I sent my pups for wash, nail and brush out to this place, they charged me $130 including tip, which I am okay with. They are bichon and I understand that they can be a lot of work considering the amount of hair. What I am not okay with them not doing their job and still charging me for it. They washed both my pups but did not brush them out and just dried them which made situation so bad for them, washing them and not brushing them caused so much matting that it took me a week to brush them out everyday and still not being able to get rid of the matting. Not only that, they did not even apply any conditioner or detangler that rendered their hair completely unmanageable. Now on top of me trying to detangle them everyday and paying them for job done in the worst fashion ever, I had to see my babies in so much discomfort And pain and pay so much more money to get them groomed where they go regularly because even after all the effort they were still matted. I will never ever recommend this place to any dog owner who cares for their dogs. read more

Totally disappointed if I know she gonna shave down all my mini labradoodle hair from neck to tail then I can do it my own. If just a shave down all over, why I need to pay for de-matting extra charge. I also found out my dog has wound by her ear. I didn't realize that until few days later. I don't even know where to start but all the employees here are some of the most caring people I know. I've been bringing my black standard poodle here since he was a baby for self washes, that was 10 years ago. During covid I started bringing both of my standard poodles there for grooming because they were close. Both of the dogs love going there vs the one I took them to before. Everyone is so sweet to them. On Tuesday I lost my 11 year old black standard poodle, Ody, suddenly. He was extremely healthy and we had been in truckee. We have figured out he got poisoned by something at some point and died within 24 hours. We have owned the house for 40 years and none of us have used rat poison but somehow that's what the doctors think it was. We are devastated. Two days after his death was his grooming appt and I asked if I could bring in Adonis since Ody was gone. They sent me the most touching note back. Then they gave me a beautiful card. I booked Allison for another grooming session, 1 months wait!! Well worth it too. She is so gentle with my pups, and my pups are HIGH maintenance. It was a 5pm appointment and they told me that they'd be ready around 8pm. My boys are super matted due to this ridiculous weather, so they called me around 745 to let me know that they should be ready around 830. 830 comes around, hubby arrived and the dogs were just about finished. Great. They look awesome again! The next day I received a phone call from Allison who apologized and asked if I wanted to bring them back so she can take a look and trim them a bit better. ummm.. I already thought they looked perfect! LOL I politely declined as I really could not tell the difference, they looked/smelled so clean. In fact, Trumpets(maltese bichon) always comes back looking better than I expect. Now that is customer service. Wet dogs are REALLY funny looking. Here's a concept, that if you like dogs even just a little bit, can't possibly earn less than five stars. My dog and I used to come here so that she could take a bath. Great if you don't have a hose in your yard or bath in your house, because the folks at Scrub-A-Pup will provide you with a large bath, warm water, soap (there's a variety of different types) and a hair dryer. They even give you a water-resistant apron to wear! Best part: the place is spotless when you arrive, but don't feel bad about leaving hair in the drain, because the staff do the cleanup. It even SMELLS good in there! They earn bonus points for elevating the bath tubs to a more comfortable level, so you don't injure your back leaning over to scrub your pup. I brought my dog here on June 6 for a nail trim. I specifically asked that his nails be done with a Dremel because I prefer the look of rounded nails that are filed down. I understand if the nails are overgrown, that clippers are used first, then a Dremel to file down the nail. My dog's nails look like they were just clipped, but I was still charged $15. If the groomer could not Dremel my dog's nails, I wish she would have said so instead of half-assing it. I recently reconnected with a friend from high school that happens to work at Scrub-A-Pup! I decided to show some support and bring Bambam (my 13 year old pomeranian) over for a cut full service cut. She did such a good job and was so good with Bam. Bam tends to be kind of a jerk, especially with new people, and she was able to bring the angel out in him. We took are dog in on 12/3/21 for bath, trim etc. payed $80.00 plus tip $20.00. The next day she stunk as bad as she did before we took her in. My husband called the soonest we could get her in was 1/4/22, had to wait a month for a REDO, and charged me for another visit $80.00. When a customer calls with a complaint I would expect to be taken care of and not be ripped off. I have only been to one other self-serve dog wash. So, I have nothing against this place. I just have been to one that was much better. The other Establishment was cleaner: the tubs were bleached; the shampoo and conditioner were labeled; there were a stack of big towels, as opposed to small towels; and there were several brushes (furminators) to choose from. I know sometimes one's experience can differ depending on the groomer, but my two dogs (a lab and a shepherd mix) came back sparkling clean and happy. The service, from the booking to the pickup was also good. I got texts confirming my appointment and when I dropped off, an estimate of how long it would take. I also got texts about the status and was able to pay online. This was really appreciated as parking around the area can get quite busy, so having updates helped me better plan and time the trip. read more

I have been taking my dog to this shop every month for about two years for a self-service wash. In most businesses that would make me a "regular". To be sure, the staff knows me and they are friendly and pleasant. However, the shop owner has never once smiled, greeted me hello (or goodbye) or made me feel welcome. After dropping a whopping $46 dollars at Petsmart to get my boy washed (NOT EVEN GROOMED), I needed to find a place like this. I'm thanking my lucky stars that such a place, because just a week after dropping that coin, Baco decides to run into a bush chasing after an animal. That animal turned out to be a skunk. Yeah, a skunk. I washed the skunk oils off for the most part, but Baco does not like getting wet and he certainly does not like taking a bath and holding him in my bathtub was a bitch of a time. I had to find a place where 1. I could do it myself (meaning for cheaper than $46 and 2. a place that can hold my dog down. This place has hooks and tethers to hold the hind and front of your dog if he decides to freak the eff out. They provide you with an elevated tub, a brush, a rubber spiky thing to get your dog lathered up, towels, and a blow dryer. All the tools necessary to get your dog looking and smelling great. All for $15!! Oh. I guess they have aprons, but I didn't see those til after I was done and dripping wet. read more

I love this place. First of all the staff are really friendly and usually when i go mornings or late afternoon they have tubs available to wash my big american bulldog. There is parking along 25th avenue and also towards the rear. It just depends on what time of the day you go which will determine if you get a parking spot, but I don't mind walking my eight year old puppy. Just want to compliment Sarah as well, she is one of the groomers here. I've been taking my dog here for the past few years and since I've known her, she always comes and greets my Maker. She is super friendly and genuine and is so accepting of my dog and others I have seen her groom. Maker remembers her every time, even though he hates his nails being cut, but Sarah always takes the time to comfort him and offer a treat afterwards. Amazing and really personable customer service! Give this place a try! The prices are reasonable for self wash, as for grooming, I would make an appointment if possible.
