Later that day, I called him to come back and clean the entire sofa solely because he's hassle-free, professional, quick and they smelled so clean! He's fair on his pricing. For a full sofa deep clean the total came out to $220. The cushions and sofa covers were power washed. I wasn't watching the clock. He took less than an hour each appointment. The 20 minutes spent on my 1200 sq/ft carpeted La Costa condo at 7737 Caminito Monarca looks so so. However, the tech that was here this morning almost got his head thrown through the wall for his complete rude and unprofessional behavior first thing this morning. Being bossy regarding my dog and my buyer was present and contingency wasn't lifted till later today so he got his saved since I completely had to let him slide and not go off on him in front of the buyer. My agent told me the buyer had actually mentioned to her agent that the guy was not at all friendly so I know I was not alone. I called to get a quote for carpet cleaning for an area rug and the man (I believe his name was Rob or Ron) said they don't do that (website clearly states otherwise) so I asked what services they provide and he said "wall to wall carpeting, upholstery, and area rugs". I have used many carpet cleaning services in my life, but never had incredible work that Robert achieved. I was first impressed that he vacuumed all 4 rooms before beginning. He pre treated the entire carpeted area. The area rug in the living room was so soiled that you could barely see the faded pattern. I honestly thought it was worn away and was a sorry cause. I was really considering replacing the whole thing! Then came Robert! Holy Smokes! It is like brand new. So impressive. We had two area carpets that needed to be cleaned. Robert, the owner took our call on Friday and said that he could be there Saturday morning at 10 AM. Saturday morning at 9:45 AM I received a text saying that Robert was en route. Robert arrived on time After discussing the options he suggested he could clean the carpets more thoroughly by taking them out into the drive parking area. Also protecting the hardwood floors inside. I asked if he cleaned the tile floors to which he said yes. And gave me an estimate for the kitchen and bathroom tile floors. They were both in very bad shape with the grout, quite dirty. So he added it to the original carpet job. He also cleaned a small hallway laundry room on his way out.. it took about 2 hours. The professionalism was A plus ... friendly, communicative, and the job was excellent workmanship. Very reasonably priced, I would highly recommend Robert and his company. I used Eco-Dry last year and was very happy with everything, Rob was professional and  friendly, so I was definitely going to use Eco-Dry again this time. I called to book an appointment, but no one picked up so I easily booked the appointment online. They only had early mornings available so I picked the 8am-10am arrival window for this Friday morning. I received an email confirmation that the appointment was booked. I get a call from Rob at 8:24am saying that he's here at the complex. I gave him the unit number and a few minutes later he knocked at the door. When I answered the door, we both didn't say hi right away like most people would. Rob didn't look particularly friendly this morning, so instead of saying hi, I asked if he was ok. He got defensive, and with a bit of attitude, replied - "Why would you ask me if I'm ok?" I was a bit discombobulated due to staying up late cleaning and therefore not sleeping enough the night before, so I wasn't sure if I was interpreting his mood correctly. Confused, I just said - "Oh, I meant to say good morning" I even explained to him that I was very tired. I asked Rob to come inside and told him we would need him to do 2 rooms (a bedroom and a livingroom), instead of the 3 I originally scheduled. He said okay and took a look around. After assessing everything, he told me the cost would be $140. I asked how this was possible, because online I received a quote of $120 for three rooms and last year he charged me $130 for our entire condo. He simply replied - "Oh." Our unit is pretty tough to get to, so I'm glad Rob is able to set up and reach our unit. While he went to move his van to the garage and set everything up, I moved things to the balcony to be out of the way. He came back to vacuum, and I did see him pretreat the carpet with a spray before beginning the steam cleaning. He put special chemicals on stubborn areas and went over the areas again where needed. Rob gave me blue plastic shoe covers to be able to walk on my carpet, which I appreciated. But then at one point it looked like he wasn't even  going to clean under the sofa, until I offered to help him move it. Once he was done, our total cost was recalculated to $120. I paid cash and included a tip for him. He gave me the tip back. I found this to be very insulting. Maybe the tip wasn't big enough for him, but how would you feel if someone returned the tip you gave them? I felt confused and humiliated. I also gave him a tip last year, and he had no problem accepting it back then. Overall, I am really disappointed with my experience today. The lack of customer service, the fact that he didn't smile once today, and to top it off - The carpet didn't even look as good as it did last year when Rob did it. After he left, I realized that he did not even clean the closet in the bedroom. Maybe it's my fault because I should've left the closet door open, but I figured he would ask if I wanted it done, like he does any other time he comes to a closed door. I can overlook the lack of customer service, and even the morning attitude if the carpet looked amazing, but it didn't. So here I am writing this review. I feel I was overcharged for having only a living room, one bedroom and a supposedly free hallway done. I originally planned on using Eco-Dry again when I move out next year. But not anymore. I'll just use my Bissell carpet cleaner at that rate. Tip for Rob: Please drink coffee with creamer and have breakfast in the morning. These guys service La Jolla. They were able to come in less that a week. They seemed very honest not only in the cost, but in what service they needed to provide to meet what you want. We have a baby that is starting to crawl around. We wanted to clean our entire house. They suggested a hot steam to disinfect. The service took only 2 hours and 4 hours to dry for the most part. Outstanding! I contact Robert on Wednesday & he came to my home on Saturday morning. He was thorough, pleasant and completely professional. The actual cost ended up being lower than the quote he gave me on the phone too. And most importantly, he removed EVERY stain from the carpet. It is like new. Please see attached photos - every single one of these black marks are gone! These were mostly rather old dog vomit stains, which I was nervous would not come out at all. They are all gone now. I could tell the owner knew his stuff after talking to him on the phone. The initial price was a little higher than other quotes I got but, after reading a lot of other Yelp reviews some places reel you in with a lower price and then try to up-sell once they get there. I was quoted $99 for two rooms and that's what I paid, he even did a rug at no extra charge. I have not wanted to tell all my friends about how great a service was in a long time; Eco-Dry Carpet Care changed that today! Robert takes pride in his business, and as a result, his customers get the best care out there. I requested a quote online very late at night and was impressed that I got an email response that same evening. Most of the other quotes came in late the next day and even the following day and most of them wanted "more detail" before they would quote me a price. I could tell right away that Eco-Dry was not going to try to add on additional services & fees by how detailed their response to my request was. I loved that I could quickly and easily book online. The booking service sent me a text to confirm my appointment and then also sent me a text when Robert was on his way and again when he completed the job. Robert arrived promptly and while showing him the areas I needed cleaned, I realized that I left out an entire love seat and miscounted the dining room chairs. Robert did it all and even came in at $10 below my original quote! He was able to get the stains out of all our cream microfiber and burlap pieces which I was not expecting. I am shocked. I booked this company to have my carpets cleaned today and they blew me off. I took the day off of work for this appointment!!! I spent the morning to get everything off the floor and ready. My appointment was at 2:00, at 2:15 my neighbor knocked on my door to tell me they were downstairs. The service man told her my phone wasn't working which is impossible. I went down stairs to let him in and he was gone. I called him and he said there was no parking spot, I informed him I had a spot right out front for him, but he rudely dismissed me and said he wasn't available and then hung up on me!!! I have been a loyal and steady consumer of this company for well over a decade. Having just cleaned my carpets about a week ago, I of course, spilled red wine on my carpet last night. I've used Eco-Dry before and they did a great job for our apartment. We liked their work so much that we recommended them to our apartment managers for everyone in our building to use. Alright, now the time comes to use these guys again (we party a lot.) Who do I call? No brainer right? I call these guys up and leave a message. 24 hours later, no response. I call again. I get to speak to someone and I ask him if he has us in his database? He says, "Oh, I don't keep a database so we'll have to go over everything again." Awesome...I tell him about how we referred him to our apartment managers. He says he remembers and appreciates the business that he's been getting from our referral. I say "Great,well its that time again and our direct neighboring apartment would like to get their carpet cleaned as well on the same day. Do you offer a discount for two places a wall apart from eachother?" Eco - "Oh sure, we can probably work something out..." "....well what exactly is the discount? We paid $100 last time." Eco - ".....we can work that out when I get there" "Well I paid $100 last time, we have given you multiple referrals, and my neighbors want their carpets cleaned on the same day. What is it going to cost?" Eco - "....Either $160 for each apartment or $130" "You charged me $100 last time!" Eco - "Well I don't want to do that again." Wow. Just... wow. Need the carpet in my living room cleaned, and prompted by the many glowing reviews I decided to call Eco-Dry to set up an appointment. The gentleman on the other end sounded confused when I asked about carpet cleaning, then said that his phone had been ringing off-the-hook for the last half hour. I realize that if your company does a good job that your phone will ring a lot, but it is no excuse to be short or rude on the phone with a willing customer. He said he had an appointment next week, which I was happy to book. When I asked if there might be a better time to call to discuss the appointment further, he rudely stated, "Now". Really? By now I was done with him and politely told him to simply nevermind and thank you, and he just hung up. Just had my dirty, filthy, dog-urine stained carpet cleaned by these guys and they did an *amazing* job, super courteous, punctual, respectful of my home and GREEN on top of everything. I had dog-urine stains and random food stains everywhere, and they were pretty deep into my nice carpet, but they were able to get rid of most if not all the stains (which were exacerbated, I'm sure, by my rubbing them in even deeper with Resolve) and for spot cleaning a master bedroom, a quarter of a guest bedroom and my walk-in closet, they charged a very reasonable $140 and took about an hour and a half. Even though they're busy, I begged and got an early appointment. The owner himself came out for the job and he was super nice and professional. I was incredibly lucky not too long ago because days prior to a wine party, I had called to schedule Eco-Dry to come out and clean my old and strangely frequent-appearing stained carpet for the day following the party. These guys were one heck of a life saver....not that my life depended on clean carpet...BUT...when I woke up that day with a fuzzy head after the wine party and a strange smell that soon uncovered red wine vomit still fermenting on my beige apartment carpet, I began to think I would soon be living with a giant purple stain to remind me why drinking is bad. The guys were great when they showed up. I had to try to explain that the first stains they saw were some type of under the carpet mystery that would re-appear every six months or so. At first I figured they must have smelled "frequent customer" from that speech because when I showed them the purple vomit stain, I couldn't believe how smoothly they began to tackle it, but in actuality they just know their stuff. I wanted to get my carpet cleaned and was considering renting the rug doctor. I'm so happy I decided to go with Eco-Dry instead. I set up an appointment on a Saturday morning, took the dog for a walk to get out of the way, and I had a fresh clean carpet 45 minutes later. Although there were no major stains to start with, it was much easier to have my rugs professionally done then messing with it myself. The cost was not much more than renting a rug doctor, buying the chemicals, and spending probably a couple hours doing the work. I liked it so much that I scheduled a carpet cleaning for my boyfriend's place. Although his was in worse shape (pet stains here and there), they were able to make look good as new.
