my Bf and I went to Scotty P's today for the first time in years. Really impressed. Clara at the order taking register was a delight. She was both friendly and helpful. We ordered fish and chips split between us. No Problem. I had a wonderful IPA beer for $3.00. Are you kidding. It came in a chilled schooner. The fish and chips were great served on individual plates. The owner/manager? Served the beer and explained they are expanding their local beer selection. We will definitely be back. Did it again!! I cheated on my diet but I only do it with the 67' old burger at Scotty P's!!! Tell my wife!!! It was worth 100%!! Omg!! The place was packed last night as I never saw on a Thursday night. Thats ok too because that means it's good!! I been going now more than 20 times the last 2 years! We collected about 30 cups from there too. Let me tell something------ the last 3 month I seen more motorcycle cops around Firewheel mall than I seen in the last 15 years since the mall opening and they appear to go here. Customer service is great, but the food not much. Burger patty was dry and cold like it had been sitting on a warmer. The cheese on the burger was not even melted. I haven't eaten at a Scotty P's in a very long time. Went today and ordered the Southwestern chicken sandwich! It was EXCELLENT! Toasted bun, guacamole, pepper Jack cheese! I have eaten at this Scotty P's twice this week. My first visit on 3/7 around lunch time was great. My burger and fries were fresh and hot. My second visit today 3/11 in evening was not good. My burger had too much mayo on it, the burger patty had a little bit of a char (burnt) taste to it, and I received regular fries instead of the sweet potato fries I ordered (paid 50 cents more). This was a to go order, so I couldn't just ask server to change fries or burger. Overall, I think the food is decent. They are a little pricey for a burger and fries though. read more

The restaurant is located in a strip mall with many different establishments so the parking lot is busy something to look for if you have small kids like we do. The establishment has a one way in and one way out for COVID reasons. As you view the menu, its a hand craft burger and with a family of 5 it yells expensive. The booths were good for a family of five to where the monsters had room to eat and keep their area "clean." The chicken strips were slightly breaded and the burger didn't have McDonald's feel. Wifes salad was fresh according to her and worth the change. I'm pretty picky, so the build your own burger option was definitely the choice for me. I got a mix of the veggie style burger without any cheese for a vegan style meal, and added honey mustard. That honey mustard was dripping out of the bottom of the burger with juices! My one complaint was that I ordered sweet potato fries and received regular fries. My entire group was pleased with their orders- they've got some massive things going on here. Brisket AND bacon?? Both in one burger!? Heart attack, but by choice! I used to look forward to ordering out from Scotty P's, but the last 3 out 4 times have been disappointing. Grilled chicken was overcooked and dipping sauce totally left out. Somehow they always remember the ketchup which goes with absolutely nothing in our order and was not requested. Also, they now charge for take-out when YOU pick up your order. They have the same menu items at all locations, but the names vary by locale. The Garland locations burgers are all named for people in Garland history (sounds a little funny I know), and ditto for the Plano and Frisco. The chili cheeseburger is just sopping with chili. I love burgers, but I hate messy sloppy food. For that one it would be best to just look like a fool and eat it with a knife a fork. The original is good, and it is not served with loathsome mayo.
