The family needed to have something to eat and the normal call was burgers daaad. So the GPS said let it be Scotty P's. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with many different establishments so the parking lot is busy something to look for if you have small kids like we do. The establishment has a one way in and one way out for COVID reasons. As you view the menu, its a hand craft burger and with a family of 5 it yells expensive. The booths were good for a family of five to where the monsters had room to eat and keep their area "clean." Wife was tired of BBQ so she had the salad and yes one kid had the cheeseburger and one with chicken tenders. I had the crafted Irish Nacho Burger. The chicken strips were slightly breaded and the burger didn't have McDonald's feel. Wifes salad was fresh according to her and worth the change. The dressing and seasoned chicken made the salad excellent according to wife. Now the burger i had was basic and regular flavor. If I would have know I'd pay the extra $2 for taste. my Bf and I went to Scotty P's today for the first time in years. Really impressed. Clara at the order taking register was a delight. She was both friendly and helpful. We ordered fish and chips split between us. No Problem. I had a wonderful IPA beer for $3.00. Are you kidding. It came in a chilled schooner. The fish and chips were great served on individual plates. The owner/manager? Served the beer and explained they are expanding their local beer selection. We will definitely be back. Did it again!! I cheated on my diet but I only do it with the 67' old burger at Scotty P's!!! Tell my wife!!! It was worth 100%!! Omg!! The place was packed last night as I never saw on a Thursday night. Thats ok too because that means it's good!! I been going now more than 20 times the last 2 years! We collected about 30 cups from there too. Let me tell something------ the last 3 month I seen more motorcycle cops around Firewheel mall than I seen in the last 15 years since the mall opening and they appear to go here. First time here and very clean. No diet Dr Pepper but they do have Coke Zero. Outside seating is nice They have jalapeño ketchup! Cool! Customer service is great, but the food not much. Burger patty was dry and cold like it had been sitting on a warmer. The cheese on the burger was not even melted. The fried pickle container was soaked on dark grease. On a positive note, the strawberry shake was good. The food was not worth the price, but I'll give it another chance at some point. read more

I haven't eaten at a Scotty P's in a very long time. Went today and ordered the Southwestern chicken sandwich! It was EXCELLENT! Toasted bun, guacamole, pepper Jack cheese! I had the hatch green chili burger super juicy & full of flavor & of course I had to have loaded fries. I always get the turkey burger when I'm here and it's really good, it's just that the staff seems to have an attitude and they really overcharge for a burger and fries. It's good, but not that good. French fries are nothing special, taste like normal, every day french fries. Was hoping to try their sweet potato fries but there was a $2 up charge for them? I'm already paying like $10 for a burger and fries, is the up charge really necessary? It's not gourmet. Last time I went the girl got my order wrong and didn't even apologize just looked at me like I was annoying and kind of gave me the "are you really going to make me take it back?" face. Well, yes, when I tell you I'm allergic to tomatoes and you put a freshly sliced tomato on my burger, you're going to have to remake it. The rings, I didn't love - too thick. Fries were better. My co-worker got a burger, and the meat looked very well done (grey). I do not understand why people are bashing this place. The price is a bit high, but the food is not as bad as people say it is. I been to worse and this was not one of them The environment was homey and was very pleasant in terms of a casual date or a quick lunch with a friend. I have eaten at this Scotty P's twice this week. My first visit on 3/7 around lunch time was great. My burger and fries were fresh and hot. My second visit today 3/11 in evening was not good. My burger had too much mayo on it, the burger patty had a little bit of a char (burnt) taste to it, and I received regular fries instead of the sweet potato fries I ordered (paid 50 cents more). This was a to go order, so I couldn't just ask server to change fries or burger. Overall, I think the food is decent. They are a little pricey for a burger and fries though. read more

There was a sign that said burgers cooked to medium well but I think mine was a little pink which I usually don't mind with burgers. Threw up right away and I'm sure it's food poisoning. I'm pretty picky, so the build your own burger option was definitely the choice for me. I got a mix of the veggie style burger without any cheese for a vegan style meal, and added honey mustard. That honey mustard was dripping out of the bottom of the burger with juices! My one complaint was that I ordered sweet potato fries and received regular fries. My entire group was pleased with their orders- they've got some massive things going on here. Brisket AND bacon?? Both in one burger!? Heart attack, but by choice! It's a pretty mild crowd here- located next to Firewheel Mall. There were a few policemen lunching here, families, and older folks. I'd recommend for an office lunch, but defff go easy on yourself. I used to look forward to ordering out from Scotty P's, but the last 3 out 4 times have been disappointing. Grilled chicken was overcooked and dipping sauce totally left out. Somehow they always remember the ketchup which goes with absolutely nothing in our order and was not requested. Also, they now charge for take-out when YOU pick up your order. We've chosen to do this since restaurants take a hit when ordering Uber Eats or a similar service. Pretty middle of the road burger joint. I wouldn't make a special trip just to come here, but might stop by if I am in the area. The menu is predominantly burgers a few other items for good measure. They have the same menu items at all locations, but the names vary by locale. The Garland locations burgers are all named for people in Garland history (sounds a little funny I know), and ditto for the Plano and Frisco. The chili cheeseburger is just sopping with chili. I love burgers, but I hate messy sloppy food. For that one it would be best to just look like a fool and eat it with a knife a fork. The original is good, and it is not served with loathsome mayo. It was devoid of any seasoning, and overcooked at that. The only saving grace were the fries that were somewhat fresh but still needed salt and a touch of something else.
