Fried rice was basically white rice with soy sauce, horrible and gummy. Also took forever to come out. Asked for more gravy and the server said she would bring some. Never saw her again. What's most surprising is this is apparently a sister site to Aloha Stacks, an incredible chain down in OC. Been to the Irvine locations many times, lines out the door and the food is worth the wait. This place is amazing! I've been coming to it for a many years but in the past few years it seems that they had a change in management and a renovation. Sometimes when this happens, standards drop and we don't get the same experience. However, the manager Daniela has absolutely made this location 100 times better than before. She and her staff are always kind and attentive and focused on making sure customers are satisfied with their experience. I recently had a scramble mistakenly made into an omelet, Daniela didn't hesitate to get that refired correctly. Though I haven't tried everything on the menu, what I have has been consistently delicious. I love this spot! Parking can be a little sketchy at times but it's always great to get a few steps in so don't sweat it too much! One of the owners, Lily, really cares about customer service and is often there to make sure things get done right. I love the food, service and cleanliness. I had the Loco Moco with SPAM eggs over medium. Food was delicious the gravy was not salty and the rice was the way like it it may be Cal rose type. Anyway look forward to return to try other menu items like Musabi bowl or Hawaiian pork eggs Benedict. So delicious! Parking sucks. We came on a Saturday morning, and parking was crazy. As busy as it was I think it's time for them to move to a bigger space. We met with friends her so luckily the got in line as soon as they got there. You have to wait in line to order then they seat you. It's assigned seating so you can't just sit anywhere. Wait time was about 20 min or so. There is plenty of indoor seating and a small patio for outdoor seating. I ordered the carne asada omelette, my son got the Oreo pancakes, our friends got the Oreo waffle and breakfast sandwich. Of course, I was so hungry that I forgot to take a photo of our dishes but our friends got some of theirs. So I apologize for the bad food photos. I promise, it was all delicious though. Coffee was good as well and they bring you a water carafe for the table. After breakfast we used the restroom to wash our hands and it was a mess. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked awesome including our Spam Musubi, Breakfast Melt Sandwich (with Spam - of course) and beatifically purple Ube Coconut Pancakes. After ordering at the counter, they direct you to your table inside or outside (some umbrellas provided shade) ... and they bring your food to your table. This place is located in a small plaza next to Starbucks. Parking is ok but can get a little busy with all the ppl coming out of the Starbucks drive thru. Restaurant is small and you can eat inside or outside. Space is a bit compact. We always order to go since we have little kids and it's just easier when we're having a lazy weekend at home. Service is nice and friendly when you order at the store. They're pretty patient with allowing you time to figure out what you want. There's a good size menu to choose from and always something for everyone to enjoy. We've also ordered online and the process was easy and the wait time is your typical 25-30 mins. Our typical items are: Applewood Smoked Bacon (comes with eggs and potatoes). The potatoes that comes with it are good. The bacon is nice and crispy and aren't dry. The Loco moco (comes with eggs and rice) and just your typical loco moco. Nothing different from other places and does its job. I'm not a fan but my husband likes it. And the Buttermilk pancakes....These are nice and fluffy and huge so one is good enough to share. We sometimes also order the Oreo pancakes for the kiddos. They enjoy it. We came in around 9am on a Monday and walked right up to order and got a table without any wait. The inside was decent size, but I imagine when they are busy there would be a wait. The service was okay. It was our first time so we took a bit to look at the menu. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't friendly/welcoming service. We ordered the chilaquiles, the breakfast melt and the banana Nutella crepes. Everything was pretty good, maybe not our favorite, but that could be personal preference. We also got an ice mocha and strawberry smoothie which were our favorites from the order. If you're looking for a little breakfast/lunch spot with some unique Menu offerings, I would say to check them out, I think we would give them another try if we were in the area again, could have been an off morning. I went there is the height of the breakfast hour with my three daughters. Parking was rough. But we found some and waited in a line that was out the door. The wait was about 5-10 min and the food was so worth the wait. We got our table and we were met by smiles from all staff. I don't know if she moonlights as an Olympic sprinter, but my water glass never even thought about being empty. She didn't just bring my food; she presented it like a Michelin-star chef revealing their masterpiece. When I asked for extra napkins, she brought them with the grace of a Broadway performer hitting their final bow. At one point, I sneezed, and I'm pretty sure she handed me a tissue before the sneeze even finished. Time travel? Maybe. Pure skill? Definitely. If Yelp allowed more than 5 stars, I'd give her 17. This café is lucky to have her -- and if she ever leaves, they might as well close the place down. read more

I've been to scramblers Cafe a few times and always has great food and service until my last visit. Unfortunately this visit was disappointing. I ordered the Kalua Pork Benedict and it was cold, like it had been sitting out before it made it to my table. Their iced ube matcha latte??? More like iced sugar milk topped with ube cold foam. What really ruined the experience during my last visit was witnessing the owner, Lily, speak rudely and disrespectfully to her staff in front of customers. It was uncomfortable to watch and left a bad taste in mine and my friends mouth. If thats how she treats her staff with people watching, I don't want to imagine how it is behind the scenes. All the other employees were great, minus the owner. I believe in supporting businesses that treat their employees well. Sadly, that wasn't the case here. Based on past visits and the food alone, I wouldve given this place a 4 out of 5 stars. But after this experience, I can't in good conscience recommend it. read more

They'll ask if you're dining in or take-out, and if dining in they'll point you to a table to sit. We got their Loco Moco & Spicy Chorizo Omelette with Fried Rice. Not a big fan of their Fried Rice (which is an extra $2.50) but the omelette was delicious. Flavor was good for the Loco Moco, but the homemade hamburger was a bit small for the amount of rice they provide though & only comes with 1 patty. They have a fountain drink station & water jugs you can bring back to your table which is very convenient. Once done, you can leave your plates on the table. Parking is really small, so I recommend parking on the side of Starbucks and not in front of the restaurant. Will try again because the Ube Coconut Pancakes caught my eye! read more

I usually do the loco moco (with extra gravy) with fried rice (add 2 dollars), over easy eggs, and half Portuguese sausage half spam. You can pick Portuguese sausage, spam, or hamburger patty for your meat. I also recommend the chicken katsu waffle (kinda spicy but super good) and the fried chicken steak with fried rice. Both dishes very well seasoned and juicy. Also we get the ube coconut pancakes with extra ube sauce on the side! Super fluffy and moist pancakes! The green tea latte is pretty good and they also sell a variety of Hawaiian drinks in the can. They play Hawaiian music and the place is just overall a fun Hawaiian brunch vibe. Super fun! Has outdoor and limited indoor seating so can get packed especially on a weekend brunch, everyone here is super friendly and nice. Enjoy coming here! read more

This is my FAVORITE Hawaiian style breakfast spots in Norco, CA. Their Benedicts are so delicious and don't even get me STARTED on their Chicken and Waffles. What we got: Kalua Pork Benedict ($14), they were runny, very meaty, and juicy. I think it needs a bit more seasoning, but I also added hot sauce, after putting on some hot sauce, it elevated the flavor more (hot sauce is on the table). I recommend the Kalua Benedict, that ones my favorite out of the other ones! I stopped by Scramblers for brunch with a friend. This concept is affiliated with the Aloha Stacks restaurants and serves a similar Hawaiian inspired menu. When you arrive, you order at the counter, the server asks you if you want to dine in or to go, and then assigns you to a table where you go sit and wait for your food to arrive. You cannot change your assigned table (makes me feel like I'm at school), but I guess it's because they put it on your order so the staff knows where to bring your food. This method apparently works, because there's no one fighting for/saving tables, and the food came to our table pretty fast. We decided to share the Hawaiian omelette (subbed turkey sausage for the ham) and ube waffle. We also both got the Hawaiian latte. The Hawaiian omelette had pineapple in it, which sounds super weird (eggs & pineapple?!?!), but it was surprisingly good! The Ube Waffle came with a little container of coconut syrup - and like Aloha Stacks, they are skimpy with the syrup. Other than it being a shade of purple, and having tons of whipped cream on top, it didn't taste extraordinary. The Hawaiian latte was great, I loved the taste of the coconut milk mixed in!
