they're very friendly, they know what they're doing, and they are definitely the way to go for your big day!

I approached Van asking…read morehim if they had done any hybrid Vietnamese and Filipino weddings and his respond was "of course!". He showed us some of the samples they had done through out the years and it looked awesome. We did not only wanted someone who can take good photos but also someone that knows the etiquette of our culture. We went with Michael's Wedding Group and requested that Van to be our main photographer on the wedding day. We took our engagement photos a couple months after hiring them and Michael and Sean was our photographer for the shoot. The pictures came out beautifully and we knew that our wedding day was going to be better. Our wedding day consisted of Van and Sean as our main photographers. They were with us the whole time from the early morning to the tea ceremony, the actual ceremony and at the reception. Van was too cool! We was speaking Vietnamese to my family since some of the older folks didn't understand English well. He knew the etiquette of the culture and executed it really well. Sean was also all over the place doing his thing and taking pictures. We received our final photos two months after our wedding day. Sean edited them and they turned out great. The price we paid was reasonable compared to other photographers that my wife and I met with. It's the quality of their work, service and price that makes this a 5 star review. "It was a pleasure working with you guys and thank you!"
