Came here for breakfast with my family and I was pleasantly surprised. We actually were going to go elsewhere but it was closed. I'm so happy it was. After this trip, we'll be back. Inside: it's small but fits quite a bit of people. We were a family of 5 and they were able to seat us. They also have outdoor seating. Staff: super friendly!!!! From the young girl who took our order and was so patient with us to the girl who served us. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Food: delicious!!!! Look at the pics! It was yummy and so fresh! You can taste that the ingredients were fresh. The kids pancake was a good size. We ordered one for my 9 year old and another for my 11 year old and it was enough. I originally wanted to get the Ube Pancakes, which I regret because of how delicious they looked. Maybe next time, but instead I ordered a spicy chicken bacon waffle and an Ube iced latte. The spicy chicken bacon waffle was interesting to say the least. I wouldn't order it again, it just wasn't my cup of tea. The Ube iced latte wasn't my favorite either. I came here for brunch during a week day with some cousins to try something new. And it was well worth it! It is located right off the freeway in a busy plaza so parking was difficult but not impossible. We first ordered at the register and then choose our table. First off I want to say the prices at this place are amazing! The food was delicious and affordable ! My cousins both ordered the eggs Benedict and it was delicious. I got the huevos rancheros. I probably wouldn't order that again though as it was kinda bland . And the star of the whole show was of course the ube pancakes ! They literally melted in our mouth. Had very high hopes for this cafe considering the incredibly good reviews, but we left somewhat disappointed with their takeout breakfasts. Eggs benedict with Kalua pork 3/5: Yummy, but the pork was lacking in flavor and tenderness. The potatoes were also not crispy at all. We ordered kalua pork eggs benedict, fruity pebbles French toast, spicy chorizo omelet, buttermilk pancakes with macadamia nuts and whipped cream added, chocolate milk, and guava juice. An observation made of the food was a lot of the items were dry or lacked flavor. For example, the eggs benedict desperately needed a sauce for the meat and some spices/salt added. This was the same critique I had for the potatoes that came with it too-dry and no flavor. We enjoyed the macadamia pancakes the most -fluffy, buttery, melt in your mouth. Service overall was okay. We got checked on on a few times, but even so, it took 20 minutes to get my chocolate milk. It was nice and cold due to the ice cubes and definitely chocolaty. If you order orange juice or guava drinks, they're poured from a box-not actually made fresh as you would assume since they serve them in plastic cups. Restaurant has one restroom-gender neutral. One word. YUCK! From the over fried potatoes, to the cold biscuit and gravy, and my fiancé's over cooked rice aka mushy rice... YUCK. I didn't have expectations for this place to begin with due to the fact that their is a lot of mixed reviews of this place. Maybe, I do have high standards even though if it's "just breakfast or brunch." Well, I guess sometimes even with low expectations these places still can't get away with things. Bottom line is, when certain things are over cooked and under cooked, it's YUCK! First off, I gave this place 2 Stars because they did have a very welcoming hostess that greeted us once we walked right in the door, and she even complimented on how pretty my dress is. 2 stars for good service. Also, they even agreed on giving me brand new biscuits and gravy because mine were cold when the first plate came on. The 2nd plate didn't work anyways but all is good. They still deserve 2 stars for good service. Ok onwards to the food... I ordered the Portuguese Sausage combo breakfast which included eggs... which I got sunny side up. I had a choice of 2 sides. I picked fried potatoes and biscuits with gravy. The eggs were ok. Too me, eggs are eggs. I can't have them any way and I'll be ok with it well except raw of course. The Portuguese sausage was ok also but a little bit on the heavy side of salt for me. It was cooked nicely though. The potatoes were cold, dried and tasted like charcoal almost. YUCK! No bueno. I felt like I was chewing on plastic on some of them at one point. No thanks... the biscuit and gravy was the worse. Ok, too me biscuits are suppose to be fluffy like a cloud. I don't know about you guys but these were flat AF like worse than pancakes flat. How does that happen? Oh and top it off, whose heard of cold gravy? That is some nasty stuff. I took 2 bits to see if it's happening all around the plate and the 2nd bit tasted even more aweful. I had to tell the waiter... she took it back and another waiter came back with a new plate. Well, the 2nd plate was a little bit warmer but still didn't do it for me. I guess the biscuits do matter cause the biscuits on the 2nd plate tasted like pretty much plastic even if it's a warmed up plate. Whatever person or provider is selling them these biscuits is HORRIBLE!!! Like seriously, ever heard of standards? The food you sell to joe public matters and these biscuits tasted like plastic, not fluffy like a cloud and may I say GROSS? You might as well tell a 6 year old to learn how to make these biscuits from Pilsbury dough and it can taste better than this. All I gotta do is make my own gravy and wala! Still tastes better than the garbage they gave me here. My fiancé had their country fried chicken steak with rice, scrambled eggs and wheat toast. He said his plate was mediocre. His rice was way over cooked. Even my grandma won't eat that and she likes her rice over cooked because she doesn't have real teeth anymore. Yup, it was that bad. Nobody likes over cooked rice. If I wanted over cooked rice, I would've went to an Asian restaurant and ordered myself a bowl of porridge! No thanks!!!! Not coming back, sorry but not sorry. Very disappointed waited for almost 2 hours to get my food and it arrived cold! When I mentioned it to the staff they shrugged their shoulders and suggested it would take an additional 45min -1 HR to redo my food. I could not fathom waiting an additional hour to get my food. Should've read the not so recent string of one star reviews before making my decision based off of the 4 star reviews it is miraculously holding on to. Scramblers Cafe. I've been eating here for almost the entirety of its presence here in Norco. It's honestly a delicious spot, with a good menu with lots of variety and flavor. I would recommend to at least try this place once. The staff is always friendly and the coffee is fresh. However I took off a star for two reasons i've come to notice over the years. The cleanliness of the dishes and cups tables and seats has deteriorated a bit. I would notice some spots of the past use sometimes on my dish. And the to go food containers will melt into your food because they are styrofoam. All in all though its generally one of my favorite places for brunch and its good portions for the price! read more

I ordered the Triple 2 and substituted the two pancakes for the Belgian waffle. The bacon, while on the thin side, was crisp without being overdone. The two eggs over medium were perfect! You would be amazed at how often restaurants have problems with cooking eggs to perfection but these were it. The Belgian waffle was light, fluffy and airy. It was probably the best waffle I had had in years. The best part is that it was only $10. We found this place by accident but we will definitely be back. The only negative is that they need a better location as it is hard to get in the parking lot and parking is somewhat limited. But, you know, not much of a first world problem there. read more

See this is what happens when you come to a place hungry, you order a lot of food that you know you can't possibly finish in one sitting lol. We got Breakfast Combo with Portuguese Sausage with biscuits and gravy, a side of bacon and spam. An order of Strawberry Pancakes. To drink a strawberry/banana & piñacolada smoothies. Everything I have to say was very delicious and worth ordering even though we had to take some of this home. The only thing is I wish they would have used some fresh fruit on their smoothies but it's all good the food makes up for it. This busy little cafe in eastvale near the freeway/s is packed, even on a weekday. We met with my mom-in-law who lives nearby, and thank goodness there are a few handicapped parking for her because parking is so limited in this square. We had to wait a bit for our parking but the turnover is quick - some people were going into the other businesses and getting food to go. Despite the lack of parking and the tiny space, this place is popular with the locals! They are right; the food is delicious and the staff also take care to give proper customer service. We were seated at the back, next to the noisy soda machine, but my MIL wanted to sit by the window, so we asked to move and it was okay. They could try asking next time for table area preference, instead of randomly assigning spots. I had the eggs benedict with ham and bacon. my husband and MIL both got the vegetable omelette. we all had a ton of coffee. I dont believe they accept apple pay here, - im pretty sure i tried and failed - even though i think they have square. or some white futuristic POS machine that looks similar. ugh! had to exert the effort of pulling out my wallet and my actual card. boo! jk. [EDIT: they might have clover (?) which is also white and minimalist-looking - but isnt as hightech as square.] I did really like how the staff is very knowledgable about their food (which is hawaiian breakfast fusion?) and the foods good, and the servers were very respectful. I also had some strawberry crepes - i never leave a breakfast / brunch place without sampling the sweets. At the $7.99 price point, the crepe (which comes in 3 pcs) was served wjth just strawberries and strawberry syrup. It wasnt very exciting, and i only ate 1 piece, and MIL ate half of the second one and boxed the rest. The servers suggested Nutella (of course! everything tastes better with Nutella) but it comes with an additonal $2 :( I own a crepe maker and a giant jar of Nutella at home so i find this a bit too expensive for my paid breakfast fare, also since they dont serve it with whipped cream, or something nice and sweet inside. For the price the crepes were at, I'd stick to the pancakes next time. All in all, the food is a 3, the service is a 5. So I give Scramblers a 4 star! :) read more

It has breakfast and lunch options, but I've only tried some breakfast options. My favorite menu item is the Loco Moco, because it's a great comfort food. It's a bed of white or fried rice with hamburger, spam, or polish sausage topped with gravy and your choice of eggs. I prefer to get white rice, hamburger, and over easy eggs. I've also tried the oreo pancakes and those are good and also a decent size. The service is usually really fast and everyone is really nice. Everything on the menu is mostly below $10 so your wallet won't take a big hit. read more

Hidden gem! Located in NorCo, this cafe is a great spot for Hawaiian style brunch. My friends and I came here to catch up over brunch. I ordered the Ube coconut pancakes and they were pretty good. The portions are huge here so its great to share! The coconut cream topped off the pancakes perfectly. I wish there was more ube flavor but there was enough to taste. I also tried the kalua pork lunch plate which was delicious. The pork was tender and went well with the mac salad. The two dishes were a great combo of sweet and savory brunch foods. After the rest of my group got their food I waited and waited for mine until I eventually had to flag down a busser to check on it, after even more waiting they brought me the wrong dish and I would have been fine and settled and ate it but it was ice cold! I ordered the kalbi and they brought me like a plate of bbq ribs and they felt like they just pulled the ribs right out of the fridge. We sent it back and I waited for them to bring me the correct plate by this point the rest of my group had finished their food. I eventually asked to see a manager and the lady in the front said I would have to wait to see the manager I figured I had waited enough so I just took the refund and ended up not getting anything to eat. I ordered an ice green tea and what came out was a milk with an essence of green coloring in it, they didn't say it was a milk drink nor did they ask me what kind of milk I wanted. my boyfriend ordered an ice coffee which ended up having coffee grounds in it. And when we sent it back they just strained his same coffee and we knew this because it had the same creamer he added to it. The lady at the front counter was who I was dealing with and she was very rude and short with me. It seems like they were having a bad day all around the restaurant as several other people were complaining and asking to talk to the manager (who never came out). I waited about 20 minutes until I was able to order at the counter. While I waited, a waitress came around to ask how many people would be in my party, so that she could prepare a table. I was able to try the Kalua Pork Eggs Benedict, the Loco Moco with Spam and Fried Rice; and Captain Macnut French Toast. All were very good. The Kalua Pork Benedict was probably the best thing I ate. The pork was super tender, eggs were cooked to perfection, and the homestyle potatoes were very flavorful. I did love the French Toast as well. The Cap'n Crunch gave it a nice bite. I will say I didn't care much for the Loco Moco. It's not to say that they don't make theirs well, I just think I might not be a fan of it as a whole, but I am glad I got to try it! Service was good. The majority of the restaurant is self-serve, but all of the waiters were very helpful when needed. Give this place a try! It's different than your typical breakfast, and well worth it. read more

We had fruit which is the norm and I had toast and he had tortilla. It was extremely crowded you had to wait in line to place your order and then sit outside and wait.
