This company was called out to do a repair this July (2022). We were assigned them by our home owners warranty. Our kitchen pipe was clogged and a clean out was placed. Not only was Scott extremely unprofessional during his visit, at one point he answered another customer call in front of me and lied to her that he had cancer and that's why he couldn't make her appointment, when in full reality it was his wife aka his scheduler, double booked him. He did not bring the proper equipment and left the kitchen and garage a mess. Fast forward six months and we realized he installed the clean out incorrectly and removed a screw so the clean out would fit and it now rubs against our garage door. We called to see if he could remedy the situation since this was ultimately his mistake in the first place. Once calling we sent images and he said it would cost 250 dollars for him to fix. He claims it simply needs a screw and that we could fix it ourselves. However the pipe does not budge and it's due to how the clean out was put on. When we pushed back and requested for him to fix the problem that he created, he became extremely aggressive. If anyone reads this review please be cautious when using this unreliable and unprofessional company. read more

I appreciate the No nonsense attitude he and his staff had, however they were 7 hours late and only returned my call after I left messages. I totally understand when your short handed but it is your responsibility to let your customer know. In the end he knew right away he couldn't fix my problem and was upfront about it being outside of the scope of work he was able to do. It went from a drain cleaning to a repipe of my whole house I gave him 3 stars because he was honest about the issue and didn't offer me things that wouldn't help. read more

My home warranty company sent out Scotts to help determine why we are not getting hot water in the master shower. I'm giving this company two stars because of their plumber Chris they sent out who was very kind and did his best to be helpful but the owner Scott Girten deserves a ZERO as a business owner and I'll tell you why.... In the process of trying to assist us and replace the thermostat balancer Chris unfortunately broke our shower knob as pictured. He owned it and said it's on him and he'd find the replacement and fix it. However after testing to see if the thermo balancer solves our water temp problem, it did not and after a days work we knew it might be a bigger problem. I've been very patient as Chris tried locating the knob/parts but after 3.5 weeks of not having a working master shower, I took it upon myself to hunt down the part. I found it thanks to Valley Industrial. Then learned that Moen had discontinued it in 2008! Now what? Can't help but wonder how I found the part and this info out in less than 3 days and yet Scotts took a month. Called my home warranty company who said to connect with the owner of the plumbing company...this is where Scott Girten comes in...calmly told him the situation and never once spoke poorly on him, his guys or company and instead of saying I'm so sorry for your experience but...or let's work together on this...his response was "So what you're going to sue me over an old shower knob?" He went on but I'll stop there. WHAT!?!? Umm no wasn't even close but...why are you speaking to me this way?!?!? What did I do to you? I'm the customer after all and how is waiting nearly a month to locate a part alone even acceptable? I'm beyond upset with the lack of professionalism and I work in the contracting/construction industry!!!! I think I deserve more than an apology for the poor behavior of ownership. read more

Completely unprofessional, rude, and said he couldn't handle the job after trying to charge $500. Stay away!

Had these guys out at our property after our home warranty had already sent someone else out that was just.... terrible lol These guys showed up super quick! (we had already waited over 72 hours for the other company so that made us super happy) Once they got here we thought they were going to have to remove a toilet to clear out a stoppage in our pipes like we were told by the other company. Nope. These guys were upbeat and ready to work! Handled our stoppage and even gave us advice on our existing plumbing that I had already assessed myself so we knew these guys weren't full of crap. They saved the day, we put their sticker up in our storage area for future reference, they will definitely be our "go to" should we ever encounter any escalated plumbing situations. read more

Bad experience overall for a water heater install job. I had to use Scott's Drain and Plumbing service because of the Home Warranty company. Not worth the ridiculously high cost (in thousands honestly) Scott's Drain charged me on top of the labor paid by the insurance to them. Scott's pitch or tactic to bait or scare the clients is that they have to perform modifications to bring everything to the code. That's a complete scam. In my case I quickly realized that parts used were no more than $150 and in the end the job was still not to the code. I felt like I got ripped off. Moreover I was nervous the whole time of damage because of the lack of skill in the work. I felt like they'll damage other things due to that. Also didn't seems professional at all. Somewhat confrontational when asked an explanation on things. Seemed in a big rush the entire time. We had to help with lifting the water heater, tools etc. during the installation. He should have had a real helper given the thousands+ dollar charged to me. Bit rude, not polite, uses foul language, left a mess that I had to clean up. I just hope the heater works at least few years now and hopefully no leaks. read more

I have been using Scotts Drain and Plumbing for years now. I have never had any issue with him or his employees. They are always able to resolve our issues. When we purchased our home we found a pipe that had collapsed (March of 2015). Scott and his crew provided us with a quote and what needed to be done and went to work. Recently our mainline backed up and water heat went out. 10 pm and the guys were at my home fixing the issue. Drain was fixed that night and water heater was fixed the next morning. (can't buy parts when everything is closed.) As always guys you have come to say the day. Thank you so much for everything. read more

Was very unhappy with their poor service. Very rude. Customer service is low priority for the two men who came out. Was a warranty service call and they misdiagnosed an instant hot water leak. Insisted that the valve on the leak detector was leaking; it was not. While speaking to the warranty company, I requested they look again at the tank to see water dripping from it, they refused. Would only look at it if I allowed them to change the valve that was not leaking. Second company came out from warranty company referral, confirmed instant water tank was leaking not the valve. Seemed like they wanted to get more money out of the call. Would not use this company. read more
