She found this company with multiple 5-star reviews and booked a deep cleaning. We made a conscious effort to take our dogs and spend some time away from the house so the cleaners could work without us around/in the way. We had the dogs leashed up and ready to leave just before 11 am (scheduled time), but no one showed up until 11:30 am. We were gone for over 4 hours, and stayed in the backyard once we returned. We heard, "we're done!" and my girlfriend went in and thanked the woman (a second woman was already gone, I assume waiting outside) and I got the OK to let the dogs in and come inside. When I got inside, I was surprised to see dust almost everywhere, smudges on windows and appliances, rugs un-vacuumed, loads of dog hair just under the edge of the couch (not expecting them to move furniture or anything excessive), and a rag left on the stove top. I then asked my girlfriend what the cost of this "deep cleaning" was and was again surprised that the typical rate is nearly $300. I visited the Coastal House Cleaning website to see what their service breakdown was. Per their website: Clean cobwebs and dust shelves - (nightstands and dressers were wiped down, but no other flat surfaces were wiped down) Dust ceiling fan & blades - (ceiling fan in bedroom was cleaned, with big dust chunks left on the floor. Living room fan untouched, see photo) Vacuum carpeted areas - (we don't have carpet but there is a large area rug that was untouched) Sweep and mop hardwood floors - (partial mopping done) Clean all light switches & door knobs - (see front door lock photo) Stove and appliances cleaned - (stove top appeared wiped down, microwave untouched, see photo) Countertops and backsplashes cleaned - (were already cleaned by us, no visible change) Clean & dry shower door, track & glass - (we have a shower curtain, so not applicable) Clean the inside and outside of toilets - (done, but bidet knobs on toilets were untouched -- just dusty and needed a quick once-over with a rag) Blinds, shutters, and window ledges wiped down - (not done at all, see photos) Baseboards dusted and wiped clean - (not done at all, see photos) So then I think... okay maybe they gave us a standard cleaning? Checked the website and I guess we didn't get a standard cleaning, either (no trash was emptied, no lights dusted.) I am extremely disappointed. When my girlfriend texted the owner, who she had scheduled with, we were asked if we did a walk-through at the end. No, we had dogs anxious to get in the house and had we immediately seen any of this stuff, the cleaners would've been at our home another 4+ hours. When I read over the reviews, I see a lot of move in/move out cleanings, which probably don't meet much criticism because people aren't actively living in those places. My girlfriend and I spent another hour cleaning the house after the cleaners left. If you're looking for a DEEP clean, this isn't the company to go with. Honestly I wouldn't hire them for a standard cleaning after this experience either.

Shane and Bryan provide a service that is 100% worth every penny. The couch that I had them clean was dingy and had some dog hair and areas that you could tell needed cleaning. I thought it would take maybe an hour to clean, but Bryan spent probably about 3- 3.5hrs to clean my sofa making sure to get every square inch of it cleaned. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. During the cleanings, the staff used harsh cleaning chemicals on my marble floors that were not appropriate for natural stone. As a result, my marble floors sustained significant damage. The cost to repair the damage was $1,690. I obtained multiple estimates, and this amount was reasonable--in fact, another repair estimate was significantly higher. They were also observed using a bucket of water and a wet mop to clean my hardwood floors. They have refused to compensate me as I did not give them notice within 24 hours. Given the damage caused and the quality of the service, I would like to pursue a small claims against the company. I believe they have blocked my phone number, and unfortunately, they have no visible address so I have been unable to give them proper service. Stop hiding and allow my day in court!

Jen was remarkable with my questions, concerns, suggestions, budget - you name it - she listened and would offer professional comfort (is there such a thing in carpet cleaning if so this company offers it). Their prices seemed on par with others (and I got alot of quotes) but it was Jen's level of knowledge and understanding that stood out. She quoted me a price but said the tech would assess the situation (while there) and modify the price if he didn't think certain carpet areas needed heavy treatment. The tech Angel was truly a hard working magician. We were both skeptical of the carpet condition but at one point (during phone call) we both said LET'S GO FOR IT. Before arrival, I even received a text with a tracking link showing their ETA, such a helpful feature, especially for opening the gate on time without any hassle. They sent Christian, and he was excellent. Very friendly, respectful, and took the time to explain everything before getting started. My carpet was honestly in very bad shape, but he managed to bring it back to looking almost brand new. And of course, the price was very reasonable compared to other businesses.
