We wanted something in the general Niagara Falls area, but not at the Falls, and this is about 30 minutes away. We liked the attached restaurant, we had dinner there one night and drinks the next. There is both garage and lot parking, and there seemed to be enough spaces. There is a tiny little pool, optimistically called "the spa" that is not a spa, but the water was warm. A lot of hallway noise in the evenings, so we did put on some music/white noise. Overall, another good location for date weekend.

And there is a mini fridge. I like the area, lots of cute stores near by. Can walk to Glen park to see the waterfall. A really cute comic book and ice cream shop right next door. Staff are super friendly. We ended up staying another night and they gave us the same rate. It was going to rain that day so I asked if we can borrow umbrellas and they do have umbrellas for guests to use which is so nice. Pool is small but still nice to have a pool there and I did go in for a bit. We had breakfast with the other wedding guests in a private room. The eggs, bacon and fruit were all delicious. Would def stay here again if I am in the area

I wished I lived closer so I could come here every month!…read more What a wonderful spa in the heart of Niagara on the Lake. My bf and I had a little spa day here. His first time! I'm glad this was his first experience, as this is what he has future spas to compare to lol. Check-in was super easy and fast. We were guided to the change rooms. We came on a Thursday afternoon, so it wasn't too busy. I mostly had the change rooms to myself. Inside the lounge is dim, with soft music it's perfectly relaxing. The lounge offers a great selection of teas. Lemon ginger is my favourite, which they had. They also have espresso pods. Of course they have some spa water, which was super refreshing. The main thing that surprised me was the selection of snacks they had! I've never been to a spa where they had basically unlimited snacks in the lounge. They had granola, cookies, brownies, biscottis and more. My bf received a 30 min massage, which focused on one area and I had a 60 min massage. My masseuse was friendly and very knowledgeable. I would have appreciated a deeper pressure on my legs and arms but the duration on these areas, was so short (as requested) I barely thought to even let her know I'd would like her to go deeper. I did let her know in the beginning though, that I do like a firm and deep pressure. Overall, she was just ok. The experience was still relaxing and she did loosen my neck and shoulders, which is what I was there for mainly. I so so appreciate that she used a hot towel to remove the oil on my back and the back of my legs. I love when spas do this. But I wished she had also done this after she worked the front of my legs and arms. There was so much oil on these areas, it would have been nice to have something to wipe it off. I did end up using the shower, since the oil really bothered me. The showers are spacious and I like that there's an area inside the shower to keep your belongings. I love the fact that they use loccetaine products. The scent they use is so nice. They also provide mouth wash, q-tips, cotton pads, hair ties, combs, plastic bags, tampons and a hair dryer. Check the drawers for the hair ties, combs and tampons. I wish I had checked these earlier cuz I really needed a hair tie lol. Oh and they also provide robes, sandals and towels. A wonderful experience from start to end. I think it also helped that the spa wasn't too busy that day. I'm excited to come back and try more services. Maybe even the hydrotherapy!

This is a charming, comfortable, welcoming boutique hotel right in the center of everything in town. So walkable, so convenient. The restaurants were wonderful, food/service/ambiance all simply wonderful. Can't say enough about the staff. I felt like I was in Europe and yet close to home in SE Michigan. No need to fly off to Napa Valley for wine. Niagara-on-the -Lake has it all...vineyards, wine tasting, beautiful views and again, excellent service. The hotel has convenient and free parking underground, easy to get to, plenty of space. Bikes to ride. There is a beautiful zen garden in the back of the hotel for relaxation, conversation, fountains and beautiful flowers. Do not go to Niagara-on-the- Lake without staying at this hotel. Luxury linens, comfortable beds, stunning decor, very clean. Can't wait to go back!

4 stars Stayed here…read morefor 2 nights on a work trip. Overall, the stay was good; however, one night I found 2 bugs in the bathroom. The hotel seemed clean, but bugs that looked like roaches do not make someone feel comfortable. Positives - I was able to get an early check in. There is a water bottle filling machine on the first floor. The vending area (sodas and snacks) has very reasonable prices. The gentleman at the front desk, Dan, was the nicest hotel clerk I have ever encountered. Overall, the hotel was fairly clean. The towels and bathroom amenities were great quality. The WiFi worked great. See pic: Large (used) trash bag by elevator trash cans - the large bag is provided in room for ease of keeping the room clean and disposing of larger items. This is a great idea being the hotel is next to a sports facility. I can imagine this would help families clean up properly behind themselves! There was also a notice that they are upgrading the tvs to being "smart". While this didn't happen during my stay, it's a positive for future guests! Negatives - The bugs on my first night. The breakfast buffet was just meh. Although there is plenty to choose from, the first day the cheddar egg omelette was old and hard to cut through (breakfast at 7:30am), both days the yogurt was kept in a basket (dairy should be kept on ice), the waffle maker didn't cook all the way through (and no spray to help get the waffle out, so the outer part that was cooked stuck to the waffle maker), and by 7:30 on day 2 they were out of quite a bit of the fresh fruit (the only healthy option). The temperature in the room was hard to control - it doesn't let you select air or heat. 73 was cold air, 74 was like a full blown heater on blast.

We have stayed here several times, and I always thought it was a pretty good Hampton, but I felt…read morethere were a couple of negatives this time. There is no top sheet. I am pretty sure the comforters are not changed with each guest so I would prefer a top sheet between me and the comforter. Actually my first impression when I walked in to the room was that the bed was not freshly made. When we were trying to get our receipt at check out, another guest said that the top sheet was way down at the foot of the bed, under the comforter. So, my question is: if there was a sheet there that I could not find(and I looked)why does the housekeeper not know how to make a bed? The shower has a nice amount of water pressure, but barely any pressure in the hand held shower head. The breakfast was a typical Hampton breakfast. Today there were sausage patties and the pre-made omelets in the hot choices. There were some nicely seasoned fried potatoes. I was hoping it was a scrambled egg and bacon day. Fingers crossed for my next Hampton stay. Once agin, peculiarly, I could not get a printed receipt at the front desk when we checked out. After 5 minutes, I said I would just print out the one being sent in an email. This the second time this has happened at this Hampton. I'd rather look at/check my receipt before I leave the hotel.

We couldn't have been more pleased with the ambience, comfort, food, and hospitality offered by Martin and Phillip. This is an elegant, first class, traditional Bed & Breakfast with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The mansion is less assuming on the outside than the White Inn, which I've stayed at many times before, but is much classier, far more comfortable, and much higher quality. Martin and Phillip create a peaceful and cozy home away from home with glowing fireplaces, soft music, bottomless cups of tea/coffee, and impeccable and creative Farm to Table meals that alone make the stay worth your while. If you are looking for an elevated experience to rest your soul and lift your spirits, you need not look any further than this quaint and charming treasure.

The beds were comfortable and soft. The shower water was super hot. The entire house is filled with Victorian period antiques. Downtown Fredonia and its National Registry twin commons has a variety of pubs and eateries an easy three blocks away. Highly recommended for a Fredonia Village stay.
