Walked in, the male host was not exactly inviting or friendly. The place wasn't overly busy so kind of made us feel uncomfortable. Took our seats and looked at the menu. It was close to what their online menu was but 2 of dish we were interested in from the online menu were not on it anymore. (Update your website, it's not difficult) Order apps and wine to start. The appetizers were wonderful. The duck was perfect and the scallops pretty close. Wine was 50/50 mine was ok my girlfriends was borderline from turning into vinegar. Our main dishes were satisfactory but not special. Come on $28 for chicken. Our waitresses was nice but not very informative, had to ask her if there were any specials. She also seemed like she wanted to be any place else but work. Overall the chef was good. Service could be a lot better. Probably won't go back soon or send clients there for awhile. read more

This was my first time at Scotty's Table and this is my first Yelp review. The experience at Scotty's Table was disappointing enough to motivate me to write a review. I have lived in Missoula for a year and a half and everyone spoke highly of this restaurant. We decided to make reservations for Valentines Day. Here is what we ordered: a Napa Cabernet (Napa cab are always good). The ahi tuna appetizer ( the quality of the fish was outstanding yet it was an unseasoned slab of rare tuna), the spinach salad -(good yet it seemed to have no dressing), the lamb (delicious and so tender it could be cut with a fork) , and the beef duo entree (the short rib was dry and unseasoned, the steak was tender and good, the Asiago mashed potatoes were very good and the sautéed green were completely unseasoned and bitter. The meal came to $118 without the tip and seemed very overpriced given the inconsistent quality and flavor. To their credit, the wait staff was friendly and attentive. read more

Fantastic meal. The mussel appetizer was great and my salmon special with cauliflower and potato mash was perfect. The waitress and other staff were pleasant, and gave us space while still staying on top of our needs. A great overall experience. read more

Well I live in missoula and i can guarantee that anyone that go's there will think that it is spectacular. it is my favorite restaurant in the entire universe so I definetly recommend it to anyone that wants some dynamite food. And the service is spectacular!!!!! read more

We went to Scotty's for the first time on a nice Missoula summer evening. We had heard good things and read good reviews so we thought the outside seating would be a good choice for a nice meal. The meal was fine...my cioppino was tasty although the rice was under cooked. My husband was satisfied with his burger. The cheese plate appetizer was OK though. Nothing to write home about. It was the service though that deserves the 2 stars. The waitresses ( we were never sure who our real waitress was) were nice but very SLOW. Once the drink order was finally taken, she brought the wrong beer so I had to wait another 20 minutes to finally get the right beer. The other issue was that our plates were never cleared. I will admit that this is a problem across Missoula establishments...servers do not clear plates!! Finally, the beer selection is mediocre. It's hard to spend $5.00 on a Stella when you can get a 6 pack for $8.00. We won't be back I am sorry to say. read more

The best eating in Missoula at least before it changed locations....

Great location. Open with a loft so it's on the noisier side. We went early, so it wasn't too bad. No hard liquor (which some in our party were not happy with), but good selection of wine. The food was good and the service was fine. Nothing too exceptional. It seems to be one of the better restaurants in Missoula (we were visiting for graduation) . I am a vegan and the one dish on the menu I could eat (beans, of course) was good. It would have been better if they had added some corn to make a perfect protein meal, but most chefs aren't vegans, so. . . Also, the bread plates were positioned to the right of the place setting. Anyone who has any knowledge of place setting etiquette knows the bread plate belongs to the left of the plate! Odd that they don't know that. This review is based on their lunch, which I've had 2-3 times. The room is in the old Wilma theatre building, a big space which high ceilings which allows for good table spacing and ambience. Everything I've had was very good, e.g. burger, tuna melt, club sandwich. Service has been friendly and efficient. A few local beers on tap and an extensive wine list. Prices are the same as the local sports bars/pubs but the food is a bit better and the location a lot nicer. I look forward to trying dinner. read more

This place is not good. As a Missoulian, I have been 4 times and each time I think the same thing: the food is not tasty and it's unimaginative and expensive. I am sort of embarrassed that out-of-towners are told that this is the greatest restaurant in Missoula. It is not!! Go to Scotty's Table if you want to sit in a nice atmosphere, receive so-so service, and over-pay for food that is mediocre at best. You have been warned! read more

The warm atmosphere made for the perfect evening out. The service was impeccable, seated right away with our reservation, and the food was incredible. We had a late reservation and were the last table to leave, and the staff were nothing but wonderful. There was no pressure to hurry up and leave, despite the hour. From the wine selection to the menu to the service, the evening was made perfect by Scotty's Table. They will certainly become a weekly reservation! read more

Five stars for Scotty's Table! From my first email requesting reservations for a large group from out of town on a very busy weekend in Missoula, to our dessert, everything was top notch. Our company has done business with Scotty's for years now, and we've loved sending clients there until we had to deal with the owners over a miscalculated gratuity. The owners are rude and not worth dealing with if you plan to use them for business dining purposes. They literally threw away good clientele and over $200 in business a month over $20 in gratuity they demanded above and beyond the gratuity already paid. There are better places in Missoula to dine with the same excellent food and wine that understand "the customer is always right". read more

I don't know if I've ever been better taken care of than by our waitress who attended to all details effortlessly, thoughtfully handled special requests, and offered the most amazing description of the wines, recommending the best glass of wine I have ever tasted. This is one of the best higher-end restaurants in Missoula. Beautiful setting, consistently great food (though menu could be varied more for regulars), and best table service in town. Wine list is solid, but could use a few more interesting choices both by the glass and by the bottle. Based on the regional location and the embrace of locavorism, I'm consistently baffled that they don't specialize in Northwest wines and regularly serve an Oregon Pinot Noir or Washington (Walla Walla) Syrah by the glass. A better Washington Cabernet (with all respect to Nelms Road) should also be found. Finally, the restaurant tends to be on the warm side and their wines are sitting out in room temperature: this needs to be fixed. The new brunch shines and quickly has become one of the best brunch options in town. read more

Worst restaurant in all of Missoula! My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding there, along with 14 guests and family members. We loves the location and thought it would be great. Not even close. Not only did the hostess/ owner seem completely put out the night of our dinner, having not even put a section together for our party. Then the waitress which took forever to greet us seemed beyond put out to help us. I've never experiend a more malcontent server ever! When I asked if I could get some more wine she literally looked at me and said " can't you see I'm busy," wow! Our food then took another hour and a half to receive, and it was gross! 2500$$$ later a very unhappy family and a very unhappy bride to be! I have no idea what their deal is, only that the restaraunt was empty besides us and they were put out to even have to work! Don't ever give them your business!!! Dear owner and or manager of Scotty's Table. During my visit to your restaurant I was left speechless. Speechless from the way your employee (tall brunette woman) the young lady trying to clean the bathroom for us your customers and speechless from the attitude she gave her for trying to clean the bathroom. Now I don't know about other customers but I personally would like a clean bathroom to use during my visit. Now weather that takes 5 minutes or 1 hour no one should have gave that poor girl anything but respect, kindness and patience. Granted cleaning the bathroom during closed hours would be easier and would leave no one waiting to use the bathroom, it would also leave the bathroom dirty during open hours. So again I don't know about other customers or your self but I would prefer a clean bathroom to use. The young lady only wanted to keep others safe and her self safe while cleaning the bathroom so she had them closed while she did just that. That should not be a problem and instead she should be thanked for thinking of your customers well being. It's unfortunate my visit wasn't more pleasant and I'm not sure if I'll be returning. read more
