Later that day, I called him to come back and clean the entire sofa solely because he's hassle-free, professional, quick and they smelled so clean! He's fair on his pricing. For a full sofa deep clean the total came out to $220. The cushions and sofa covers were power washed. I wasn't watching the clock. He took less than an hour each appointment. Sends text updates when he's on his way. Communicates easily over phone calls. Any additional upholstery detailing we'll want in the future-- we'll book Eco-Dry again.

Being bossy regarding my dog and my buyer was present and contingency wasn't lifted till later today so he got his saved since I completely had to let him slide and not go off on him in front of the buyer. My agent told me the buyer had actually mentioned to her agent that the guy was not at all friendly so I know I was not alone. Decent Cleaning but hidden fees…read more Had it done yesterday- they have a coupon for ($60 for 4 areas)- I needed my stairs done most of all (which counts as one room) and then chose 3 other areas which needed a little help. When I first called, the woman who answered the phone was very pleasant and professional. She offered me an appt. the very next day with a 3 hour window. She told me that there was a "trip fee" of $10 to drive to Carlsbad- I said ok (I mean do I really want to argue over $10?) When the technicial arrived- right at the end of the window- very nice- he told me that he needed to "pre-treat" my stairs which meant he uses a stronger set of cleaner and it costs an extra $10. I didn't think it really needed it since there were no stains, just light traffic marks, but I said ok (again, who am I to argue over $10?) He cleaned the 4 areas very quickly once he was set up-- about 35 minutes. Overall, the carpet looked clean. My only complaint is that is seemed a bit more wet than I would have liked and it had a chemical smell (when the doors are closed). Some areas were not dry until the following day. I wrote a check for $79.95 (if I used a credit card, it would have been an additional 4% [$3.20] on top of that) So, overall, my carpet is clean. But I am a bit disappointed that the statement on the coupon "$14.95 per area, Basic service with no hidden fees" is not true. I paid an additional 33% ($20) of hidden fees.

In fact, I ended up contacting Niche and Clean minutes after they left because: They did not clean the oven or refrigerator (part of deep clean services). Additionally, they did not thoroughly clean bathroom (shower wall still had mildew/build-up). So, they returned 10 minutes after they left and cleaned shower and refrigerator. They forgot the oven. Again. After they left the second time, I noticed they dusted around items on end tables. So I had to dust myself. My agreement with Maria when we scheduled deep cleaning, was: 1 bedroom, 1 office, kitchen, dining room, family room, refrigerator, and kitchen. We agreed on a discounted price (she took $60 off total) in exchange for a couch in our office that we are not using. Her team did not even end up cleaning the one bedroom and, of course, did a terrible job in bathroom, family room, and kitchen. While Maria was gracious and tried to schedule a time for her to return so she could clean our oven herself, our schedules did not work. Then, this: 1) She texted last week requesting payment AND to say she needed to pick up the couch. 2) Since I did receive anything close to satisfactory service, I said I was not going to pay for services that were unsatisfactory. In retrospect, I can see that was a pretty unreasonable statement and a reach for me; I imagine how unsettling that would be for a business owner to hear. That said, she did tell my mother-in-law that if the job isn't done well, there would be some recourse. 3) An hour after her text, Maria shows up on our doorstep demanding payment in cash or Zelle (we had neither). She wanted the full, not the negotiated payment (since she was not going to pay $60 for our couch). I completely understand paying for services. I do NOT understand demanding FULL payment, without offering a discount for service recovery. Yes, Maria was so kind and tried several times to return and clean our oven. But - what about the other things her team members missed? They had to come back 10 minutes after they left to clean things they missed. Regardless of the oven or the couch - there seemed to be NO consideration for the one bedroom they did not clean OR for the generally poor quality of what they did clean. Maria's defense for this was, "But I already paid the two workers. So now I lost money because I already paid them." I am not sure if or how her team members were paid their full rate (apparently they have since been let go). And I am definitely not sure how that responsibility was placed fully on me. I understand that my complaints about unsatisfactory cleaning services pale in comparison to most issues people are facing. I also think this information (or ratings in general) can be useful. I think those of Maria's clients who receive wonderful/stellar service are lucky. I know she has loyal and appreciative customers. This is much higher than dozens of laundry places in San Diego. The city took over street parking for bike lanes and this is terrible for this area There is only one street space on Park Blvd. for the entire block for disability parking. The back of Park & Laundry is an inclined ramp. Absolutely not safe for wheelbound persons or anyone with balance circumstances. Complimentary WIFI for current customers. Bathroom. Attendant on duty at all times.
