Scott's has been one of my favorite happy hour places for the last 5 years, no question. The mojitos are the best in the area, the bread is delicious and every item on the happy hour menu is so good. The tacos, the gorgonzola fries, omg. I love the rigatoni too. We even went here for Thanksgiving and it was delicious! I recently tried the brunch menu and I was just as satisfied. My french toast was amazing. Key lime pie, ice cream of the day...it's all good. Service is always great and attentive and honestly, even when it's crazy busy, I have always been able to find a table. Scott's is full of regulars for a reason, service and food are consistently good and we always leave happy. read more

I've driven past Scott's countless times, but have actually never visited until a couple friends asked us to go for drinks. Going in for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised how nice and spacious it is inside. I honestly would have never known just by judging it from outside. We tried our friends rigatoni, which was delicious, and had a couple drinks and apps. We also had shared a bread basket, which was impressive since it was focaccia with butter. (I mean, when do you get impressed by a bread basket?) After trying a couple things we decided to come back for brunch. I think brunch is their weakness. While they offer cinnamon scones with whipped cinnamon cream, it was way too dry. Eggs were over cooked, home fries were mediocre, and the food could best be described as ho hum. I hope to try a full on dinner soon, but I would not visit again for brunch. read more

Yum! I really love this place! I have gone here since I was little with my grandparents. I have my own personal favorites from their menu, and it's kind of routine that I order them from the menu every time I go here. So I'l let you in on my favorites, but I highly recommend trying anything, because they do have a fantastic menu! I typically order for starters their Blue Cheese Maytag Salad, or their French Onion Soup (fantastic), always have to have their bread sticks, smothered in garlic butter. And for my main course, I get the Big Chicken Mamou, a spicy Chicken Fettucini, that is just to die for! read more

I have been here twice, once for dinner, and once for happy hour. For dinner, I had the steak with crab cake and my boyfriend had the fried chicken with ribs. Both entrees were very good, but in my opinion, our meal was on the pricey side, which is why I deducted a star. Now, happy hour...that's a WHOLE different story! The food is so cheap and the portions are large! My favorite item on the HH menu was the crab and artichoke dip, as well as the Gorgonzola fries! My friend and I also had the quesadillas & calamari, both tasty as well. The service was great both times I've been here, I especially liked the bartender I had during happy hour, good guy. This time I will review about the food because upon our entrance, the bartender was a complete asshole!!!! Throwing menus down, being a complete asshole... Oh wait did I say he's an asshole yet. This review is solely based on their weekend brunch, in my opinion the brunch alone deserves 5 stars for sure! I consider myself an eggs benedict connoisseur. I was surprised to find that they serve the BEST eggs benedict here. I've come here for brunch about 4 times, and I always order the same thing. The eggs are always cooked perfectly, hollandaise sauce is absolutely delightful, and I'm a big fan of their breakfast potatoes. They also have great mimosas, and tasty little cinnamon scones that they serve with brunch. Pricing is very reasonable as well, with brunch plates around $8-11 a plate. For happy hour and lunch/dinner, I would give Scott's closer to 3.5 stars. Their brunch is so so good though, and definitely deserves a 5 star rating. read more

We ended up at Scott's for the first time because it was Christmas and it was one of the few restaurants that were open. I was able to make a reservation through Open Table. What a wonderful surprise. The house was busy, but there were more than adequate staff to keep things moving. A limited holiday menu had plenty variety from steaks to halibut. I ordered a "surf and turf" plate with a 4oz flat iron steak and two crab cakes for $27.00 with a starter salad for another $6.00. Our server was attentive and the kitchen was prompt, especially given a full house. The meat was tender, juicy and full of flavor. The crab cakes were fresh and light and finished with a tangy sauce. The entree was served with an unexpected by lively chilled vegetable salad. I was seated in a booth facing the kitchen and noticed the detailed attention with which the cooks paid to the plates as they made their way to the pick-up counter. The food was inspected both visually and olfactoriaely. The a la carte entrees ranged from $17.00 to $40.00, but the restaurant held up its end of the bargain. We will be going back. read more

Love this place, our new place to dine and introduce friends with the professional and friendly staff. The garlic bread and meatloaf are superb and the sirloin tips nestled in a bed of delicious rice leave us wanting more by the time we get in our car. Wonderful waitress deserving of bountiful tips sees to all our needs. The only downside to giving this place a great review is that it may be more difficult in the future to get in once people have tasted how good this place is!!! read more

We popped in at the urging of several clients for happy hour. It was standing room only in the bar area. Our waitress was nice but really had problems though out our whole experience. I order extra celery with the wings, she forgot. Boyfriend stated he did not want another cocktail. she brought one anyway. I asked for a glass of tea, she forgot it. She had a great disposition, and we weren't in any hurry, so it didn't matter all that much, but an eye for detail is a great trait in a server. The food was pretty good. We got the crab dip appetizer, the wings were super expensive, $8 for 5 wings during happy hour. And we got the prime rib sliders. The decor and the patrons were a bit dated and about 20 years older than the both of us. I can see why people would go here, because Shoreline is sadly lacking decent restaurants. But if this restaurant were in a competitive food neighborhood, I doubt it would survive. read more

We came here for dinner on St Paddy's Day. It was our first time as we had read so many good things about this place. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation at 7pm. Waited 10 min to be seated in the enclosed patio as we wanted to listen to the Jazz band while having dinner. Our drinks came fast but that is where the good news ends. After taking our order it took us more than an hour to get our order which was 1 open faced sandwich and fries and 1 Reuben Sandwich. There was a couple sitting near us who were seated 10 minutes before we got our food while they got theirs within 10 minutes after we got ours. How did that happen?????? The band was way too loud for such a small patio space. We could barely hear ourselves think. The food was indeed very good but for the price we paid, we expected much better service and the food should arrive in a timely manner. This restaurant is part of a larger chain which owns Cutters at the Pike Place market, I luv that restaurant, unfortunately this location has too many ups and downs for me. They do have the "famous" pea salad, which if you luv peas like I do, it's not to be missed. Dinner is usually solid, service is good if not top end, lunch has been okay food-wise but the worst has to be the Sunday Brunch! Service was fine but the food was down right sad! In a party of 8 maybe two of the meals even looked decent. I mean how does a kitchen produce a lousy breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, and fried potatoes!! The plate was huge but the portions looked like it was made for a child, and this was in the middle of the height of brunch service, so it wasn't like we were coming in too late. Over the years I have tried to like this place, my wife loves the Chicken Dijon, but I have yet to find something that really makes me want to go back time and time again. I came here for Happy Hour- I can't say that i was all that impressed- I was actually shocked how busy it was given that this place is kind of hidden.. I did feel extremely bad for the staff because it was apparent there was not enough of them to handle the volume of customers-I cant blame the staff for that- it's obviously a managment issue- the staff were actually very wonderful minus the fact that they had a lot to do and it was obvious. The drinks were delicious- i had about 4 rasberry cosmos, not on the happy hour list but still decently priced and I left feeling better than i did when i came in. As for the food, I felt like it was a hit or miss- we only got what was on the happy hour menu since we really went for drinks- we had crab and artichoke dip - which was actually very tasty and warm- i loved it. As for the Calamari we ordered.. not so much- a total rip off...- we also ordered the chicken casadillas- they were decent but nothing special- Can't say I will be back by choice to scott's- for the prices in their menu- i would have expected better quality. read more

Well what can I say. They tolerated local theater groups for years because.... well, we drink. And we tip well. It's a tradition for a cast of local community theaters to head to Scott's after a gruling two hour performance. Sure, we might be loud and sing off-key Broadway tunes, and tell way too many inside jokes ...and you might as well not come see our shows since we practically quote the d#&Mn thing every chance we get. No! Wait, I mean DO come see our shows! But enough about me ...I mean, us! The fine folk at Scott's (at least in the bar, and it's like the same 5 people for the past 10 years) have been serving up great drinks and appetizers*, just the thing after seeing some wonderful live local theater (wink wink! nudge nudge!) *In all seriousness, the drinks could be a bit stronger. My rum n cokes usually come out watery in a teeny tiny class. Martini's are ok if not a bit pricey for mid-range ingredients. Appetizers are def their strong point. read more

We ordered our dinner for pickup at 3:37pm & was told it would be ready in 15 - 20 minutes, but when we arrived in 20 minutes we had to wait until 4:35pm to get our food. The bill was $80.00 and they were not very apologetic for our wait! Worse yet the meal was definitely not worth $80.00. I recommend Cask & Trotter! Better food, service, & drinks. We have been customers for 30 yrs. But we ordered the Easter Dinner. Ham, Au Grating potatoes, carrots, and pea salad. We got a preheating instructions which look simply. Followed them to a tee. The potatoes were under cooked. Took us an additional 45 minutes to cook and still they were not completely done. The carrots were grilled black and also under cooked. Regular carrots would have been better. In the last year we have noticed that the food quality has dropped. Too bad. We don't go there as often as we did. We was looking for a great Easter Dinner but it was not as good as it should of been. read more

Hadn't been to Scott's B&G in a long time, I remembered it being good, I guess my memory is fading. The scallops were overcooked and rubbery, and whatever the breading was, it didn't compliment the flavor of the scallop, in the fish & chips meal the fish was overcooked and the fries were way too salty. The salads that we ordered were nothing to speak of at all. We were there on a Sunday, they were somewhat busy but not terribly, the service and food getting to us were slow. They were nice enough, but that's the only positive I have to say, unfortunately. I had suggested this place to meet up with some people from out of town and we were all very disappointed, I won't go back. It kills me to write this. This place has gotten far too hit and miss. USED to be one of our favorites. Wedding Celebration Dinner last Thursday with my mom & sister. Our favorite waitress Cheryl was amazing! Too bad they were short staffed and only OK food. Again! We took a few friends in for breakfast on Sunday, and it was delicious. Crab Avocado Benedict was near perfect. Service was adequate. Heard rumors they were planning a menu change. Hopefully they can get that right and keep most of the favorites. You'd better start getting it right folks it's going to take more than just a redecoration. read more

Went here the other night with a gift card that EE Robins gave us for the misunderstandings we had. We figured, it would be a nice night to order whatever we would like and not worry about the price. We both ordered a drink; I had a raspberry mojito and Cam had some sort of sidecar with a different type of liquor in it. My mojito was good, but it didn't taste very raspberry-y and the sidecar was not to my taste, and Cam agreed that he wouldn't get it again. I ordered the pea salad, expecting it to be lettuce with peas, but it was quite literally pea salad; it had water chestnuts, bacon, onions, and a creamy peppercorn dressing. I actually did like it, despite it not being what I thought it would be. Cam ordered a Caesar which seemed to be on target. For our entree's I ordered their almond crusted scallops, and Cam ordered the Turkey club. I wasn't particularly impressed (why am I never impressed????) because the scallops were sort of blah. Scallops already have little flavor of their own, so adding good spice and stuff is sort of a requirement. The mashed potatoes served with the scallops were topped with red peppers and pickled onions, and they were very smooth. Cam really liked his turkey club. Service was great; the waitress was on top of it all night and was great when we asked her questions. We still have some money left on our gift card, and I want to try happy hour so we will be back. I hope to be able to give them a better rating next time. read more

I read in another review that this place is generally very busy and calling ahead and getting a reservation was recommended. Instead of calling, I used Yelp's Open Table integration. This worked well. We showed up for our 7:15 reservation at 7:08 and were seated by 7:23. We had other plans at 8:00pm and our server was a little slow in getting to our table. We informed her we had to be out the door by 7:55. She said, "no problem", but I had my doubts. We put in our drink and food order. The drinks showed up right away and our food was placed in front of us in under 10 minutes. I was shocked at how quickly she turned around our table! Though the app we got was good the rest kinda lacked. The mohito was good but it wasn't great. They didn't actually muddle the mint they just ripped it. Even a club in Bell town muddles on a busy night. And the food was good but it was all cold, save the fries, the sandwich was cold. I know it was a turkey club but still why is the bacon cold and hard like it was made that morning and left. The waiter is was ok but I found it odd that she was taking orders on a napkin. Last Friday night I placed a to go order. When I arrived, it did not appear that anyone knew what they were doing. I was not greeted right away and had to wait a long time to receive my order. When I got home I realized that my French dip had no au jus, and my salad had no dressing. When I called to complain, the manager I spoke to seemed very overwhelmed. every chance i get to be in this area i always go to scott's. monday night we met our son there. i have been there for breakfast, lunch or dinner and any way you go it is great. walked in and it was pretty busy, got a table in the bar area. there were 4 of us so we decided we would just order a bunch of appetizers. their bread is to die for. and they have a crab dip that goes well with the bread. . the sliders were good also. we had 4 or 5 different appetizers which was more than enough to fill us all up. did i say how much i love their bread? it is additive ...im already thinking of a reason to go to that side just so i can go to scott's ....i think we will do breakfast next. read more

The hubs and I won a gift card for Scott's at his company Christmas party last year. We had been saving it for a special occasion, and finally got it this evening, with his 30th birthday and visiting family making it right. We had a lovely experience. Being the parents of a 4 and a 5 year old, we usually have to sacrifice high end, gourmet food for somewhere that is family friendly. Guess what? You can get both at Scott's. Loved the proper wine presentation at dinner, and the First Seating special (three course dinner for only $20 if you're seated before 6 pm) can't be beat. We had made a reservation online and were running late thanks to fellow Seattlelites blinded by the rare occurance of that flaming ball of light in the sky and being too scared to actually step on the gas, but a call to the restaurant assured us they would save our table, impressive considering our Saturday, 6 pm slot for a party of 6. Service was phenomenal, wine was fab, food was delicious, and I am so so so glad to find a place to get palate pleasing food and a classy experience without having to get a babysitter. read more

No Food is Good Enough to Balance Bad Management Our family just ended a 2.5+ hour hostage crisis at this "Restaurants Unlimited" Acquisition "Scott's Bar and Grill." They are nice enough to give you card listing all the other local restaurants that have acquired that you may want to avoid because of their management. Working in business management when things start to go bad, I start looking for why. It would be easy to blame the waiter for long delays between proper contact with the customers. Until you realize, he was taking orders, filling water, busing the table, running the tickets, bringing new dinner ware for the last course and bringing out most of the orders personally and doing so for 30 people! We are sorry for those of you that we saw stacked up at the door, waiting to get in. Our family gathering would have loved to turned our seats over to you 45-60 minutes earlier. The basic business model from what I can see is. High Prices like $16 Mac n Cheese and $14 sandwiches with no vegetables to be seen. With lower cost food items like Meatloaf having giant unhealthy portions to make you feel like it's not that bad a deal. Problem is when a ticket for two adults and an 8 year old is over $60 and the services is not up to what we get at Applebee's on a Friday.. I know I am being scammed. The food is fine on its own its a 3.5 stars maybe 4, but the service model is Denny's. One person serving all their tables with no support. There was a 10 minute wait for the dessert menu, followed by a 10 minute wait to ask if we were ready to order, followed by 5 minutes before he came back from busing the table next to us to get order. Dessert was followed by time with the credit card on the table, I noted this was the same for the table next to us. Followed by another 10 minutes while he created the checks because we did in the end have 5 checks at the table. I watched.. he was always with on of his tables, had dishes in his hand or was at the register running tickets.. The waiter was not the problem.. the fact that except for the initial food delivery.. he had no help for 2 hours in support of his tables was the problem. I know cost cutting when I see it. Scott's years ago used to also have impeccably dressed and attentive hostesses who were watching the room like a hawk. Now they had three young women who clearly had no dress code and were happy to talk with each other. (You get what you pay for.) and its clear support staff is not something they want to pay for. My money tonight was going right past the proper staffing of what presents itself as an up-end dinning establishment and right to corporate for some bean counting. What's interesting is that my parents who were the guests of honor got to tired and had to leave before we were even offered dessert menus, others who wanted to order dessert had time constraints and had to follow the waiter to the register to get out of there. They lost potential business that night and beyond. People who could have been eating and drinking at our tables were sitting near the front.. and my sister.. who has been a fan of this location looked at me and said "Do we to find a different place for Easter?" This is what we call "penny wise customer foolish. The food is not bad, but its priced for service that is not there" I will not only be avoiding Scott's Bar and Grill after years of being a regular customer several times a year.. I am using the loyalty card form that lists all their other properties to AVOID being held hostage there too. BTW our waiter was also tasked with "sales work" offering to tell us about the loyalty card. Dear "Restaurants Unlimited" loyalty is not a card it is something earned by making a visit enjoyable. I would rather eat at Celtic Bayou whose bread pudding is better and where I have always had great service than go back for another nearly 3 hour hostage situation and Scott's or any other place now owned by these bean counters.. read more

Sooooo the brunch is good here apparently, but for a dating location up North you may want to think about somewhere else. The food was great and the bartenders are excellent. Confused decor. Menu, bar and service suggest its a nicer restaurant than the buzz inn-worthy booths and place settings. My friends baked chicken was basically chicken parmesan with a thick flavorless bearnaise sauce on the side. The scalloped potato's were the highlight of my meal and really quite good . Totally out of place with my flat iron steak which was unseasoned unseared and untasty. The service was terrific and I hate to write a bad review when I got such great service but it is what it is, and its not enough to make me come back. read more

We went to Scott's this evening. We had reservations and arrived on time at 6:00. We were seated promptly. But that was the only thing that was prompt about this restaurant. Servers were very nice but service overall was incredibly and unbelievably slow. We were there for 3 hours for just 2 courses. I ordered steak and turf. Steak came out well done, shrimp dry and shriveled. I sent it back. Next time it came it was okay with steak and shrimp cooked appropriately. My partner ordered French onion soup and said it was delicious. Also ordered coconut prawns and they were just okay, and the dipping sauce had some type of medicinal taste. So my 3 star rating is probably generous. read more

I have been taking my mother here for Sunday afternoon lunches for a couple of years. We've always had super friendly, efficient service and great food in a casual and warm atmosphere (we always sit in the bar area). Thus, why we come back again and again. We went today for one of our lunch dates, and I ordered the Gorgonzola Crusted Sirloin. I ordered it medium rare, and it arrived very well done. I didn't want to return it and see it go in the trash (too much guilt of waste of food!), so instead I chose to just let my server know of the error so the cook wouldn't make the mistake on the next customer. I didn't expect anything in return, and I went ahead and ate my lunch. Much to my surprise, the server (after she had already apologized for the error), came back to the table with a dessert menu and said dessert was on them. So sweet! Thinking that was already a nice gesture, the manager then showed up and told me they were basically cutting my lunch entree price in half. So, I paid half price for my lunch AND got a free dessert. I have never had a bad meal here, nor has anyone I have taken. My boyfriend has only one complaint-they use powdered Parmesan instead of shredded or shaved in the Cesar salad. Happy hour is fantastic as well. Expensive but worth every penny: Parmesan crusted halibut cheeks. You will die and go to heaven. CON: Price. Prices are definitely more than they should be at a place that is not technically fine dining. Basically, I ask to go here whenever possible unless I am ready to spend the cash to have everything I order be expensive...then I go downtown! read more
