Everything still worked - doors opened and closed, window, etc. It was just cosmetic damage. December 5 2025 was the dropoff, now it is April 17, 2026. You name an excuse they have it: Parts showed up damaged, need to get new parts, Can't find the right parts, Ford service manual doesn't show how to repair that part, we might have to total the car if we damage this part during repair, etc... NOT GOOD AT ESTIMATING: All of this AND original estimate $8K, Revised estimate after they had the truck for 2 months $21K. THEY DON'T ACTUALLY WORK ON THE VEHICLE: At this point ZERO work has been completed except disassembly. Congratulations Precision, you know how to take stuff apart, now lets see if you can put it back together? PHONE CALLS: As a bonus, when you call - AI answers and makes you answer a bunch of stupid questions only to promise someone will call you back. If they do forward you to a person, it goes to voicemail, but the voicemail is full and you can't leave a message. EMAILS: Emails go without ANY reply. VISITING MY TRUCK IN PRECISION JAIL: I finally had to drive over and walk into the shop. The excuse (at 3.5 months of waiting) was that they were waiting for a couple more things to figure out before they order the parts for the repair. Extra bonus, they charge a HIGHER Rate than insurance will reimburse, because they are so awesome. That means you pay extra out of pocket ABOVE your deductible. Double Extra Bonus: They keep changing the bid amount, even though they got paid by the insurance company in January! - 3 MONTHS AGO! Triple Extra Bonus: When you drop off you get a free 19 page list of excuses and reasons why shit may go wrong, but no matter what it won't be their fault. They make you sign every page Quadruple Extra Bonus: That document was written by a monkey. And I fricking hate monkeys. The number of errors and outdated information in their contract is ridiculous. Who cares if they do a good job on repairs if they never actually do the repairs. At this point I am stuck because their crack crew of truck wreckers has disassembled my truck and they want to charge me $8K just to put it back together so I can get it the *Expletive* out of their shop. Please don't use them. Tell others not to use them. If you make the decision to go ahead and use them, please contact me, so that we can get together and commiserate when you realize you screwed up and that your vehicle is stuck in Precision Hell for months without any hope of getting it back in time. Good news - The AI phone agent told me that after waiting over 4 months that she can understand why I am frustrated, but that the truck is scheduled for completion on June 5. Unfortunately, I don't know if that is June 5, 2026 or 2027??? By the way, I've got just over $100K into the truck and it has been out of commission for 4 months- what is that worth??? They did a decent job, but I believe I got charged for stuff that…read morewas unnecessary, e.g., removal of headlights that weren't connected to anything they were working on. I actually had them remove the charge for one of my headlights. But, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed ignorance on their part and the possibility that they removed at least one of the headlights because "that's what the computer said to do". You know how that works? These independent non-specific-vehicle-certified shops get these computers that tell them exactly what to do so the techs don't have to do a lot of thinking? It sometimes compresses the time they work on your car, but it could cost the consumer extra stuff that you wouldn't otherwise had to do even if it's quicker. Of course no one is as quick on working on your car as a technician/mechanic who works on the make and model of your car all the time. Then there was the overspray on surrounding areas of where the work was being done which I had corrected later on. They also employed the worst cleanup job I've experienced from over 8 autobody shops I've had various cars worked on over the years; it was dust material inside my car and all over the other parts of the body that weren't worked on. They couldn't even just wash it down. There was more from the vent when I turned on the AC. But, their labor rates were downright cheap compared to many for this type of non-dealership-type work. So, if you're just into cheap labor and don't care about getting nickel and dimed on other stuff you don't really know about because you don't really know much about cars, then by all means this is probably not too bad of a place. Either way, I don't really trust independent auto repair shops that also sell used cars on the same lot. There's always something shady in those places. Also, if you live in the Tigard area and looking for someplace close by to get DEQ tested....DO NOT GET YOUR DEQ TESTING HERE! Let me remind you of the cost for DEQ testing: -DEQ Centers = $25 DEQ fee + vehicle registration fee -Canyon Auto Repair in Tigard = $90 + $25 DEQ fee + vehicle registration fee. If your check engine light comes on while you're there and you want these guys to just do some troubleshooting they're going to charge you for that. And, if you're sucker enough that you also want them to repair said problem they probably created to generate business then it's going to cost you even more.

They charged $300 to diagnose, which seemed high, but I didn't want to tow my car to another shop, so I accepted that. They got my car back to me five days later, and the alternator worked great but a dash light had come on for a bulb which was not burned out. I replaced the bulb but the light persisted. I asked the shop about looking at it, and I was advised well, we'll run some tests, which sounded to me like another $300 diagnosis. So, the alternator repair was good, but now I have a permanent dash light on until I can find a shop to take it to. All in all, I'd say they are an OK shop.

They did have our car in their shop for an extended time, reportedly due to trim part unavailability (well over 30 days). Bit hard to believe, but possible. Once picked up and back in the garage, we noted that the Entire car had considerable paint contamination due to overspray. Luckly, I have the tools and ability to remove the overspray, which required about 5 hours of paint correction, polishing, and resealing the paint. A pro detailer would have charged over $300 for this same work. So, in conclusion; good repair work, less than good attention to detail, regarding the condition of the car as it was returned.
