Unfortunately, I couldn't get these guys to come give me a quote after I have had CPL come in, find where the leak was and trace out the line and isolate the issue. 20 years living in a home will definitely require some maintenance work. Issue: Downstairs ceiling showed patches of what seemed like water damage coming from the second floor bathroom ! Eek! Contacted our insurance and they had John from Master Plumbing and Leak Detection come to inspect the damage. John was very professional, knowledgeable, and timely. He inspected the damage and found the source of the problem and told us his recommendations. He was straightforward and really took care of the issue at hand. The leak was due to the shower and an error completed by a previous plumber thus causing water to seep through the wall. We managed to get the replacement parts fixed and the leak stopped. We appreciated his honesty and input. He also checked to see if our water pressure reading was within the correct range. Come to find..it was out of wack ! The water pressure was above it's limit, which could have also attributed to the water leakage. He gave us a free estimate to replace our water pressure regulator. We decided to get price quotes from other plumbing services, but they charged us twice as much so we went with John and his company instead. John didn't try to scam or upsell us like others. In the beginning of October I noticed I began to have a leak, luckily for me as a homeowner I have homeowners insurance with AAA My claim representative ordered, and paid for two leak detection tests; I inquired for an estimate for repairs and was given it for $500.00 (no biggie) mind you this after the SECOND time they came out. Since my second leak detection test was on a Saturday they were working remotely from home so no appointment was available, I was informed that they would call me on Monday to confirm an appointment two weeks after the original request was asked. Another week passes and still NO call! At this point my adjuster is getting upset due to the fact that after calling, and trying to schedule repair nothing was being done by master plumbing to try to fix my leaking situation. After waiting I decided to call yesterday Friday, to express the unprofessional business ethics, and horrible customer service since they weren't able to return a phone call after a service ticket was generated! The AUDACITY! after speaking to a representative I was transferred to a manager whom not only expressed himself unprofessionally, but had the nerve to blame me for my service ticket falling-out of there system! THE NERVE. It was followed by the manager THREATENING ME! by telling me he was placing me on the do not service order; when all along a simple we sincerely apologize for the technical issues we were experiencing "As I see from some of the reviews this is an issue that happens quite frequently" but does NOT fall upon our prevue to fix. Overall I expressed all these horrible concerns to AAA; and I'm pleased to say that they have a zero tolerance for any harrassment or threatening from any company they work with in third party, to the owner of the business I strongly recommend speaking to your managers over customer service as I see it's dwindling numbers of respect in this business. read more

John came by to identify the leak location as well as cap the leaking lines so that I would still have water to the rest of the house. He was knowledgeable and I could tell he enjoyed figuring out how to reroute the piping to bypass the original pipe in the cement. He and another gentleman (Ricardo?) were both professional and courteous. The only knock I really had was the drywall cutouts that they had to make. It could probably be more square to help with the repair but I realize that is not their area of expertise. The president of this company Mike Logsdon -- left his dog in the hot work truck that was parked in front of The Original Pancake House for at least 2 hours. The dog was seen inside the truck before we entered the restaurant. We assumed that he was going to be quick and would be back to get the dog, but it was still noted to be in the car that was extremely hot, not turned on, and had one window not even cracked enough to fit a hand in. The dog was clearly in distress. Panting heavily, barking and crying out. Upon walking over to the car, we noticed that there was no water or food available for the dog and that the dog's collar was strapped to the back wall of the truck and that it was not able to move more than a foot in each direction. It was 75 degrees outside at the time of this occurring so the temperature inside the vehicle was well over 100. The dog was very clearly in distress. We contacted the phone number that was on the side of the plumbing work truck and the guy on the line said it was his boss's car and would attempt to call him. We called PD and animal control. We were able to read the phone number off of the dog's tag and attempted to call the number to which he sent to voicemail. We then texted the number informing him that we were going to break the window if he did not come out within 5 minutes. He came out a few minutes later from the Pancake house yelling that "he's here, he's here." We offered to give the dog water and he got in his truck and drove away quickly. We were able to figure out who he is through his work information and phone number. This man is Mike Logsdon who is listed as the "President of Master Plumbing and Leak Detection" on his linked in. This animal abuse was reported and will hopefully be followed up with by San Diego Humane Law Enforcement. I would never endorse using this company simply based on the quality of the people that they are choosing to run it. read more

Recently we had a leak @ the water heater in our home. I knew it was going to be an insurance claim so I called Master Plumbing knowing that Travelers Insurance would appreciate me calling a reputable plumbing company. Everyone we dealt with at Master Plumbing was professional and courteous. They quickly came up with a game plan to detach our water heater and set it up temporary until we could have a contractor make the necessary repairs to the drywall. This allowed us to stay in our home which was greatly appreciated. When the construction repairs were done they came back and re set the water heater. Beautiful job. No hassles. They even brought it up to code!!!!!! (see before and after pics) Over the years this company has earned my trust. The plumbing industry is filled with "shady" characters but I have complete confidence in Master Plumbing. Later on, my tenant informed the problem was fixed and a faucet was replaced. I was charged $772 and was not given any invoice and paper. It called to clarify with the company since it is different from I was told and the faucet looks really cheap and simple. I was told the faucet costs $250. (it is real price is way less than that). I was driving on the 15 North today near Escondido in the Carpool lane. Admittedly going about 80 as most were. When a Master Plumbing Truck gets behind me and starts speeding up nearly hitting the back of my car and honking. There were a few cars on the side of me so I had to speed up to pass them and move over. But the story doesn't stop there, he speeds up in the lane extremely fast going about 100 comes over to the lane I turned into to get out of his way and starts braking hard. I call into the company to complain at this reckless unsafe behavior considering that I have a pregnant wife and a toddler in my car and she quickly can track him on their GPS system and states that at the moment he is only going 90 something and that she would handle it. How are they not monitoring to see that a company truck has been driving over 90 for a long while and braking like that. I use to be a Sales Executive for a company that sold these GPS trackers and they get alerts of speeding, irratic braking and swerving. This is absolutely ridiculous that my family went through this. I had a leak somewhere in my wall. The baseboards around my stairway were coming loose and there was water on my floor and in the crawl space. Tom and Mario arrived on time and were able to locate the leak without tearing my whole wall open. They accomplished this using an infrared thermal imaging leak detection camera. They then opened up just enough wall to repair the pinhole leak on a hot water pipe. I was impressed with how efficient they were. The cost for repair was very reasonable. He came back and tried to fix the tub shower overflow but there was a screw stuck. He came back next week with Ricardo. They opened a small patch in the kitchen ceiling and replaced the overflow and attached plumbing. While they were working in the shower, they replaced all the shower hardware.
