Ordered a chicken Caesar salad to go. Menu says it has romaine. It doesn't have ANY romaine, only mixed greens, which I don't like. I called the manager to ask for a refund. I spoke to the manager, she said they could refund me if I got there before 2pm ONLY, I explained that I'm at work so I can't leave since I just got back. So there was nothing they could do. its my birthday so I wanted a treat we decided to drive over 30 minutes in traffic because of the good reviews almost 5 stars but this place was not worth the drive. had the chili Verde omelett it had no flavor at all. pumpkin pancakes had no flavor and too moist in middle definitely didn't taste like pumpkin. outdoor tables I read in other reviews were not cleaned so I came prepared and brought wipes & when arrived it remain true, outdoor seating floor area is dirty and dirty tables there's noisy street traffic too. you must walk up to counter to order from menu off wall 1st, pay, then go find a seat not a traditional service cafe. that was so disappointing wish I could get my money back not a good birthday treat read more

I made an order on grubhub to my work. The delivery was smooth. But the food was lacking the main entree. I ordered corn beef hash and eggs. The portion size for the corn beef was abysmal. Like they took a tablespoon and gave me one minuscule scoop of it rather than the main name of the entree taking up half the plate. The eggs were fine but they gave me tons of potatoes to compensate. Also when I chose the utensils option for grubhub, they forgot to include kitchenware that we didn't have in our office. So i had to use my hands to eat eggs and corn beef. I am not trying to make things a big deal but when you work in a boring office environment and you really look forward to having your quick brunch break, it just becomes a huge bummer when the food that got delivered to you is an utter disappointment. It was cooked fine, but it's the little things that go a long way, and it's as if they just don't give a shit when they do me dirty with the price of delivery and the order, and serve me a spoonful of practically nothing. read more

I got a loco moco with hamburger, steamed rice and a sunny side up egg. I was really excited to come here and try it out after seeing it on yelp. The hamburger lacked some flavor and there wasn't that much gravy on the meal, but they definitely give you more if you ask. Our server was very nice. More like a 4.5. Really awesome little hole in the wall out in the inland empire. You order your food at the front and they bring you the food to the table. We ordered the kalua pork scrambler and the Captain Crunch french toast. The scrambler was delicious, but that french toast was off the charts! I like Blu Jam Cafe's version with the cornflakes, but this captain crunch version is the clear winner! So good. I also appreciate that the portions sizes, at least for me, was just right. I think often times brunch places really over do it on the extra large servings, but this place got me just the right kind of full. Side note: I also love that they have a station that has all the sauces, syrups, utensils, whatever you need. It's nice that you don't have to keep asking for it. Great idea! read more

First timers, on a Sunday morning. No parking when we got here. Then 6 cars left, then 4 more so parking was easy. Looks like a small place buts seats a lot. Only one bathroom, but not as challenging as expected. Standing outside with the front door open is a bummer. I can't imagine doing this at noon with 95 degree temps. Too much for me. They had a lot of to go orders, so it took 28 min for 5 entrees. Food was so amazing. It's just not my cup of tea to wait that long. V wry sweet folks. Logistically it's a monster. From parking, to stand and wait, to 1 rest room, to waiting a half hour for breakfast are values people want, but will pay the price for great food. read more

For the portion sizes, the start prices aren't bad. However, it starts getting pricey when you sub or add on. Almost $4 extra to top strawberries on the already $6 waffle. Though for the ube pancakes, I couldn't really taste the ube flavor as much. Tasted like regular pancakes, nonetheless delicious--fluffy and right amount of sweet. I liked the coconut syrup as well. The eggs looked like powdered or I don't know what, and the service our waitress wasn't the one that dropped off our food. And only returned to drop off check. Most likely won't return. I was delightfully surprised. The potatoes were cooked and flavored wonderfully well. Good balance of spice and texture. The biscuits and gravy was fantastic. Omelet was good... Have been waiting a long time to try this place out but after eating here today I did not see why all the hype. I was not a fan. Ordered 1 oatmeal and yes came with fresh strawberries, bananas, and raisins but lacking flavor. 2 kids franchise toast that was very simple. My ham burrito was very bland and lacked much flavor. I was surprised as to how little cheese was add d and I thought it came with avocado. Even the green Chile salsa had no flavor. Very disappointed especially after spending over $30 read more

2nd time here and last. Food was okay. Looks amazing, tastes just okay Service was bad. I walked in, no one greeted us so we were confused as to whether we were supposed to sit or..?? Meanwhile two employees are just staring at us waiting for us to figure it out I guess. So after asking we were told we have to order at the register and then sit. I walk up to the register and the cashier never makes eye contact and is sorting receipts so I'm patiently waiting there kinda browsing the menu (even though we all knew exactly what we wanted to order) because she was obviously bust right? She finally looks up after an awkward 7 long minutes and sarcastically says "you can order whenever you're ready." LOL are you kidding LOL I shouldn't be waiting to be acknowledged and then talked to this way after politely waiting for you to do your job! Every server here looked like they hated their job. Literally! There was one friendly employee (short hair, lip ring) she was kind- unfortunately she didn't serve us. I just don't get it. If you hate your job.. get a new one. I literally planned coming here the night before and told the party I was with how awesome this place was and it was embarrassing to admit I was WRONG. We came from Riverside which isn't too far but I really should have saved myself the gas and went somewhere close to home. I'll never eat here again. Love love this place. The Norco fried rice with the egg on top was so good. My husband loved the oreo pancakes and the biscuits and gravy. Needless to say he did mot finish those plates. My daughter got the veggie plate and she loved it. Will be back. read more

**UPDATE** My husband and I went in today (our 3rd time) and found Natalia to be pretty unreasonable. Unnecessarily unreasonable. Irrationally unreasonable. I ordered the machaca omelette and asked to get the listed included jalapeños on the side. She said they can take out the jalapeños but they can't put them on the side. ? I don't get it. If you can not put an item in, why can't that item go on the side? It's listed as an ingredient to the omelette, it wasn't like I was asking for an ADDITIONAL ingredient, the fact that she said they could take out the jalapeños altogether tells me it's probably not a pre-made mix. I just don't understand. We can think of no rational reason to not put jalapeños on the side if a customer asks for their order that way. It wasn't a substitution, which I've come to realize she does not tolerate. The 2nd time we went in, I tried to swap out avocado for ortega chile. She said I couldn't do that but I could add ortega chile for an upcharge. Okay, fine, shame on me, I didn't read the part on the menu that says No Substitutions. But last time I checked, avocados are more expensive than ortega chilies so she would've been in the plus. I never argue with her but marvel at her lack of customer service skills. The food is good but I can't say it's good enough to overcome the poor service. And it's all just weird because if you talk to her, she appears to be very nice. I can't believe I haven't written a review for this spot. My friends and I have been coming here for over 2 years now and it feels like it's damn near every week lol. We are HUGE fans of the place and I wake up craving it. They are always clean and friendly. Service is amazing here and so is the food. The food is to die for. I've never been a big breakfast person but this spot has converted me. The usual orders are: -loco moco with spam and fried rice -clubhouse Benedict -blueberry ricotta pancakes -captain crunch stuffed French toast (off menu - it's in the picture all the way to the left) -kalbi plate -strawberry banana crepes -Kings French toast Each thing we've ordered has always been delicious. Their coffee is also yummy - sometimes places serve watery coffee but not them. Fresh orange juice - never sour. They have a boysenberry(?) syrup and a coconut one. On Sundays, the line can literally be out the door near the parking lot. They do get busy but are good at keeping organized and the flow going smoothly, I've never not been able to grab a seat. I was looking for brunch places in the area and found this place on Yelp. Looking at the menu, you can tell that it's an American and Hawaiian fusion. I like how they assign you your table while you're waiting in line to order food. There's usually a bit of a wait too! So far I've tried the loco moco with spam and the kuala pork benedict. Honestly, the spam was way too salty for me to the point where I couldn't finish it. It's surprising because I can usually eat pretty salty foods just fine. I also ordered the fried rice, which charged extra, with the loco moco. The fried rice was too dry. However, I really enjoyed the kuala pork benedict. The poached eggs were perfect and the flavor was just right. I really liked the potatoes that came with it as well! My friend ordered the Portuguese sausage breakfast combo and she liked it. Keep in mind that all the meat here is on the saltier side. It was good though! I love the variety in the menu. I will be back to try more! read more

So this place is ok- They are really good at making chicken and waffles, French toast, pancakes- the rest of the food is meh- it's a bit higher in price then other places so you would expect it to be outstanding - right? The delicious French toast is crusted with a mix of captain crunch and crushed macadamia nuts, and topped with strawberries. I would give this a zero if possible. We just ordered our breakfast for pickup over a. Hour ago. We had ate previously at their sister cafe Aloha in Irvine and everything was amazing. Delicious large portions and great service. So, we were anxious to try this one they told us about. Big big disappointment.. we spent $35 for basically a small omelette with little meat in it and a side order of pancakes. We included a 20 percent tip too. We are headed to the park with it and I see the nasty omelette, little potatoes.... Theres is no utensil, plates, syrup Nothing..... grant you this is one breakfast for $35! I called the fill -in manager she made no attempt to offer anything... no new food plates syrup..... nothing!!! Shame on them ripping off seniors or anyone! Beware if you order. Everything we ordered was very good. The potatoes just had a bit more salt than we prefer. The eggs Benedict, eggs Florentine, the pancakes, the crepes, the waffles were all sumptuous. The prices were reasonable for the portions. Parking is a bit of a challenge though since the complex had too many establishments for the amount of parking space. read more

Cheeeeeeehoooo! Broke da mouth! So ono! Scramblers is our new favorite breakfast/brunch place to go to when we want a taste of Hawai'i!! My all time fave is one of their specialties, Kalua Pork Benedict served with crispy home fries and not to forget an order of their mouth watering, melt in your mouth pancakes! The Lava pancakes are delicious too and gives a Boots and Kimos or Aloha Kitchen pancake vibes, so if you're craving for those, this would be the closest in comparison. Of course, you NEED to wash all this glorious food down with POG. IYKYK! My husband likes a variety of food from here ranging from their Loco Moco to their burritos. No matter what you're craving for, they have a variety of delectable options. They're always super busy no matter what day you go, but weekdays are a lot better option than weekends, if that works for you.
