Wow, what CAN'T I say about Screen Master Door & Window! This is a class act company. Yvette and Art were such a pleasure to meet! Unfortunately, we weren't able to utilize their services because after assessing the problem, they gave their honest opinion that a mere repair was not the right step to take. Could they have taken our money, and temporarily fixed the leaky windows in the home we just purchased back in June 2016, until the next terrible rain storm? Yes. But, they DIDN'T. After reviewing the photos they took during their visit, they gave their professional advice, saying that the windows were not properly installed and would most certainly cause us problems down the road. And, that's all you can ask for is honesty. So, now we're off to really address the root of the problem... Beware with this business. I called to see about getting an estimate to install new screens at one of my rentals. They were late and did not show up at the appointment time. The tenants called to complain they had made time in their day. So I call them to ask why they didn't show up. Yvette calls me back and says she called and left a message earlier in the day to see if I was there. Apparently her son didn't let her know I don't live at the house and that it was a rental. He failed to give her the tenant's contact info. She agrees to go over right away since she was in the area. A couple hours later she informs me the work is complete. I call to let her know I did not receive the estimate and if she can please email it over. She informs me she proceeded to complete the job. I tell her that's completely unethical and how am I supposed to get other companies to come out and perform estimates when they'll see that new screens are already on the windows? Furthermore, that wasn't what I had contracted her to do. She agrees to allow me a few days to call other companies and inquire about their price. I proceed to contact other companies but they want measurements which I don't have but I can obtain over the weekend, 2 more days away. She agrees to give me the additional time then proceeds to complain that other companies might do their fabrication at their shop so their prices might be lower. I inform her that's the reason why I wanted multiple estimates. And that it was through her own incompetence that we find ourselves in the current situation. Further, she agreed to allow me to get other estimates and didn't make any stipulations about who I could get estimates from. She then proceeds to sneak onto the property at night and steal all the screens from the Windows. When I call and ask her about it, Art gets on the phone and tells me they decided they didn't want any problems. So that explains why they trespassed onto my property in the middle of the night to steal the screens. In the mean time my tenants are understandably upset. I highly recommend you find honest people with better ethics than these two thieves. Clearly they must be in dire need of business if they would stoop so low as to perform unauthorized work and then expect to be paid. read more

While I was at Mexico,my wife decided to replace three of the screens. Our windows are weird and the screens are very difficult to install. She went to the hardware store, and even though they built the screens the same size, they could not be put in. After searching high and low, we came across Screen Master Door & Window. Although I had to wait for a while, the wait was worth it. Frankie and Rene showed up and did not leave until they built each and every single screen as snug as possible. Screen Master replaced 64 screens on my apartment building. When I called them they came right out and gave me a good bid. When I was ready to do the work they scheduled it right away. On the day of the job they arrived in the morning, set up their equipment, worked all day and clean everything up when they were done. On a 1950's building with many layers of paint on wood molding, no two windows are exactly the same size. A traditional window shop comes out, measures, goes back to the shop and then comes back out and wedges in the new screens that were hopefully correctly measured & fabricated. With Screen Master you are basically getting custom tailored screens. Screen Master measures each window then cuts & assembles the screens all on site. Before final installation each screen is custom fitted and adjusted to each window. This may not seem like much but if you are someone with an attention to detail who wants to restore an older building, fitted screens dress up the property and look great. I have used these guys on multiple occasions to install screens and screen doors on a house built in 1913 that has lots of unique windows including casement windows which require very unique screens. They did a fantastic job and really thought outside the box. They were efficient and reliable. Oh my gosh, these guys (and gal) were amazing. They texted me that they were on their way, showed up early actually, and then had all 9 of my new screens made and installed within an hour. Initially they gave me a guesstimate over the phone but when they came to measure they said it would cost more because of the slightly irregular size and shape of the opening. I do enough of my own door & window work to know they weren't BS'ing me. The higher price was plenty fair, given the materials and time that three of them spent making it perfect.
