I come here often and was pretty happy with the service until today. Vilma was working in the counter and seemed annoyed when I interrupted her cellphone time. OH Senor Burro how I wanted to like/love you since you opened across the street from where I reside. Butttttttt...I just couldn't. Nested right on the corner of the 125 fwy, where the Albertson's is located. Parking in front of the building is limited, however you are able to park closer to Albertson's if need be. When walking in, I was NOT welcomed by the 2 women at the cash register and had to welcome them for me coming in! LOL There was a lot of people in there at the time placing orders to go and so did we. The wait was not that bad. I ordered the shrimp burrito with ONLY the following: Shrimp, their house white sauce and salsa. NO RICE...etc. The shrimp was not drained so eating it was like eating a wet shrimp burrito. No BURRO (Bueno) for $8.09. My husband ended up getting the Cali surf & turf. He said it was alright but not a go getting again for $10.29. This was my 5th time trying this place out and it wasn't until now that that I was impressed enough to write a review as I usually come in the evening. I ordered the mini fish tacos and the cashier Kimberly was extremely nice and informative and the tacos were absolutely delicious the fish was perfectly battered and crispy and had all of the right toppings, white sauce and a mildly spicy but very tasty pico de Gallo. The tortillas were handmade and warm. So good that I asked the cook her name. Her name was Miriam and I told her I was only coming by when she's cooking, hehe . Hit and miss with this place. I've had two very good burritos and one not so good combo plate. Prose: Good selection of food and their tortillas are made on site. The Burro's I've had were tasty and enjoyable. Cons: salsas are limited and you have to buy Pico, carrots and chips. The Adobada meat was really salty and dry on my combo plate the other day and the guacamole and Pico on the plate was almost non existent. With many very good Mexican Food restaurants in the area, I was surprised to see a new shop opening in this location. If someone was bold enough to open here in the empty Subway location, I felt obligated to give them a try. Walked in shortly after 9:00 and the place was empty. I had to ring the service bell not once, but twice, for service. I was greeted by a very friendly and enthusiastic cashier who did apologize for keeping me waiting. I ordered their "Hashbrown" breakfast burrito. I was informed the hash brown was a frozen patty, so that was a non starter. I was told I could substitute fresh cut fries instead, so that is what I did. I also ordered it without cheese or sour cream. First, the good: The salsa in their bar is 5 stars. The flavor in their salsa is amazing, my new favorite! The tortilla was delicious and cooked to perfection. The bacon, sausage and eggs were spot on. The restaurant was very clean, spotless. The "not-so-good": the fresh cut fries were not good, they were undercooked, limp, and soggy. It looked like they dumped them straight from the fry basket into the burrito. The greasy, soggy fries saturated the contents of the burrito with fryer oil. The size of the burrito, at just over $8.00 with tax, was seriously lacking. Considering the other Mexican food options in the area which are solid, and well established, they need to up their game a bit on portions. Bottom line is there are much better options in the area. This place does show promise. I hope this place becomes a little less stingy on portions, and get a handle on the greasiness of their fresh cut, undercooked, fries. I will try them again in a couple of months to see if they have improved. For now, I'll take a pass. read more

Hot sauces are all Amazing & Delicious!!! If you like it HOT get the habanero , the red has some kick too and the green is definitely mild all fantastic!! We usually get some to go. I live nearby and have ordered from here more times than I can count. My order is almost always ready within 5-10 minutes unless they are slammed, and their prices are quite reasonable. Damn good place. Food is fresh and light it won't hit your stomach like a brick. The red sauce is a bit salty but no big deal. The stand out on the menu are the Fish and Tijuana Tacos. Delicious. If I could I would give this place no stars. I have been in there a few times because I live close and the woman that takes our order is always rude but I just ignore it because since covid it's hard to find decent customer service I went in there tonight to order my family dinner and the woman was at the register and I was asking questions about the breakfast burritos and she wouldn't talk she would just point up at the menu above her. So I ordered my next item, and let me tell you I am hard of hearing and ordering though plexi glass, so I am trying to hear her and speak clearly myself so she can hear me through the glass, and she looks at me and puts her hand up and tells me to turn it down. I've never felt so disrespected by a food service person in my life. I walked out and will never step foot in there again. Neither will any of my family that frequents there. When we eat there, we normally drop about $60-80 dollars and tip them even though we take our food to go. Let me start by saying I eat Mexican Food ALOT so seeing A new spot open up in the area made it a must try. Boy, was I glad that I did. The restaurant is brand new and it shows. The whole place was spotless and well maintained. Always a positive when grabbing a bite to eat. I was greeted immediately upon entering to smiling faces ready to help me. I ordered the TJ style taco plate with rice and beans. I got Pollo Adobado tacos (Yes Pollo Adobado!) And they were delicious. I also ordered a Cali Burro with Pollo Adobado as well which had an incredible amount of flavor. The burro was HUGE! Easily enough to be shared. They have a self serve salsa bar with all the fixings. The flavor and spice level on the salsa were perfect. Highly recommend the spiciest of the bunch but they were all equally as tasty. Also, I got a side of their Secret White Sauce, i was sure glad that i did. It provided the perfect creaminess and extra flavor to all the food. It was so good that i even dipped the included chips in it and it acted as an amazing dip. All in all it was a great experience and delicious food. Wow!! So we called ahead, as we usually do for Mexican places, to ask which menu items are cooked with lard, as we cant eat pork products - and were pleasantly surprised to hear that they dont use lard at this restaurant. Nice! That said, we decided to order take out and were extremely happy with the food. The cali surf and turf burrito was awesome and not skimpy on the shrimp! Best cali surf and turf I've had, I didn't feel like the burrito was mostly fries as when I've gotten it from other places. Hubby got the breakfast steak and egg burrito and felt there was enough steak that the egg didn't overwhelm it. He loved it. We also ordered a steak quesadilla which was nice and cheesy and given to us with plenty of guac and sour cream, as well as some pico. My biggest complain was that we ordered 2 combos, rice and beans with each burrito, but only got one with rice and beans. The only other complaint I had was that the beans were not very smooth, close to mashed canned consistency. So my advice is, if you go, stick to the burritos. The rice was pretty good if you do need a side, but someone should work on fixing up those beans for certain. read more
