Everything I've had there is awesome and the waitstaff is very friendly! The owner is very accessible and my favorite part of going to the Beef House is for either AYCE enchiladas, AYCE catfish, or on Sunday for the pot roast and banana pudding!!!!

Front of restraunt. Looks can be deceiving definitely try

Surprisingly, good even though you don't expect it service was really professional and prompt. I decided to have their special which was chicken and dumplings. Turned out to be as good as my grandma ever made. Will probably return here. Just looking at itwould not think it to be as good as it is Definitely worth a trip

haven't been here in a long time, but everything is exactly the same. Great food, huge portions, incredibly reasonable, and good service. Delicious liver and onions.

Another delicious meal from Beef House. Their Tuesday Dinner Spaghetti is my favorite. It's enough for 2-3 meals and comes with garlic buttered toast and Parmesan,

The Beef House is not far from our house. If it hadn't been for Yelp I would still have no clue it was there. Walking in you get the impression you've stepped back a few years. It is a place to get a solid meal. The utensils were of low quality but served their purpose. We both got a kick out of the mismatched coffee mugs. That one fact may have defined Beef House best. I got the steak and Tish got the CFS. The steak was on the tough side but tasty. Tish was impressed that the CFS wasn't all breading. I can't comment as I didn't taste it myself. Tish seemed happy enough. The eggs and hash browns were 100% American Cafe. They were perfect. The coffee--I think it was Community coffee, but, I'm not positive. It was good and the refills were always on time. Wait staff--pleasant, polite, as well as, there when you needed them.

We read about Beef House on Garland Foodie and thought we would give it a try. Oh no wish we had not. Old diner might have been amazing back in the day. There was nothing outstanding barely good. I went with a pancake and then shared Tiki Hubby CFS breakfast. Main disappointment was the pre processed meat patty hard as a rock instead of the promised hand batter CFS, followed by the burnt topped cold biscuits and floating in grease hash browns, It was easy to leave most of the meal behind. Gave it a 3 star as waitress was amazingly fun sarcastic.

The prices are extremely reasonable, and yes old school. I ordered a Ham & Cheese omelette, with Home Fries, Biscuits & Gravy, and a Waffle. Absolutely Delicious! When putting this together, I started to think I would give them a 4-star rating but then I asked them realistically what would I downgrade them from a five -star to a four star, and the answer was absolutely nothing. This place hit all the check marks for me! In fact, it really is a Goldmine!

First up, the pirogies--holy moly, these little pockets of joy were just unreal. Perfectly soft, stuffed to the brim, and fried up just right. I'm pretty sure if my tasted these, she'd give a polite nod and say, "Not bad, eh?" Then came the pot roast poutine, and let me tell ya--this isn't just food, it's a life experience. You've got those crispy fries, squeaky cheese curds (as they should be, eh!), and gravy so rich it could probably pay rent in Toronto. And then--BAM--tender pot roast on top. I nearly stood up and sang "O Canada," no joke. Now the Canadian Eggs Benedict? Ohhh, beauty. The peameal bacon was thick, juicy, and cooked just right, sittin' pretty under those poached eggs with hollandaise sauce that was smoother than a fresh sheet of ice. Absolute perfection, eh. And don't even get me started on the everyday breakfast. Classic, hearty, and no funny business--just how we like it. Eggs done right, toast that actually tastes like toast (imagine that!), and portions big enough to fuel ya through a full day of shovelin' snow... or, you know, strolling around Dallas. All in all, Maple Leaf Diner absolutely crushed it. Let me tell ya, the service was so fast and smooth, I thought I was dreaming eh. Great food, friendly vibes, and enough Canadian charm to make ya wanna say "sorry" when someone else bumps into you. 10/10, would recommend--now pass the syrup, eh?

The walls are sparsely adorned with a few drawings, a handful of license plates, and an American flag hanging from shower curtain loops. There were snowflakes on the wall that I was not sure if they were leftover from a Christmas past, or wishful thinking on a hot July day. Oddly, they did not seem out of place... But as we all know, the soul of a place is not in its decor, but rather in its people. The people here make this place. This place defines the phrase "down-home". The patrons are all intertwined into each others conversations down to everyone in the place saying "amen" after someone quietly says grace over their meal. Then, after grace and "amen's the conversations all resume. Here, there is no typical customer, the place is filled with all backgrounds...a table of people on their way to church, another table with officers ( who were applauded when the walked in), a table of folks who had partied all night, and me, just a Yelper trying a new place, to get another review and a few more photos under my belt. Nothing binding us all together except the pleasure of each others company in a place that fosters the ability to do so. That to me is an ambiance I will take over gilded gold furnishings any time! I ordered the make your own breakfast special. What a concept, let the customer decide what they want, not what you choose to pair up together for them. It certainly worked for me this morning! My choice was Eggs over medium, Bacon, Hash browns, and Pancakes. Everything was pretty darn good. The service was fine. Not over the top, but friendly and efficient. No complaints here! Well, talk about a hidden gem. I had this place bookmarked but could not tell you where I heard…read moreabout it. It is basically a little luncheon oasis dropped right in the middle of a gigantic industrial park. On the drive over I was seriously questioning my Yelp choices. It is that kind of location. But trust Yelp and sometimes you are handily rewarded, which we absolutely were. We came after a few hours strolling around at the Botanical Gardens, so we rolled in around 1:30 and there were still plenty of people there. I can only imagine at noon this place is packed, and honestly it should be. My biggest complaint is the menus. There is one above the counter that does not include everything, and then a different, more complete version if you scan the QR code at the table (But 2 different navigations even on the website with slightly different menus). Do yourself a favor and look it up ahead of time so you are not standing there making panic decisions. There is a half sandwich and half soup combo (Not on the board but online menu), which is definitely the move. I got the pozole, which you should absolutely order, and a half grilled cheese on their housemate sourdough. Normally not my go to, but I was trying not to be completely stuffed since we had dinner plans. And they bake their own sourdough, so I had a strong feeling it would be great, and it delivered. Toasty and melty, American and cheddar. My husband got the southwestern wrap, and my friend went with the half club and half tomato soup. She immediately regretted not getting the pozole and the half birria sandwich, which tells you everything you need to know. Also need to mention the snickerdoodle. Not much to look at, kind of humble, but it completely makes up for it with flavor and that perfect soft texture. Go ahead and get the cookie. You are not here to make responsible decisions. Bottom line, it may feel like you are driving into the middle of nowhere, but keep going. This place is worth it.

This is exactly the kind of hole in the wall lunch spot you'll miss if you're not paying attention…read more I literally drove past it twice before realizing it was right there. It's also one of those "if you know, you know" places, and clearly people know, because the to-go orders were nonstop. The second you walk in, you're hit with cases of fresh baked bread, and pastries. The almond pistachio croissant was the biggest one I've ever seen and had me drooling before I even placed my order. It is counter service, and I went with a Mediterranean sandwich with chicken while my lunch date got a classic BLT. Both were incredible, super fresh ingredients, excellent flavor, and next level fresh bread/ flatbread. Try the sourdough ! You can tell this place is legit because you see everyone in there from construction workers, people, in scrubs, law-enforcement, executives, all grabbing lunch. When that many hard-working people trust a spot, you know it's got to be good. If you're in Garland, add this place to your must try list. It is an excellent lunch spot.
