Met a friend here for lunch to catch up and was blown away by what a cute little gem this was! Soooooo many choices of sandwiches, paninis, soups, salads, there is definitely something for everyone! I had a hard time choosing because there were so many that sounded good! I settled on the Matthew panini which included grilled chicken breast, applwood bacon, cheddar cheese, sweet chili mayo on a ciabatta roll. Good blend of flavors, and such fresh ingredients. It came with chips or field greens with balsamic which is what I chose, and was very happy with, again so fresh and clean. I have always liked Panera, but this felt like the fresher, better version. It was a nicely decorated seating area, with seating options for different group sizes. We came at lunch time on a weekday, however it was Christmas break week, and it was packed! The tables would turn over, but then would be filled up with a new group just as quick. Not sure if this is an always thing, or because of the holiday but it seemed typical. This cafe is awesome and I wish I lived closer! Drove 35 min to get here and glad I did! It was disappointing when we first got there because they only serve breakfast until 11 and we showed up shortly after. My daughter is vegetarian so her ability to pick off a lunch menu is usually limited and that is why we go to breakfast spots a lot. They also have huge croissants which are her favorite so she was very excited to get one. I was so grateful the staff agreed to make an exception and still give us breakfast after a little bit of begging and almost tears lol I went with the sausage egg and cheese on the croissant (up charge for croissant) with scrambled eggs (loved they have you the choice of how the egg is cooked as well as type of cheese). Everything was perfectly balanced and one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. We also got drinks and my daughter said the macha was top tier and she is still talking about it days later . Nice welcoming atmosphere for all ages. Has a little counter to seat about 5 people, many indoor tables to share or break apart as well as outdoor seating. Park on the street as it sits directly on a corner with bright city views. Had the chicken pesto wrap with side salad and so fresh and filling I took half home. Very nice staff to recommend a hot coffee latte with caramel which did not disappoint and tasted like a coffee & hot chocolate mix with mild caramel creaminess to round it out. Met friends here 1x and loved it! Brought the hubby this time and he was impressed. Definitely will be back. I've been a long-time customer and have always enjoyed the food at Scripts -- it's consistently delicious. However, I've experienced extremely poor service during my last two visits, both within the past three days. Today was particularly disappointing. I waited 30 minutes for a simple to-go order of two sandwiches. During that time, I watched multiple tables -- who arrived and ordered after me -- receive their food well before I did. After seeing the third table served ahead of me, I finally asked an employee about the delay. I was told that if I had indicated I was dining in, my order would have been prepared in about five minutes -- unlike to-go orders, which are apparently deprioritized. Frankly, that policy is hard to understand, especially when I'd already been waiting half an hour. The employee's response was dismissive, saying it wasn't her problem because the kitchen handles the food. The lack of empathy and accountability was incredibly frustrating. Additionally, a quick suggestion: if a customer is ordering both food and drinks to go, please consider timing the drink preparation closer to when the food is ready. Making the drink immediately and then having the customer wait 30 minutes leads to a poor experience -- the drink is watered down or warm by the time they leave. I don't usually take the time to write messages like this, but the level of service I experienced was unacceptable. I hope you take this feedback seriously and consider reevaluating how to-go orders are handled. Until then, I don't plan on returning. read more

I had a delicious lunch here. It reminded me of Panera, but with a larger menu for food/drinks and homemade tasting food. The ice pumpkin spice chai latte had the perfect amount of pumpkin spice added to it. I chose the you pick two option and loved the Willy Cheng panini with the New England clam chowder, which I would love to order again. It was great having lunch on one of their outdoor tables. The food here is always fresh made per order. This is counter service sandwich, soups and salad spot with great drink options from specialty coeffes to yummy smoothies. The only thing is it gets pretty busy in the eat in area so at the highest times it might be hard to grab a spot to sit down and eat inside but always a good sign when a place is that busy! read more

This is a quaint, small town cafe / bistro that is perfect for a first date, quick cup of coffee, or a crafted coffee style creation. We ordered to go, and got a peppermint mocha, home made cookie, and a "Willie Chang" turkey club wrap. Everything was made to order, and came out in fairly quick fashion. I had the wille cheng which was turkey, bacon, onion, cheese, and garlic mayo on lightly toasted bread... omg it was delicious! My fiancé had the Ricky which he said was a better Cuban sandwich than many places that call theirs a Cuban! I had the side of greens which came with a balsamic dressing, pretty good! He had the house made chips, which he enjoyed too. There's a few tables outside, and quite a few tables inside. Didn't have an issue with street parking, plenty of spots open on a Saturday afternoon. I was in Lockport on a Saturday. It was a gorgeous day out. There was a town fair of sorts happening too, so plenty of people all around. I came here because of the yelp reviews. You walk in and place your order at the counter. When I was there that process was not well organized. They have sandwich and salads and homemade pop tarts. Plenty more I'm sure. I had one of he salads, I forget which, but it was tasty. Dressing comes on the side which I love. They have a bar you can sit at or else tables, with a few tables outside. I find it important to boost the local economy, and support your local small businesses as much as possible, but after the last few visits, my coworkers and I can't commit to that anymore. At least not with Scripts. In the beginning, they were a great little bistro, a local alternative to Panera and a great successor to the lost but not forgotten Sweet Sixteen Cafe. Sandwiches, soups, salads, and baked goods are always on the menu. However, there is something in the mix that just isn't sitting right. Literally. Every time I have eaten there, I have had to rush in massive stomach pain to the restroom a few hours later. Now, I have only ever ordered the same sandwich. Grilled chicken with provolone and roasted red pepper. It can't be that, I thought. It's got to be either the greens or the chips. Or the dressing. Many times I have switched the combos. But my coworkers have all started having the same issue. And it's from a wide array of their foods. The salad. A wrap. Multiple other sandwiches. I thought I was alone, but there are 5 others in my workplace who have all had the same issue, and the sad denominator is, it's all after we eat at Scripts. read more

Scripts Cafe came highly recommended to me by a friend who used to work in Lockport. Perhaps my expectations were too high as a result, but I've never quite been satisfied with my experience and meal here. For me, the trouble begins with the ordering process. The menu is huge (which is great, love variety!) and is posted over the counter where customers order. I often feel pressured to order quickly while I'm deciding what to eat, even when there isn't a line behind me. On my first visit this didn't bother me; people have off days, but it's unfortunately become a routine part of my visits to Scripts. That said, I've always been satisfied with my meal. My favorite sandwich is the Willie Cheng, a panini stuffed with turkey, bacon, swiss cheese, sautéed onions and garlic mayo. All sandwiches are served with balsamic-drizzled greens. The coffee, on the other hand, is a different story. I find the plain coffee drinks weak, and heavy-handed pumps of artificially sweet syrups overpower the coffee anytime I've ordered a specialty drink. read more
