Busted my phone screen because my fingers are made of butter . Not once did I drop it, but probably about three dozen times. I came to SD Fix It a couple times before, so I decided to visit again because I was always pleased with the service and the price. Needless to say, I COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED WOTH THE SERVICE. They quoted me $39 for the iPhone 6 (regular, not plus, not the S) screen replacement, and that it'd be done within a half an hour. SD Fix It even beat that time frame, which is great, because I've always got things to do, and my time is at a premium. I haven't found a better price for screen replacement, and haven't heard of a better completion time. I went outside for a smoke and to clean my sunglasses and they were done. The business even cleaned out my charging port for no additional cost, which is super nice. I've tried to clean it out myself but can't get it as clean as the people who repair them all the time. I guess it goes to show, that if you continue to turn out a quality service in a quick manner, you can be sure to have repeat customers. 20/10 would recommend, 100% have recommended to 5 people already, and it's been an hour since they completed the work. read more

Do not take Anything here! I found this guy on eBay. I sent my phone in for repair for glass only. He received my phone and immediately told me camera is broken. I use my camera everyday because my job requires me to log in with a picture of myself. There was NOTHING wrong with my camera at all! He first tells me the camera is shaking, then before sending back to me tell me basically the camera won't work when I get it! Like seriously? He's a con! He takes good parts out of your phone if you don't fix what else he says is wrong or they don't know how to fix phones and shorted my camera. I am a 100% honest person. I am a person where I don't like leaving bad reviews because I know of the negative effect it can give a business and especially now when businesses are struggling. But this guy claims he did nothing wrong and is basically calling me a liar. I now cannot work til I put more $$ into fixing my phone. Read the other reviews, you will see I'm not the only one. They're really efficient and I really like that. They told me about an hour and it was less than that! Their prices are fairly cheap but my phone screen keeps popping off. It didn't do that when I had my apple screen and when I brought it back, they fixed it but it was still popping out and they told me that it was my phone. But when they put the screen on there the first time, it was on there correctly. Maybe I'll just bring it back to mike, who knows how to lay a screen down on my phone. NEVER AGAIN. So I never write bad reviews on yelp, its got to really be bad for me to take the time but I feel this is warranted. I've had my iPhone 5 repaired here four times now. I've cracked my screen thanks to my butter fingers multiple times, and initially thought this place was great. My screen has come dislodged twice now from the internal phone (after having it newly repaired here) to where you can see the light coming thru the side. It happened when I dropped my phone lightly on carpet from my sofa (nothing where this would be warranted to dislodge from the phone kind of trauma) so I took it back in today because I figured they would just reattach the screen at no charge (should be a very easy fix).... Oh no no. The girl that was awesome there, has apparently left and so they had new girls working there. The girl that I spoke to (tats all over) had the customer service skills of a caterpillar and I explained that this was the 4th time I had been in and the screen kept coming dislodged from the body and that I didn't feel like I should be responsible for paying to have it repaired correctly. I could tell this was not going to happen as soon as I plead my case. She went in the back, and about 4 seconds later came back and said... All I could offer is a $5 discount. I again explained the screen was coming out with normal wear and tear and had never happened before having the phone repaired there. Oh no no. There was not going to be any reasoning with this chick. "I can take $5 off. That's it" Basically I ended up eating another $65 and asked the girl to have her manager call me. No call. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PHONE HERE!!! THEY WILL BREAK IT!!! After they "fixed" my iPhone 6 screen, the screen popped off every single week for a month! They would fix it for free under their "30 day warranty" but it was a huge hassle to go drop my phone off for an hour every week! It had never popped off before they "fixed" my shattered screen and I've never even heard of that being a common problem. When my 30 day warranty was up and it popped off again (obviously, because they're incompetent) they said it was permanently damaged and they couldn't pop it back in without replacing my whole screen (???) Ultimately, my phone ended up shattering because the screen was popped off and the phone case couldn't protect it. Do not waste your time, money and phone's future! Also, if you do plan on going there and they try to scam you (which I saw them do to two customers before me) just threaten to talk to whoever is above the general manager because he will comply IMMEDIATELY after you ask to speak to them. They are SUCH a scam! UPDATE: After taking my phone to be fixed by ACTUAL professionals (I'll be nice and not name but I used Yelp) they showed me how the part that 'SD Fix it' put on was refurbished, extremely flimsy and collapsed in his hand. For anyone that doesn't know, a refurbished part means they are used from other people's phones! On top of that, they don't use Apple certified screens and use fake ones that can be bought online for 99 cents, yet charge you $100. TOTAL SCAM!! They "fixed" my iPhone 6 after it was cracked , when i got the phone back from them there was blue marks on the screen, i then went back a 2nd time and they did not properly install it , then i went back a 3rd time, all with in 24 hours. thinking it was "fixed" after the 3rd time , i went out of town and have my phone completely shut down after a faulty screen. I found the SD Fix It booth at the Swap meet but, they don't accept credit cards there so I went and visited their store in Kearny Mesa. My iPhone 5 was shattered badly. My home button had fallen out and exposed the inner mechanisms of the phone. Also, most of the glass was missing from the bottom area around the home button. I was able to get it fixed in less than 20 minutes, for $65!! (Worker at the swap meet gave me a student discount) I'm very happy with my phone now! The home button works perfectly and the glass looks exactly how it did when I first purchased the phone. The man who fixed my phone, I think his name was Kelly??, talked me into getting a $10 tempered glass screen protector. Hopefully that prevents future damage. All in all, very impressed with this place and the final product! I would definitely recommend SD Fix it to anyone who has a cracked iPhone, and isn't willing to pay full price at the Apple store for a new one, or an upgrade. read more

So I had accidentally crushed my screen and went to Kobes to see if I could find a place that did a decent job. All ran for about the same rate and so I picked this company. The first time around they fixed they did a very poor quality job, my screen was not responsive at all and I was utterly disappointed with the crappy quality of the screen and how it had also gotten very pixelated. Then, the day before my warranty expired I went to their actual store on Raytheon and the saw the poor job and replaced my screen again in 30 minutes. My screen looked and ran like it had when I had first boughten it! I'm not sure if it was just because I was at the store and maybe they were holding higher quality screens than at the swap meet, but I am grateful I got the screen replaced with the warranty. I brought my son's phone to them a week ago for a broken LCD screen and picked just picked it up. Not one day later, the LCD screen was broken again. It was discolored, but still worked. So I brought it back because I thought that they would honor their 30 day warranty. The technician said that he was able to tell that the LCD screen broke because it was dropped. There was no other damage to the phone. He said that the screen can be very sensitive and just dropping it on a blanket could damage it. I don't know what kind of cheap parts they use. I'm extremely disappointed to say I received less than stellar service today. While the girl was nice, she was not as helpful as the girls were last time. My repaired phone screen is peeling off. I asked her if they can glue it back on and she said no. After prompting her, she checked with the technician and he apparently also said no. She claims its because I dropped the phone and the side panels that hold the screen onto it broke so it cannot be glued back on. Ok, I don't know about these things, so I'll take that as a loss on my part. Bummer. BUT the problem is she wants to charge me $75 for a new screen. This after being a return customer who paid $55 just a few months ago. When I asked her if there's anything she can do for me, she just said no and let me walk away. I mean, I know prices go up, but $20? Especially after the last time when they gave me the swap meet price I was really hoping they would do the same thing. Horrible customer service from the Mexican lady at the front. She basically called me a liar when she's clearly confusing me. Came here to fix my daughters mini iPad screen and she wanted to charge me more than what I was quoted over the phone. Not only that but they replaced my screen with a defected screen. If I could leave zero stars I would. I dropped something off for repair in February and never got any calls back so I called a total of 5 times over a 9 month period. Every time I called they gave me some weird reason as to why the work hadn't started yet, they told me multiple times that I had to "approve" the work even though I had approved it in person and over the phone. I finally went in one last time thinking it would finally be fixed. Not only did they not have it done but they gave me a completely different diagnosis than they had originally given me and they NEVER called me to inform me. They have no communication with customers and are completely unorganized. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I've never had such a terrible experience with any establishment as this one. My iPhone 7 was cracked, so I brought it in at noon on Saturday to get it replaced and when I got it back at 1:30 pm, it seemed to be working fine. As I used the GPS to get home, my phone starting bugging out pulling up pictures from my camera and going in and out of the GPS screen, randomly calling numbers, and I couldn't stop it. So I took it back immediately and asked to get it repaired yet again. (The person working at the reception began to get snippy and rude with me and my husband-- completely unprofessional and uncalled for.) She even insinuated that what I was complaining of was not happening with my phone but would replace it. While we left it to get repaired, my husband and I called around to different iPhone shops. One told us that there are different screens-- original iPhone 7 OEM screens and knock off screens. However, he highly recommended the knock-off screens not be used because it causes a lot of problems especially on the iPhone 7s. Now knowing this, I researched videos online of knock off screens versus original OEM screens. Key differences: the appearance of your screen will be a lot lighter, the sensitivity will be more difficult when you drag icons around your screen and you can feel that there is more resistance on your screen. We now knew they were using this on my phone. So, we called SD Fix It Repair to verify what kind of screen they were using on my phone. We asked, "Are you using the original iPhone 7 OEM or something else?" The receptionist says, "I can't go back and ask." After much demand, she finally takes her phone back, and we hear her say, "I told them when they first brought it in we are using the highest OEM quality." That was the most blatant lie, and I got upset quickly. She never once said that, and I could not be angrier. The accusation before we left to drop off my phone was something I could deal with because I hate confrontations. But after she blatantly lied, I was not okay with her or the service. We came back to pick up my phone just as they were about to close, and the receptionist again insinuated that I was lying about the issues with my phone but said they replaced the screen anyway. I got my phone back and it looked different-- the screen projection was more pastel and less bold than I remembered it to be, but I warily took my phone back since my phone appeared to be working. The very next day on Sunday afternoon, my GPS began doing these ghost actions again. Randomly calling people, it would go in and out of my GPS picking random applications to open, and much more. (If I could post a video of it on Yelp, I would, because I have plenty.) They were closed Sunday. Monday (today: July 3, 2017) rolls around and we take it in. I just want to get my old cracked screen and get a refund. The new receptionist lady refunds me my money, and to clarify, I ask her if I can get my original cracked screen. She says, "Yes, it will be THE ORIGINAL iPHONE 7 SCREEN." What, then, was on my screen?! Caught in a lie. I asked if I could get my original cracked screen, again, and the receptionist said, "It won't be YOUR original iPhone 7 screen. Just another cracked iPhone 7 screen. They take the screens, put them in a box, and take them to a swap meet." In less than 48 hours, my own screen is gone. As soon as they closed shop Saturday at 5 pm, they took my screen to a swap meet-- poof, gone. I asked, again, for the SECOND time to speak to the person working on my phone just as I did on Saturday, and again, the receptionist said, "No, they will not come here to talk to you." "Even if I just want to know what they are using to put on my phone? I can't see what the product is to ensure I'm getting what I want, and they won't put a defective product on it?" "No, I'm in charge. They won't speak to you." Worst service. Unheard of. I got my iPhone 7 back with a dirtier and more cracked screen, and it was an ORIGINAL OEM iPhone 7 screen. This place is a S C A M. I first got my screen replaced by them at the sports arena swap meet. I got a new screen for 45$ and it was good for the first month and a half but then the screen started to come off. I knew I was past the 30 day warranty so I chalked it up to bad luck and went back to get another one. This time they told me they had $30 used screens that still had the 30 day warranty. I got one of those and within the first month the screen started to come off again! I came back only to be told that since I had bought a used screen they couldn't inspect or fix it. That's some bull. Now not only do I have a a screen coming apart it's hindering the rest of my phone like making the vibrations and silent modes come on and off. AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS.
